"Whoa, whoa!" a young man cries out as his horse spooks.
"NEEEEEEEIGHHHHHH!" the horse cries out, rearing up and flailing violently.
"Whoa, horse! Whoa!" the young man calls again, gently placing his hand on the horse, "Everything is alright… Shhh… Shhh… I just cleared this area of monsters. I assure you, you will be fine…"
The horse, seeming to understand the young man, snorts and calms down a bit. Still, though, her ears twitch and she lashes her tail a bit. The young man sighs and settles down near some old ashes. There was a fire here awhile ago, but it had since burned out.
Being resourceful, the young man has in his possession some wood planks. The horse, which is a pure black horse with a long black mane, stands and watches curiously. The young man sets the wood planks carefully before drawing from his bag a single fire arrow and an old rusty bow.
"This should last us for the night," the young man says to his horse.
As he draws the bow string, the old rusty bow snaps. He sighs heavily as the wood planks ignite. At last, he could rest peacefully. Over head, the clouds passed gently, briefly covering the full moon.
"Rest, horse… Tomorrow we head out again…" the young man says.
Life has not been easy for the young man. Most of Hyrule has fallen into disrepair and resources are far and few between. He has just ran out of supplies and has nothing left to feed his horse. Luckily for him, she doesn't mind grazing on the nearby grass.
As the young man is settling down to sleep, a rustling noise was heard in the grass. Curiously, he awakens again. At first, he sees nothing and sighs. Then, a small scaly face appears from the grass.
"Hello," the young man says.
The creature, whatever it is, runs and ducks back into the grass. He sighs and continues staring at the spot it disappeared to. The black horse neighs anxiously, stomping a foot. The young man gets up and pulls the grass aside, revealing a baby dragon.
"Hello, little one," he says quietly, "I won't hurt you…"
He holds out his hand to the creature. Cautiously, the baby dragon steps onto his hand. He lifts the dragon up for closer inspection. As far as he knew, Naydra, Dinraal, and Farosh were the only dragons.
"From where do you come from?" the young man asks.
Rather than responding, the little dragon bites the young man's finger. He screams in pain and ends up tossing the baby dragon. The baby dragon whimpers and runs off in fear. The young man groaned n agony, writhing on the ground between the fire and his horse.
"IT BURNS!" he wails.
The horse neighs loudly, rearing up again. The young man continues to cry out until, eventually, he stops. He falls completely still. A wind blows by and extinguished the fire, throwing everything into darkness.
