Chapter 2: Shattering Star.

The Leader and Yusuke stared each other down with Haru and Kia watching from the side, Yusuke was in the lead with 2800 life points to the Leader's 2600. as they stared at each other with each having one monster on their field.

"I finish with three face-downs to end my turn," Yusuke said with Consler Cancer's attack returning to 1500 as the Leader drew a card, and glared at Yusuke.

"First I summon Sickle Dragon in attack mode." The Leader said summoning a large blue scally western dragon with two large claw-like sickles on both it's front legs as a level 4 with 2000 attack and 0 defense, "And I activate it's effect, I can attack you life points directly, but the damage is cut in half." Sickle Dragon launched itself towards Yusuke, sickles pulled back and ready to sink into Yusuke. With a single slash, Yusuke's life points were cut to 1800.

"I play, Fallen Star Road, If I lose over a thousand life points in one attack, I can gain I can..." Yusuke was cut off when his trap began to spark and suddenly explode.

"Oh Sorry, if my Sickle is face up, you can't activate Trap or Spell cards on my turn." The Leader said mockingly looking at a shocked Yusuke as he had his card destroyed and looked as the Leader looked at him, "Now, Ravid Blood Dragon, attack and destroy that crab." Ravid Blood Dragon pulled it's head back and threw it forward, launching a large amount of blood, hitting Consler Cancer, who yelled in pain before melting into the blood. Yusuke flinched when he was hit by it and his life points dropped to 400.

"No, Yusuke!" Haru yelled out in fear with Yusuke painting from the attack.

"I told him he wasn't ready to win." Kia said, clinching his fists and looking at Yusuke stood straight with a smile on his face.

"Not bad, but I'm not done yet." Yusuke drew his card and looked saying, "First I play Shooting Star Garden, this card allows me to banish one Star monster from my graveyard to draw cards equal to it's level, but I need to send my whole hand to my graveyard at the end of my turn." Yusuke smiled as Star-Knight Great Sword popped out of his graveyard and he showed them it, "Since he's level six, I get six new cards." Yusuke drew his cards and looked them over in his hands, smiling wider, "First, I summon Star-Knight Crossbow in attack mode." A knight in shinning armor popped into place with a cross bow in hand, aiming it to the Leader as she was a level 3 Warrior-Type monster with 1200 attack and 1000 defense.

"What good will that card do?" Kia asking, not sure what Yusuke was planning and worried he wasn't thinking straight.

"I think he knows what he's doing." Haru said smiling looking at the duel as Kia looked at her, not saying anything.

"Oh, I can feel the anger from him." The person watching them, looking to the duel with a smirk on their face, "And I think I'll help with these." They lifted their hands and three cards formed in it, before shooting out into he air, "Let's see what they can do with these."

"Now, for Crossbow's effect, if I have no other monsters on my field I can summon a Star-Knight from my deck so long at they are level four or lower." Yusuke said as he looked through his hand, pulling out one and looked at him when lightning cracked over the sky. Both looked up to see lightning strike near Yusuke, blinding him slightly before with neither noticed a piece hitting his duel disk, making it glow for a moment.

"Yusuke!" Haru yelled as lightning struck near her and Kia, both flinching as a piece hit their decks and glowed for the same moment.

"We need to get out of this weather." Kia said looking to the sky, which was covered in clouds and lightning continued to appear around them.

"Forft and I win the bet." The Leader said with a smirk as Kia glared at him, how could he still be thinking like that with the storm starting to rage around them?

"Then I should finish this." Yusuke looked at him and lifted a card, "I summon my Star-Knight Cannon in attack mode." Another warrior was summoned in a bright armor with a large cannon in hand, aiming it towards the Leader as it was a level 3 with 1000 attack and defense points.

"Yusuke, you dumbass." Kia growled to his friend.

"Don't worry, I'm not done." Yusuke said activating another face down, a quick-play spell this time, "This card is Star Reincarnation. it allows me to summon a Star monster so long it's level isn't more then the other monsters on my field combined level, so welcome back my Star-Stallion." Yusuke took the card from the graveyard and placed it on the field, with all three monsters looking ready to attack. "Well, now I Syncro summon..." A bright light shot from Yusuke's duel disk, shocking and blinding him as a card seemingly appear to want to be summoned.A bright light came from both Haru and Kia, shocking them both as Yusuke finally looked at the card, reading it's name, "Shatter Nove Dragon, huh, but..."

"Come on, move it along." The Leader said annoyed at the hold-up and Yusuke stared at the card, confused when he looked back to him and smiled.

"Alright fine, I Syncro summon my level eight Shatter Nova Dragon." Star-Stallion leapt into the sky and turned into two cycles with Crossbow and Cannon jumping into it, turning to stars and forming a straight line, "From the cosmos, I bring my world breaker here to shatter fate and make a path for all." Yusuke said as the bright light formed around his monster and a large dragon burst from it. It glowed bright white with golden scales running from it's head to it's tail, down its arms, and legs with a gold tip and eyes, staring down at the Leader, who looked at the creature in awe. It was a level 8 dragon with 2500 attack, and 2000 defense.

"W-wait." Haru was looking on in shock with Kia matching her, "W-when did he get that monster."

"I'm not sure, b-but something feels off by it." Kia said with the Leader shaking his head, a smirk growing as he looked at Yusuke,

"Well, what are you going to do with a monster that is weaker then mine?" Leader mocked, yet Yusuke didn't and looked straight at him.

"Simple, I activating my monster's effect. For every monster in my graveyard I have, your monster loses 500 attack points and my monster gains them." Yusuke explained.

"Wait, what?" The leader said as Shatter Nova Dragon glowed in bright light, blinding everyone as Ravid Blood Dragon's attack points went down to 900 hundred attack points as Shatter Nova Dragon's attack grew to 4500.

"Now attack." Yusuke said as Shatter Nova Dragon flew towards them with The Leader gulping as he took a moment.

"Not so fast, I activate my False Scales effect from the grave." The Leader said, trying to get his head straight, "I can banish it to take no damage this turn."

"I Play Star Storm.." Yusuke said activating his final face down, "When you activate an effect from the graveyard, I can negate it this turn at the cost of half my life points." Yusuke's life points drop to 200 as sparks came from False Scale before turning to the graveyard, shocking the Leader as he watched Shatter Nova Dragon pull it's head back and launching a large blast of light towards him, hitting the weaken Ravid Blood Dragon and resolved it in line as his lifepoints fell to 0. The gang were shocked seeing their Leader fall down in a huff, looking at the life point counter reading 0 and looked at Yusuke.

"Deals a deal." He slowly stood up and turned, leaving them as the gang followed, silent from the shock of the sudden loss. Yusuke watched them leave and looked to his card, staring at it as he smiled.

"That was AWESOME!" Haru tackled from behind, holding him close as he smiled and hugged her, "Where did you get that monster?"

"Not sure," Yusuke said staring at his card, "I don't remember adding this to my extra deck before the duel, not sure where it came from."

"Well, you should have been more careful." Kia said walking up to the two of them, "It was lucky that it was what you needed to win." Kia looked to the sky, seeing the storm that was still forming, noting how the lightning acted odd with them, "We should head home before it starts raining and Marry finds we're gone."

"Yeah, let's go." Haru said and the trio headed on towards the mansion when the sound of engines echoed through the air, "Shoot, Sector Security is coming."

"Let's go," The trio began to run, eyes out on any searchlight for curfew was up and they would get in major trouble if they were caught as they looked about, seeing lights coming in the distance, moving towards them overhead. "Duck." Yusuke and Haru did as they were told, jumping into hiding spots where the searchlights couldn't see them.

"That was close." Haru said panting, holding her chest as she looked at the rubble that Yusuke and Kia were hiding behind, "You two okay?"

"Yeah, you go on ahead." Kia said looking at where Yusuke was, "We'll take another way, get back home."

"You sure?" Haru popped her head out only to duck it back into hiding as a searchlight flew over them.

"Yeah, go." Yusuke said with Kia looking to him and Haru nodded, heading on with Kia and Yusuke waiting for the chopper to fly overhead again as it headed north, away from them, "Let's go." Yusuke said stepping and then falling, landing hard on the ground. The figure grabbed Yusuke's duel disk and took Shatter Nova Dragon, throwing the rest of the cards onto him before slipping into the shadows. A new search light flew over again and shined a light onto Yusuke.

"Hey, we found someone breaking curfew, need a car." The officer said over the radio with the light on Yusuke, who slowly looked up, his head was killing him and he saw Kia was in hiding. Reaching for his help, the wind from the chopper blew around them and Kia looked at him before bolting, leaving a shock Yusuke as he passed out, alone.

"Well, that was unexpected." They said, having watched the whole thing, "It might be more fun to wait and see what happens." A grin grew on the face as they walked off into the night, not looking back and leaving the scene to play out.
