Pain; that was what Naruto Uzumaki, jinchuriki of Kurama, recipient of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, felt. He didn't know where he was, but he could hear and feel the jungle.
The last thing he remembered was fighting the legendary Madara Uchiha, or at least with his revived body. The elderly rival was a tough nut to crack. Every time he was about to defeat him, Madara would show a new trick and retake the battle.
He remembered the last battle where Madara used the eyes of the Sage of the Six Paths to remake the juubi by capturing the bijuu. Even snatching the fox bijuu from the seal of Naruto's own stomach. This way Madara would achieve an illusion to get everyone under control, making them feel like they were in a world of peace. Naruto had to modify his objective. Now the biggest threat was the juubi. He convinced the alliance of the 5 great shinobi villages to stop the old "Ghost of the Uchiha". Meanwhile, Naruto's final strategy was to focus on the Juubi to stop it. By means of the wise arts Naruto confronted the monstrous 10-tailed beast and returned Kurama along with the other 8 tailed beasts into one, into the Juubi that he sealed into his own body. Naruto would then try to separate the bijuu again to finish off the Juubi. And beyond this, he would seek to set the tailed beasts free, thus avoiding the existence of human receptacles. Thus he would put an end to the jincuriki .
But Naruto lost sight of Madara's real plans. He wanted precisely this to happen, and Naruto took the bait. By sealing the Juubi in his body, Madara would obtain a vessel with the Juubi's power over which he could exert his control with the Sharingan. He would control Naruto's mind. But Madara failed. He could not control the blond's mind. Naruto was in sage mode and could sense the Uchiha's attempt to enter his mind through the genjustu to control him. So, remembering a lesson his godfather taught him on how to break free from a genjutsu; he stopped his own chakra flow and quickly reactivated it by directing a large amount of energy to stun his enemy. Naruto took advantage of the space created and took off at an impressive speed in a straight line in the direction of his fearsome foe.
Madara recovered from the jinchuriki's strong burst of chakra and turned his red eyes towards the blond with the certainty of being able to catch him when he was close enough. Only he didn't take into account the ace up the Uzumaki's sleeve. Naruto halfway had thrown a kunai with his strength enhanced sage mode. When Madara realized that his mind control over the blond jinchuriki wasn't working he could see how the kunai flew towards his front and thanks to his sharingan he was able to dodge it...although in the millisecond he saw the kunai he thought it had a strange shape...but it was too late. When he looked back to see the blond young man, he had disappeared in a yellowish flash while Madara felt the diagonal cut of a katana in his own being. He could not believe it; he had been defeated by an eighteen year old boy. His mind traveled back in time remembering how his younger brother Izuna died at the hands of Tobirama through the Hiraishin no Jutsu and now the young Uzumaki would bring them together again through the same death.
But he did not wish to go alone to meet his brother. With his last vital forces, making use of the kamui, Madara dragged the Uzumaki to another dimension with him. That was his final revenge, he knew he would not survive the journey, but it would still be satisfying, knowing that he would take the blond away from his world and his friends. He watched the portal and smiled as they were both sucked in. He hoped that in this new dimension there would emerge one who would avenge him.
