NEW WORLD
Uzumaki Naruto, chunnin of the Hidden Leaf Village, the orange flash of the Shinobi Alliance and Jinchūriki of Kurama, was lying on his back on some bushes without the majesty that all his names implied. His black jacket with orange was torn and burnt. His mesh net shirt could be seen underneath, his orange pants were torn and part of the fabric was missing on his right leg. His red sage coat with black flames was the only thing that was preserved in good condition. In his left hand he held his father's three-pointed kunai, the dagger that allowed him to get close to the legendary Madara Uchiha. On his forehead his sash with the blade symbol. Near him was the katana that his mother had inherited from him and with which he had slain the infamous Uchiha; but he did not see it. The blond Jinchūriki was unconscious, but inside his mind he was in a discussion that would cause him a great headache.
He was seeing a familiar mindscape even as he felt dazed. Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze stood in front of the Sage of Six Paths, god of ninshu and creator of the shinobi world Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki. Behind the sage were eight of the nine of tailed beasts, happy to have been released from the Juubi and beast number nine was lying behind his partner and friend Naruto Uzumaki. Kurama no longer considered him his jailer.
-Congratulations, young Uzumaki," the Sage's deep, calm voice said, "You succeeded in breaking Indra's reincarnation's hold on my children.
His voice was one of deep joy, though his gaze became sad as he fixed it on the young red-haired boy, who was the transmigration of his own son Asura. After a brief pause, he let out a heavy sigh and continued speaking.
- However, the reincarnation of Indra, Madara Uchiha, as a last act of hatred towards you ripped you from your home.
Naruto could not believe it, he immediately looked for a mortal wound, not finding it he looked to Kurama for some indication of what had happened, but the fox looked equally disoriented by the words of the Sage.
-You are alive, but not in your world. You are in another dimension.
Naruto looked at the Sage with pleading eyes. This one answered.
-I cannot make you return since it was his ocular ability that transported you," said the old man with a certain heaviness.
Naruto understood what the old Hagoromo was saying and lowered his gaze and murmured words of understanding. He spent some more time in silence until he spoke.
- And now... What am I going to do? - he said dejectedly.
The sage gave the boy a sympathetic look. He had just told him that he was no longer in the elemental nations. He remembered what he had felt of the energy of this new world as he had helped the blond separate the juubi back into the nine bijuus. He thought he had sensed that somewhere in this unknown world there was a hidden Shinju fruit.
The Sage turned his mind to distant memories of his Hagoromo past recalling what his mother had done in the distant times. She alerted his brother and him that someday the Ōtsutsuki would come to their planet for the Shinju fruit and without the fruit the planet would be destroyed.
He pondered. Given what had happened, and without the possibility of returning the blond to his world, the best option would be to adapt. He concluded that giving meaning to the boy in this new dimension would be helpful. The truth is that if there was a fruit in this dimension, the world would need a defender and who better to defend this planet than Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze companion of his creature of greater power, Kurama and the transmigration of the soul of his second son, Asura.
He nodded and smiled to himself. He motioned to the boy sitting on watery ground in his mindscape.
-Hey, son, take it easy. You've done a lot and I know I have no right to ask this of you,- he spoke in a soothing voice, getting Naruto's attention and tilting his head slightly.
Clueless, as always, Naruto answered.
-Eh? tell me, old man, what do you need? -asked the blond curiously.
Hagoromo nodded and started to speak when he saw that he had the blond's full attention.
-Pay attention boy, there is a clan called Ōtsutsuki. It travels from world to world planting a special tree, which is responsible for absorbing life energy by expanding its roots to every corner of the planet. The tree grows through the blood spilled from battles over a millennium. Once the process is finished the tree produces a Chakra Fruit with all the energy of that planet. The fruit will one day be harvested-, the man stopped talking to see if Naruto had any doubts. Seeing Nartuto's serious face, he continued speaking. - What do you think happens when the Chakra Fruit is harvested?
-I don't know,- he thought about it for a moment more, -would all the vital energy of the planet be torn out?
- Indeed, and then-,answered the Old Man.
Naruto opened his eyes enormously
-Without the fruit, the planet and everything on it would die.
After a brief pause, the sage continued.
-Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was the matriarch of the Ōtsutsuki Clan... and my mother. She was the one who discovered chakra. She learned to control it and use it. She discovered it by consuming the fruit of the God Tree, the circumstances don't matter at this point. She was able to stop the wars that were in the world; the way Madara wanted to achieve it now. - Hagoromo narrated how Kaguya, his mother, came to his planet, what she did on it and the beginning of his life.
-At some point, Kaguya concluded that members of the clan would come to the planet to steal her Chakra. To avoid this, Kaguya turned the people trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi into White Zetsus, ideal soldiers for her, only with the purpose of fighting the invaders if they came to the planet. - The man became silent and after a few minutes said regretfully.
- Because of her madness, my mother wanted to take back the chakra we had, but we refused and confronted her. So she merged with god tree giving birth to a furious beast, the juubi, who ravaged all the lands in search of our chakra. After an intense battle, we defeated it. My brother and I separated the powerful ten-tailed being from our mother and sealed her. After sealing my mother I had to seal the juubi in myself which made me the first Jinchūriki. -finished speaking the older man waiting for a question or answer from the young blond.
Naruto was stunned by what he had heard, his mind trying to process all the information. After thinking for a long time about what the old Hagoromo had said, a spark was born in his brain and his eyes opened even wider. - You mean to tell me, old man, that Madara's plan was to free your mother?!
The sage nodded in affirmation and somewhat surprised that the blond had figured it out. -Indirectly yes, but you prevented it and for that I thank you. Said the old man bowing.
The blond felt uncomfortable and started rubbing the back of his neck and smiling foolishly.
-Please old man, don't do that, I don't deserve it.
The sage nodded and straightened up smiling to himself at the boy's humility and continued speaking.
-Now young Naruto; I want to entrust you with the mission of finding the fruit of the Shinju of this world so that you can protect it, because if something happens to the fruit, the world will suffer and die. By protecting this world and you will find your own way," he said with a smile.
Naruto's eyes were filled with a burning fire of determination to take care of this new world.
- I'll make him old! I'll take care of this world! and the aliens won't know that I hit them! -he said, slamming his fist into the palm of his hand as the Sage corrected him:
-Interdimensional travelers, Naruto.
Hagoromo smiled and took Naruto's hand and he glowed when he looked at his hand and there was a tattoo of a sun.
-In that case I Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki give you my power because you have shown me that you have an iron faith and the willpower to never give up.
This is the mark of power Sage Mode of the Six Paths one of your new abilities besides the Rinegan.
He paused solemnly.-With this I name you Naruto Usumaki Namikaze Sage of the 6 finished speaking and let go of the young blond's hand.
Naruto began to glow in a layer of golden chakra, his orange pigmentation from the toad sage mode around his eyes had disappeared and his eyes now had a plus symbol instead of the diagonal line of the senin gamma mode.
-I promise that I will never use this power except to defend this world, that is my nindo and Naruto Usumaki never breaks his promises. - He said enthusiastically and with a big smile he extended his fist towards Hagoromo; who bumped fists with the young blond with a smile that rivaled that of the sage turned to his creatures he considered sons and spoke.
- Do you boys want to stay with the boy or do you wish to return to the elemental nations? -. The bijus pondered until Shukaku the one-tailed spoke.
- If we go back, will we return with our jinchurikis or will we be free? - he asked doubtfully.-Whether you want to return with your jinchuriki or be free is not my decision, but yours," said the sage looking at his youngest son.
-Then I want to go back to Gara, I was already starting to like him,- said Shukaku with a crazy he turned his gaze to Naruto and spoke -Thank you for freeing us boy and for that I will give you the memories of the wind jutsus I know-. He finished the one-tailed transferring his memories to the blond's mind.
-I'll be back too, it would be strange not to hear Bee's raps, but I'll leave you the knowledge of saliva ink - said the eight-tailed bull octopus bumping his fist against Naruto's fist.
-I'll stay with Naruto-Kun, who knows what crazy adventures he'll have around here- purred Matatabi the two-tailed cat.
-We'll be back, don't take it badly kid, we like you, but we'd like our freedom again. Although we will leave you the memories I have of the water and steam jutsus we know besides the famous kirigakure no jutu- said both Isobu the three-tailed turtle as well as Kukou the five-tailed dolphin horse and both transferring their memories to the blond.- Isobu, Kukuo, thank you, but it wasn't necessary - said the blond with a wide smile.
There was an outburst of derisive laughter.
-Go back there! To be turned into weapons again no thanks, I'll stay with the only human I Goku the four-tailed monkey king words made all the bijuu reflect. They could be free again and soon after be sealed again to be weapons.
-Old Hagoromo - Naruto spoke somewhat sheepishly.- May I ask you a favor? In the boy's voice there was an infinite sadness.
The Sage nodded, after a moment's meditation, for he suspected what would be said next.
-When you return to the elemental nations, I want you to tell the alliance, the leaders and above all my friends that I succumbed to my injuries after my fight against Madara.
There was a silence in all present. Naruto continued
- And that with my last strength I implore you not to seal a bijuu again and not to be used as weapons again.
Everyone stared at Naruto. For the first time it was evident that the blond understood that he would not return with them to the elemental nations. It was farewell.
-I also want to give you some messages to my friends.-Naruto was realizing that all the effort he made for years so that the people of his village would not see him as the demon child but as one of them, to be accepted and loved, had been lost, or at least, he would no longer see the fruit of that recognition he fought so hard for would no longer be enjoyed. At best he could hope to be remembered.
He sighed and sought the courage he lacked to hide the pain.
Naruto began to list each of the messages to his friends and loved ones to the Sage. As he went through the messages, his voice broke, tears trickled down his cheeks as he spoke and he recalled his past with his friends, the people who had loved him, the ones who had left. What hurt him the most was that he couldn't keep three of his promises. One, to bring Sasuke home; two, to become Hokage; and three, to take care of Hinata at the request of his friend Neji who died trying to save him.
The sage and the bijuu were moved by the sight of the young blond's condition. Naruto had finally fully realized that going back was not a possibility, he realized that for all he had worked for it was gone. But he would not lose himself in despair, hatred and resentment. A voice pulled him out of his thoughts.- Are you all right, puppy?- Matatabi asked, wrapping her two fiery tails around the boy in a motherly wiped away his tears and thanked the two-tailed cat for the gesture.- Would that be all young Naruto? -asked the sage, placing a comforting hand on the young blond's young man only affirmed with a nod of his head.
The remaining bijuu decided to stay with the blond; and now would come the farewells among them; the bijuu gathered, laughed, fought and said goodbye.
-It has been an honor, young Uzumaki, Sage of the Six Paths. This new world is under your protection. I will see to it that your name is remembered in our world. -Hagoromo shook the Naruto's hand, while thinking about everything that had happened in the last hours.
Slowly he faded away along with the bijuu who decided to return; amidst blue flames.
- OI! SHUKAKU! GYUKI! - shouted Naruto with all his being
- Greet and take care of Gara and old Bee for me- he caught a glimpse of their smiles as a last response.
The emptiness filled everything.
A few minutes passed and everything was still spoke
- Kurama, do you think I can get up now? - Kurama looked at the boy for a second and smiled.
-Let's first see where and how you are. And then we will see what new adventures there are in this new world- said Kurama getting a slutty smile from his human friend, while the other bijus gave each other glances worried about their choice to stay with the young blond.
Naruto opened his eyes. Pain, he didn't know where he was, but he could hear and feel the jungle. The sun was shining overhead, through the leaves of the trees. Although it was warm, he felt cold, pain coursed through his body and he felt dazed. He listened carefully to the chirping of birds and the buzzing of insects. He saw his left hand clenched and immediately searched with his gaze for his katana. He saw it just to his right, buried in the damp jungle soil. He breathed a sigh of relief. He slowly sat up. His clothes were in acceptable condition, not complete, but repairable. The green around him was of varying shades, but different from the wooded tones of the Land of Fire. In fact, he noticed that all the colors were less intense. He was standing on some reached out and took his katana by the handle, checked it, cleaned it and sheathed felt dizzy. He could see that he was near some thatched huts, but he heard no voices; noticing that his jacket was in worse condition than he first thought, he put it away in a storage parchment. He sat up and advanced towards the huts. It was a small clearing in the jungle, the surrounding trees he had never seen before. There were four huts in very bad condition, it was obvious that no one had lived in them for a long time. He entered the only one that was still standing, a box with some belongings and some clothes on a cot. He found a pair of black pants among the belongings, which, although a bit big, fit him well. He took them and put them on. His orange pants required composure, so he kept them next to his jacket.
He tied the Konoha sash to his forehead. As he adjusted it he thought of his friends and sadness and helplessness came over him. In this state he walked his gaze around the hut and stopped when he saw the pieces of Madara Uchiha's scarlet armor. He was surprised.
Instinctively he drew his Katana and waited. Nothing stepped out of the hut and surrounded located what he was looking for, some footprints heading towards the decided to go back for the hesitated about what to a moment he thought about leaving it there, but reflected that the armor could protect him from danger. He took off his coat and began to dress in the armor, once finished he put on his coat again and walked along the trail.
A little further on and near where he woke up, he found the bleeding body of the fallen Uchiha. Naruto did not understand why he had shed his armor. Perhaps he was disoriented, and injured the armor weighed or increased the pain. There was no other explanation. What was certain was that Madara had been circling very close to where he had been unconscious. For a moment Naruto thought about fate. If Madara had found him unconscious, he could have finished him off with his own katana. Naruto clenched his fist, breathed in a couple of times and calmed down.
He made a hand signal and two shadow clones appeared.
-Dig a grave and destroy his eyes,- he ordered his clones who looked at him strangely.
- Maybe he was a maniac, bloodthirsty, demented, with a savior complex. But he was once a shinobi who gave everything for his clan and deserves at least a resting place.
- And why the destruction of his eyes? - asked one of the clones.
Naruto answered
-The eyes carry an immense power with which Madara did a lot of damage and escaped can't risk them being used again.- Naruto sentenced.
The clones nodded and went to work while Naruto placed himself in lotus position and meditated to go into sage mode.A few minutes later he felt the nature around him, he searched for Madara's chakra signature and didn't find it. He sighed in relief.
He kept meditating, searching...no human energy...until he sensed a pair of energy signatures running through the forest at the north end of the jungle, disappeared in a shunsin of leaves with a foxy grin. The world was going to be interesting from now on.
