It was making out to be an incredibly boring night Arthur thought as he was sitting at his desk looking through some council papers. He was rescued by a knock at the door. "Enter" Arthur called out.
Sir Leon entered the room with an awkward look on his face "Sorry to trouble you Sire, but-" Leon broke off hesitantly.
"What is it? "Arthur queried.
"Well, you see Sire, it's about Merlin"
Arthur gave Leon a confused look. "What about Merlin?"
Leon cleared his throat before answering "He was spotted sneaking out of the citadel. Past curfew, Sire"
Arthur was a bit bewildered. What could Merlin possibly have to do outside Camelot at this time of night? Arthur stood up, reaching for his cloak and sword "Right come on Sir Leon, go get the usual knights and let's go and find out what this idiot is up to before he gets himself killed out there" .
Leon just smirked "I thought you would say that Sire. Everyone is already outside waiting"

To everyone's' surprise, Merlin's trail was a lot harder to follow than they had anticipated.
Eventually it was Percival who found a trail which led them deep into the woods. About an hour had past when they came across a small clearing, they took cover near the edge. Even in the dark they could tell it was a beautiful place. It was a small meadow covered in wildflowers, bushes and a huge willow tree that dipped gracefully into a small stream. Right next to the willow tree there was a small but rather homely looking hut.
They were just in time to notice Merlin's figure disappear into it.
"What the hell is Merlin doing all the way out here? "Arthur asked as he turned to see similar looks of confusion on the knights faces. Suddenly Gwaine's face lit up and a sly grin spread across it "Maybe he's got a secret lover"
Arthur scoffed "Don't be stupid Gwaine "
"I don't know Sire. What if that's her there?" Elyan pointed to another figure entering the same hut Merlin had disappeared into. It was too dark to make out any defining features of the person. A smile spread across Arthur's face "There is only one way to solve this mystery "Arthur made a step forward "lets get a little closer shall we?"
Gwaine let out a small whoop "Finally I get to learn something about Merlin's love life" to which the knights all just chuckled and rolled their eyes as they made their way to the hut.

Arthur first tried to peak through the windows, but Merlin had pulled all the curtains shut. With no other way of seeing what was happening inside, he ended up putting his ear against the door to see if he could hear anything. It wasn't necessary though as a crash and the feminine groans that followed could clearly be heard by everyone there.
"Sounds like Merlin is making someone very happy in there" Gwaine said whilst exchanging amused glances with the rest of the knights. Arthur however looked like he was ready to be sick.
"Who do you think it could be?" Percival asked.
"Why don't we find out?" Gwaine suggested with a wink as he moved to open the door.
"Wait!" Arthur said through gritted teeth, putting his hand out to stop him "You can't just barge in there, while they're..they're.." Arthur made weird gestures with his hands "well you know"
"It's alright princess, I'm just going to peek. I want to know who this mystery girl is. Plus, I need to see what he's doing to this lady to make her sound like that. I could learn a thing or two here."
"Gwaine!" Both Arthur and Leon said whilst giving him an exasperated look. To this Gwaine just shrugged, shushed them, and slowly parted the door.

Only a few seconds passed and Gwaine shut the door again. Leaning back against it, eyes wide and breathing heavy.
"Well?" questioned Elyan "Who was it?"
Gwaine looked up with a slight terror in his eyes. "Someone I'd never have suspected that's for sure"
"What's that supposed to mean?" Arthur queried, now slightly worried about who this mystery woman was "Who was she?"
Gwaine gulped again and rose his gaze to Arthur "Morgana"
Without thinking twice, Arthur drew his sword and went inside.
