Chapter 12

Yuuji decided to keep a close eye on things for the time being. He didn't realize this other jujutsu on Sukuna, but at the same time, it wasn't that urgent nor was it a concern to him either. He had half a mind not to speak of it, until Kiyoshi pointed out what Yuuji overlooked.

Kiyoshi was right.

Sukuna has a sharp memory and he retains everything he learns, especially if it is something new, a technique that he could possible harness for himself later or a power he has yet to achieve. It still made him feel uneasy about this, however, Kiyoshi appears to be rather happy with the arrangement made.

Ever since he lifted the curse, Sukuna has been trying to get more information out of Kiyoshi on his element.

"I need direction, so tell me, why can't you teach me anything now!"

Kiyoshi sighed to him. "I can teach you a little, but it won't do you any good until Spring!" he protested. "Besides, you are not going to get very far either!"

"Are you underestimating me…" Sukuna was about to snap back, until his demon eyes shifted. It was still creepy to have one set of eyes on his right side stare at you while the left side wonders as it pleases. But he did come to realize something. He turned his attention to the ground. "I can't learn anything since my element is not at its full strength…" he whispered.

"Dad was right, you are smart!" Kiyoshi snickered. "Take into consideration it's winter, not much grows under the snow, the earth go dormant. Which means…"

"You can't extract its power since the element is asleep in a sense…"

"BUT, there is one place you can try… but you need to ask Uncle Sanso first."

Sukuna's eyes shifted over to the fields that continue to grow year round no matter the weather. In fact, from here, it's a lush, green land without a speck of snow on it. "But it won't be much, that energy is reserved is it not?"

Kiyoshi nodded. "But at the same time, it's good to get a start on it, learn what you need to feel from the ground to obtain its power. Someone like you wouldn't waste their time waiting for Spring, right?"

Sukuna glared at him oddly. "You've been raised by a fox, no wonder you are good with your words…" he muttered.

Yuuji… felt a jab to his heart.

That wasn't a lie nor was it an insult directed at him. Sukuna made a very strong point. His son has been raised by a fox guardian more than himself…

"I'm going to the field…" Sukuna said bluntly and wondered off. Kiyoshi wanted to call him back, but he stopped himself.

Suddenly, his focus shifted to Yuuji.

"Say, dad… would you help me train?"

Yuuji smiled and nodded. "Your snow golems are awesome by the way."

"Thanks, actually, Sukuna made a suggestion for me, and I think it would be best if it is tested out to see how long I can hold out for if there was a battle… Would you mind dad?"

"Snowball fight?" he asked with a grin.

Kiyoshi smirked. "More like a snow war… BUT, you are limited like Sukuna, no extra power, just your strength!"

Yuuji smirked as he summoned his four arms. "I hope you are ready for this… but first…" he took out his phone and sent out a text message.

#

Yua's phone went off.

Peering down she saw Yuuji sent a message. 'Snow wars Part 2 taking place in 10 minutes. Kiyoshi Itadori VS Yuuji Itadori'

She smirked. "Looks like Sukuna started something here…" she said offhandedly.

Gojo smirked. "So… has Chusi FINALLY stopped asking about you taking a second husband?"

"For now," she said.

"Ooo another dad, that would be fun!" Rook said.

"YEAH! ANOTHER DAD!" Cheered Mochi.

"Traitors" Gojo muttered.

Shin snickered. "Seriously, she wants you to have a second husband? Why? What's the point? You already got dad!" Shin asked.

Yua shrugged her shoulders. "Apparently, Tooru women were strong enough to have another husband. But I just don't think it's right or fair to your father."

Gojo smirked, but suddenly, that smile dropped a little. "You HAVE been considering it!" he protested.

"NO!" she snapped back. "Look, Suguru has a LOT to make up for in my mind, he's making good progress but still has a ways to go. Besides, I hardly know him."

It was strange for Chusi to say this out of the blue. Yet, Yua has been looking over her family records. She didn't lie about the fact that a Tooru woman could have a second husband, but there were conditions to it. If her first husband was not strong enough to support the family for one… Second, if the family was in danger. Third, if the family bloodline was dying out. Forth, if the Tooru has a strong enough technique and desires another husband, they may do so.

She thinks Chusi is using the third clause of that to push Suguru into marriage.

"If she can try and hook you up with a second husband I should return the favor!" he protested. "See how she likes it…"

Yua on the other hand sighed. Her kids snickered at the notion. "I don't think there is anyone else auntie would want to marry. Not to mention, she has Oji." Said Shin.

"Well, 'OJI' isn't exactly fulfilling HER needs either now isn't he? Wasn't that her reason for all of this?! Claiming I'M not taking care of you!"

Suddenly, Yua and the kids stared at him oddly. "Dad… you don't."

He froze, Rook was as blunt as ever. "What do you mean?!" he protested.

"Mom lost her arms and legs. Honestly, I saw Suguru carry her around more than you did. Oji carried mom around more than you did too. You were too busy trying to prove to auntie that your family weren't traitors to the Tooru clan, when you should have been taking care of mom." Shin announced.

Gojo froze as he turned to Yua.

She nodded in agreement with the kids.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!" he demanded.

Yua froze and stared at him, bewildered. "Satoru… I had NO arms or legs… you think I could have managed just fine without you helping me?" she asked in a sarcastic tone. "Of course, a Tooru can fend for them self right? Should I have to have ASKED you for help?"

Satoru was silent to the question. He sighed and hung his shoulders in defeat.

"I'm going to go watch the snow war…" Gojo said and slumped off.

The kids paused oddly. Shin appeared rather concern. "Does dad usually walk away from his problems?" he whispered to her.

"When it comes to me, yes." Yua said with a sigh. Sometimes she wonders if married life is really for Satoru?

"Well, besides dad being dad… have you really thought about it mom? I mean, my godfather as a second dad would be pretty cool…"

"Uh…"

"By the way, I already know," he said and smirked to her.

Yua was confused. "Already know?"

"My godfather hated humans too, called them monkeys and tried to destroy them. Maki sensei explained it to me, sensei Toji said that he probably triggered that since he was hired by humans to stop him and dad with some sort of star plasma something or other…"

She sighed and nodded. "Yes, it's true" she said.

"He doesn't act like that anymore though, does he?" Mochi asked. "If so, I'll send him some kittens!"

"Mochi we spoke about that…" Yua warned, but she snickered. Mochi will send out kittens if needed and Mochi is aware her kittens are not to be taken lightly… they can destroy a lot in a little time. "Suguru is getting better, at the same time. I haven't seen him change for the better completely. I know he still resents some humans, there is still some hatred for them too. But, what is important is that he is trying. But… there are some thing I cannot over look."

She went silent, but her children stared at her oddly, wanting to know more. "Such as…" Shin asked in a hinting tone.

"When he started to hate humans, his first victims… were his mother and father."

Her children froze.

"He… killed his parents?" Rook asked. "Because they were human?"

She nodded.

"Sorcerers can be born between sorcerers or if a parent is a sorcerer. But there are occasions where a sorcerer is born but curse energy doesn't run in their family. I do believe Todo is an example of that."

"But… why kill his parents? For what?!" Shin demanded.

"To sever his connection to humanity." She explained. "Suguru wanted nothing to do with humans, however he was connected to a human family. Since they did not serve him in his future of this world, he got rid of them. And he intended on doing that to the rest of Japan, purging humans. And no doubt the world." Yua then sighed. "Sometimes people are so desperate for change, they will do whatever it takes to have it."

Her children were silent at first, Rook sighed aloud. "Something tells me that you were quick to crush his dreams?"

"She did," said Shin.

Yua paused. "How did you know that? I was pregnant with you at the time!"

Shin shrugged his shoulders, but snickered. "You did the same to Oji."

"I had warned Suiryu or someone at one point, my sorcerer name could have been the dream crusher. I could point out the flaw in one's idea of a 'perfect world' in a sense only to show them it's a hell they made for themselves. I suppose that would be a curse on the powerful. Become so strong there is nothing to stop you, become so powerful you cannot die… but a sorcerer lives to die a warrior's death. Sukuna would have been screwed had he gone through with his notion."

The kids snickered aloud… just as the ground trembled.

"Ooo snow wars?" Shin asked his siblings.

"SNOW WARS!"

"Make sure you kids bundle up!" Yua ordered. They rushed off to watch the event, however. Yua found herself drawn to the fields since she saw Sukuna merely sitting among the vegetable rows…
