Long ago, during a time that was known as the "War-Torn" Era, the Boiling Isles was in disarray; factions fighting for control. That is until a demon king that went by the name, Thaddius Pariah, rose to power with the help of his 12 knights. They brought order to a war ridden Boiling Isles and brought it under his rule. Some have said that it was his magical prowess and leadership abilities that helped him defeat his enemies but some have argued it was due to a powerful beast known as the Great Leviathan. Some have said that he controlled the beast with the help of a powerful amulet that he received from a being from the stars but nothing was ever truly verified. Once the Boiling Isles was pacified, Thaddius would start conquering other isles and small civilizations; his knights leading every conquest on his behalf. But even as it seemed that the entire Demon Realm would be under his rule he still wanted to rule more lands, new worlds. He began making plans to conquer a place known as the human realm;he saw it as a primitive/ignorant realm that would benefit from being conquered by them.

That would all change when five of his knights betrayed him. They believed it was unnecessary to conquer the human realm and they believed that Thaddius had grown too powerful even with Leviathan by his side. So they made a plan to seal their king away along with his seven remaining knights. During the night under a lunar eclipse, the five traitorous knights used a spell to seal Thaddius and his knights into special pocket dimensions bound by nine different artifacts. Before he was sealed away Thaddius said to his traitorous knights: One day, when the moon is full and shines bright green, my knights will return one day to free me and Leviathan. And when that happens, they will seek vengeance on the Houses of Bloodbane, Snowfeather, Obsidian, Snapdragon and Clawthorne.

After Thaddius was sealed, the knights took it upon themselves to hide the amulet that controlled Leviathan along with the swords that belonged to the sealed knights and King Thaddius in safe places across the demon realm; however, it was rumored that one of the swords and the Leviathan necklace were hidden somewhere in the human realm.

(Present Day)

Somewhere in the cosmos, the Collector just left a red and blue planet. While they were leaving, they were holding strange purple and white plants that had yellow and green striped fruit on it and they were eating one on their way into space. They thought to themselves "This fruit is delicious. I wonder if Luz, King, and the others would like it. Although, I should make sure that it's safe for human, titan, and witch consumption first. What do you think, Francois?" Francois "nodded in agreement.

As they continued to fly away into space, the Collector noticed something strange in the distance, something oddly familiar. They decided to go check it out but did so cautiously. When he arrived, he recognized the star-diamond shaped building as an Archivist Stronghold. Collector clenched their fist and placed Francois behind them. They said "Stay behind me, Francois. I don't think anyone is in there but we have to be careful." The two of them went inside and found no one there. They looked around to see what this facility was used for. At first they thought it was another form of preservation facility of some kind but they found nothing here. However, they came across a giant door and it opened automatically without the Collector having to do anything.

"Hello. Is anyone there?" Collector decided to go in and see who it was. However, they decided to leave Francois inside. "Stay here, Francois." The Collector continued into the room, noticing tubs and slabs all around the room along with a few books scattered. Then suddenly, lights began to shine on a huge orb filled with water and a creature with glowing green eyes.

The creature said "You're not my Archivists."

The Collector said with a disinterested tone "The Archivists are all gone.".

"I see."

"Look, if they trapped you here and took you away from your home I return you there. Provided that you're not going to hurt anyone."

"Return me home? But I'm already home. My body is already home and it will be released soon."

"Where is your body?"

Leviathan told the Collector where his body is and what he's planning to do once he was set free. This horrified the Collector, causing them to run out of the room and lock the door behind them with their magic. They grabbed Francois and left the facility. They looked at Francois and said "Yep, we're going back to the Boiling Isles. We have to find Luz, King, and the others so we can warn them. Let's just hope we're not too late."

(Boiling Isles)

In the library of the University of Wild Magic, Luz is studying a book titled "The Boiling Isle's Greatest Bards of All Time" as part of a required reading list for one of her classes; Raine also recommended that Luz read this beforehand too since they took inspiration from it when choosing what instrument they used for their magic. She's currently reading about a demon bard by the name of Ludwig Von Bloodbane, who was famous for his fusion of the flute and piano spells that tamed giraffes.

"I wonder how Ludwig would react to modern giraffes if he ever came to the human realm. He'd be in for a surprise. What do you think, Stringbean?" Stringbean merely hissed as Luz scratched her head.

Before Luz could continue reading, someone placed their hands in front of her eyes and said "Guess who."

"Amity. I thought you were still at the palm investigating the ruins." Luz said after Amity took her hands off her eyes. She then got up to give her girlfriend a kiss.

Amity explained "I just got back. While the expedition team is still there, I decided to come back early to see you before the Flyer Derby Tournament began. And Lilith needed my help with examining two ancient swords."

"Ancient swords?" Luz said with a somewhat surprised tone.

Amity then showed her a picture of the swords; they had green hilts with a closed eye, a silver-metal blade, and a strange creature on the blade as well. She then said "Yeah, they were found a few weeks ago. At first we thought they might be swords from the Deadwardian Era but Liilith thinks they're much older than that."

Luz said "Sounds cool. When you two start examining them, could I take a look?"

"Sure. But for now." Amity said before pulling out a picnic basket.

"Sunset Date?"

"Sunset Date."

Luz packed all of her things and left the library with Amity; they flew away together on their palismens, Stringbean and Ghost. Unbeknownst to them, they are being watched from a distance by Adrian Grey, Vitimire, Odalia, and Bill.
