hinata pov
the war had just finished and i was at neji's grave.
there was an ache in my heart i missed him so much "why couldn't i have died..."
i gasped as i realised that i had said that aloud.. and sakura was behind me.
"HINATA DONT YOU EVER SAY THAT!" she said as a tear formed in her eye.
my mental health had been a state ever since neji died. i missed him... he protected me from everything ...now he won't be here anymore
" b-but sakura he means so much to me!" i said
" hinata don't worry he still has a place in our hearts!"
a few months later~
sakura helped me get through my grief and because of that i was more happy! i hadn't forgotten about him he was just always with me in my heart!
my thoughts we disrupted when a blonde haired man bumped into me.
it was naruto! i was still in love on him so i would always play with my fingers around but now he was a hero everyone had formed a crush on him.
" hinata!! just the person i wanted to see! i was looking for you ya know!"
he wanted to see me! and he was looking for me!!
i turned red
" a-ano naruto-kun i-is there anything you w-wanted?"
i asked as i looked down playing with my fingers
" yeah actually granny tsunade wanted us to meet at her office. c'mon let's go!" he said as he held my hand
(a/n: i can't remember if she was the hokage in shippuden but who really cares lol)
a mission..so if i wasn't for that... he wouldn't have even come to me...
"o-oh ok" i said avoiding eye contact
we had arrived at tsunade's office
"aa hinata, naruto you've arrived" she said
"well i wanted to tell you that you naruto,sasuke,sakura,shikamaru,kiba,ino and lee has been set up a mission"
"your mission starts in a week you can all take your leave" she said
when everyone had left i returned to her office
"ano hokage-sama w-why do i have t-to have to come?"i asked feeling slight fear thinking she was gonna shout at me
" well hinata, your father had asked me to put you on a mission just because you haven't been on one since the war"
"oh ok hokage-sama" i said
" a letter will be sent to your home to inform on the mission and the where abouts bye hinata!"
"bye!" i said back
an hour later~
i had arrived home and the letter had been sent!
i read the contents of the letter it says:
dear hinata hyuga
this is the letter to inform you of you mission next week. someone in the hidden sky village has been abducting girls age 16 (your age hinata) that's why we need you to make friends with the abductor to see if he try's something.he also takes the byakugan so you are our best candidate.i have explained this to the others.

"HINATA ITS FOR YOU!!" hanabi called

i took one look at who was at the door... it was naruto!

"hi n-naruto-kun"
"hey hinata" sasuke said to me smirking
"hi sasuke"i said normally
after i said that he looked like he expected something i just looked at him cluelessly with my head tilted.
sasuke pov
damn she wasn't my fangirl. now i owe lee 1000 yen (which is basically 10 dollars)
"u-uh bye hinata" naruto said as he shut the door from outside
"b-bye nar-"
"bro what did i say she's not one of your fangirls" that naruto dobe said
"well you never know-"
" ya know what,let's make a bet."
" i'll make her fall in love with me by the end of our mission"
