"If I can't protect this one little girl in front of me... then how can I call myself a hero that can protect everyone!"

The resounding echo of those words refused to fade, even weeks after the successful rescue of Eri. The intense battle replayed relentlessly in Izuku's mind, each potential misstep etching itself deeper. While Eri's safety was a victory, the cost of their mission weighed heavily on his heart.

Mirio Togata, once known as Lemillion, now stood, quirkless but not complete vulnerable. The loss of Mirio's powers struck Izuku deeply, reinforcing the image he held of his idol and friend—the young hero who seemed destined to inherit All Might's legacy... he was a hero, even without powers. A sense of responsibility gnawed at him, as if he had failed in some way.

However, it was the sacrifice of Sir Nighteye that haunted him the most. Nighteye had valiantly fought against the merciless Overhaul, sustaining fatal wounds while protecting Eri. The mentor Izuku admired had paid the ultimate price, impaled multiple times in a desperate attempt to ensure the young girl's safety. The weight of guilt pressed upon Izuku's shoulders as he wondered if he could have acted faster, prevented Mirio's loss, and saved Nighteye's life. Perhaps these thoughts were born out of self-deception, a means to shoulder the blame, yet he found solace in knowing that Eri was now safe from harm.

Eri had recently found refuge under the care of Mr. Aizawa, a decision Izuku wholeheartedly supported. Aizawa's stern but fair demeanour and ability to nullify quirks made him the perfect guardian for the fragile girl. Izuku felt a sense of relief, knowing she was in capable hands.

Sighing deeply, Izuku closed his personal journal, distinct from the notebooks dedicated to quirk analysis. He rose from his desk, glancing at the clock. It read 8:45 am, leaving him with just fifteen minutes before the start of class. He hurriedly left his All Might-themed bedroom, his admiration for the symbol of peace unabated, though he had to reassure himself that his enthusiasm didn't border on obsession. (It wasn't an obsession... he didn't have a problem!)

Passing through the now-quiet common room, Izuku couldn't help but reflect on the whirlwind of recent events at UA. From the chaotic forest training camp and the intense license exams to the life-or-death battle against Overhaul and the exhilarating school festival, his life had been anything but ordinary. The encounter with the Gentle Criminal further added to the string of extraordinary events. Yet, amidst the chaos, he longed for a return to some semblance of normalcy, to the routine of everyday student life at UA Academy.

Reaching the entrance of Classroom 1-A, Izuku took a moment to steady himself. Nervousness still lingered, despite the bonds he shared with his classmates. He inhaled deeply, reminding himself that they were his friends—his allies in the pursuit of becoming heroes. And then there was Katsuki Bakugo, or "Kacchan" as Izuku fondly referred to him, though their relationship remained a complex mix of friendship and rivalry.

As Izuku prepared to enter the classroom, the school's intercom crackled to life, interrupting his plans. "Attention all students, Izuku Midoriya is requested to report immediately to Principal Nezu's office. I repeat, Izuku Midoriya, please proceed to Principal Nezu's office. Thank you." The announcement shattered his hopes for a normal day, injecting an air of uncertainty into the morning.

With a heavy sigh, Izuku released the doorknob, reluctantly accepting the change of plans. He couldn't help but wonder what awaited him in Principal Nezu's office, knowing that his day was about to take an unexpected turn.

Hiking up the stairs to Nezu's office took another painful 20 minutes, leaving Izuku to wonder why an elevator hadn't been installed... well, a student one at least. Finally reaching the designated floor, he approached the office door with hands shaking nervously. Countless thoughts raced through his mind, making it difficult to focus.

"Come on, Izuku!" he mentally urged himself. "You've faced villains, saved lives, and endured extreme losses. Dealing with trouble at school should be a breeze. Stay focused!"

With a shaky breath, Izuku slid open the door to Nezu's office, his heart skipping a beat when he found the dog, mouse, bear seated behind the desk, sipping tea with poise. Nezu, wearing a gentle smile, looked up at Izuku, motioning for him to enter.

"Greetings, Mr. Midoriya. I hope I haven't inconvenienced you. Please, do come in and take a seat," Nezu said politely, gesturing toward a chair in front of his desk.

Eager to display proper manners, Izuku promptly settled into the offered seat, his palms growing clammy and his hands and feet twitching nervously. Nezu, ever perceptive, let out a soft chuckle upon noticing his unease.

"Please relax, Mr. Midoriya. You're not in any trouble—at least not from me or UA," Nezu reassured him with a composed tone.

Izuku released a trembling breath he hadn't realized he had been holding, offering a nervous smile to the Chimera principal.

"Now, concerning the purpose of your visit, it is connected to your recent altercation with Kai Chisaki," Nezu continued, taking another sip of his tea. "Your confrontation garnered significant attention. If word of mouth wasn't sufficient, the visual documentation certainly fuelled its spread."

Nezu produced a small tablet device, passing it over to Izuku. The young hero's eyes widened as he focused on the screen, captivated by the scene displayed before him.

There he was, fighting in a fierce aerial battle with Overhaul above the villain's hideout, Eri securely fastened to his back as they soared through the sky. The sight was like images of legendary superheroes pulled from the pages of a comic book. From this alternative perspective, Izuku had to admit that he appeared remarkably cool...

However, his gaze soon fell upon the view count: 142 million. His hands shook even more violently than before. Had the entire world truly witnessed his 100% usage of One for All? Izuku's gaze flickered back to Nezu, who maintained a contemplative expression. The dog, mouse, bear's features scrutinized him intently.

"S-So, the entire world has seen my fight with Overhaul?" Izuku asked in a meek voice, his body trembling.

Nezu nodded solemnly, maintaining an unwavering gaze. "Indeed, the global audience has now witnessed your capabilities first-hand. They have beheld your acts of heroism, your indomitable spirit," he affirmed with a composed demeanour.

Nezu gracefully descended from the desk, stepping closer to Izuku. "Certain individuals have already begun referring to you as the next 'All Might,' a beacon of hope for future generations," Nezu remarked, glancing up at the visibly overwhelmed teenager. "I comprehend that this sudden recognition may be overwhelming for you, and regrettably, it is unlikely to diminish anytime soon."

Nezu proceeded toward the double doors leading out of his office. "Mr. Midoriya, I do believe there are individuals present who are eager to engage in conversation with you," Nezu announced, swinging open the doors.

Izuku's attention shifted toward the doorway, his curiosity piqued by Nezu's enigmatic statement. And then, his jaw dropped open, his eyes widening in disbelief. Standing before him, radiating in his awe-inspiring presence, was one of the world's Mightiest Heroes—the Invincible Iron Man.

Tony Stark, adorned in his iconic red and gold Iron Man MK 42 suit, crouched down to Izuku's eye level, his luminous eyes locking with the young hero's. "So, you must be Izuku Midoriya," he remarked, his tone laced with genuine curiosity. "We've heard quite a buzz about you kid... I think its time we have a little chat..."

This idea actually came to me while playing Spider-Man Remastered... I have no idea why or how, but it just kind of did.

The basic story here is a what if scenario... what if Izuku actually got more credit for taking down Overhaul? What if Izuku was approached by say, a powerful pro heroes or heroes, in this case the Avengers? And most importantly, what would happen if Izuku and a few others were given the chance to be proper heroes... to go out on the field and protect people?

That is what this story aims to explore... of course, this is a crossover... and while the Avengers are the starting point, this is primarily a Spidey story... not to say other Marvel characters won't appear, just that it will mostly be Spider-Man characters the young heroes interact with... and trust me, I had to dive deep to find some of these characters and plot lines... things are going to get interesting...

Now onto something more... pressing. That being where have I been? Why have I not been updating my stories? Well, simply put, life got in the way... I've been busy with projects, education, finding a source of income, even if it's just a small amount. I have wanted nothing more than to just sit down and write... it's ridiculous how many unnamed documents I have, just with story ideas or concepts in them... last time I check, it was about 147... maybe more... that's about one a day, maybe 2.

I have dyslexia and autism, so writing is not my strong suit... I really struggle with writing at all, so doing these stories is something I have to be fully committed to... if I'm not its very likely I will just leave and forget about it. However, I am happy to say that this story... I am sticking with it... at least until Marvel's Spider-man 2 comes out... then I will look at it again and decide if I want to continue.

Seeing the notifications pop up, showing that people are still reading my stuff now has been a major motivation to come back and do this, so I hope you all stick around, because I'm in this for the long haul... thanks, Alpha the Demon...
