After moments of silence around the dock, Calyrex finally broke the quietness and took over Flare again, "If fate says so, then so it shall be." Anyone, human or Pokemon, could indicate that Calyrex was serious. "From here on, I shall become the king of all Pokemon instead of simply the Galar land. King of Kalos, your decision currently affects my kind, hence it shall be war." Calyrex turned away and walked into the nearby forest. "I could simply kill you right here, but I need to show you the rage and fear of my kind before I take the honour. Return to your land and be prepared."

As expected, Calyrex declared war on Kalos. The humans returned to Kalos and announced what happened in Galar to their citizens. Kalos needed as many humans and Pokemon as they could have for the war, so Ethan asked his royal advisors for a way to achieve that, "My majesty, I have an idea. We could start a campaign to recruit fighters, correctly using propaganda will bring success. If we can have Floette as a role model to help fight in the war, this could be a selling point along with other strategies! But we must keep morale as positive as possible by covering the all sacrifices..."

"Allowing Floette to fight in the war? Lying to my people? I could never!" Ethan responded furiously.

Flare saw an opportunity, "Brother, having Floette in the battle will attract many followers to join in, and remember, we are not lying to our people, but simply ignore the negative ideas." Even though Ethan doubted the idea several times, due to his trust in Flare, he was forced to start the campaign and send Floette to war.

In Galar, how the army was formed was different. Calyrex used conscriptions, no matter whether it was collecting resources or healing Pokemon, everyone was expected to have a role in the war. "Remember, ally or enemy, all Pokemon shall be healed at the end of each battle. None of our kind deserves to be harmed permanently.Unless... they are already gone at the end of it." Calyrex told a large number of Pokemon crowded for its speech. It is said that Calyrex will not show mercy to those who are in their path but will always heal them after a battle, but not even this powerful Pokemon can bring others back from the dead.

Later that day, Calyrex went to "the Giant's Bed". It located 4 boulders that were placed in a pattern of the vertices of a square, in the middle, there was a Pokemon den. It hopped into the den and landed on a rocky surface. There stood a white giant wearing yellow armour with grass growing on its legs and shoulders. It spoke to Calyrex, "It has been a while." The creature turned its tremendous body.

Calyrex looked into its face, "Yes, Regigigas. I need a favour. "

"My years of fighting and crafting are over. I am useless." Regigigas swung its hands, informing Calyrex to leave itself alone.

"I am at war with humans, the same species that sealed you away." Calyrex stepped forward with all its might as it spoke with anger, "They are having Pokemon with them and I will never allow that. I need to free them all." The King of Galar went down to its knees, "You joining in the fight will surely help a lot!"

Regigigas seemed to be convinced but it didn't want to fight, as if it was carrying some sort of burden. "...Back then, I built 5 weapons. Although the fifth was incomplete, it is, still, very strong. Along with me, they were sealed away in temples across galar." Regigigas backed off going deeper into the den. "Perhaps they will finally come into use..."

"Thank you, Regigigas, I owe you one." Calyrex stared at Regigigas as it disappeared into the heavy fog.

Day 1

Pokemon from the 2 sides were all gaining land for their country. But with every battle Galar won, they still healed their living opponents from scars, which gave a massive disadvantage to their side as they were simply giving those Pokemon a second chance. Revives were not discovered in this period and no Pokemon in the war could revive a living creature from death, this meant that once their health hit 0, they are gone. When the sun was going down, Kalos already gained the whole sea between the two regions. But that was when something unexpected happened. It was a betrayal. Flare busted into Ethan's throne along with about a thousand people outside the palace.

Ethan was out of words, he fell into a world of confusion before finally understanding the inevitable ending between the bond with Flare. He could have never imagined his beloved brother betraying him at the worst possible moment. Not until he has seen it, that is, "Flare... Why? You were my beloved brother... Why!" He screamed at Flare, before bursting into tears.

"Why? Answer's simple. I love power, and you can't provide me with it. I am simply taking out the trash." Flare grinned.

Although his mind was full of questions, he knew that if he stayed they would probably lock him up, so he gave Flare a death stare and walked towards the crowd, but it was at this moment that Flare took a scarlet-red box out and handed it to Ethan. It contained the lifeless body of a Floette, but not just any Floette, it was Ethan's Floette. "Before you leave, take this. Heard it was a fighter, but unfortunately, it was gone because of a flamethrower at the first hour."

Ethan was broken. How could anyone handle the death of his closest friend and the betrayal of his family at the same time? He dropped onto his knees in the middle of everyone and screamed in tears. He had taken the focus of the entire crowd. Flare whispered to one of the guards, then said to Ethan, "It is time you go, brother." The guards escorted him out of the palace, AZ gave one last look at his old home and walked towards the dusk.
