Chapter 01 Episode 02 The nameless princess in the ruin
Sensei was swamped with work as usual, juggling multiple responsibilities that often proved overwhelming. Despite his frequent complaints, he diligently handled each task, ensuring they were completed on time to the best of his abilities.
Amidst the busy atmosphere, Arona's voice called out from the Shittim Chest, alerting Sensei to two incoming messages. He nodded, instructing Arona to read them aloud.
"The first message is from the automated security in the ruins," Arona announced, her voice echoing in the room. "It reports that someone has entered the ruins near Millennium once again."
Sensei immediately inquired if the intruder was from the Game Development Club. Arona confirmed his suspicion, adding that the Vice President of the Seminar was also among them.
Prompted by this information, Sensei rose from his desk and walked to a nearby rack where a document titled "Desire Grand Prix" was stored. It contained a list of various locations and assets.
Curiosity piqued, Sensei requested the details of the second message, suspecting it to be a warning from the Gehenna Detention Center.
"Yes, how did you know?" Arona asked curiously.
"Because the Vice President of the Seminar has finally defied my orders," Sensei replied calmly, a smile curling on his lips. This turn of events was precisely what he had anticipated.
Sensei instructed Arona to send a message to Himari, realizing that he needed to get involved in the unfolding situation.
The building the trio had entered had an uncanny resemblance to a spaceship corridor. The walls were not only made of bricks but also featured steel panels, creating a unique atmosphere. Looking outside, they noticed that the nearby robots had retreated after witnessing the destruction caused by Itsuki.
"What is that?" Momoi exclaimed with enthusiasm, her eyes sparkling. "A secret item from a boss battle?"
Itsuki removed the muzzle-less gun from its holder and took off the belt, catching Momoi's attention.
"You could say that," Itsuki nodded, showing off the belt buckle. "This is the Desire Driver, and this one is the Bullet Raise Buckle." He stored them back inside his jacket. "I have one more that I didn't use," He pulled out a smaller Raise Buckle who had claw on it. Itsuki then continued, "I found these during a little treasure hunt with Yuzu. It's my first time using them, but Sensei assured me they're safe... Oh, I forgot that he forbade me from using them."
"By Sensei, you mean... Sensei of SCHALE?" Midori asked, her curiosity piqued. "You've met him? What kind of person is he?"
"Uh... yeah, Yuuka and Yuzu have also met him. Apparently, he knows whenever I intrude into places like this," Itsuki confirmed. "He's a nice guy, though his appearance can be a bit unreliable. He give me a warning when the first time I come here but let me keep the treasures," Itsuki chuckled at the memories. "I hope he doesn't find out I used this." Itsuki let out a sigh. "Oh, and he doesn't have a halo like us. Sometimes, students even act as his escorts when he moves around."
"Whoa, I thought Sensei was a boss character," Momoi commented, her eyes wide with surprise. "Where did you find all this?"
"It's right here," Itsuki smiled.
"If you knew about this building, why didn't you say so?" Momoi playfully punched Itsuki's shoulder, her voice laced with mock indignation.
"I didn't know your destination was this building," Itsuki admitted.
Their conversation was abruptly interrupted by a voice echoing throughout the building, catching their attention.
"Approach confirmed," the voice resounded.
"Eh, what... what is that?" Momoi asked, scanning the surroundings for the source of the echoing voice.
"It sounds like the voice is coming from all around the room," Midori added, a hint of bewilderment in her voice.
"Confirming the target's identity. Saiba Momoi. Unqualified," the voice declared mechanically.
"Eh...? How does it know my name?" Momoi's voice trembled with fear as she looked around the room.
"Confirming the target's identity. Saiba Midori. Unqualified," the voice stated once again.
"It knows me too..." Midori sounded more perplexed than frightened.
"Confirming the target's identity. Fuwa Itsuki. ID Core's Presence confirmed. Kamen Rider Vulcan..." The voice paused, then continued, "Qualification confirmed. Access granted."
Suddenly, the room was illuminated, revealing a pathway leading deeper into the building. The trio could sense the voices guiding them further.
"The mysterious voice knows you, Fuwa?" Momoi asked, her voice filled with wonder.
"What is ID Core, and what is Kamen Rider?" Midori's curiosity was piqued.
Itsuki let out a sigh and retrieved the Desire Driver. "This is the ID Core," he explained, pointing to a small circular pin at the center of the Desire Driver, adorned with a blue wolf-shaped mask. "As for what Kamen Rider is..."
"Sensei, what is Kamen Rider?" Arona asked, her voice resonating from inside the Shittim Chest. The artificial intelligence had been busy absorbing information about Desire Grand Prix but couldn't find any details about Kamen Rider.
Sensei chuckled as he stood up, ready to enlighten the AI program. "Kamen Rider is a superhero, a masked rider who fights for justice and freedom," he explained.
"Much like yourself, Sensei," Arona added.
"I've never worn a mask or engaged in battles," Sensei responded, clarifying the distinction. "But we share the same core principles: justice and freedom."
Curiosity sparked within Arona as she connected the dots. "How does this relate to Desire Grand Prix? There's no explanation as to why they use these terms for their participants."
"Kamen Rider exists across time and space," Sensei began to unravel the connection. "They are a constant presence when evil takes hold. The organizers of Desire Grand Prix witnessed their battles and wanted to have their own Kamen Rider. They believed that like those Kamen Rider, our lives become more interesting with struggles and despair."
"That's why they chose to host Desire Grand Prix here?" Arona sought confirmation.
Sensei nodded. "Yes, exactly. That girl managed to thwart their plans, but they left behind a few remnants, like that belt. If someone were to transform using it, there's no doubt Desire Grand Prix would resume in the near future."
"That's why you want me to gather as much information as possible about them, right, Sensei?" Arona deduced.
"You're correct, Arona-chan," Sensei confirmed, a gentle smile gracing his face.
The trio stood in awe as the door opened before them, leading deeper into the building and underground. Despite the LED lights illuminating their path, Itsuki, Momoi, and Midori couldn't see the bottom of the stairs.
"Do you think the is down there?" Itsuki asked.
"Secret room! Secret boss! Secret treasure!" Momoi exclaimed excitedly. "We should enter, no matter what battle awaits us! We'll obtain the treasures we desire!"
As Momoi approached the staircase, she failed to notice a small puddle of water on the top step. Unaware of the impending danger, she took her first step and lost her balance, hurtling downwards.
Instinctively, Momoi reached out for Midori's arm, hoping to steady herself. Unfortunately, this caused Midori to lose her balance as well. In a chain reaction, Midori tugged on Itsuki's arm, leading to a chaotic entanglement of falling bodies.
They descended the stairs in a flurry of flailing limbs, their cries echoing as they collided with each other along the way. Their descent was swift.
Finally, they reached the bottom floor, finding themselves sitting atop a bewildered Itsuki, their combined weight pressing down on him.
For a moment, they sat there, too stunned to comprehend what had just occurred.
"Girls, can you get off me?" Itsuki asked, his voice muffled as he lay face down with Momoi on top of him. Meanwhile, Midori found herself miraculously seated on Itsuki's head.
"Whoa!" Midori was the first to react, quickly standing up.
"Are you okay, Fuwa?" Momoi inquired.
"I really thought I was a goner there," Itsuki replied as he stood up.
"Uh... I'm sorry I sat on you, Itsuki," Midori apologized.
"Oh, don't worry about it," Itsuki reassured her with a smile. "Your butt was so soft, it was an honor," he joked.
Midori blushed with embarrassment, and her elder sister playfully punched Itsuki's shoulder.
"That's sexual harassment, you know!" Momoi scolded.
"Sorry, sorry!" Itsuki apologized. "Anyway, are you two okay?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.
"Of course, we're not that fragile!" Momoi replied confidently.
"I'm fine too," Midori nodded. "And how about you?"
"I'm just glad you two are safe," Itsuki replied. "You know what they say, make the best of a bad situation, right?"
Midori blushed again, averting her gaze. It was then that she noticed something in the room.
"Onee-chan, Itsuki, look..." Midori pointed.
Their attention immediately shifted to where Midori was pointing. In the center of the room stood a dominating circular pedestal.
Resting upon the pedestal was an iron chair, with wires and cables snaking their way from various points, creating an intricate web of connections. The chair had a sleek design reminiscent of something from a futuristic science fiction movie.
A soft, white light emanated from above, casting an ethereal glow upon the girl seated in the chair. She lay there seemingly unconscious, her absurdly long, black hair cascading down to the floor like a dark waterfall.
The trio approached the girl, but when Itsuki noticed that the mysterious girl was naked, he quickly turned around.
"A girl?" Momoi gently touched her cheek.
"It's like she's sleeping," Midori observed.
"She's not a corpse, right?" Itsuki asked.
"No, she doesn't seem like a corpse. More like... not powered on," Midori examined the unconscious girl.
"Now that you mention it, she does kind of look like a doll," Momoi agreed. "Let's see... why did you turn around, Fuwa?" Momoi teased. "I thought you would enjoy this situation."
"I'm trying to be a gentleman here!" Itsuki protested.
"After feeling up Midori's butt earlier?" Momoi playfully pointed out.
"Onee-chan!" Midori complained. "Anyway, wait a bit, Itsuki." Midori then pulled out clothes from her bag.
"Whoa, you even brought spare clothes... wait, those are my panties!" Momoi exclaimed, pointing at the clothes her twins had taken out.
"No! They're mine!" Midori defended. "The face on the cat is different! And why are you making me say that in front of Itsuki?" Midori playfully punched her twin before approaching the sleeping girl.
Itsuki heard rustling behind him. When Midori finally called out to him, he turned around and saw the mysterious girl wearing the uniform of Millennium Science Academy.
"Look, there's something written here," Itsuki pointed at the armrest of the chair. "AL-15...?" Itsuki approached the chair and accidentally touched the girl's arm.
Suddenly, the mysterious girl opened her eyes, and a blue rectangle halo appeared above her head.
"Change in condition detected. Target contact with permission confirmed. Releasing sleep state."
"She... woke up!" Midori exclaimed as the mysterious girl gazed at the trio.
"Attempting conversation... May I ask for an explanation?" she asked.
"We're the ones who want an explanation!" Midori replied. "Who are you? And what is this place?"
"Midori, calm down," Itsuki reassured her, patting her shoulder. "Anyway, can you answer her questions?" Itsuki asked the mysterious girl.
"It has been confirmed that the ego, memory, and objective of this unit are lost. No data found."
"Amnesia, huh?" Momoi commented. "It's amazing to think that there are numerous robot citizens around Kivotos, but this is the first time I've seen one so similar to us."
"What should we do, Itsuki?" Midori asked.
"Can you tell us what 'Target contact with permission' means?" Itsuki inquired once again.
"Answer not found. It's possible that an initial response occurred deep within the unconsciousness of this system," the mysterious girl responded.
"A factory basement, a nearly naked girl, and amnesia on top of it," Momoi closed her eyes and nodded with enthusiasm. "This is really a good game plot."
The trio decided to bring the mysterious girl back to their club room.
"Hey, wait a minute!" It was an hour later when the group reached their club room that Midori finally realized something. "Why did we bring her to the club room?"
The younger twin found herself currently strangling her older twin in a moment of panic.
"Uh... I can't breathe!" Momoi coughed, attempting to escape her younger twin's grasp.
"Calm down, Midori. It's not like we could just leave her there with all those scary robots around," Itsuki intervened, trying to soothe the younger twin.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of someone chewing something.
The trio turned their attention to the mysterious girl they had brought with them, who was now attempting to eat their Wii remote.
"Wait! Don't chew on my Wii remote! Spit it out! Spit it out!" Momoi pleaded.
"Yeah, we definitely can't leave her by herself," Itsuki agreed, looking at Midori, who was currently nursing her hand after being bitten by the mysterious girl.
"Should we contact the General Student Council?" Itsuki pondered.
"Not yet. This is a chance, you know!" Momoi exclaimed enthusiastically.
"What do you mean?" Midori, who had managed to distract the mysterious girl by giving her a piece of bread, asked curiously.
"For starters, she needs a name. Let's call her 'Arisu'," Momoi declared.
"The name of this unit, 'Arisu.' Please confirm," the mysterious girl suddenly spoke.
"Wait a second! Her actual name should be AL-15, right?" Midori complained.
"It's too hard to say like that," Momoi replied.
"Do you like that name?" Itsuki asked the girl.
The girl remained silent for a moment before her face lit up and she nodded. "Affirmative. This unit's name is Arisu."
"It looks like she likes it," Midori sighed.
"Now, onto the next step," Momoi continued. "One of the two conditions that the Seminar gave us is..." Momoi prompted, expecting an answer from her companions.
"Winning the Millennium Prize..." Midori replied.
"...And...?" Momoi looked at Itsuki, waiting for his response.
"So... you want to make Arisu our new member?"
"Ting tong!" Momoi confirmed cheerfully. The elder twin then looked at the now-named Arisu and asked, "O Hero, would you become our companion?"
However, Arisu was currently preoccupied with eating a game console, paying no attention to Midori's panic. Midori quickly leaped to the rescue, attempting to save her beloved Game Girls Advance SP.
"Midori," Itsuki finally spoke up. "I think that's the best idea for now. I'll take care of the administrative side. You should at least teach her how to talk like a normal girl."
"You're right," Midori sighed. "I'll try. Thanks for the help, Itsuki."
As Itsuki left the room, Midori glanced back at her older twin, who was currently entangled with their newest member. Deep down, Midori felt a sense of joy that the club had gained another member.
