"we've assumed orbit of Andoria prime. Their command says welcome" Vanessa said leaning into her chair
"Great. Reach out and get ahold of Xall tell him we are standing by to beam him and his wife aboard. I got word back from Bajor they're reviewing my application and expect a decision in a day. They seemed surprised we're piloting a former starfleet vessel but with the Miranda's range and cargo capacity they didn't seem to be against it. I told them we are open to any and all contracts including those into the gamma quadrant which was a plus for them after this war lot of cargo Captain's are still hesitant to go over there even with the peace treaty in place... " Tadashi continued
"You think we got time to visit the surface? I ain't been home in a while ya know be nice to see my sister for a while she's been dying to see you as well calls you her favorite brother" Thrall teased "yeah yeah I think we could use a little relaxation.. what you say V? " He asked
"Nah I'll stay here someone's gotta watch the ship I don't trust Zach at all he's just giving me alot of bad vibes" she answered. "Valid I get the same feeling but he's trying at least and unless we catch him stealing , purposely breaking shit or anything like that I'm gonna keep him till we see how Xall works out" Tadashi answered heading for the turbolift. "Sato you wanna come along ?" He asked "I think I'm ok.. I'm just gonna go to my room and relax" The younger of the Ito answered, this gave Tadashi a puzzling look but he pushed past it and stepped into the lift with thrall
"He's gonna get through it he's strong like you" thrall said reassuring Tadashi. "I know I just worry... I kinda wish he'd spent more time with our mother on Earth he seemed to brighten up .. we would have come back for him when he was ready" Tadashi let out a sigh and leaned against the curved walls of the lift. "I just hope he'll come to me if things get to much for him" he added as the lift came to a stop
"He will. Don't worry come on you better pack some warm clothes you know my sister keeps the house below zero. " Thrall grinned earning a groan from Tadashi. "Y'all have a heater don't know why you can't turn it on for your human guest"
On Andoria the two materialized inside a transporter station within one of Andorias major under ground cities. Tadashi was already shivering and covering himself with his mask as thrall stepped out and grinned. "Ah the crisp cold air of home! I missed it. C'mon icesicle let's go" grabbing his boyfriend the two stepped out into the icy snow covered street. "God iforgot how cold this place was" Tadashi shivered. "Yep and it's summer time to. Be glad you're not here for winter" thrall laughed slapping Tadashi on the back. "I think Vanessa said we could meet Xall at the cafe on the corner street from the transporter complex. Well stop there talk with him then head on to your sisters" the pair continued on entering one of the ice covered buildings from there they found Xall seated with presumedly his wife sipping at their drinks
"Xall hi. Tadashi Ito good to meet you this is my mate Thrall" Tadashi introduced taking a seat. "Captain it's a pleasure to meet you. This is my wife Lylwat. " Xall said gesturing to the woman beside him. "pleasure to meet you Tadashi we are most interested in your job offer more so with word we may work for the Bajoran government traveling to the Gamma Quadrant" Lylwat spoke. "Yes I'll say most my experience has been on a Bolian frieghter as chief engineer and that year with a tellarite scavenger. A starfleet vessel though that is something that caught my interest. I'm eager to learn about this ship Captain and get her to your expectations. As requested my wife will accompany me as I do enjoy her company she's been with me on all the vessels I've served. She has experience with medicine and graduated from the Bolian medical university. For reasonable fees she will be more then happy to tend to any injuries your crew may obtain. As for my payment I'm a reasonable man and being I will be learning the ins and outs of your vessel I accept a salary of 20 strips of latinum per month. " He said
20 strips? Jesus... Zack was paid 8.. Vanessa 10 Sato 11 and thrall 10 as well.. Tadashi pondered it. If the contract with bajor went through and work became steady he could see himself affording Xall bit right now
"Are you open to negotiating?" Tadashi asked. "Hmm perhaps captain give me your best offer and I shall consider keep in mind I am a experienced engineer with almost 30 years of experience and while starfleet technology is not my specialty it's certainly one I can learn very quickly." Xall said
"Ok.. you'll start with 11 strips your wife's services will be open to the crew and once our contracts with bajor are accepted your pay will rise and double after our first complete run equalling 22 and a promise you don't mention this at all to Vanessa cause she flys our ship and I don't need her flying us into a star"
Xall had a stern expression as he considered the Captain's offer. "15 strips and I'll accept a cap at 19 my wife's services will run at one strip for minor injuries and 3 for anything serious" he countered
"...deal welcome aboard Xall" he said as thrall gave him a sort of what the fuck look
"The Hayashi is currently orbiting Andoria here are the transporter code. I hope to see you there soon after me and Thrall pay our respects to his family".;standing up Tadashi shook xalls hand and the two left
"Dude really? 22? Why not give him bars Jesus" thrall complained. "Shut up if he's as good as he claims we can always drop Zack and working for bajor pays very very well they have a very strong cargo fleet they'll often cover expenses saving up money for payroll on my end. Now let's go see your sister"
