The silence in Eruhaben's room was broken by the panic voices outside, at first he thought they were being overly dramatic again, something that he already expected since the word of what happened to Cale had been sent to the Henituse castle. To be honest he was more surprised about the fact that it took almost half an hour for Cale's family to arrive.
The golden dragon emerged from his chamber just to check what was happening and he found Choi Han running towards the villa's exit. He was calling Cale's name as if he was missing.
Wait. Something's not right. His sharp hearing then heard a loud thump coming from the unlucky bastard's room and Eruhaben quickly lifted himself with magic. He quickly levitated to the room only to find the door open widely. Sprawled on the floor was his student, Rosalyn and to his surprise a tiny child with fiery red hair attempted to jump down from the bed. His eyes were locked on Rosalyn's form as his small hand tried to reach the floor.
The child fell from the bed face first but he did not land on the hard ground as Eruhaben lifted him with his golden dusts. He placed the child onto the ground and with his baby speed, he crawled to where Rosalyn was lying.
Eruhaben observed the child out of his shock. Saying he is adorable is not enough. He was beautiful. And Eruhaben does not need to wonder who is the child in front of him.
Cale Henituse, the commander known to the public as the Young Master Silver Shield. The hero of western continent. The one previously known as trash.
He has now reached Rosalyn and the baby Cale carefully patted Rosalyn's face with his tiny hands. He then took a fistful of her hair and rubbed it on his face.
"Mama..." He cooed with a happy expression. Eruhaben then strides towards the little child and takes him to his arms and with magic, he lifts Rosalyn's sleeping form and placed her upon the bed.
Cale's tiny hand grabbed his ear and Eruhaben couldn't help but to smile. He must have been wondering what it is. If he is not wrong, Cale in this form could be compared to an 18 month child. The golden dragon tenderly lifted the child's upper lip to check his teeth and he saw six little baby teeth budding from his gums.
Because of that, Cale started drooling. Eruhaben couldn't help but to shake his head. "You really are an unlucky bastard."
"Gwamp..." Cale said as if he recognized who Eruhaben was, the child innocently laid his head upon the valley of his shoulder and neck as he giggled. He then sprung up as if surprising the dragon with a delightful squeak.
He would be lying if he said he is not cute. In fact, Eruhaben contemplates if he should disappear from the western continent with baby Cale in tow. He would protect him at all cost, away from all the evil of this world.
His hand reached for the fat cheeks and gently caressed it with his thumb. "Who would have thought that this seemingly harmless child would grow into a sly yet smart young man."
His short peace with tiny Cale was interrupted when Ron entered the room in haste. His face was hard and pale. He must be thinking as well that Cale is missing thanks to the Choi Han who was panicking all over the place.
"Calm down, butler. Your young charge is safe." Eruhaben said to Ron before turning around.
Ron's eyes turned wide as soon as his eyes landed on the small child in the old dragon's arm.
"What?" That was the only thing he was able to say from his shock.
Eruhaben's gaze once again fell to the young child, who grabbed his golden hair and is now eating it. "It must have been the effect of the curse."
Ron's eyes never swayed away from the familiar baby face. He has no doubts on believing this is his young master as he was the one who took care of Cale as soon as he was born, and looking into the small form gave Ron a rush of nostalgia.
But above all, Ron knew that as soon as the news of this came out, the western continent would flip upside down.
He sighed. This is gonna be a problem.
"Cale-nim! Cale-nim, where are you?!"
