"S.S Hayashi this Bajoran orbital command. Your cargo has been fully loaded and you are cleared to depart for new bajor colony. Good luck and may the Prophet's be with you" a females voice spoke over the com system. Tadashi eased into his chair and took a look around him. Vanessa and Thrall infront. Satoshi off to the right, Xall and Zack off to the left and Lylwat standing by the turbolift.
"Well crew here marks our first time to the Gamma Quadrant let's do well get this cargo delivered on time and according to Vanessa there is a rumor circulating about a derelict freighter now I've agreed we can take a look at it but if it is to dangerous we will be heading back to Bajor for our next assignment. Over all this job is expected to take us about 3 weeks a short assignment but our contract states that if we do well and meet our deadline we can start taking on longer assignments and those pay off very well especially the exporting cargos to other colony's and species in the gamma that have established trade relations with Bajor let's get it done. Vanessa plot a course for the wormhole let's go" Tadashi said
"Aye aye Captain off we go full impulse time to the wormhole 1 hr" she said leaning into her chair and watching the screen turn dark as Bajor moved out of view. "Well if you'll excuse me Captain I'm going to continue my studies in engineering I do believe I can get more power from our impulse engines by fine tuning the plasma manifolds." Xall said stepping to the lift. "And I shall see to it the medical supplies loaded are secure " Lylwat added joining her husband the lift doors closing
"Vanessa how long will it take to reach new bajor?" Tadashi asked. "About a week at warp 7 less if we push it but I don't see a reason to we got pleanty of time to get there" Vanessa said. Giving a nod Tadashi sighed. This was always the boring part the time between place to place. "Keep me updated I'm going to get something to eat. Sato want to join me?" He asked his brother who gave a nod and stood up. Thrall gave a look back at Tadashi before focusing ahead as the Ito brothers entered the turbolift
In the messhall Tadashi stood by the old outdated replicator. He wasn't going to complain though the former Hayashi never had one it had a old style food recycler but xaiver never could get it to work. Having a actual functional food replicator was saving them from eating rations and spending money on food supplies
"Chicken soup with cup of green tea" he asked watching the bowel materialize he took it to one of the tables next to a window and sat across from Sato who was poking at a bowel of ramen
"How you holding up?" He finally asked after a moment of silence. "I'm...trying Lylwat gave something she said should help with the nightmares. But I'll be ok. I'm certainly doing better then a year ago" he said giving a faint smile . "Ok you know you can talk to me right?" Tadashi asked and Sato gave a nod.
Later that evening Tadashi was stepping out of the shower towel wrapped around his waist. Thrall already undressed and in bed. "Sato ok up there alone?" He asked. "Yeah little guy says he got it. Vanessa's turned in Xall I think is still in engineering and Zach who knows probably being creepy somewhere. Come to bed already time to sleep " thrall said patting the bed. Tadashi chuckled as he removed his towel and slid on some underwear before joining thrall wrapping his arms around the larger muscular Andorian and getting comfortable. "I worry about him. It's been a year and he still looks like he's struggling" Tadashi sighed resting his head upon Thralls chest. "And he probably will he for another year. You don't get over something like that easily it's gonna live with him forever he'll just learn how to cope with it and accept it" thrall answered "now sleep he'll be ok"
Giving a nod Tadashi ordered the lights off and soon drifted off
The coming week they reached New Bajor with no issues assuming orbit around the beautiful class m planet they began transporting down their cargo receiving many thanks from the colonies main hospital. With their orders now to return to Bajor the Hayashi set off but a little detour was in the works
"So where exactly is this freighter supposedly?" Tadashi asked "according to quark his source said it's located somewhere in deep space about 20 light-years from the wormhole. Plotting out a general idea it'll take us about a week to get there then if we spend a day or two looking and find it we'll still have time to get back to Bajor in time for our new assignment." She said. "Xall says warp drives set and everything is good we shouldn't need to take on any supplies or deterium for least 5 more weeks" Tadashi nodded. "very well let's go engage"
