It was a cold winter day in Yucaipa, California at the Java Lava as the Rugrats were hanging out and playing in the playpen. Since the weather was cold and blustery out, there were a lot of folks craving for some nice warm refreshments, which resulted in the Java Lava being busier than the day it opened for business. Chaz, Kira and Betty were swamped in the coffee house. Howard pitched in to help as well. And to say that they had their hands full was an understatement.
"Wow, looks like you guys have your work cut out this winter season" said Stu as he leaned on the counter as he drank his hot cup of joe.
"Absolutely, and who can blame a person? There's nothing like a hot cup of joe to get you warmed up and get up and go on a cold winter day!" exclaimed Betty as she was pouring some coffee in a few cups for the customers.
"You are preaching to the choir dear" replied Howard as he was helping Chaz taking customers' orders.
"Despite the sudden surge, I think this is great. We haven't had this many customers in a while," said Kira.
"I agree honey" replied Chaz. "I hope the children aren't overwhelmed by the large number of people" he added as he saw the Rugrats happily playing and hanging out together.
"Tell you what Chaz, why don't I take them off your hands for you? I can take them over to the park. I'm certain they'd love to go and play in the snow" suggested Stu.
"Hmmm, I'm not sure Stu, it's very cold out today. Chuckie is usually sensitive around this time of year. And all that cold dry air never fails to do a number on the little guy," said Chaz.
"Don't worry Chaz old buddy, I'll make sure they're all bundled up and warm, if they get too cold, we'll come right back here. Besides that, I think your customers need your attention," said Stu as he eyed the line of waiting customers.
"Very well then" replied Chaz as he tended to the line of waiting customers.
Stu then made his way over to the playpen and unlatched the gate to let the Rugrats out.
"Come on kids, we're headed for the park!" exclaimed Stu.
Upon hearing the park being mentioned, the kids' eyes lit up with excitement as they rushed to get their winter gear on. Once Stu made sure everyone took a bathroom break or in Dil's, Savannah's and Zack's case, having their diapers changed, he also made sure they were bundled up nice and warm. Once that was done, everyone one headed out to the door to the Pickles family car and were enroute to the park.
Meanwhile, as Stu and the Rugrats were making their way over to the park, at the same time a certain group of brothers were at the park as well. Pacing in the snow was none other than their leader Timmy McNulty with his four brothers all standing tall and proud before him.
"All right McNulty's listen up, I want us all, myself included, to be in great shape for the Winter Lympics (Olympics)" said Timmy.
"Yeah!" shouted Terry, Teddy, Todd and Ty in unison.
"We'll crush the competition," said Terry.
"We're number one!" added Todd and Ty in unison.
"Nothing can stop us" Teddy chimed in.
"That's the McNulty spirit guys," said Timmy. "Let the training begin!" he added.
The others nodded in agreement as they began their training.
Meanwhile, Stu and the Rugrats arrived at the park and settled in nicely. As Stu got comfortable on the bench, the Rugrats ran off to figure out what to play as they soon stopped in the middle of the sidewalk.
"What are we going to do guys?" asked Kimi.
"Hmmm, I don't know, there's lots of different stuff we can do" replied Tommy.
"I'm sure if we all put our heads together, we can figure out something we can all do" Zack chimed in.
"Maybe we can makes another snow baby" suggested Phil.
"Ooooh, I gots an even betterer idea. Let's make more snowy angels!" said Lil as she plopped onto her back in the snow.
"Nothing against making snow angels, but my back gets all wet and then I gets cold and shivery," said Chuckie.
Meanwhile, Todd and Ty were running some laps around the park as part of their training. Unbeknownst to them however, the Rugrats were unintentionally blocking the path on the sidewalk. As Todd and Ty rounded the corner, they were running at their full speed, when they suddenly spotted the group. Todd and Ty attempted to stop running as the pair unfortunately stepped on a patch of ice as they slipped forward and landed on their stomachs as they slid up to the Rugrats. Upon being startled by their fall, the two McNulty brothers teared up and began bawling loudly as it caught not only the attention of the Rugrats that were in front of them, but also the other McNulty brothers that were close by. Obviously worried about their twin brothers, the McNulty's made their way toward the direction of their cries.
"Hey look, it's Timmy's twin brothers Todd and Ty" Phil pointed out as he recognized the twin McNulty's.
In a random act of kindness, the Deville twins walked over to the twin McNulty boys. Sure, they were a little apprehensive as they were rivals, but it was still the nice thing to do as they remembered helping Timmy and Terry when they were in a spot of bother in the Junior Bike-athon months earlier.
"Here takes our hands," said Phil.
"We'll help ya this time" added Lil.
Todd and Ty were feeling rather embarrassed to know that they were crying in front of their rivals, sniffled as they quickly wiped their tears and sat up Indian style.
"We don't needs your help!" snapped Todd.
"Yeah! We wouldn't have falleded (falled) if you guys weren't in our way!" exclaimed Ty as the twin McNulty's crossed their arms.
"Sorry!" said Phil and Lil in unison as they pulled their hands back.
"Talk about ungrateful!" whispered Zack to Kimi.
"Uh-huh" whispered Kimi.
The rest of the Rugrats murmured their apologies as well. Just as the McNulty twins got back on their feet again, Timmy, Terry and Teddy finally made their way over to see if their twin brethren were okay.
"Are you guys, okay?" asked Terry.
"Yeah we're fine" replied Todd.
"We just fallded (falled) down acause they were in the way" added Ty as he and Todd pointed to the Rugrats.
"Well, well if it isn't Tommy Pickles and his little baby crew. What dumb baby games are you all playing at now?" said Timmy with a smug look on his face.
"Hey! Our games aren't dumb! They're a lot more fun than what you guys are doing" Tommy retorted before he popped the question. "What are you guys doing anyway?"
"We're training for the Winter Lympics (Olympics)" replied Timmy.
"Ooooh! That sounds cool" exclaimed Jesse.
"Uh-huh. Can we play Winter Lympics (Olympics)" asked Kimi.
That question made Timmy laugh in front of the Rugrats faces.
"Hey! What's so funny?!" snapped Dil.
"You goodie goodie babies compete against us in the Winter Lympics (Olympics)?!" laughed Timmy. "Not only would you finish dead last, but we'd totally mop the floor with you because...?" he said before Todd and Ty spoke next.
"We're number one! We're number one! We're number one!" cheered Todd and Ty in unison.
The Rugrats just shook their heads and rolled their eyes as the other McNulty boys laughed, rubbed salt on their wounds and gloated. Then the Deville twins spoke next.
"Yeah, we heared that afore. Acause not only did we beat you fair in square the lastest time we played Lympics (Olympics) and win the gold medal..." said Phil before Lil spoke next.
"But our side did win that big trike race and those yummy Reptar bars a whole bunch of yesterdays, member?" added Lil.
Timmy's face turned red with embarrassment as he cringed at the memory of the incident involving him and Terry losing the race due to lack of proper stretching before and after exercising, and even though they have since learned their lessons, Timmy would still go on an ego trip when it came to competition.
"Ha! You goodie goodies got lucky those times. Well, I say all bets are off!" Timmy.
"Well, we'll never know unless WE do go up against you guys!" said Zack with determination.
"Oh yeah, I'd like to see you goodie, goodie babies have the guts to even try!" challenged Timmy.
"We'll show you, right guys" asked Tommy as he turned to the other Rugrats.
"Right!" replied the Rugrats in unison.
"Sure, why not" Chuckie relented. "I know when I'm outnumbered and licked anyway"
"Fine" replied Timmy. "Of course, we have to have teams for the Winter Lympics (Olympics) and not only will I join the battle, I'll also be the judge" he added as he crossed his arms.
Soon, the McNulty's and the Rugrats had made up their teams. Both sides agreed that it be teams of odds and evens. Timmy and Terry were team #1. Teddy, Todd and Ty were team #2. Tommy and Dil were team #3. Phil and Lil were team #4. Chuckie and Kimi were team #5. And finally, Jesse, Zack and Savannah were team #6.
"Alright babies, now it's time for the firstest event of the Winter Lympics (Olympics)! We're going to be starting with...Blobsledding (Bobsleigh run)! Each of you babies will ride your sleds down big kid mountain and the firstest team to reach the bottom wins" said Timmy as he pointed to the snow-covered hilltop in the distance. "Now you babies makes your way up big kid mountain with the sleds and when we're ready I'll tells you when to go"
Upon finishing his explanation, Timmy ran over toward his other four brothers to give them their instructions for the upcoming events. Meanwhile, the Rugrats had made it to the top of big kid mountain and were going over their game plan.
"Okay you guys, let's show them what we're made of," said Tommy.
"Yeah!" exclaimed Phil and Lil in unison.
"He who laughs last laughs best" Zack chimed in.
"This is gonna be lots of fun!" exclaimed Savannah.
"Yeah, I can't wait to get started with the Winter Lympics (Olympics)" added Dil.
"I'm so excited, I could just jump right out of my skin!" said Jesse excitedly.
"I don't knows about this you guys. I'm kinda nervous about being this high up, possibly getting hurt and that we're playing Winter Lympics (Olympics) against Timmy McNulty" said Chuckie as he was shaking in his boots.
"Come on, Chuckie don't be a baby! You can do it. Besides you gots Kimi right there with yous" replied Tommy as he put a comforting hand on his best friends shoulder.
"Uh-huh, you gots me Chuckie" said Kimi as she gave him a playful elbow. "Asides wouldn't it be nice to win the Lympics (Olympics)?" she asked.
"Sure Kimi, sure" sighed Chuckie. Knowing he wouldn't be able to deny and ruin everyone's fun.
Soon, the McNulty boys made their way up to the top of bug kid mountain as each team had their sleds and lined up. Everyone climbed onto their sleds as they got ready to go down the hill.
"Do we really gots to do this?" asked Chuckie as he and Kimi got settled onto their sled.
"Relax Chuckie, it'll be okay" Kimi assured her brother" Asides, you can just keep your eyes closed when we go down the hill and it'll be over afore you even know it"
Upon hearing that, Chuckie breathed a collective sigh of relief that he can keep his eyes closed during the descent.
"Alright babies, I'm going to count to three and when I say go, you sled down the mountain as fast as you can!" said Timmy.
With their hearts pounding with excitement, each of the teams got into position to head down the mountain as Timmy began the countdown.
"1, 2, 3! Go babies, go!" Timmy exclaimed.
Upon hearing their cue, the six teams began making their speedy descent down the mountain. The sounds of giggling and happy squealing with the addition of Chuckie screaming in fear were echoing all the way down the mountain.
As all the kids made their descent down the mountain, a fantasy sequence began as they imagined that they were all participating in the Olympics that was of course modified to what little knowledge they had of said event. All the teams were neck in neck in the beginning, however Jesse, Zack and Savannah's sled began pulling out ahead a bit. The Deville twins, the Pickles and Timmy and Terry weren't too far behind them as they tried pulling ahead. Teddy, Ty and Todd, and the Finsters were tailing behind the leading teams As everyone was giving it their all, they suddenly saw a rock up ahead. And without dwelling on it, every team managed to swerve away from the rock and narrowly avoided taking a tumble thanks to some fast reaction from their teammates.
As the six teams continued their descent down the mountain, the Deville twins, Timmy and Terry, and the Finsters had fallen slightly behind as it left a close call with Jesse, Zack and Savannah holding onto the lead as the Pickles and Teddy, Todd and Ty were closing in on the leading team as they were right on their tail as they were approaching the bottom of the mountain. At the very last minute, Jesse, Zack and Savannah managed to pull ahead and reached the bottom of the mountain first.
"Yay! We won!" Jesse cheered excitedly.
"Nice one guys, we almost beated you" Dil giggled as he got off the sled.
"That was a wild ride!" said Phil and Lil in unison.
"That was super fun!" exclaimed Kimi as she got off the sled.
"I'm just glad that's over and we're still in one piece instead of pieces," said Chuckie.
The scene then changed back to reality.
Seeing that the race was complete, Timmy and his brothers made their way over to the group.
"Alright, that gives, Jesse, Zack and Savannah's team one point seeing as they won the first event. And now it time for the nextest event," said Timmy.
"What's nextest Timmy?" asked Tommy.
"Since Jesse, Zack and Savannah won the firstest event, Todd, Ty and Phil and Lil will do the nextest event. Whoever wins the nextest one gets to compete with Jesse, Zack and Savannah's team in the big final event" explained Timmy.
Timmy then led everyone over to the frozen lake where several other kids were also playing on one side each as they were doing their own thing whether it was ice skating or sliding around the ice in general with their sleds.
"The nextest event you babies will be doing is ice hockey. It's a game where you use sticks to hit around this rubber thing called a puck into a goal. Of course, we'll have to make do with what we gots since this isn't the real deal. Do any of you babies gots a teething ring we could use as a puck for this event?" asked Timmy.
"I gots a teething ring that's in my diapie bag" Dil chimed in.
"That'll do" said Timmy before turning his attention to his other siblings. "Since Todd and Ty are going to compete in this event, I'll draw the lines with some sticks, and Teddy you find some really long sticks that we can use as hockey sticks. And Terry, you hang back for a minute"
Following Timmy's instructions, He and Teddy got to work as they set up the makeshift hockey ring. Meanwhile, Tommy and Dil retrieved one of Dil's round teething rings in the diaper bag that Stu had brought to the park whilst Teddy found some decent sized sticks that were sticking out of the snow. While they did that, Timmy turned to Terry.
"Terry, we'll need you to be a goalie for our side" said Timmy.
"Okay Timmy" replied Terry.
Just as Timmy turned his attention to the Rugrats, Tommy and Dil returned with one of Dil's teething rings.
"Alright, we gots Dil's teething ring," said Tommy.
"Alright Pickles. We'll also need goldie (goalie) to block the puck's shots from getting across the goal line. Terry is going to be the goldie (goalie) for our side, but who is going to be the goldie (goalie) for your side?" asked Timmy.
The Rugrats then turned to Chuckie and smiled with sneaky looks on their faces.
"Why are you guys looking at me like that?" asked Chuckie nervously. "You're not suggesting I'd do it?"
The Rugrats nodded.
"Why me, why always me?" whined Chuckie.
"You are the biggest kid in our group Chuckie" Zack chimed in.
"Uh-huh. Asides that, the team needs you Chuckie" added Kimi.
"Okay, okay I'll do it" sighed Chuckie.
"Yay!" cheered the Rugrats.
Soon after, the other McNulty brothers had finished getting everything set up as the makeshift ring was all set to go. Terry and Chuckie also took their positions at the goal lines and were ready to play whenever everyone else was.
"Alright you babies, the rules are plain and simple, you have to get the puck past the goldie (goalie) and the line of the goal. That means Todd and Ty will have to get the puck past Chuckie and Phil and Lil will have to get it past Terry. And whichever team gets 3 whole goals is the winner of the game and will get to be in the final event. Got it?" explained Timmy as he asked the two teams if they understood the rules.
"Yeah! We gots it." said Phil and Lil in unison as they nodded.
"Okay! Then let the games begin! When I give the signal, you guys go," said Timmy as he placed the teething ring on the ice between Phil and Todd. "Ready...Go!"
Timmy moved out of the way to the other side of the lake with Teddy and the Rugrats as the game started. Lil got a hold of the teething ring with her stick as she ended up pushing it towards the direction of Terry and the goal line. And just as quick, Todd and Ty both chased down Lil. Phil was also right behind them. Ty managed to get the puck away from Lil as he began making a path back to the other side. Of course, witnessing the game as it unfolded, the Rugrats cheered for both teams as they were very excited to see how the outcome of the game would play out. As the game progressed, a fantasy sequence from the kids' imaginations began as they imagined they were in the Olympics playing said game with Teddy as the announcer for the hockey game.
"And as you can all sees right now, Ty McNulty has the puck and is making his way towards the goal" announced Teddy.
As Ty continued pushing the teething ring, he was unexpectedly blocked by Phil getting in the pathway as he frowned.
"Oooh and it looks like Phil Deville has moveded (moved) in to stops Ty" said Teddy.
"Over here Ty!" Todd called out from behind Phil on the left side wanting him to pass the ring over to him.
Acting on it quickly, Ty hit the ring as he passed the teething ring over to Todd who continued his way over to the goal. Approaching the goal line where Chuckie was, Todd hit the teething ring with the stick as the ring slid past Chuckie and the line giving Todd and Ty the first point of the game!
"And the firstest point out of three goes to Todd and Ty!" announced Teddy.
The Rugrats were good sports about it as they applauded.
"Nice one! Victory is in the bag" said Ty as he came over to stand next to Todd.
"Don't forgets you gots to gets three points, you guys only got one so far" Lil giggled as she slid by on the ice like she was on ice skates.
At that moment, Timmy, now dressed as a referee, made his way back to the center of the ring as the two teams converged in the middle again. Placing the teething ring down again, each of the competing babies got in position as they prepared to go again. Once Timmy saw that the two teams were ready to roll, he gave the signal for them to go once again as he skated back from the two teams. Todd got a hold of the ring first as he skated his way over to the goal, however Phil quickly caught up and snatched the ring away with his own stick as Phil made his way to the other side of the makeshift ring to make an attempt to score.
"Ooooh, looks like Phil Deville has gotted a hold of the puck and is making his ways to the goal!" announced Teddy.
Todd and Ty gasped as they attempted to catch up with Phil, in the hopes that they could stop him before Phil could attempt to score a goal. The enticing race to stop Phil was on as Todd and Ty both tried to stop their rival with Todd catching up to finally block Phil's way to the goal. Frowning that his path is blocked, Phil glanced over at Lil as she was moving in fast.
"Lillian catch!" Phil called out to his twin sister as he hit the ring in Lil's direction.
"Don't worry Phillip, I gots this!" Lil replied.
"Ooooh. It looks like Lil has the puck, but Ty is catching up fast!" exclaimed Teddy.
Seeing Ty heading toward her direction, Lil made her way towards the goal. Terry was standing at the goal, preparing to block any shots with a determined look on his face. Stopping near the goal, Lil looked back as she saw Ty catching up fast. And looking between Ty and Terry, Lil targeted the goal and took her shot as she hit the ring and it flew straight towards the goal.
"Uh-oh!" muttered Terry as he attempted to stop the ring by jumping to catching it before it passed by.
Unfortunately, Terry was a tad off in his timing as the ring landed and slid right past him giving Phil and Lil a point.
"Goalllll!" That ties up the score to one for both teams!" announced Teddy.
"Yay!" cheered the Rugrats in unison.
"Great job partner" congratulated Phil.
"You too partner" replied Lil.
The Deville twins gave each other a high-five as they were proud that at least this time around, they put their usual petty arguments aside for the time being and focused on helping one another score a point.
"Lucky shot..." Ty muttered.
"Oh don't get your undies in a bunch yet, we can still win" assured Todd.
Converging back in the center of the ring, the teething ring was put into place once again as Timmy gave the signal to continue. The next two rounds of the match had a lot of back and forth between the two teams. Eventually, each of the two teams gained another goal as it put them neck in neck with two points each. The Rugrats cheered with excitement as the competition was getting suspenseful to say the least. Finally, it was time for the final round that would determine the winner of the ice hockey portion of the match and who got to compete with Jesse, Zack and Savannah's team in the final round of the Winter Lympics.
"This is it folks, the last round will determine who moves on and who's out for the rest of the game!" announced Teddy.
Getting into position for the final round, both groups of toddlers looked determined to win this final match. Timmy held up his hand and got ready to give the signal as he placed the ring down. With the ring in place, Timmy gave the okay as the final round began! It once again turned into a game of back and forth for a little bit with some close calls being blocked by each goalie at their own personal goals. Todd currently had the ring as he was making yet another attempt towards Chuckie and the goal to try and score only to be cut off by Phil and Lil.
"Todd, I'm open over here!" Ty called out on Lil's left behind Phil.
Upon hearing his teammate call out the opening and acting on it quickly, he didn't hesitate to pass over the ring to Ty. Grinning, Ty took the ring as he continued the rest of the way to the goal as Chuckie stood ready to block. Without skipping a beat, Ty hit the ring towards the makeshift goal as Chuckie tried his best as he was a little nervous but was a little off in his timing as he dived to block it. The ring slid past the goal line setting off the imaginary buzzer that indicated a win.
"Todd and Ty win the game!" announced Teddy in the mic.
As the game concluded, so did the fantasy sequence each of the kids were having as the scene changed back to reality. The other McNultys cheered for their victory as Todd and Ty gave each other a high five and the Rugrats applauded Phil, Lil and Chuckie for giving it their best effort.
"We're number one! We're number one!" cheered Todd and Ty in unison.
"We gets to compete in the final game" said Todd as he beamed in delight.
Soon everyone gathered back on the lake side in the snow as Phil and Lil came up to congratulate Todd and Ty.
"Congrats you two," said Phil.
"Yeah, it was lots of fun sliding around too!" added Lil as she giggled.
Todd and Ty were taken aback. Sure, they would have expected any snarky remarks about their rival opponents losing the game, but they didn't expect they would receive compliments from them. So, they put the thought on the back burner for the moment and shook hands with the Deville twins.
"Thanks, you two" replied Todd.
"Yeah. We had fun too" added Ty.
Stepping up to the group, Timmy whistled to silence the group of kids as they all turned his attention to him.
"Alright, since Todd and Ty are the winners, that means they're going to get to play in the final Lympics (Olympics) game with Jesse, Zack and Savannah's team. This last game will determine who's not only the bestest but also the winner of the Winter Lympics (Olympics) overall!" explained Timmy.
"What's the lastest game?" asked Savannah.
"I'm getting to that!" The last game of the Lympics (Olympics) will be... the bathyalon (Biathlon)!" Each team will be competing in a relay race, but this is not just any relay race. First one of you two babies will have to run down the playground sidewalk all the way to the playground structure and tag your partner. Then your partner will have to climbs all the way to the top where one of my brothers will be waiting and, taking one of our nerf guns they'll be waiting with, go down the slides and the firstest baby from the team to get one of the darts on the rocking horsey will be the winner of the Lympics (Olympics)!" explained Timmy before asking a follow up question, "Do you babies got all that?"
"Loud and clear Timmy!" called out Todd and Ty in unison.
Jesse, Zack and Savannah all nodded in agreement.
"Good, now you all wait here and we'll come get you when we're ready to start" commanded Timmy as he ran off and his brothers followed, except for Todd and Ty.
After a few minutes had passed, Timmy made his way back over to the group to tell them that the preparations for the last event were finally ready.
"Alright, babies who aren't in the final game can watch from the edge from the sandbox. Todd, Ty, Jesse, Zack and Savannah, before you follow me to the starting line, figure out which of the two of you on your teams is gonna do the running and who's gonna try and hit the rocking horsey" Timmy instructed.
Both teams nodded as they separated out of earshot to plan out their strategy on which race placements were going to do such and such. Whilst the Rugrats made their wat over to the sandbox near the playset taking their seats on the ledge of the box ready to cheer for their friends.
"How are we gonna do this guys? There's three of us and only two can compete in this" asked Savannah.
"I was thinking that Jesse could do the running given his hyperactive attitude" replied Zack.
"Hey, yeah! I could do that. I'll do my bestest for the team" said Jesse. "And I bet Lil will be proud of me when she see's me run likes no tomorrow" He thought to himself.
"Now to figure out if either you should try to hit the rocking horse or if I should," said Zack.
"Hmmm, I thinks you should try that Zack," said Savannah.
"Me?" questioned Zack.
"Uh-huh. You are the smarterest (smartest) baby in the whole wild world. You can count and read words pretty good, gots great ideas, know how to say the right things and you can't miss," said Savannah.
"Yeah, how about it Zack?" Jesse chimed in.
Zack took in what Savannah said. Sure, he already knew that he was a child prodigy in the group. But he also knew that being smart wasn't the same as being wise and that the whole team was counting on the trio to give it their best shot, no matter the outcome. So, for the sake of the team, Zack finally said...
"Okay guys, win or lose, I'll give it my best shot!" said Zack.
"Yeah!" cheered the trio in unison.
Meanwhile, Todd and Ty were discussing their strategy to win the final event.
"That's a great idea Todd" said Ty.
"Yeah, I'll be running and they'll be eating my dust" replied Todd.
"And I couldn't possibly miss either. Not when we scored big with ice hockey," said Ty.
Both McNulty brothers nodded in agreement as they believed they couldn't fail. Soon, both teams were ready as Timmy motioned for them to follow him across the snow-covered grass towards the sidewalk near the playset. Before starting, Jesse and Zack told Timmy that they'd be the ones to compete in the final event and that Savannah was gonna hang back, which Timmy was okay with as only two players from each team were required for the final event.
"Alright now, whichever one of you is gonna go up on the playset, go and stands over by the playset stairs. Runners, you stay here and get ready for me to give the signal to start" commanded Timmy.
Following Timmy's instructions, Jesse and Todd made their way behind the line to wait for the signal while Zack and Ty made their way over to the playset stairs. Glancing between the two toddlers, Timmy figured they were ready to go as he got in position to set off the final event. With a final fantasy sequence starting up again, Timmy was once again dressed in a referee uniform holding a starting gun to the sky.
"This is it folks, the final event of the Lympics (Olympics) as a whole. For this final race, we have the two lastest teams: Zack Wehrenberg and Jesse Barrow on one team and Todd and Ty McNulty on the other team. Who will win the Winter Lympics (Olympics)? We will soon find out!" announced Teddy to the crowd.
After Teddy finished up his announcement, Timmy was given the okay to finally start the final race.
"On your marks, get set...GO!" said Timmy as he fired the gun in the air as he yelled out for the toddlers to go.
With that, Jesse and Todd both took off sprinting down the playground sidewalk as fast as they possibly could. The Rugrats were sitting on the edge of the sandbox as they cheered for their friends as their hearts were pounding with excitement and anticipation. And to say that they were curious as to how the race was going to end was a real understatement. Todd tried pulling ahead of Jesse as his hyperness kicked into high gear as he held the lead, though Todd was on Jesse's tail. However, unknowingly, Todd accidentally stepped onto a patch of ice on the sidewalk that wasn't fully cleared out as he didn't see it because he was too focused on his opponent as he slipped and landed on his back as Jesse pulled out further ahead.
"Oooh and it looks like Todd has taken a slip and slides on the ice!" announced Teddy as the imaginary crowd let out their oohs.
Luckily Todd wasn't hurt too badly as he carefully regained his footing as he picked himself up off the ground and attempted to run as quick as he could after his tumble. Jesse of course ended up reaching the playset first as he tagged Zack, panted out of breath after sprinting and fell back into the snow. At the same time, Zack began making his way up the playset stairs as Ty feared that Todd's inconvenient tumble was possibly going to cost his team the whole game and was understandably nervous as he looked over at Todd.
"And it looks like Zack Wehrenberg has taken the lead! Will he beat Ty and Todd before Ty even gets to climb up?" asked Teddy to no one in particular.
"Come on Todd, hurry up we're losing!" yelled Ty in frustration.
"Hey! I'm doing...the bestest that I can! At least you're not...the one that falleded (falled) down!" retorted Todd between breaths.
Todd finally got over to Ty as he tagged him, and he was able to start climbing up the stairs. Of course, with having a slight lead start, Zack had already made it up to the top where Terry was waiting with the nerf guns as Terry handed one to Zack. Taking the toy gun, Zack then toddled over to the slide to slide down to the bottom. At the same time, Ty finished his climb up as Terry handed him the other nerf toy gun. Then Terry himself climbed down to the bottom. Making it safely to the bottom of the slide, Zack then made his way over to the rocking horse nearby with Ty sliding moments afterward and running to catch up. When both toddlers got over to the rocking horse, they saw Terry was there rocking the playground toy to make it challenging for the two to hit.
"Looks like it's anyone's game now folks!" announced Teddy.
Both toddlers stood at a distance holding up their nerf toy guns to try and somehow aim at their moving target as they each took a shot at the rocking horse with Ty's dart being red and Zack's being green. Unfortunately, neither of them managed to hit the horse as their aiming was slightly off. They took another attempt and missed the horse yet again by a hair.
"Ooh it looks like both teams are having trouble hitting the rocking horsey!" announced Teddy condescendingly.
Both toddlers huffed in frustration as they prepared to take their final shots. This time around, one of the darts finally connected and stuck to the horse. Once the final shots were taken and a loud hush settled around, the color of the dart that hit the horse was revealed; it was Zack's!
"Ladies and gentyman (gentleman), Zack and Jesse are the winners of the Winter Lympics (Olympics)!" Teddy bellowed out.
"Yay!" cheered Zack as he was proud that he actually managed to win the 'Lympics for his team and himself.
At that moment, Jesse caught up to Zack.
"Congrats Zack, you did a good job partner!" exclaimed Jesse.
"Good job to you too partner" replied Zack as they high fived one another.
The other Rugrats ran up to Zack and Jesse and congratulated and cheered for their victory.
"Phew! That was such a close one!" exclaimed Chuckie.
"Uh-huh, it was super close at that" added Kimi.
"Yeah!" added Phil and Lil in unison.
"That was really really exciting!" exclaimed Jesse.
"Even though I had to sits this lastest one out, I still thinked it was a good idea that Zack and Jesse handled this one," said Savannah.
"Thanks Savannah, you're a good teammate and a friend too" replied Zack.
"I agrees with you" added Tommy.
"Same here" said Dil.
At that moment, Chuckie looked over his shoulder and saw that the McNulty boys were looking a little disappointed that they were defeated yet again by their rivals. And that's when an idea flew into his head, though he was a bit apprehensive.
"Um guys" Chuckie began. "I don't know if it's such a good idea, but it looks like Timmy and his brothers could use some cheering up over there seeing how they losted the Lympics (Olympics) again"
"That's not a bad idea Chuckie" replied Tommy.
"I wholeheartedly agree with this, even if they're our rivals" added Zack.
The other Rugrats nodded in agreement as they were not only doing it just to be nice, but to let their rivals know that they were not sore winners given the incredible display of good sportsman ship they displayed at the end of the Junior bike-athon months earlier. So, they made their way over to the McNulty brothers.
"Well if it isn't Pickles and his goodie goodie baby crew. I suppose you came to rub it in our faces, eh?" retorted Timmy.
"We're not here to rub salt on your wounds or anything of the sort Timmy" said Zack.
"We came to cheer you guys up and maybe see a smile on those faces instead of dark frowns," said Chuckie.
"Yeah, we think you guys did a good job out there, even if you didn't win" Kimi chimed in.
"Yeah, there were some pretty clever and sneak moves with the ice hockey event" added Savannah.
"What exactly are you babies getting at?" asked Timmy.
"What we're saying is that each and every one of us, including your brothers did the bestest out there and that sometimes it's not all that important to win a game than it is to have fun" said Tommy.
"Yeah, you remember how me, and my friends helped you guys out when you were in trouble at the end of that trike race?" asked Chuckie.
Timmy and Terry nodded and cringed at the mention of the Junior bike-athon.
"Well, even after winning the trike race, Chuckie and the girls noticed that you were in trouble and we all agreed to help, even if you're our rivals" added Jesse.
"You guys membered that even though our side won that trike race" said Phil before Lil cut in.
"But because we knowed (know) how you tried so hard to do your bestest to try and win the big prize, we all shared half of those Reptar bars with you member?" added Lil.
"Yeah, that was nice of you guys to come to our aid. And boy did we need it when Me and Timmy were all tired out from not stretching properly" Terry chimed in.
"Yeah, even I gots to admit Pickles, there are some sore losers in the world that wouldn't have come to our aid when we needed" Timmy relented.
"So, we're cool?" asked Dil.
The McNultys thought for a moment. Finally, Timmy said...
"Yeah, we're cool this time Pickles," said Timmy.
"But don't expect this too much from us all the time" added Todd and Ty in unison as they stuck their tongues out.
Tommy and Zack each threw a snowball in their faces in retaliation as they laughed.
"Yeah, your other brothers would get weirded out by the sudden attitude change" agreed Zack.
"But don't worry, even if you're never this nice all the time, we'll always know you're not all that bad" added Tommy. "Not like that big bully we metted on that big ship a whole bunch of yesterdays" He thought to himself.
The other Rugrats nodded in agreement as Chuckie whispered to Tommy.
"But we can dream, can't we?" whispered Chuckie.
"Uh-huh" whispered Tommy.
"You know there is one more thing that would make this all better?" said Timmy and his siblings had snowballs hidden behind their back and grinned.
"What's that?" asked Phil and Lil in unison.
"Snowball fight!" exclaimed the McNulty brothers in unison as they started throwing snowballs at the Rugrats.
The Rugrats engaged in a great big snowball fight with the McNultys until it was finally time for all the kids to leave for the day as they parted ways. Stu brought the Rugrats back to the Java Lava where each of the babies got some hot chocolate to drink and warm up before heading home to call it a day and get into their nice warm pajamas and beds after such an eventful snow filled day.
