It was a beautiful sunny Saturday in Jasper City as everyone was at the beach enjoying the sun, the water,the sand and fun, Humphrey along with Kate, Runt, Stinky,Claudette,Garth and Lilly, were all sitting in the sand, of course the males of the group were wearing different colored swim trunks while the ladies Lilly and Claudette were wearing one peace swimsuits Lilly's was purple and Claudette's was cyan, while Kate was wearing a matching yellow bikini and bottoms.
While Kate, Humphrey,Garth and Lilly sat in the sand listening to everyone else have fun, Runt Stinky and Claudette were building a sand castle in front of them, then out of the corner of her eye Claudette saw a green frisbee land by her feet then suddenly a brown and white young male pup that looked the same age as Stinky and had blue eyes walked over to them in an apologetic tone "Oh I'm sor..."the pup stopped mid sentence after he saw Claudette, and Claudette's eyes widened in surprise as she fully recognized this pup "Fleet?"Claudette asked with a little smile "Hey Claudette."Fleet greeted back Kate who was paying attention to the encounter looked at Claudette curiously "You know this young pup sweetie?"Kate asked with a smile "Uh yeah this is Fleet he went to our middle school during our first year but he transferred to another one."Claudette explained "Yep i go to North Forest Middle School."Fleet said with a proud smile.
Stinky looked at Fleet and chimed in "Oh yeah now i remember you,you're Claudette's boyfriend." making Fleet blush and Claudette glare at Stinky, Humphrey who was laying on a towel sat up in alarm after hearing the word Boyfriend "Uhh excuse me?!"
"Humphrey..."Kate said calmly "He's joking Dad,fleet is just a friend."Claudette said with a sheepish smile as Fleet nodded but Stinky wasn't finished "just a friend, then why did you write all those lovey dovey things about him in your diary?"Stinky asked causing Claudette to viciously grab his ear threatening to tear it off "What have i told you about looking in my diary?!"Claudette hissed with clenched teeth.
"Claudette let your brother's ear go please."Kate said firmly making Claudette let go of Stinky's ear, Humphrey looked at Fleet with a little suspicious expression that made Fleet a little nervous "North Forest Middle School huh, I went there myself good school, although our soccer team could've used a better coach."Humphrey said "Our team does have a better coach sir my Dad he's lead the team to victory multiple times."Fleet said proudly.
"It's true Dad those pups aren't nothing to scoff at, they almost defeated us that one game."Stinky said "Oh yeah i remember that."Humphrey said with a little frown "Who is your father?"Kate asked curious"His name is Nars."Fleet said making Kate and Lilly's eyes lit up hearing that name "Nars?!"They said in unison with surprise in their voice just then another masculine voice spoke up "Hey fleet what's the...?" the group was approached by a male wolf that had a athletic body that rivaled Garth's and he had the same fur color as Fleet, he had teal colored eyes and was wearing black swim trunks then another pup walked up to him this pup was female, she looked about the same age as Fleet and hand the same fur color and was wearing a green one peace swimsuit and her eyes were green.
"Kate is that you?"Nars said with a little smile looking at Kate who gave him a smile although it was fake "Nars how are you?" she asked "I'm doing well."Nars say then he glanced at Lilly and saw she was wearing her hair back "Lilly your wearing your hair back."He pointed out "Yes a special someone said I'd look more beautiful this way."Lilly said with a smile as she held Garth's hand Nars gave them a condescending smile "I see."Nars said turning away from Garth and Lilly who gave him dirty offended looks after sensing the condescension in his voice.
"Kate i heard you got married."Nars said as Humphrey wrapped his arm around her shoulder "That's correct she's happily married to me."Humphrey said with a proud smile as he kissed Kate's cheek Nars eyed Humphrey with a snobbish smile "Hmm well kate i suppose you could've done worse."he said making Kate narrow her eyes a little bit at that insult.
Then Nars turned to Fleet "Let's go Fleet, let's leave these people alone."Nars said "it was nice seeing you again Claudette."Fleet said making Claudette smile warmly "You too,bye Magril."Claudette said waving to the girl who waved back and she and Fleet left with Nars.
Lilly let out a little scoff watching Nars leave, "Ugh I completely forgot how much of a jerk he was." she said with disgust "I know still as immature as ever."Kate said with a scornful look "how do you two know him?"Garth asked "Me and Lilly went to the same middle school as him,he was a little bit popular and MVP on our soccer team, I'm ashamed to say that I...had a slight crush on him."Kate said taking Humphrey by surprise "Did you know him Dad?"Runt asked.
"No son I went to a different middle school than your mother."Humphrey said "Luckily i dodged a bullet because I saw Nars for what he truly was:a big obnoxious jerk."Kate said with a little smile Humphrey glanced over at Nars who was tossing the frisbee around to his son and daughter that was when his eyes went on Fleet and a look of distrust flew on his face "Claudette I don't want you anywhere near that Fleet kid."Humphrey said firmly making Claudette look at him greatly shocked and offended "Dad..?"
"Humphrey wait.."Kate said looking at Humphrey who shook his head "Kate you saw how that jerkwad spoke to us,what if Fleet starts acting just like him, you know the old saying: like father like son?"
"Honey that's not always true, my mom is an overprotective psychopath,but you don't see me or Lilly having random moments of rage do you?"Kate asked Humphrey didn't answer that "obviously Claudette likes Fleet and wants to have a friendship with him, let's not ruin this for her."Kate said calmly making Humphrey sighed "who knows Humphrey maybe Fleet will become the complete opposite of Nars."Kate said making Humphrey nod his head slightly just then Stinky spoke looking at Claudette "Well Claudette looks like your relationship with your boyfriend Fleet is safe,now you can play the kissy snout game with him."Stinky said with a grin making Claudette grit her teeth in anger "Why you little...!"Claudette roared as she grabbed Stinky by his neck strangling him, Kate face palmed herself while Runt attempted to pull Claudette away from Stinky.
