Chapter 1: Celebrating Yoko Rie's Birthday
Giselle had woken up as she grabbed her phone and saw that today is her girlfriend's birthday. Giselle gasped as she looked around her room and realized that Yoko wasn't in bed. Giselle sighed with relief as she texted her friends in the group chat.
Zombae Gal: "Gals! Today's Yoko's Birthday! I might take her out on a date so can you ladies like you know? Throw her a party please!?" Giselle begged as she used the pleading emojis
Lil Glue: "Yeah I guess. But where is she? Did you just wake up?"
Zombae Gal: "I did. I'll text her. :)"
PinkyMinnie: "Can we invite Izaya & Gremmy over? If I remember correctly, Izaya loves parties! :D"
LuvBambi: "YES! Gigi, we'll text Izaya while you & Yoko go out somewhere. Okay~? :)"
Zombae Gal: "Sure thing gals~!"
Giselle got out of bed as she grabbed a pair of change of clothes and headed to the restroom to wash up. She then texted Yoko as Yoko was outside, watering the plants.
"Hey love~! I'm just outside in the backyard. What's up?" Yoko sent the text as she waited for a reply.
Giselle stripped out of her clothes as she put on a face mask and read the text Yoko had replied back.
"I was wondering, since today's your birthday, happy birthday btw ;) Do you wanna go on a date today? Just me and you? Nobody else. It's on me.~" Giselle sent the text as she stepped into the shower.
Yoko gasped at the text. "YES! Yes babe~! I wanna go into a few stores to buy some new collections. OH! I also wanna see a movie. Is that okay, love?" Yoko happily sent the text as she waited for a reply.
Yoko turned off the water hose as she wrapped it up and sat down waiting for a text from Giselle. Giselle washed her hair using her favorite shampoo. She then sighed as she looked up at the ceiling. As the shower water hit her face as the face mask was slowly coming off. She shrugged as she washed her body using her favorite lavender body wash. Yoko looked down at her phone as she had received many messages from her family back in London wishing her a happy birthday. Yoko replied back to all of them as she gave used many pink hearts and smiley faces emojis. Giselle then turned off the water as she stepped out of the shower and grabbed her towel as she dried herself off. She tapped on her phone as Yoko replied back to her.
"Yes babe, we can do that too~! I don't mind as long as it makes YOU happy~! That's all that matters.~" Giselle replied back as she dried herself off.
Yoko smiled at the text. "Well, if you're ready then I'm outside in the backyard. We can leave by then." Yoko said as she sighed happily.
"Hey Yoko, I've heard that today's your birthday? Well happy birthday! I hope you're having a good day so far." Izaya sent the text as he used many smiley emojis.
"Oh my gosh! Thank you Izaya! That means a lot to me." Yoko replied back to him as she looked over as she smiled seeing Giselle outside.
"Hi babe~! Wow you look so damn cute~!" Yoko squealed as she walked up to Giselle and hugged her happily.
Giselle giggled and hugged her back as she kissed her cheek. "The gals are just getting up. So let's go ahead and ditch them. Off to our date my birthday babe~!" Giselle said happily as she held hands with Yoko and the two walked off to the bus stop to head to the mall.
Izaya and Gremmy had approached the Femritters home as Gremmy knocked and waited as he held hands with Izaya. Meninas answered as she smiled at them.
"You're here! Yay. I believe the lovebirds are gone. Oh well, but please come on in~!" Meninas said happily as she let her two friends in.
Giselle and Yoko stopped at the mall as they both got off of the bus and walked inside the mall. It was quiet as not many stores were open just yet. Some food courts were open. Giselle sighed sadly as Yoko looked at her and smiled.
"It's okay love. I know you wanted to get out of the house for a little bit to hang out with me. But hey look, the movie is about to play in another thirty minutes. Wanna see it then we can shop?" Yoko asked Giselle as she smiled at her.
Giselle smiled as she nodded. "Of course babe.~ Let's buy a large popcorn too. Oh, do you want to buy candy from there or at a mini mart?" Giselle asked Yoko just to make sure.
"Let's buy it from the movies. I'll be okay." Yoko said as she smiled at her as the two walked off to the movies.
Izaya, Gremmy, and the Femritters were all helping with decorating for Yoko's birthday.
"Once she gets home she's going to be so thrilled at the decorations~!" Meninas said very happily.
"I think that should do. Uh, what about cake?" Izaya asked them again.
"I think Yoko likes cupcakes. And we've already ordered them. Do you mind heading to the market and pick them up please?" Liltotto asked Izaya kindly.
Izaya gulped as he looked at Gremmy. Gremmy smiled at him.
"Go on love. I'll be here." Gremmy told him as he smiled at Izaya.
Izaya smiled as he hugged Gremmy and walked out of the Femritters house. He then realized that he didn't have a birthday card for Yoko. So he headed inside the market and walked into the party area to look for a birthday card. The Femritters were all done decorating as they were all now taking a break as they waited for Izaya to come back with the cupcakes. Izaya spent another ten minutes walking around the market as he brought a few gifts for Yoko. He then walked to the bakery as he picked up the cupcakes for Yoko. Izaya paid for everything as he headed to the park to wrap up the gifts. He then signed the card as he sighed a bit. Seeing the ghostly people in the park as some were just laughing or sleeping. Izaya gave them a warm smile as he left the park and headed back to the Femritters house. Izaya put in his wireless earbuds as he was listening to music. He didn't even notice that two sternritters were outside of their apartment as one of them grinned as he stood up.
"Leave him alone. If you go over and mess with him, he'll call in his crew. Did you not hear me?" a man with blond hair said as he sighed trying to stop his friend from going after Izaya.
"Oh shut the hell up.~ I'm bored. And there's no one to tease.~ You're boring me anyways." The man said as he threw out his cigarette and walked up to Izaya.
The blond man sighed as he stood up and walked behind the pink haired mohawk guy. Izaya looked up as he stopped walking and took out his earbuds as he put them in his pocket. The blond man grinned as he got in front of Izaya.
"Please, I don't want any trouble." Izaya said as he stayed calm.
"Awww, come on.~ Don't wanna smoke with us for a bit~?" The guy said as he walked in circles.
"I….I don't smoke. Please leave me alone." Izaya said as he stayed calm, walking back.
The guy touched Izaya's hair and sniffed it. He moaned as he rolled his eyes.
"Damn.~ You smell pretty good.~ What kind of shampoo do you use~?" The man asked Izaya as he pinned Izaya to a tree.
"Bazz-B! That's enough! Get back over here and let's go home!" The blond haired guy said as he folded his arms.
"You shut your trap, Jugram! For once can't I have any damn fun?!" Bazz-B groaned as he noticed that Izaya had gotten away.
Bazz-B stopped Izaya as Izaya tripped and fell down as he gasped. The cupcakes and the gifts for Yoko had flown out of his arms. Izaya crawled to them as Bazz-B grabbed the gifts. Izaya gasped as he looked at him.
"Please don't touch them! They're for a friend." Izaya said as he began to tear up.
"Shaddup! Damn. I thought you soul reapers were strong as hell, but you're just a crybaby. I'm just lookin.' Whoa. What the fuck are these? Stupid ass melting smiley stickers? Junk." Bazz-B said as he took out the stickers and threw them on the ground.
Izaya watched as he took out his phone and texted Gremmy and the Femritters for help. Izaya stood up as he grabbed the cupcakes. Bazz-B took out another item as he shook his head.
"Isn't this band dead or some shit? I highly doubt anyone listens to their music in this day and age. Shit." Bazz-B said as he threw the shirt.
Izaya sighed as he looked at his phone and texted back his friends. Bazz-B then picked out another item as he snarled at them.
"Dude, you done goofed, got the most stupidest shit you've brought for….for…..who these for?" Bazz-B asked Izaya as he looked at him.
"It's none of your business. Please return those to me right now. It's not going to be pretty." Izaya said as he gave Bazz-B a glare.
Bazz-B looked at Izaya as he grinned. "Oh, is that how it's going to be, huh? Fine. You asked for it." Bazz-B said as he cracked his knuckles and charged towards Izaya.
Izaya looked at him as he was about to perform a kido spell but he heard a grunt from Bazz-B as Izaya looked at him.
"You should really learn how to leave others alone, when they are minding their down god damn business, Ass-B!" Liltotto said as she gave him a glare.
Bazz-B groaned as he looked at Liltotto who just punched him. He sat up and flipped her off. Liltotto glared at him as she walked backwards and stood by Izaya.
"Here. I'm sorry for his behavior. Please leave immediately. I don't want any trouble." Jugram said as he had returned the items to Izaya and bowed.
"You know, there's a thing called breaking up with your asshole boyfriend and finding someone better than him." Liltotto said as she looked at Jugram.
"Don't go there, Lil. Please leave." Jugram said as he kneeled to check Bazz-B's face.
Izaya and the Femritters all left the scene as they walked back to their house as Bazz-B slapped Jugram's hand off him as he stood up.
"I'm fuckin' fine. God. You're just like that brat, Izaya." Bazz-B said as he walked back to their apartment.
Jugram sighed as he followed behind him to their apartment. Izaya watched them leave as he spaced out. Meninas put her hand on his shoulder as she gave him a warm smile. Izaya looked at her as he smiled back and they all headed back to their home. Over an hour later, Giselle and Yoko came out of the movies as they walked back inside the mall. There were more people and the stores were all open. Yoko smiled happily as she looked at Giselle who was distracted and looking at somebody else. Yoko put her hand on her shoulder as Giselle jumped up a bit and looked at Yoko.
"Hey honey pie, are you okay? Do you see Izaya or something?" Yoko asked her lover as she had a worried look on her face.
Giselle looked at her as she looked back to see who she saw. Yoko looked over as she saw Ikkaku and Yumichika at the mall, ordering food. Yoko nodded as she got in front of her.
"Don't worry about them. Okay sweetie? You're safe with me. Come on, let's just walk around and-" Yoko gasped as she got interrupted by Ikkaku calling out to them.
Giselle looked over as she gave them a glare. Ikkaku and Yumichika walked up to them as they both bowed.
"Ayo, aren't you two friends with Izaya?" Ikkaku asked them.
"Yes we are. We're sorry but we haven't seen him all day. We just got here and-" Yoko got interrupted when Yumichika held up his hand.
"Hang on. He actually told us that he was coming here to celebrate your birthday. I just wanna wish you a happy birthday. And you." Yumichika said as he looked over at Giselle.
Giselle glared at Yumichika as she formed a fist. Her heart was pounding a lot but she stayed calm as she took some deep breaths. Ikkaku pinched Yumichika's ass as Yumichika weeped and sighed.
"I wish to apologize to you. For disrespecting you. I'm sorry." Yumichika said as he bowed to her.
Giselle and Yoko both looked at each other as Yoko lifted up Yumichika's chin to have him face her.
"Did Izaya tell you to apologize to my girl?" Yoko asked him as she tilted her head.
"No. I just wanted to apologize to…her because I was rude and disrespectful towards her. I'm sorry." Yumichika said again as he bowed.
Yoko looked at Giselle as Giselle shrugged and nodded.
"All is forgiven. I'm okay." Giselle said as she popped her gum.
"Why don't you ladies come with us? Are you two hungry? I'll pay. And what's yer name?" Ikkaku said as he asked Yoko.
"My name's Yoko Rie. I'm from London." Yoko told Ikkaku as she smiled at him.
"Alright then, Yoko. First of all, happy birthday, second, come on. It's on me." Ikkaku offered as he held onto Yumichika's hand and they walked off.
Giselle held onto Yoko's hand as they followed them to pick out whatever food they wanted to have. Ikkaku paid for their food as Yumichika found an empty seat for them as he sat down. He waited for Ikkaku. Giselle got her food first as she turned around and gasped. She's still a little nervous around Yumichika as she just waited for Yoko to get her food. Then Giselle's phone went off as she rolled her eyes. She had no choice but to sit across from Yumichika to check her phone. Yumichika only looked at her once then looked away as he kept his eyes focused on Ikkaku. Giselle stayed quiet as she checked her phone.
Zombae Gal: "Gals, chill! Me & Yoko just got out of the movies & we're just getting food. We'll be home after. Are the party decorations set up?" Giselle sent the text as she ate a french fry. She noticed that Yumichika hadn't even touched his food yet as she tilted her head.
Giselle gulped as she wanted to ask if he was going to eat now or else his food would get cold.
"Hey, you. Aren't you going to eat? It'll get cold if you don't." Giselle said to him as she smiled a bit at him.
"I will. I'm just waiting for Ikkaku to get his. I think that the cashier got their food wrong or something." Yumichika said as he had his focus on Ikkaku, Yoko, and the cashier.
Giselle looked over as she gasped. Seeing Niaznol on the cashier as he was struggling again. Giselle stood up as she ran to him. Yumichika watched her as he tilted his head in confusion. Giselle walked up to Nianzol as she tried to help him.
"Is the cash register broken again?" Giselle asked Nianzol as she tapped on the buttons.
"Iz won'f worf." Nianzol said as he had been crying. Dealing with customers yelling at him all day.
Giselle looked at him as she had Yoko come help them. Yoko got in front of them as she looked at Nianzol's tag and typed down the password as the register was now working again. Yoko smiled at him as the orders were ready to be ordered. Yoko stepped out as she hugged Giselle.
"Everytime Yumichika and I come here, it's always broken or some shit. Also what did you just do?" Ikkaku asked Yoko as he looked at her.
"I typed down his password. That's all. He's new. Please be patient with him. He's still learning." Yoko told him as she smiled.
"You and Izaya have something in common. You two are very kind souls." Ikkaku told her as he smiled.
Yoko smiled as Nianzol called out for Ikkaku's food. Ikkaku grinned as he walked up to him to get it. Giselle smiled as she sat back down as she noticed that Yumichika had touched his food as it was half way gone. She then checked her phone as she had plenty of messages.
Zombae Gal: "Okay gals chill! Literally, we'll be home after dinner. Okay?"
Giselle sighed as she put her phone down. Yumichika noticed as he looked at her. Seeing that Giselle had a more annoyed look on her face than a silly goofy face that he had seen during the Thousand Year Blood War Battle.
Yumichika cleared his throat as it caught Giselle's attention as she looked at him.
"Are you alright? I'm asking because you seemed annoyed about something." Yumichika asked her.
Giselle sighed. "Sometimes my friends like to rush things. They're all done decorating for Yoko's party and they want us home already. I told them that they need to chill and let us eat because I'm damn sure we don't want to eat cupcakes when we get back." Giselle vented as she sighed.
Yumichika nodded as he saw Yoko and Ikkaku sitting down with their food and drinks.
"Sorry about that love. He got my order wrong but the birthday girl here helped him to get it right. So we're good now." Ikkaku said as he kissed Yumichika's cheek.
Yumichika smiled as he continued eating his food as Giselle smiled a bit and ate hers as she checked her phone. She saw that Izaya had messaged her privately as she opened the message.
"Hey, I'm sorry that your friends are rushing you guys. I've hid their phones and they are looking for them. ;) so they'll leave you alone till you ladies get back." Izaya texted Giselle using smiley faces emojis.
"You literally stole their phones and hid them hidden in your bag or some shit. You are so damn sneaky Izaya, but they are going to be so pissed off. So I'll be careful If I were you." Giselle replied back to Izaya as she used grinning emojis.
"It's okay. I told them to leave you and Yoko alone. So go ahead and enjoy yourselves." Izaya texted her back.
Giselle read the message as she put her phone away and continued eating her food as she noticed that Yumichika and Ikkaku were done. Yoko was slowly taking her time.
"Listen, ladies. If you want we can shop with you and you two can buy whatever you want. It's on us." Ikkaku told them as he gave them a smile.
Giselle looked at Yoko as Yoko smiled and nodded at them. Ikkaku smiled as he got up and threw away his tray along with Yumichika. Yoko noticed that Giselle had an upset look on her face.
"Hey love, are you okay? If you want we can go home if you're feeling uncomfortable around them." Yoko asked her as she rubbed her shoulder.
"I'm alright, love. But let's shop around for a bit. Maybe we can meet more of Izaya's friends here." Giselle told her as she smiled at her.
Yoko smiled as they two got up and threw away their trays and drinks as they walked with both Ikkaku and Yumichika to a few stores to buy some stuff. The four all walked around and brought a lot of things from ten malls. When they came out of the mall they noticed that the sun was about to head down. They looked at Ikkaku and Yumichika as they smiled at them.
"Welp, we have to go now or else my friends may have burned down our home for being out for so long." Giselle said as she giggled.
"Of course. Wait, honey don't you wanna see a movie or something? I mean we don't have to go back home just yet." Ikkaku told Yumichika as he smiled.
"You know what? Yeah. It's been a long time since we've seen a movie together. Let's go hon. And happy birthday once again, Yoko." Yumichika said as he smiled at her.
"Thank you. You two have fun." Yoko said as she held onto Giselle's hand and they all walked off.
Giselle took out her phone as she texted Izaya. "We're on our way home. Have them hide please.~" Giselle sent the text as she smiled at Yoko.
Yoko smiled back at her as she giggled. "Thank you for taking me out, love. I really had a fun time. I just wish….you know…." Yoko sighed sadly as she rubbed her belly.
Giselle sighed and nodded. "I understand. I think we've rushed it. Let's just wait till we are fully ready, okay babe?" Giselle said as she kissed Yoko's cheek.
They arrived home as they both took a deep breath and opened the door. It was dark inside as Yoko walked inside and looked around.
"Okay gals. We are home now." Yoko said but no answer.
Giselle then flipped on the lights as everyone jumped up and shouted: "SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YOKO!" Very happily as Yoko stepped back and gasped as she began to laugh.
"Oh my gosh~! You gals! Thank you! This is so freakin' cool~!" Yoko said happily as Giselle hugged her from behind.
"I see you lovebirds had a lot of fun at the mall today, but I hope this is a lot funner than ever.~" Liltotto said as she pointed at the table that had cupcakes, goodie bags, gifts cards, and presents.
Yoko smiled at them as she hugged Liltotto. "Thank you gals so much! Izaya. Gremmy. I can see you two.~" Yoko said as she teased them under the table.
"Damn.~ She caught us, love." Gremmy said as he crawled out and hugged Yoko.
"Happy birthday. Also, did you see Nianzol at his job today?" Gremmy asked her as he smiled.
"Yes we did. He had trouble with the register but I helped him. He should be off soon and then he'll be on his way here." Yoko told him as she smiled.
"That's good. Now, how about we sing you a 'happy birthday' so we can have a cupcake or two~?" Gremmy said as he chuckled.
Yoko smiled as she stood by the cupcakes as Bambietta lit up the candles. Everyone was surrounded by her as they all sang 'happy birthday' to Yoko. Yoko smiled as she closed her eyes and leaned to the candles and blew them out. Everyone clapped as she handed everyone a cupcake and some punch. Giselle looked down at her phone as she noticed that Nianzol had texted her.
"Are you almost home? We have a cupcake saved for you." Giselle sent the text as she sat on the couch with Yoko.
"I'm lost. But I'll be there." Nianzol texted Giselle as he was shaking. He then heard a stick breaking as Nianzol looked back and gasped.
Seeing two tall figures. One had a mask on as the other tall figure approached Nianzol. Nianzol tried to run as he got caught.
"Oh no no. Don't run little one.~ You see, we need you for our plan and you are vulnerable and dumb. Now come on. And if you scream, we're cutting your tongues off." He said as he had a knife on Nianzol's throat.
Nianzol nodded as he began to cry. Then the two tall figures took off as the party had ended when Yoko opened up her gifts as she thanked everyone. Izaya and Gremmy hugged Yoko one last time as they walked out of their home.
"Oh girls! Here you go." Izaya set down another bag on the couch as he left with Gremmy.
Liltotto walked up to it as she gasped seeing their phones. "Izaya! You damn jackass!" Liltotto screamed out as Izaya and Gremmy were laughing their asses off.
After everyone had calmed down, Yoko was outside, vaping as she was texting Nianzol but she hadn't gotten anything. Giselle came outside as she sat next to her lover.
"What's going on, love? Did Izaya make it home safely?" Giselle asked her as she put her head on Yoko's shoulder.
"Babe, I'm worried. Nianzol hasn't texted me after he texted me after I received this from him. I'm not sure what it means." Yoko said as she showed Giselle the message that Nianzol sent her.
It reads 'they got me.' Giselle and Yoko looked at each other.
"Do you think he got kidnapped by 'Your Majesty'?" Yoko asked her lover in concern.
"No way love. He's gone. Dead gone. It's impossible for him to come back and kidnap Nianzol or anyone else. I think Nianzol is just playing with us. Maybe he meant Gremmy got him home safely. We did give them a few extra cupcakes. I'm sure Gremmy will text us, okay?" Giselle said as she kissed Yoko's cheek.
"I'll be in bed waiting for you, birthday girl.~" Giselle said as she blew a kiss to Yoko.
Yoko smiled as she turned around and sighed. She had a bad feeling about this as she screen recorded the messages and sent the video to Gremmy and Izaya.
"You guys, I think something happened to Nianzol. I'm having a bad feeling about this." Yoko sent the text as she stood up and looked up at the sky. She sighed as she looked back once more. Not seeing a boy with black hair.
Yoko then looked down as she saw a white dandelion flower as she picked up. She closed her eyes. "Please have Nianzol come home safe and sound." Yoko said as she blew the flower as she watched the small petals fly away. Yoko smiled a bit as she walked back inside her home to get in bed with Giselle. Yoko plugged in her phone as she cuddled up with her lover, Giselle. Giselle smiled as she kissed Yoko's hair.
"Happy birthday, my love.~" Giselle said to Yoko as she smiled at her.
Yoko smiled back. "Thanks baby." Yoko said as she looked at her phone one last time, hoping that Nianzol is alright at home, safe and sound.
