"It's amazing how fast life can change." Kirito says to himself as he looks at the worlds that have human colonies slowly growing in them.
For a long time it felt as if no matter where Aincrad went, it could only find worlds that were either being attacked, were about to end, or a combination of the two.
At first, everyone argued about allowing the people of the first world that they found into Aincrad, but in the end, no one wanted to know the feeling of what it felt to see an entire world full of people die, so the players allowed the Humans of that world into Aincrad.
And so every time Aincrad jumped, it found another version of Earth, or maybe those worlds were named something else, but in the end, it didn't matter.
If the planets had any resources that were still useful, then Aincrad would take it and leave behind everything else.
Kirito didn't bother to think about how many times they had to do that.
There's a feeling or some sort of block that a person creates in their mind to ignore the situation that they're in if he had to compare it to something.
Then he would say that it's similar to someone that survives nearly being crushed by a building when an earthquake happens or someone that just barely avoided beings seriously injured by a bomb.
Sometimes those people would either just stand there trying to understand what's going on, even as the world around them is in chaos, or they just sit there not knowing what to do.
Everyone had their issues to deal with.
The Players it was knowing that they would never see their version of Earth again.
For everyone else, it was knowing that their versions of Earth were gone and that they were the last people from their worlds.
"And now we have to deal with this." Kirito says to himself before he sends activates the alarm and begins to warn everyone in the colonies and in Aincrad to prepare themselves in case whoever was inside those ships decides to attack.
"This is Kirito; there is a fleet coming towards us; everyone prepares yourselves if we have to fight." he says to everyone.
Because they had taken everything useful from those worlds, Aincrad had a lot of technology and weapons that it didn't have before, so he was sure that it could defend itself.
As odd as it seemed, no one argued about leaving all of those weapons in it, as everyone agreed that if something were to happen and everyone needed to pack their things and leave, then, Aincrad would have to be able to protect itself.
Everyone hoped that that day would never come, and if it did, then it would be someday far away when everyone thought that the stories of their lost worlds became just that stories.
Kirito took a deep breath Aincrad wasn't defenseless, and neither were the people in the colonies or Aincrad, but he didn't want to have to fight again, at least not anytime soon.
"Attention, unidentified fleet, you are entering our space; stop or change course, or we will consider you a threat." Kirito says to the approaching fleet as Aincrad sends the signal to whoever is in control of the fleet.
The Watchman that's what everyone calls the job that he is doing.
It was believed to be a pointless job, its space, the chances that someone would find them were small, and until now, none of the earth's that they found were ever being invaded by aliens.
"Why did it have to be me?" Kirito says to himself as he notices that the fleet is slowing down.
The images that appear on the screen grow as the cameras zoom in, and Kirito can see that all of the ships seem to be damaged, as if they were fighting a war.
"This is Admiral Maria of the Refugy Fleet Pegasus; we are not a threat."
"I repeat, we are not a threat." the voice of a woman answers him.
The lights in the room change as Aincrad begins to change so that it can make communication with the fleet easier.
Soon, the image of a blond woman that looks like an American appears on the screen.
Kirito can see the shock on the woman's face, as well as the shock that's on the faces of the rest of her crew.
"Admiral, before we say anything else, tell me everything, and then we will talk."
"So let's start from the beginning. Why are you here?"
"Who are you" and everything else."
For a long moment, Kirito watched as Maria kept quiet, let out a breath that seemed filled with defeat, and she began to tell him her people's story.
Maria revealed that the people in the fleet were running away from an alien race called the Minbari.
He listened to how the Minbari destroyed the earth and every way that the colonies could defend themselves before they began to kill the civilian populations on those worlds.
The only reason that the fleet even existed was that Earth had evacuated as many people as they could, and the ships that looked as if they were completely different were from the few friends that Humanity had that risked their lives to rescue as many people in the colonies as they could.
Those friends are gone now, and the people in the fleet don't know if those Alien Races will be punished for helping them escape.
When he asked them if they tried to surrender or tried to calm the Minbari down somehow, Maria and her crew formed their hands into fists or laughed sarcastically before looking at him with hate-filled eyes.
'They didn't care about us surrendering. They want to exterminate all Humans." Maria answers him with a voice filled with as much hate as it was filled with defeat.
Kirito looked at the screen next to him. Everyone, both in Aincrad and in the colonies, had heard the story and seen the videos that the fleet had sent while Maria told him everything she could remember.
the guild Leaders had already given their approval, but the governments of the colonies wanted the fleet to agree on the same thing they had.
Aincrad had to survive because it had already proven to be able to grow as much as it had to and could save everyone fit had to.
"We will allow you and your people to colonize some of the worlds here or set up your own colonies in the worlds that we are living in so that you can start over."
"In exchange, you have to hand over all of your technology so that we can study it, and in exchange, you will have access to ours so that you can do the same." Kirito says to Mria, who immediately agrees.
"One last thing Admiral, under no circumstances are any of you to go back and look for a fight."
"If the Minbari are as dangerous as you say they are, then we need to build up our defenses before they show up here." Kirito says to the Admiral, who nods before the screen goes black.
