Legion's Reign Season 01 Episode 06
We start off seeing Albedo walking along one of the outer platforms at the higher up parts of the Legion Clubhouse. Once at the edge he'd leaned agains it with a sigh as Phantom Girl had come to see what's bothering him. "Something on your mind?"
"Just thinking about things." He'd stated to her looking out over at the city watching as people went about their daily lives.
"Malware Seven to Command, we've just intercepted a priority one distress call. It's time for your first official mission as leader of the legion." Mal called out over the coms annoying the two of them about this having to happen now.
We then cut to them using the Cruiser and flying thorugh space as the information was being displayed on screen and Malware Seven was explaining the situation to everyone. "The signal came from this moon Cheyenne Delta."
"I thought the Cheyenne system was uninhabited." Phantom Girl stated about where they were headed towards.
"It is, which makes it the perfect location for this." Mal explained pulling up an image of some sort of strange building.
"The Fenton Arms Depo." Cosmic Boy stated seeing the building up on screen in front of them right now.
"Fenton? I knew some Ghost Hunters and half Ghosts with the name Fenton back in my time." Albedo stated to them about the name Fenton.
"It's max security storage for the many dangerous weapons left over from the great crisis." Mal then added about what this place is. "We'll know more once we get into the systems."
Albedo nodded and we then cut to them all going to help where they'd stepped onto an elevator and began heading down to the lower levels as Mal was tapping into the systems so that they could have a more clear picture of what's going on.
"It's a category nine containment failure. One of the devices stored here has been reactivated and according to the gaurds it's now on the move." Mal explained to them about what's happening right now.
"How's securty holding up?" Questioned Albedo as they were continuing to make their way down by the elevator.
"Automatic Baracades have been activated for each level. We've reached level four and are now locked in, and so's the device." Mal stated about how things are going currently for what's going on.
"What exactly are we dealing with here?" Phantom Girl questioned seeing the robot guards had been taken out.
"Classified, not even the guards know." Answered back Malware 7 stating that he wasn't exactly sure what's happening and they'd turned to Albedo waiting for him to give the order.
"Split up into pairs and look for anything that might give us a clue as to what's going on, but be careful." Albedo told the team about what they should be doing and they'd nodded going off to check out the maze of stuff around them.
They'd done just that and Bouncing Boy went with triplicate girl to check out one of the things finding their path split into three and he'd drawn an X on the floor of one of them as the two were heading off in that direction to mark which path they'd taken and which one they didn't.
Lightning Lad had gone with Saturn Girl and were looking around as he'd used his hand to hold a chage acting as a light source looking around as he'd thought he'd heard something but finding nothing behind them. Chalking it up to his imagination they continued to check around the place.
The thing had flown past Cosmic Boy and Ferro Lad and started to force it's way through the levels as Phantom Girl was with Mal and saw the strange device.
"Oh no, this thing can not get out of here, we need to take it down!" Mal spoke about whatever this thing was.
"I got this one." Albedo called hitting the Duotrix and changing into a form that was small and green calling out "Upchuck!"
He'd then sent out three tongues and they'd wrapped around it launching him towards the device but it'd zapped him forcing them to let go before he could swallow it and the others tried what they could but it managed to escape them despite their efforts to contain it.
"What was that thing?" Bouncing Boy questioned about just what they'd been looking at exactly.
"The most devastating weapon this galaxy has ever seen, that's was a sun eater." Mal explained to them about what exactly they were dealing with.
They'd followed after it in the ship as Triplicate Girl was explaining "The sun eater's core is heavily shielded and the gas cloud around it is lethal it's heading straight for Cheyenne Prime."
"I've got other transformations that may work to take it down." Albedo stated to them as they'd been following it.
"The device is capable of devouering an entire star." Saturn Girl stated about what they were going after.
"Maybe I can shut it down with Upgrade, problem is Upgrade isn't fast enough to catch up to that thing." The acting leader stated to the crew about trying to shut it down.
"The sun eater was a weapon created by the controllers, right now it's slightly vulnerable since it's on reserve power but if it gets to the red sun it'll become too strong to stop." Mal stated to them.
"Nothing is too powerful to stop with the right tools." Albedo stated to them still sure they could handle it.
As they were about to get to work the light drive had gone out allowing the sun eater to get some distance between them. "Not today asshole." Albedo called and changed into his mechamorph form again calling "Upgrade!" and then fused with the ship upgrading and kickstarting the ship.
"Cosmic Boy, get to the engine bay, we've got a stow away, and take Triplicate Girl and Bouncing Boy with you. I want you two to work on repairing it while we're flying. The rest of you brainstorm ideas on how to deal with the sun eater." Upgrade told the crew and Cosmic Boy had gone to do just that.
When he got there Upgrade wrapped part of himself around the legs of the intruder and Cosmic Boy crushed it with his powers and the others were trying to figure out what was the best course of action as he'd brought it up to the cockpit.
"Mal, you recognize this thing?" He'd questioned showing them the damaged robot in hand hoping he had some sort of idea.
"I don't know what it is, but I've got an idea of just who exactly might have sent it." Malware 7 answered back about the robot.
"Triplicate Girl, Bouncing Boy had managed to get everything fixed and Upgrade unfused from the ship and changed back to human form as they were checking out information on the stow away.
"So, we're dealing with one of the the controllers?" Cosmic Boy stated while looking at the scematic in thought.
"But the controllers are the ones that locked away the sun eater, why would one of them want to reactivate it?" Saturn Girl questioned about the situation.
"Unknown, the Controllers' motivations have been what some would consider extreme." Mal answered back to them while working on the systems.
"We're a little beyond extreme here." Phantom Girl stated about the situation at hand right now.
"I've reconfigured the systems so that nothing the controller sends will be able to sneak up on us again." Mal stated closing a hatch that he'd been working on.
"We've got a visual on the sun eater, and it's increased in size." Triplicate Girl stated pulling up the visuals on screen zooming out as far as she could.
"Battle stations, Bouncy, you're the best pilot we got get to the pilots chair." Albedo called as they'd all went off to their stations and sat in their chairs.
"We're too late." Triplicate Girl called out as the cloud had wrapped around Cheyenne Prime and caused things to start to go darker than they were already.
"DAMN IT!" Albedo yelled out hitting the arm of his chair and activated the Duotrix "You guys keep trying to find some way to take this thing down. I'm gonna try to stop that thing." He'd then hit the Duotrix and changed into a white ghostlike form calling "Ghostfreak."
He'd then flown out of the ship and once out hit the symbol calling "Atomix!" before flying off faster into the cloud as the others were deciding a course of action.
"Haa-mee-na haa-mee-na haa-mee-na HA!" Atomix called out charing the energies up inside of his body as the clear parts began to glow a bright green color before calling out "NUCLEAR WINNER!" and fired out a superpowerful blast that shot out from both ends of the cloud.
This had left the sun eater pausing for a moment but then starting to go onto the move again and it continued to try to drain the sun to power it's form.
" Where do you think you're going?" Atomix questioned the sun eater before calling out Haa-mee-na haa-mee-na haa-mee-na HA!" once more charing the energies up inside of his body with the clear parts glowing again and then calling out "NUCLEAR WINNER!" unleashing another superpowerful blast that shot out from both ends of the cloud.
The rest of the Legion that were there had been watching as shot after shot and blast after blast was fired off by Atomix leaving the machine crackling as it had been damaged with Atomix on the inside starting to look tired out and tride to unleash another blast with this one being less powerful. It was clear to those watching that Atomix was starting to drain himself and the sun eater had moved on to wherever they went for repairs.
The others watched the sun eater moving away and see that Atomix was floating there in space as he'd been just floating there with his arms and legs dangling and in a green flash changed back to Albedo.
"That.. was terrifying." Malware 7 stating having been the first to break the silence as the sun eater had left the red sun only slightly drained.
Phantom Girl phased out of the cruiser and flown off going towards the newly appointed leader worriedly calling out "ALBEDO!"
