Legion's Reign Season 02 Episode 01
We start off with Malware 7 walking out of a room looking a bit older and having his hair cut a bit shorter now looking around and seeing Lightning Lad with Triplicate Girl and Timberwolf who also looked older and more muscular along with a new kid called Cameleon Boy.
"Have any of you seen Albedo? I want to go over the scematics of the new device I've been working on going off of the scans of the Duotrix." Mal questioned the group that were there outside the doors.
"Eh, you know the boss man. He's up top with Phantom Girl again, doing that, whad did he call it again?" Lightning Lad began to state but lost train of thought trying to remember what it was they were doing.
"People watching." Triplicate Girl answered back about what he'd called what they were doing up there.
"Is that what they're calling it?" Timberwolf questioned as a they'd floated back down the floor having a different idea of just what they're doing.
Suddenly what appeared to be a portal appared and meanwhile Albedo was up top with Phantom Girl as the two had appeared older in age with new outfits as well. They were relaxing together as both were sitting on the railing with Phantom Girl's back pressed up against his chest as they were just watching the city go by.
The two had looked towards one another and moved just slightly so that their faces were closer and closed their eyes leaning towards one another when Malware 7's voice came over the intercom system. "Malware Seven to Command, we have a new mission to attend. You're gonna wanna see this."
The two let out a sigh and had gotten up heading inside to find someone there in a red and blue costume standing in front of them and a few other Legionairs waiting to have a chat with them about something.
"I will keep this brief, my name is Amalgam and if you do not come with me now then over fourty four trillion lives may be lost in the process." The newcomer stated telling them his name was Amalgam and he needed help saving lives.
"If what he says is true with should at least hear him out." Lightning Lad stated to them about checking this out.
"Agreed." Albedo answered back "Phantom Girl, take charge while I'm gone, Lightning Lad, Malware Seven, Timber Wolf, and Triplicate Girl with me."
The others nodded and Amalgam opened up a portal with the group all flying through it finding a wasteland of ruins in front of them. "Welcome to my world the fourty first century." Amalgam spoke about where he's from.
Timber Wolf began to growl while looking around and questions "Who did this?" as someone or something began to shoot at them.
"They did." Amalgam answered back as they saw an army of different robots and he'd made small energy spikes appear on his hands charging through them and began to break everything in his path along with blasting them with rays from his eyes.
When more showed up they started taking out the enemy with Albedo hitting the Duotrix calling out "Fourarms!" as he'd changed into his Tetramand form once again.
The others did what they could with Lightning Lad blasting them. Malware 7 blasted them as well and Timber Wolf clawed through them. They'd all continued fighting as Triplicate girl had kicked some of them away and then Mal moved in front of her while the thing was blasting at them.
"I don't think we can hold them off much longer, we need something stronger." Malware 7 called out about battling these things.
Amalgam had flown past using his powers to take out the big one and the other bots fleed, he'd then turned back stating "Nice job, had my doubts but you survivd your first taste of the Imperiex Army.
"The Legion is a team, and you're a loose cannon. That's not how heroes from our time work." Mal stated to Amalgam angry that he didn't work with them.
"I'm not trying to be a hero, just trying to survive." Amalgam stated in response to what Mal had just said before turning to look at them stating "And in My time that means doing what it takes to get the job done!"
"Alright both of you cool it." Albedo called out telling them to stop arguing "We've got bigger fish to fry."
"Fish?" Amalgam questioned not getting what he was talking about "What do fish have to do with any of this.
"It's a phrase from his time, it means that we have more important things to do." Timber Wolf explained just what Albedo was talking about.
"Technically I believe it is considered an idiom." Mal then added annoying Albedo that they were missing the point.
"Look sharp, we got company." Lightning Lad called out to them as another robot appeared that had two faces appearing inside of the clear dome.
"Wait, that's not the enemy. That's 1-0-N-S-N it created me." Amalgam stated getting between the legion and the robot.
"Um created, as in your parents?" Triplicate Girl questioned holding up her index finger contfused by what sh'ed just heard.
"So this is them." 1-0-N-S-N spoke moving one of the arms to gesture towards the group and had been switching between the male and female faces speaking telling them "Sure don't look like much, well we already brough them here might as well see if the legends are true. You probably want to know why you're here so let us tell you a story." As the two faces swirrled around inside of the clear part and projected something and then says
"Many years ago a time of extended prosperity emerged after the Legion of Superheroes defeated tyranie throughout the galaxy." Amalgam then stated to them about what they were seeing.
"We were totally un prepared when a new evil finally rose up against us. An evil named Imperiex, we'd recalled stories about a hero with many powers and biologically engineered the lifeform known as Amalgam to fight against them." The Female Voice then added showing them how all that went.
"But I can't stop Imperiex alone, fourtunately 1-0-N-S-N discovered a device called the warp key to allow me to ask for help from the Legion that originally brought that peace and prosperity." Amalgam then finished the explination.
"We now have news that Imperiex has discovered the resistance headquarters. If he destories this base our others would surely fall." 1-0-N-S-N stated to them about what's going on now.
"Then this is it, the moment that I was created for." Amalgam stated to them while clenching his fist.
They'd all flown off to a broken down building with Amalgam stopping in front of it and landing down in front of the door there.
"This is is, the resistance headquarters. The only thing standing in the was of Imperiex's final solution." Amalgam then stated to them all.
"When I was a kid I buit better forts our of blankets." Lightning Lad stated about the place walking next to the future superpowered individual.
Amalgam then gestured to the building and says "Now you know why 1-0-N-S-N wanted your help on this."
"Right now you need more than us. You need a plan." Timber Wolf stated to him while looking over.
Amalgam had seemed surprised by that suggestion and questions "How's this for a plan we fight until Imperiex's rusted husk has been ripped apart for scrap metal!"
"Analyzing the combat data that 1-0-N-S-N provided me I discovered that while Imperiex would be virtually unstoppable there is one fatal flaw." Mal stated showing a hologram of their opponent as he was preparing to attack and paused it stating "His cannon blast, usage of this weapon exposes his core long enough that a well placed magnetic pulse missle would take him out."
"Alright we'll try it your way." The future being stated still unsure if this would work or not but agreeing to try.
"That's your first hero lesson, learning to work with others and think things trough." Albedo stated to Amalgam putting his hand on their shoulder.
The sirens had all blared and spotlights were turned on with people coming out of various spots with their weapons drawn ready to fight.
"Amalgam, Imperiex approaches from the east." One of the female resistance fighters stated gesturing towards the enemy, or at least they came off as being female.
This had started to cause Amalgam to grow angry but Albedo stops him calling "I'll take care of the fodder, you guys focus on Imperiex. The rest of you, give me some room to work." turning to speak to the resistance.
"But"DO AS HE SAYS!" She'd began to speak but Amagalm had yelled for them to move away from the battlefield and they'd nodded giving them room.
"Alright, go big or go home and since I can't go home guess I gotta go big." Albedo then stated hitting the Duotrix and changing into his To'kustar form calling out "Waybig!"
We then see Amalgam's eyes widen in surprise and tried to look up to see just how tall Waybig was along with some of the other ristance who'd ended up leaning too far back and falling over onto the ground.
"That could work." Amalgam then stated impressed with the sheer size of Waybig alone since he'd never seen such a thing.
"It gets better." Timber Wolf stated to them watching the show with a smirk knowing just what was about to happen.
Waybig had then held up one of his arms with the fin on it directed at the army and held held the other ar so that the middle finger was touching around the middle of it and with a single blast had knocked by the entirety of the robotic army, but Impriex was a little tougher sadly. The Main villain was still coming to fight them.
"So you've brought in outsiders, this isn't their fight Coward!" Imperiex yelled out at Amalgam who'd finally snapped out of it gone to fight them.
"Coward, hero, it doesn't matter to me just so long as I get the job done that's the only thing that matters. Killing you is the only reason that I'm alive!" Amalgam answered back ready to face him as the other leaguers had began to help with moving the resistance and handleing any of the armies that got past Waybig.
"This isn't helping." Waybig called hitting the symbol and changing into a smaller form calling out "Atomix!" and began charging up energy.
"Try a little Fusion Cuisene!" Atomix called throwing balls of energy that were blowing apart the bots this time instead of just knocking them back.
"Such power, I will have that device for myself." Imperiex called out flying to go after them with Atomix barely managing to dodge out of the way and then blasting them at point blank.
"Sorry, but the Duotrix and I are kind of attached you won't be getting it anytime soon." Atomix stated hitting the symbol and changin into what looked like a robot made of gears calling "Clockwork!"
Everone had heard a bell rining out as the winding key atop his head began to spin and he'd charged up power blasting Imperiex with it the moment he tried to use the canon and Malware 7 blasted them blowing a hole into their chest in the process.
"If you could control time, why didn't you use it to go home?" Mal then questioned looking at Clockwork as he'd changed back to human.
"Not strong enough, I just barely could hold Imperiex." Albedo answered back with a shrug as everyone had started to celebrate the defeat of their greatest enemy.
"I can't believe it's finally over." Amalgam stated as they'd landed next to the body of Imperiex as he'd opened up a hole with the warp key so the Legion could return to their time.
"Not as over as yoU THINK!" Imperiex called out as he'd actually managed to get up again.
He'd charged forwards at them with their blades drawn and swiped down at Amalgam but Albedo had gotten between them and shoved him back blocking them with the arm that his Duotrix rested on and it let out a pules as Imperiex was slashing down but he'd manged to force himself through slamming the blades against the device and causing the energy blades to crack and shatter as the Duotrix had a massive crack put in it and had also crumpled apart with Imperiex being blown through the hole.
"I thought you took him out!" Amalgam called at Malware 7 angry that Imperiex had just escaped to the past.
"I did, but he must have accessed some sort of hidden reserve not in the scematics." Mal answered back about that.
Albedo had gotten up with his shirt damaged from what happened now folding over in a slant and blowig in the wind with some scrapes and spat out some blood stating "Not important what is important is that we go stop Imperiex from taking over the thirty first century."
"1-0-N-S-N Imeriex has escaped into the past, I'm going after them to make sure the job gets done." Amalgam spoke into his communicator on his wrist.
"Be careful son." The inventor robot alien creature spoke over the coms and they'd all charged through the wormhole to return to the past discovering he'd already trashed the base.
