Legion's Reign Season 02 Episode 04
We see that the legion had returned to Earth and had been gathering what was left of their things from the destroyed clubhouse when Albedo and Phantom Girl had come back from their talks with the various figureheads. They'd also had to go and get their things, or at least what was left of them and the other Legionairs had come to speak with them.
"Plese tell me you've gotten a new base." Saturn Girl stated with a box of her things from inside the destroyed building, having been recently released from the hospital earlier that day.
"Um.. no. We did get a base, but it's not a new one exactly." Albedo answered back stating that they'd gotten a place for them to use as a HQ but that it wasn't new.
"We'll have to clean the place up and upgrade it ourselves." Phantom Girl then stated to them about the place.
"So where is it exactly?" Lightning Lad questioned wondering just where this base would be located now.
The two then pointed upwards in response with Albedo stating "Good news is that Chameleon Boy's dad said the Legion could keep the battle cruiser."
"C'mon we'll show you guys the place." Phantom Girl called and put a lid on the box of her things gesturing for the others to follow.
The others had done the same and they'd all followed after Phantom Girl who'd led them off to a floating station of sorts that only had an orbital stabilizer left functioning the rest they'd have to reactivate and charge themselves. Still it was large enough for everyone, though the layer of dust was something they'd have to start with.
"Alright I've already assigned rooms so no fighting over who gets what space." Albedo called out to them stating that he'd already assigned the rooms.
He'd then showed them all a chart on what room would belong to who and the others lined up taking turns getting the room numbers and went to put their stuff down and start cleaning up the place. They all had a nice view of earth it was just at different angles but the place seemed nicer than they'd expected something so old to have been.
"Alright listen up, this place needs a serious cleaning. Malware Seven, Lightning Lad, I want you two to head down to the power core and see if you can get the place recharged and up and running again." Albedo called out to the two of them about what their job would be. "The rest of you, grab any cleaning tools or products you can find and get to work. I want the Watchtower spotless by eightteen hundred."
They'd all gotten to work and Albedo had also been cleaning up the place alongside the rest of the Legion as Lightning Lad and Malware 7 had gotten to work starting to try to get the place functioning. Bouncing Boy and Triplicate Girl had been cleaning the control consoles and giving it a wash using cleaning pads since they couldn't use water on them, and Shrinking Violet had been cleaning the insides of the control consoles as well.
The lights had started to flicker while they were cleaning and eventually came on and Albedo went to the controls blasting the dust from the ducts and stuff with everone cleaning the insides of those as well, and eventually they'd had it all cleaned up and started to decorate it with whatever hadn't been destroyed in the Clubhouse.
It was slow going but eventually they got it feeling a bit more like home and they'd been checking everything to make sure that it all had been working and Ferro Lad calls out "Hey, check out the size of this video screen!" turning on a movie onto a very large screen.
The Movie had blasted out a little louder than they'd expected. "HEY CAN YOU TURN IT DOWN!?" Saturn Girl called out with her hands over her ears.
Albedo went over turning down the volume as Ferro Lad was having a hard time with the controls. "I can't believe I gotta teach you all how to use a Televison." He'd stated with a sigh.
"Hey guys I found a cold food in one of the metal boxes. And it's sweet tasting too." Bouncing Boy stated eating on what appeared to be a popsicle.
"You do realize that's been in there for over a thousand years." Lightning Lad reminded Bouncy who'd had a sudden realization and stopped eating it dropping it into a disposal bin.
"We'll need to start the upgrades right away." Mal stated about fixing the place up to fit their needs.
"Get started, Chameleon Boy, take Colossal Boy and Cosmic Boy and go get whatever we need to stock this place with any needed supplies." Phantom Girl called to the three of them and they'd nodded heading off.
"Why are we wasting time with all of this again?" Amalgam questioned about cleaning the place and fixing it up.
"Because having a base of opperations to use will help us better coordinate." Triplicate Girl answered back.
"We're also waiting for our allies to report Imperiex's location." Phantom Girl answered back stating they had people out looking for the enemy now.
"It's called having downtime, you should try to get used to it because you'll have a lot after Imperiex is defeated." Albedo stated to them about what they were doing right now.
"I've discovered from the skematics that there is a simulator program that appears to be more advanced than the Clubhouse has, perhaps I could get something up and running for the Legion to use as a way to vacation here in the base so that we could still be ready at a moment's notice." Mal suggested to the current leader of the Legion.
"Now there's an idea. Make it so number one." Albedo answered back and so Malware 7 went off to the simulator controls to program something for them to enjoy.
"Is this a good idea to be distracted?" Amalgam questioned still not sure about the idea of what they were doing.
"You gotta learn to lighten up, we're still on call if Imperiex is spotted but if he's not spotted then we get a chance to relax and unwind to help us be better prepared to fight. If you do absolutely nothing but fight nonstop you'll burn yourself out." Albedo explained to Amalgam as Chameleon Boy had returned with the others.
Well, Mal had managed to get everything fixed up for the simulator and had made a beach with the ocean for them to relax at even having beach chairs and umbrellas and whatever else they'd need to enjoy their time there. They'd worn swimsuits of different kinds and even Amalgam was trying it out wearing a pair of swimming trunks.
Shrinking Violet had been laying on the sand watching a little hermit crab walking by that'd blown bubbles at her when she'd poked the shell and quickly hid. Triplicate Girl was floating out on the water on an inflatable pool chair with a cupholder on it and Mal was building sand castles.
"CANONBALL!" Bouncy called out flying up above the water and inflating letting himself drop and cause a splash that'd tipped over Triplicate Girl who'd come up out of the ar looking angry at.
"Bouncy!" Triplicate Girl yelled out mad about being tipped over as she'd tried to stop her floating chair from getting too far away from them.
Albedo meanwhile was up on the beach messing with a grill as the others were having fun and Phantom Girl had gone for a swim checking out the simulated fish and whatnot that was around them and the coral that they were around. It was starting to feel relaxing and even sorta fun.
"Yo, Amalgam up for a game?" Lightning Lad called out getting the attention of the man from their future and holding up a ball.
"A game?" Amalgam questioned confused as to what they were talking about "I don't know how to play any games."
"It's simple really." Timber Wolf answered back about how to play "You just use your hands and try to get the ball over the net and past the other person."
"Doesn't seem too hard." Amalgam answered back about the idea of how to play this game they invited him to.
"One more thing, no powers while playing." Lightning Lad then stated and they'd started the game together.
Saturn Girl had been relaxing on a beach chair and reading a book while just getting some sunlight and relaxing.
A delicious smell had started to waft through the air from the grill and Albedo called out "Alright, come and get it!" To the other Legionairs having multiple different stuff grilled up for them to enjoy.
"Smells delicious." Phantom Girl spoke going over and trying some of it out finding that it tasted as good as it smelled.
Everyone had enjoyed the food and spent the rest of the day there as thing slowly started to unwind and they'd buit a simulated fire sitting around it talking about just all different stuff. Even Amalgam had actually gotten into the swing of things now and some of them had paired up while watching the stars.
"This was.. fun." Amalgam stated to them all still not used to it but seemed to have enjoyed the experience at least.
"Ya it was, but given the time I think we should call it a night and head back to our qarters to get some sleep." Albedo told them stretching a bit as he'd done so.
"Right, end Simulation." Malware 7 agreed and called for the simulation to cancel out and once it'd vanished they left going to their rooms to call it a night.
