Legion's Reign Season 02 Episode 05
We see the Watchtower now with the Legion of Superheroes painted onto the ouside of it as the Legionairs were begining to wake up and heading to go and have breakfast. Albedo's alarmclock had started buzzing and he'd reached over hitting the switch letting out a yawn as he'd done so.
"C'mon, it's time to get up." Albedo then stated sitting up as some of the covers had slid down from his chest area landing in his lap.
We see Phantom Girl next to him with the covers up to her chest as she'd groaned and put the pillow over her head saying "Too early." not wanting to get up.
"Don't wanna miss breakfast do you?" He'd questioned her while stretching out to finish waking himself up.
In response she'd flipped the pillow down from her head onto her chest and says "Guess not." letting out a yawn as she'd sat up with the blanket falling down into her lap and exposing her bare back.
The two had gotten cleaned up and headed down to breakfast with Albedo having a different costume finally and had looked more comfortable in that one than he did the white one that Mal had given to him. They'd found that the others had already been up and about having breakfast.
"Long night?" Amalgam questioned raising an eyebrow as the two had still been groggy while getting themselves a couple of plates.
"Ya, gotta.." Phantom Girl spoke stopping to yawn for a moment before saying "Gotta get something to help wake me up."
"Probably woke something else up last night." Lightning Lad stated implying something a little inapropriate to be talking about at breakfast and Saturn Girl elbowed him to make him stop.
"They woke me up at least, what with my super hearing. Not that I'd need it as loud as they were." Amalgam stated in response which had caused Phantom Girl to become imbarrassed with her whole face turning a shade of pink as she'd put her hands over her face and pased down out of the room.
"Subtle." Timber Wolf stated as he'd just continued to sit there and eat breakfast not caring much one way or the other about what they do in the bedroom.
The Intercoms had let out a noise and Malware 7's voice came through stating "Hello? I hope I did this right with the primitive communications setup."
"We can hear you Mal, go ahead." Albedo spokt hitting a button on the intercom to answer back.
"Oh, good. Okay so, you guys need to hurry and finish breakfast because we've recieved that Imperiex is on the move with the Controllers and his army of Destructo Bots. Report to the main control area when you're done." Malware 7 answered back and began trying to figure out how to turn it off as they hear him talking to himself stating "Okay which button if I pressed this one to talk then this would shoul..." And he'd gone quiet, must have hit the right button.
We then move to the others now on the move inside of the cruiser as Malware 7 had been at the controls reading off the information to them telling them "Imperiex had taken Thanagar and is now headed to my home planet of Colu."
"We'd better warn them, pull of Colu on the monitor." Albedo stated to them and so they'd done just that with the leader of Colu appearing on screen.
"Greetings Legion, to what do we owe this disturbance?" The leader questioned them about why they were calling.
"A warlor named Imperiex has"Yes, we know about Imperiex." Mal tried to warn them but they'd cut them off.
"The Legion is ready to provide any assistance you may need against this threat." Albedo stated to them.
"And what kind of assistance could your primitive kind provide us?" The leader questionined in response. "We are more than capable of handleing this threat on our own."
"I don't think you fully understand just what we're dealing with here!" Albedo caleld but they'd cut the feed. "Mal set course to intercept."
"We're too late, Colu has fallen and with it Imperiex now has the knowledge of how to digitize matter." Malware 7 told the legion "Fortunately I've prepared these special tools to help. They will protect against the Digitization process."
"I have an idea but I'll need Mal, Saturn Girl, and Amalgam to help make it possible. The rest of you get out there and try to stop Imperiex." Albedo called and the others nodded heading out to handle the threat.
They'd tried to digitize them but it didn't work with Cosmic Boy stating "A gift from Malware Seven, can't be digitized now."
"Well then we'll simply destroy you insidead." Answered Imperiex from inside the new ship that he'd been using, this one having a skull shape with tendrils.
"We'll see." Lightning Lad called and blasted at the Coluans as he and the rest of the Legion then began to fight against them all.
The Coluans had then began to to pile onto the ship slowly connecting themselves together with Imperiex stating "As we function with one mind, we too can function with one body." as they'd formed a massive body shaped like Imperiex that had started attacking them.
Colossal Boy had grown larger and began to beat on the new body as it had blasted the device on him and then digitized him with a second blast and the others started trying to fight against the time travelling villain.
Meanwhile Albedo was inside explaining the plan asking "Think we can do it?" looking at the others.
"The Coluans are a hive mind, I could connect you to to the systems with the help of Saturn Girl but I don't know just how damaged the inside will be." Mal stated to them about the plan that he was suggesting.
"Do it, if it's our chance at taking Imperiex down for good I'm willing to take the risks." Amalgam stated to them and the two nodded.
They'd been projected and Imeriex appeared in front of them stating "So you think you can beat me here in my own mind, I don't know if you're brave, or just plain stupid."
He'd then created circles of data that had blasted at the two of them making them fall onto the ground and Mal had appeared to them stating "Remember this is all mental, it's not real you make it real."
"We make it real?" Amalgam questioned groaning out in pain and began trying to force himself up in the process.
"We make it real, that means.. That means we don't have to fight alone!" He'd called standing up and changing his arm into the metal one of Lightning Lad and blasted back Imperiex.
"How'd you.. Right this is a place where thought is given form!" Amalgam realized as he'd been helped up by Albedo who's arm had returned to normal.
"Let's break him." Albedo stated ready to take down Imperiex and his evil once and for all for the sake of everyone.
Amalgam nodded ready to join in the action growing extra amrs like Chameleon Boy boy could and charged at them making the shields appear on his now multiple sets of arms and he'd slammed all of them into him at once driving him into the wall.
Albedo used Comic Boy's powers to bend the pannels across the wall inwards onto Imperiex and the villain continued to fight them charging his cannon on his chest. Amalgam had flown in and put his fist through their chest with the energy shields on his hands causing it to blow from the inside and then grown to the size of Colossal Boy with his fist still inside causing them to break apart.
Albedo had split into three and cleaned up the pieces piling them up before then inflating like Bouncing Boy and bouncing on top of them. Amalgam had then used his eye blasts onto Imperiex. melting and welding the pieces into the pile as he'd struggled to get free and reform himself.
"May I?" Amalgam questioned looking over at Albedo who's turn it was to attack again asking if he could take this next one.
"Oh by all means, you go right ahead." Albedo answered with a gesture for him to have at it letting him take the turn isntead.
"Thanks." Amalgam spoke making his body grow into the robotic form of Malware 7 while at the same time making one of the arms Lightning Lad's new arm cannon and used the two different blasts to attack.
This caused Imperiex to cry out in pain as he'd been vaporized and the machine outside had completely stopped. Once it was over Saturn Girl and Malware 7 brought them out of the state and they'd flown out to the others where the machine was stationary.
"Allow me to handle this one." Albedo stated to the others slapping the Biomnitrix's bands together while also calling out "WAY-GRADE!"
He'd changed into a fusion of Upgrade and Waybig before throwing himself at the Coluans and fusing himself with the entire thing changing it's form to look more like Malware 7. He'd then spit out Imperiex and then released everyone from the digitization process that had been taking beforehand. He'd then released the hive mind and unfusing himself with them. The massive machine had released itself returning to the Coluan's natural forms in the process.
"Gratitude Legion of Superheroes for releasing us. Apparently you primitives are more resourceful than we intially believed you to be." The leader had spoken with Amalgam raising an eyebrow at that.
"You're welcome." Phantom Girl spoke as the Coluans returned to their planet leaving the Legion with Imperiex.
Amalgam had grabbed Imperiex by the mouth of his chestplate and says "I'm NOT making that same mistake twice." before flying off to the nearest sun and spun in circles letting go and hurling him at it with a high velocity watching as every last bit of them had burned up in the process.
We then see later on that Amalgam was using the warp key in order to return home and turned towards the others stating "Thank you for helping me defeat Imperiex.. and for helping me realise that I am more than just my mission."
"That's the point of a team isn't it? Working together and knowing that you're never alone." Timber Wolf stated to Amalgam about helping him learn how to play well with others.
"Guess I'm more a part of the Legion than I ever realized." He'd answered back to them preparing to leave through the warp.
"Then before you go." Albedo called out to the future hero having him turn back towards them as he says "We should make it official."
We then fade to Albedo opening the box with belt and ring inside as Amalgam take the ring and puts it on actually having a bit of a smile before walking out to the legion and clearing his throat raising his right hand saying "To the Legion of Superheroes I make this solom pledge. To use my powers for good. To fight for Justice, and protect the innocent. To aide my fellow Legionaires in times of peril, and to keep their secrets safe. To honor the heroes of the past I choose a new name to honor the heroes of the past, I am Amalgam."
"Long live the Legion!" Amalgam and the other heroes all called out holding up their right hands aiming their rings towards the sky.
They'd began to head off to the portal that Amalgam had left open and 1-0-N-S-N had come through and shown that they'd gathered the pieces of the Duotrix and was able to fix it.
"Thanks but, I think this might do better good in your time, I'm sure Amalgam will be able to find someone worth wearing it." He'd stated refusing to take the Duotrix.
"Oh quite right." A man in a labcoat stated having appeared out of nowhere. "It most certainly will."
The others went on the defenssive but Albedo stopped them stating "Relax, this is Paradox, he shows up when time travel is involved, though you're late given that it's been three years."
"Yes, about that. It's actually supposed to have been that way I'm afraid. Though it's finally time to take you back to your time." Paradox told them looking at his pocketwatch as if checking the time.
"And what if I don't wanna?" Questioned Albedo about not wanting to go back this time anymore.
"Oh I'm afraid that I very much must insist, you will be playing a key role in the events that are yet to come." The man in the labcoat stated to him about what's going on. "Not to worry though, once you've met a by around two years older than you are now with a web cape and train them to be a leader that is when you officially vanish from the timeline."
"And return here again. Fine, but I don't have to like it." Albedo answered back with a sigh about how long it will take for him to come back.
"Hey, Albedo." Amalgam called as he'd stopped inside the wormhole and turned back to the current leader of the Legion and thrown him the warp key. "1-0-N-S-N bult that one I'm sure they can make another." He'd stated before going into the portal and it shut behind him.
"Fine, then but there's one last thing I gotta do before I go." Albedo stated to Paradox and called out "Legionairs, I'm gonna be gone for a long time and won't be able to continue to lead you, therefore I call for a vote."
"I concour." Malware 7 called out responding to what Albedo had said to them all and they'd gone to the box to cast their votes. Once that was done Mal had tallied up everything and called out "Alright, the votes are tallied, the winner is.. Phantom Girl."
Albedo had been smacked upside the back of the head by Phantom Girl after she'd heard the results. "Way to leave me holding the bag." She'd complained to him.
"You'll do fine, more importantly I'd like to be the one to return Albedo to his time. I brought him here and have finally managed to fix the time bubble tech." Malware 7 told Phantom Girl before stating that he wanted to return Albedo to his time personally.
"Be my guests." Paradox stated giving them the go ahead and letting Malware 7 return Albedo to his time.
They'd gone to the room where the device was and Phantom Girl had hugged Albedo goodbye giving him a kiss while she was at it, somethinghe'd reciprocated and kissed her back as they'd stopped to look at one another just to remember them as they are right now.
"It's time." Timber Wolf spoke putting a hand on Albedo's shoulder and he'd let go walking onto the platform as the energy had created a sphere around him and returned him once more to to his own time leaving Phantom Girl crying about him having to leave.
