Legion's Reign Season 02 Episode 06
We see that the Legion had aged a bit and now had a secondary base on earth once more probably built over the remains of the others as they'd had statues of heroes inside the base with Bouncing Boy walking alongside Malware 7 down a hall.
"This stinks Mal, I hate running from a fight especially against those jerks." Bouncing Boy stated to Malware 7.
"I know what you mean, but they appear to have finally upgrade their tech enough to contend with the Legion of Supeheroes again. That's why we're here right now." Mal answered back as they'd stopped in front of the door and used a code to open it up.
The two walked over to something covered in a tarp and pulled it off revealing the time bubble tech and wiped off the dust of the controls. "So then we're calling them for help again. It'll be good to see them again."
"Agreed." Malware 7 stated and activated the tech looking for the signatures for their other members that the two had been talking about.
Once he'd found them Mal activated the device bringing the first of the two there, that being Amalgam who appeared to have been around the same age as the two of them now.
"Welcome back Amalgam, Next up, Albedo." Bouncing Boy stated greeting the hero from their future who'd stepped out of the device.
"It's good to see you again Bouncy, but you two probably didn't just call me for a playdate am I right?" The future hero stated back and asked about what's going on.
"That's right, I'm trying to locate Albedo now and.. Got him." He'd stated and activate the device again, only instead of Albedo they'd ended up with four other heroes that they hadn't met before.
"Okay what's going on?" The guy with red and yellow hair questioned angry about having just been zapped to somewhere else.
"We were trying to recruit a member of our team from the past and accidentally brought the four of you here. Perhaps introductions should be in order. I am Malware Seven, do not let the name fool you I'm a hero and nothing like THAT Malware that I'd read about. " Mal stated to the four of them.
"Name's Static, this is Gear, Hotstreak, and Lucy. She doesn't have a hero name." The man with the lightning bolt on his chest stated introducing himself and his friends.
"I'm Amalgam, this is Bouncing Boy." Answered Amalgam about who he and the boy in blue were specifically.
"Okay now that introductions are out of the way, why did you bring us here exactly?" Lucy then questioned about what's going on.
"Come with me and I will explain." Mal told them as he'd led them to a console that showed the many different heroes that they work with. "These are the currently active members of the Legion of Superheroes. A group that Bouncing Boy, Amalgam, and I, all belong to."
"Originally we had tried to pull a hero from the past to help us take on a threat known as the Fatal Five who'd only gotten easer to deal with over time while he'd been fighting alongside us and even after he'd retruend to your time. Recently they seem to have upgraded their tech and captured some of our greatest members, but why remains unknown." Bouncing Boy stated about what's going on exactly.
"Okay, so why us?" Hotstreak questioned why exactly they'd chosen to bring them them there specifically.
"The cordinates for the time bubble were locked onto the hero we worked with before but something must have malfunctioned and brought you here by mistake. I won't be able to return you home until the bubble is recharged." Malware 7 explained to them about why it was them that they'd gotten.
"Okay, how can we help?" Gear questioned about helping them out with this problem that they were dealing with.
"Whoa, time out." Lucy spoke and gestured for the three that'd come with her to go talk about this. "Just because he's cute doesn't mean we should trust any sort of Malware." She'd then stated as they walked away from them for a moment.
"I'm not getting a bad vibe from them." Static stated about working with these guys, at least not right now.
"Ya, and apparently neither are you." Gear then added while looking at Lucy before repeating "Seriously cute huh?"
After talking about it a little more they'd walked over and Hotstreak says "We're in, what's next?"
They'd began to leave the room when they'd seen the emeral eye and Amalgam threw up a sheild to block their attacks from connecting.
"Well, we haven't seen you for awhile. And you brought gests, how charming." The Villainous Emerald Empress statated seeing Amalgam and the others.
Persuader appeared with his axe ready to attack but Amalgam blasted at them using his heat vision blasting both of them back and charged at the eye striking it and sending it flying on down the hall. Static then blasted electricity down the hall at them while Hotstreak blasted them with fire at the same time.
They'd decided it was best to ditch while they could and Malware picked up a disk stating "We need to track them down, and I think we can do so with this."
"Great, Backpack Analyze." Gear spoke and the robot on his pack sent out a lense attached to a cable and scanned the tech.
"I doubt your tech could possibly find out what's going on with the others right now." Malware 7 stated to Gear who'd ignored that.
"It's some sort of neuro tech." Gear answered back as Backpack's lense retracted back into it's body.
"We may get more clues in the sub lab." Mal answered back impressed that he could at least tell them that much about what they were dealing with.
They'd gone to check it out and had been working with a scanning tool as we then cut to the others as Lightning Lad's disk had been fried and he looked around confused before remembering what had happened and took some adhesive from his belt and stuck it to his forehead even though it was fried and activated his Ring's tracking signal to show any of the Legion that hadn't been captured where they were soo that they could help.
We then cut back to Amalgam stating "Uh guys, I've been checking the frequencies for the Flight Rings and just picked up Lightning Lad's signal."
Mal had checked his own ring and ran the information through the scanner stating "The Fatal Five is head towards the capitol of the United Planets. The Fatal Five has tried to destroy it before."
"They'll be in for a real rude awakening when they find out that Verdona is there." Bouncing Boy stated about Albedo's Grandmother being a part of that particular group.
"Verdona, as in Ben and Albedo's grandmother Verdona?" Lucy questioned if that's who they were talking bout.
"The one and only." Amalgam answered back "She gave us access to the watchtower after it was previously decomissioned."
"The good news is that the Legion's Cruiser runs rings around their ship." Bouncing Boy stated to the heroes from the past. "We could still beat them there."
"Then what?" Lucy questioned just how they were supposed to stop these guys if they'd been as tough as they'd claimed to be.
"We improvise." Hotstreak answered back creating a ball of fire in his hand in response to the question.
They'd gotten the cruiser and headed off through space to get there before the others and Lucy says "Nice ship."
"Chameleon Boy's dad donated it to the Legion." Malware 7 explained about where it had come from "What do you pilot back home?"
"The Javeline mostly." She'd answered back about what it was that she would specifically pilot back in their time.
"A Javeline, is that some sort of star cruiser?" Amalgam questioned just what that sort of thing was exactly.
"Yes, yes it is." Hotstreak answered for them telling them that the Javeline was specifically a star cruiser.
"No where near is fast or powerful as Ship though." Static stated to them about the Mechamorph blob.
"Yes, we've heard about Ship from A.. from the past hero that had helped us out the last time we used the time bubble technology." Malware 7 answered catching himself and deciding not to reveal just who it was that they'd been talking about.
When they'd gotten to the Fatal Five's ship a hatch opened up and the other heroes had gone through flying towards the planet below and Amalgam calls out "Alright, Static, Hotstreak, Bouncing Boy, and I will help stop the Legion to help get those disks off of them. The rest of you stop the Five and try to shut down the disks remotely from the ship."
Uh.. we can't breathe in space." Gear stated to them holding up his index finger while reminding them of that.
"You can now, I've got spare Legion Flight Rings and Belts for you all to use untill the mission is over." Malware 7 stated to them opening up a storage area and handing them each a set. "They will allow you to breathe in space and fly about wherever you need to go."
Once they were all out of the ship Lightning Lad had ripped off his dial and says "Ow." while rubbing his head but then blasts at the one on Saturn Girl frying it calling "Saturn Girl, think you can hold the others?"
"I could try but I doubt it would be for long." She'd answered back about being able to hold them off.
"We won't need long." Amalgam called out to them and slammed his fist into another hero's disk breaking it.
"Amalgam?" Saturn Girl questioned surprised to see her teammate from the future back to help them out.
"Just do it!" Bouncing Boy called out and Saturn Girl gave a brain blast to the other Legionairs temporarily holding them.
The others started to remove the disks and those Legionairs in turn started removing disks and so on and so forth until they were all free. Now the Fatal Five had to deal with the entire Legion of Superheroes, well, minus Albedo anyway and they'd charged at the ship as it'd dropped it's shields and all the chips had broken apart whie floating out in space.
"Looks like they did it." Hotstreak stated before then flying off towards the ship yelling "I GOT FIRST DIBS ON THE LEFTOVERS!"
"Wha? GET BACK HERE!" Amalgam yelled out before flying off afer them while Hotstreak was laughing like a maniac ready to join in the fight.
The rest of the group had flown off to join in the fight and with them all ready to get a piece of them well.. Ya, not that hard to handle really. The Five were in custody quick enough and they'd been working on the time bubble ready to send them home.
"I think I'd like to stay, this place is wild and they could use the help." Lucy stated telling them that she wasn't going back with them. "But do me a favor, give my family this please." She'd then told them handing her friends a small box.
"I only have enough energy to for one trip back." Malware 7 stated to them looking over at Amalgam.
"That's fine, 1-0-N-S-N built me a new Warp Key already, you just send them home." Amalgam stated and Mal nodded activating the device sending the three heroes from the past home.
"Well, before I got I think someone's forgetting something." Malware stated looking over at Lucy who'd been confused by what they were saying.
We move to later on with the Legion standing in front of Lucy as she'd held up her right hand stating "To the Legion of Superheroes I make this Solom Pledge. To use my powers for good. To fight for justice, and protect the innocent. To aid my fellow Legionaires in times of peril, and to keep their secrets safe. To honor the heroes of the past I choose a new name I am Lucy."
"Not bad." Amalgam stated to her after she'd taken the pledge and opened up a portal back to his future. "A shame that Albedo had to miss it."
"Wait, did he just say Albedo?" Lucy then questioned looking at the other Legionaires who'd all sorta looked awkward.
Whe'd looked over at Amalgam who'd smirked at them from the other side of the portal back in his time as it then closed in front of them while he'd called out "Have fun with that." while laughing as it'd closed up completely.
