The Tusken of Tatooine
Ben had been traveling around the unknown regions for a couple weeks. Checking out multiple star systems for native life forms he'd only found flora and fauna, no sapient civilizations. While doing so he kept in contact with everyone, mostly to complain to azmuth about almost being eaten multiple times. When azmuth started blocking his calls, he started calling eunice to complain about azmuth.
"Seriously, how can he just block my calls like that! I'm out here discovering the galaxy for him and he doesn't bother to respond..'' Ben continues to rant as Eunice massages her head to help her growing headache. She was always dragged into the middle of their arguing and myaxx just found it funny.
"Ugg, ben, just stop talking, please. You're supposed to forward me new reports on the worlds you find, not complaining, honestly, you're 21 not 10."
"I know that, the reports are still up loading, but still its getting boring out here" ben says
He was currently in orbit above a planet he found and after a few days exploring and cataloging everything he could was sending it back to azmuth and eunice. He was groing bored really quickly with the task and unice could tell.
"Ben, I know research isn't your favorite thing to do, azmuth knows this too. He was planning to tell you about this himself, but you annoyed him too much, and now I have too. We know there's a wider galactic community out there and we've been able to connect to their extranet, though they call it the holonet. From what we could gather something big has happened. Azmuth wants you to go and find out what. We also found a map of the galaxy and apparently were in an area of space called the unknown regions and the closest populated star systems are in Hut space located in the galaxy's outer rim."
Ben took in the information and started to get excited. "So he wants me to go find out what happened, which means, whoo hoo, no more…"
"You still have to do research" "awwww man"
"It won't be the same your doing now, i'll be taking over the flora and fauna, you'll be connecting with the new alien species out there and learning all about them and their cultures, after all this is what you were meant for"
"Well, that is true" ben sighs as he looks at the omnitrix.
"Alright where am i going"
"Closest thing to you is a planet called tatooine"
"Alright setting course for tatuna"
"Tatooine" eunice stresses
"Whatever, talk to you later eunice"
With that, Ben cuts the feed before stepping out of his cabin on the rustbucket 4 and taking the pilot's seat. Activating the jump drive, he launches into hyperspace.
After a few days in hyperspace the RB4 emerges above the desert planet of tatooine. During the time in hyperspace Ben was reading up on the info they have on the planet. Multiple species lived on the planet, though Ben was focusing on the natives. They were called tuskens and were the original habitants of the planet. Apparently they prefer seclusion and aren't friendly to outsiders, as it seems other aliens settled here and forced their rule on the Tusken homeworld. Ben looked up the info on who ruled and did not like what he saw. He learned why the area was called hutt space, as a species known as the hutts were apparently gang lords who ruled it. That was as far as he got from the holonet. He'll have to learn more while down on the planet.
Descending on the planet, Ben moved away from the known civilizations for now to find the region where most tuskens lived, a region called the Jundland waste. Landing on a relatively flat area, Ben left the ship wearing some clothes he was given by azmuth. He wore a full body jumpsuit under his clothes which were a combination of travel clothes and plumber gear and a nice cloak.
Moving away from his ship, which he cloaked making it invisible to the naked eye, ben set off into the canyons to find the tuskens. Luckily it was not 40 minutes in when he found them. They all jumped out from hiding pointing guns at him, while he raised his hands in surrender.
"I'm not sure if you can understand me but my name is Ben Tennyson, i come in peace" sure it was a stereotypical line but Ben had never met an alien that didn't know who he was.
"Huuurr hur hur huuur" one beloved, before holstering its weapon and beginning to use sign language, luckily it was similar to earth's sign language somehow, enough for him to communicate.

His answer surprised the tuskens, their tribe had never known another being that wanted to learn from them, all other outsiders on the planet would just attack and take their land.
:we do not trust outsiders, you are not one of us: the lead tusken signed
:But i can be: ben signed before raising the omnitrix :all i ask is that you not freak out:
In a flash of green light that blinded the tuskens, they were shocked to see another of there people stading where the outsider had been. This new tusken wore their clothes but they were primarily black with a little bit of green.
"What sorcery is this" the main tusken said and then was surprised when the new tusken replied in their language.
"It is not sorcery, its science"
"What is this how can an outsider become one of us"
"I can become one of everybody" ben said before transforming multiple times.
The tuskens watched as he became a red being with four arms, then a fish like creature, then one made of fire, finally one made of crystal, before becoming a tusken again.
"What are you?" one of the other tuskens said in disbelief as they lowered their weapon.
"All me to explain, my name is ben tennyson, and i can transform into any alien in the galaxy including you, i've come to learn about your people and live as one of you"
"You truly wish to become one of our people?"
"I've done this before with others, i would like to with your people if you allow me"
"Outsiders are not welcomed so easily into the tribe, even if you look like us"
"Then allow me to prove myself"
"Hmmmm, fallow us"
With that Ben was led to the Tusken village, explaining himself to the chief and showing off his transformations once again. They decided to allow Ben to stay with them under watch and over the following weeks they began to trust Ben fully as he genuinely wanted to learn. They too wanted to learn about him, he would entice the children with stories of his adventures and proved to the elders himself a capable warrior when he saved a child from a sand ape. He was taught to ride a bantha and find water gourds. He learned about how things were on the planet. The tuskens were the rightful people of this world but overages pirates, gangsters and all kinds of scum would force them from their lands and view them as savages.
He learned about how sacred they held water and how moisture farmers were apparently stealing it. Ben understood their plight but as azmuth once told him, he was the bridge between all beings in the universe. Ben would debate with the village chief about their hatred of outsiders and how it wasn't fair to blame them.
Ben, during his time on tatooine, would visit the cities every once in a while to learn about the people there. When he learned about jabba and how many people were slaves there he blew up in righteous fury in the middle of the great dune sea. The tuskens watched from afar as Ben transformed into a fire alien called heatblast and turned all the sand around him to glass.
After calming down Ben apologized to the tribe for scaring them and wanted to surprise them with a gift. Explaining his plan to the chief, Ben transforms into a water hazard and gifted the tribe with gallons of water that would last for months. The tribe was immensely thankful to Ben and celebrated having so much water at once.
Around a month in, Ben was given a guide. He was put in a trance when a lizard crawled up his nose, which caused him to view the desert as an ocean and when he traversed it he found a tree. He came out of the trance when he returned to the village with a large stick. He was taught how to make his own gaffi stick and when it was done he performed a ceremonial dance with the others by a campfire during the night. It was then that ben became a full member of the tribe.
Of course it was not all easy as Ben wanted to meet the other tuskan tribes. He was warned that some of them were much more violent as they would attack the moisture farms and kidnap people. Ben was determined though he wanted to meet the other tribes so that he may be able to discourage them from attacking outsiders who did nothing wrong like the moisture farmers. When he met them and explained what he wanted, some of them became angry and challenged him. Ben defeated all their warriors without transforming and only remaining a tuskan, while they accepted defeat in battle they told Ben they would no longer attack outsiders unprovoked, if he could prove himself in an ultimate test. Defeat a krayt dragon and bring them its pearl.
Ben accepted the challenge.
After returning to his ship for supplies to use, like his hoverboard, Ben went to kill the beast. Ben considered using a fusion grenade but considered it overkill as it had the potential to blow up a space station. When Ben arrived at the cave of the dragon, he found all of the tusken clans waiting around the edges. Apparently his tribe and the one that challenged him spread the word that he was going to fight the krayt dragon himself. Hundreds had gathered to see if the rumors of the tusken dressed in green were true.
"All right they all came for a show, that or to see me be eaten, let's do this" ben said before calling into the cave "HUUURRRR HUUR HUUR HUUR RRR"
As his howl echoed into the cave the ground began to rumble and the clans moved up to higher ground in the canyon to stay out of danger. Ben could see in the dark of the cave something large coming at him really fast, when it got within 300 feet, Ben began to run pulling out his hoverboard and throwing it infront of him and jumping on. As he lifted into the air the dragon rose from the sand and tried to bite. Ben pulled out a plumber rifle taking shots at the dragon doing decent damage. Snagging a few grades from his belt, Ben tossed them one at a time trying to get the dragon to jump at him again. When it took the bait, Ben maneuvered himself to the side of its face level with the eye. He pulled out his gaffi stick before jumping from his board and stabbing the dragon in the eye.
The clans were cheering and chanting, for Ben was fighting the dragon all by himself. The creature writhed in pain and started spewing acidic spit everywhere. Ben let go falling onto his board beneath him and taking more shots with his rifle before hitting the dove under the sand. Ben stilled mid air watch for where it would emerge. Ben thought it ran away when it burst from the ground where some tusken were watching, throwing them into the air and into the canyon where the fight was supposed to stay.
Ben rushed forward catching to falling tusken who would have died. His board expanded to the size of a door, similar to tetrax's, to fit all of them. Quickly taking them to safety, the clans cheered when they saw the two tuskens saved. Returning back into the air, Ben switched the mode of his rifle, changing it from simple lasers to blast of electricity. One shot was strong enough to stun a vaxasaurian, so Ben had a plan in mind. His gaffi stick was still loged in the dragon's eye. When ben crafted he incorporated some pieces of metal into it.
Charging his rifle for a more lethal shot, he was locked onto his gaffi. The dragon had noticed Ben and was jumping at him again and in the last second Ben dogged to the side and fired. With a lethal amount of electricity being funneled through his gaffi stick like a lightning rod, electricity coursed through the dragon damaging every nerve, and completely frying its brain. The krayt dragon stilled as it fell back into the canyon, where it layed dead.
Ben took deep breaths to catch his breath as hundreds of howls were let out and amplified by the canyon walls. The clans were cheering as Ben descended and stood atop the dragon. Hundreds of tusken children rushed toward him cheering and surrounding him. The adults did the same, giving him signs of respect. They all moved out of the way as the clan leaders came forward led by Ben's chief. The chief came to stand beside him placing a hand on his shoulder before turning to the other leaders who bowed to ben.
"Please there's no need to bow, I took up the challenge because of our deal, so will you honor it."
"Yes we will, from this moment on we will no longer attack the outsiders unless provoked"
"Good, now what's to say we all celebrate" Ben yelled which was responded with cheers. Some of the tuskens had already started to strip the dragon of its meat, for tonight nothing shall be wasted. The clans moved quickly setting up camps as night fell. It was a rousing celebration as kids started to reenact Ben's battle. His clan even brought all their water reserves to share with the other clans. During this Ben played, showing off his hoverboard to the kids and taking them for rides. When everyone settled down to feast, ben sat with the clan leaders.
The tuskens in charge of stripping the beast came forward during dinner, presenting Ben's gaffi stick to him. It had been cleaned, ben noticed. Another thing presented to him was the krayt dragon's pearl. Ben then moved to give it to the chief he made the deal with.
"It was part of our deal, this is yours"
"No, when we made the deal i did not believe you would succeed, but you have felled a greater krayt dragon by yourself, this is yours" he says giving ben the pearl
"Then i'll accept, not for me but for all of us" Ben says as he raises the pearl in the air causing shears and howls to go around.
As things settle down again, Ben's chief can't help but laugh.
"I never thought in my lifetime that all the clans of the dune sea and jundland waste would come together in my lifetime."
"Wadda ya mean chief"
"My boy, you've united the clans and convinced the more violent of us to settle. You've taught us to understand outsiders just a little more. The moisture farms, they are just like us, trying to survive on our desert world and fighting with them can only get worse. A few months before you arrived a clan attacked and kidnapped a woman. Later on we discovered they were completely wiped out, even the women and children. Things became tense as the other clans feared we would be attacked as well. Then you arrived, we taught you our ways and you taught us yours. You brought peace among us" the chief finishes staring out at the clans. Ben smiles and enjoys the night.
As the weeks role by the people of tatooine have noticed a shift in the tuskan raiders. For one they no longer raid. This had moisture farmers worried but when nothing happened they slowly relaxed. When pod races happened, tusken no longer fired at the races. People would even see them watch the races and even cheer. Jabba was disappointed there was no longer an extra danger to the races. Despite all this, that's not to say the tuskens were nice, if anyone was caught on their lands the tuskens would demand tribute before sending the person away unharmed.
A few of jabba's men were transporting spice across their lands when they ran into tuskens. When they demanded everything they had, the men tried to kill them only to be stopped by a tusken in black and green who stood atop a floating board. What scared the men was when the tusken started speaking in basic. He demaned they leave the tusken lands and never bring spice or slaves through again. When the men came to jabba and told him jabba became furious.
Jabba sent out an army of bounty hunters to kill the tuskens but they were met by a bigger army of tusken led by the one in green. Jabba's hunters were swiftly defeated, their gear taken and brought back to him in chains by the tuskens. The green tusken told jabba if he wanted to remain in his palace he would hand over all of the slaves he currently had. Jabba complied out of fear, it seems all of the tusken clans have united into one.
The slaves that jabba handed over shook in fear at what the tuskens might do. But they were shocked when they were brought to the new united Tusken village. Hidden in the jundland waste, ben used many different aliens to terraform the area and create and oasis. He contacted azmuth multiple times about his progress with the tuskens. When ben talked about creating the oasis for the tuskens, azmuth agreed to help.
When azmuth arrived, Ben introduced him as his original chief and when azmuth proved he could speak their language, he was accepted into the clan. While ben was terraforming, azmuth set up special solar panels he created to take advantage of the systems two suns, as well as more advanced moisture vaporators. Another thing azmuth bought was a cloaking system to hide the oasis from outsiders.
When the slaves were brought in they were astonished. Their shackles were removed, a small gray alien removed and disabled their slave chips like nothing. A tusken in green that spoke basic told them they were free and would remain here until they were ready to leave, though they had to adapt to the customs. It wasn't all that bad honestly, there was enough water for everyone, though the tuskens preached about not wasting it and it was better than if they were slaves.
During their time with them they all began to view them in a new light, they weren't savage raiders, they were simply people, a unique culture to be appreciated and understood. As the former slaves were welcomed and taught the tusken ways, Azmuth sat next to ben.
"Once again you astound me and make me proud, you did good ben"
"What can i say this what im meant to do, bring the species of the galaxy closer together"
"Its a good start"
Together they watch the twin suns set on the start of a new age for tatooine, but more change was still to come.
As Asoka made her way through the desert she could feel the presence of someone watching her. Looking around she noticed a bantha atop a dune and on it was a tusken raider, Anakin warned her about them. She took in its appearance as she prepared to draw her lightsaber. The tusken wore black and green robes and on a sash draped across its chest, was a black and green hourglass symbol.
whoo second chapter, I feel like this was a good start for how ben would effect the galaxy. The people of tatooine view the tuskens as savages when their anything but. Ben becoming one of them, earning their respect and helping change their raiding ways feels like something he would do.
also this ben is 21 and way more experienced and he has master control.
any suggestions on a name for bens tusken transformation?
