Hey everyone, allow me to clear up some confusion. On Spacebattles Forum I act under the screen name WildJoker000 and serve as an Editor, Idea Contributor, One Piece Expert and occasional character creator for Heroes of the New World and Friendly Neighborhood Foreign Exchange Student Spider Man. After Across the Spider Verse came out I came up with some omakes for the guys in the forum that they all seemed to like involving FNFESS's Peter and suggested I share them with you.
Just keep in mind this is just a short thing I'm doing, so don't expect it to be ongoing, just a fun little thing I figured I'd share with you guys.
The middle-aged man looks around the big city, uninterested, preferring to be back home to his own world. "Alright, so just remind me again why I'm here right now."
"Peter we've been over this... Five Times already."
"Shinken ni!" (Seriously)
"Hey, English or Spanish please little lady. If you're gonna insult me at least let me understand it."
Peter B Parker sighed over a building ledge as he glanced at the pair behind him. Those being a familiar little Japanese school girl with a tall blue and red robot next to her and a tall, bulky Hispanic man in a dark blue and red suit, looking halfway between lecturing him and kicking him off the roof.
"I just don't get why I need to be here Miguel. I'm pretty sure you and Peni can handle this on your own."
"Well, that's not your call to make Peter." Miguel, the larger of the trio, mentioned as he approached, looking over the city. "I need both of you for this mission. Peni because we needed a Spider who speaks the language. And you, flaws and screw ups aside, seem to have a knack for getting people to trust you."
The aged Spider-Man smirked at his gruffer counterpart. "Huh, a compliment from Mr. Serious. Wonder if this universe is messing with your head?"
"Peter come on, can you at least try to act your age?" Peni Parker finally decided to enter the conversation, her Spider Bot carrying her over to join the two at the ledge. "We need to be careful in this world."
All three of them looked out upon the city before them, more specifically, the people. All around, they saw numerous people with all manner of unique appearances. From animal people to extra limbs, limbs made of elements, horns, tails, wings, and one guy with a shower head for a face. Yeah, this was definitely not their world, and even after all they'd seen, it was still jarring.
"I still can't believe a reality like this exists. I mean, a world where everyone has superpowers? And I thought comics had wacky ideas." Peter B muttered, finding his eyes staring mainly at a man with a faucet for a nose.
"Technically, it's about 90% of the population that has powers, though that number has been steadily increasing with each generation." Peni mentioned with a few screens scrolling in front of her face. "Plus, that's not the thing to focus on."
Her hands made one of the screens wider, showing several smaller screens, all playing videos of various acts of heroism performed by a seemingly never-ending army of different superheroes.
"A world full of superheroes. Can't say that wouldn't be useful back home, certainly make the job a lot easier…" Peter's hand drifted to his back, recalling a particularly harrowing fall that left him out of action for a while.
"It's why we can't afford to be sloppy. If we cause a scene, we'll have this world's heroes breathing down our necks and possibly end up exposing the multiverse." Miguel's tone grew graver, his mind already flashing through multiple scenarios about what could happen should such a thing occur. "So, we keep it simple. Find the anomaly, get a clear idea of just what happened and get out of here before things get too serious."
Peter and Peni didn't look incredibly confident looking out at the city.
"Oh yeah, that'll be easy, only have to look around an entire country. Should be a piece of cake." Peter already wished he was back in New York spending time with his now very pregnant wife.
Peni's lack of confidence continued while she rechecked her screens. "Shame the whole matter with the Collider messed with our systems. I can't track this particular Spider for some reason."
"Doesn't matter, we fan out and find him. Call the minute you have some information."
Miguel's suit immediately retracted to reveal a dark green shirt, jeans, and black shoes under his costume, leaving Peter envious as he was forced to change the old-fashioned way by hiding behind an advertising billboard.
Once they were ready, all three quickly dropped into the nearby alley and spread out, looking for their target: Spider-Man.
More accurately, the one that's not supposed to be in this particular universe.

Peter Parker, soon to be Peter Yaoyarozu Parker or Peter Y for short, casually walked into his office, adorned in a blue suit with a white undershirt and a red tie with his signature spider emblem and webbing pattern. A flicker of light appeared before him, revealing the image of a woman with shoulder-length black hair, green eyes, a black dress, and matching shoes looking at the young 24-year-old hero.
"Nice to see your time back in New York didn't make you lose your organization skills Peter."
"Hey cut me some slack, had plenty of time back at UA to figure all that stuff out."
"Right, and those sessions with Izuku and Momo didn't help at all."
"Right… so uh. What's on the agenda Karen."
With a smirk, the hologram quickly pulled up a large screen with a list of events and times.
"Well right now you still need to finalize Mei's latest support item design."
Peter looked about, ready with a comment, only for Karen to cut him off.
"And it's already passed all necessary tests with regards to spontaneous combustion along with our other rigorous safety protocols. Also, Mei swears up and down its 99% safe."
"99%?"
"She said when it comes to inventions, there's never a 100% guarantee and didn't feel like lying to you."
That last part made Peter chuckle. Even as an adult, Mei hadn't lost that mad scientist energy she had back when they were teens. Then again, that's one of the reasons he was glad to have her as a friend and head of his design team. "Anyway, what's next?"
"You have a meeting with Shield Industries today to discuss you're three latest patents. Melissa has already looked over the proposals and should have everything finalized after this last meeting."
"Always count on Melissa to cut through the red tape quickly. Anything else?"
"Yes, Red Riot sent you a request to help sponsor his new exercise regime, the Red Rock Method, as he likes to call it. Also, Deku wants you to join him for a charity photo op he's planning to hold in a week in remembrance of All Might's retirement."
The mention of his fellow classmates causes the older hero to flashback to the many memories of his time at UA, the insane adventures the group had gotten up to, and their significant impact. It caused his eyes to drift to a framed photo hanging among many on his wall, showing the many smiling faces of Class 1A.
Peter sat proudly with Kirishima hugging him from behind, Izuku smiling awkwardly on his right, behind the green-haired boy was Bakugo, not looking at the camera, not smiling as usual and on his left…
"Lastly you and Momo are scheduled to meet with the caterers and florists for your upcoming wedding at around 3:00. I've made sure to leave you enough time to leave early so there won't be any interruptions."
The mention of the Creation User leads Peter's eyes to focus on her younger self in the same image, Peter with his own arm wrapped around her shoulder as she offers a gentle smile with a light blush on her face, several other photos nearby showing many of the pair's interactions from graduation, to many dates and finally a framed picture of the day he'd finally worked up the nerve to propose.
Peter couldn't help but lightly touch the frame with a far-off look in his eyes. "Can't believe how things have gone. Went from a wet behind the ears kid barely able to figure out his web shooters, to... this. Almost seems too good to be true."
And as if the hand of fate itself decided to answer, an alarm went off, ripping Peter from his fantasy. "Karen, what's going on?"
"I'm detecting a dimensional anomaly approximately 20 miles north."
Peter felt a sense of dread well up. After what had happened with Thanos, Peter had long accepted going home was simply not in the cards. Even in a world of superpowers, traveling across dimensions was a fantasy limited to comics. Sure, he'd contemplated trying anyway, but the risks involved were too much to chance it. Besides that, he was reasonably confident his reality was too far gone for his presence to make a difference. A morbid though for sure, but with how much time had already passed in this world, he shuddered to think the amount of damage that could've occurred.
However, that didn't mean he didn't still take precautions.
Over the years, he'd added as many upgrades to Karen as possible, improving her AI and sensory capabilities. This included scanning for any kind of anomaly like what he'd experienced. That actually proved pretty easy since Karen, despite Peter being unable to communicate with her, was still online when he'd been teleported away and thus had data on what had happened and used that as a basis to detect any future events.
And it looked like it was the right call. Peter quickly tapped the emblem on his tie, causing a swarm of nanobots to spread out from his necktie and promptly cover his entire body, his suit forming almost immediately.
"Karen, I need eyes. What've we got."
"Already ahead of you Peter. Found them almost immediately... though I don't think we need to break out the Mighty Spider for these three."
A series of screens appeared, revealing street views of the three Spiders wandering the city, utterly oblivious to the fact they were being spied on.
Peter quickly took note of the three; Miguel didn't earn much of a reaction, while Peni almost made him swear she was some unknown love child he and Momo somehow had. However, Peter B is where he really got a shock.
Sure, there were apparent differences; Peter B was older by almost two decades and clearly wasn't in the best shape or that fond of hygiene or personal grooming. But otherwise, he was nearly a dead ringer for Peter himself.
"Any idea what they're looking for?"
Karen didn't need to mention that the three were some alternate-universe counterparts. Peter's situation already confirmed the multiverse was real. Though that left the obvious question: Why were they here?
"Not sure, but I've got a pretty good idea." Peter slowly approached the screens, his eyes focusing on each Spider, looking at them with a mixture of surprise, wonder, and... worry.
"Well, no point in dragging this out unnecessarily and possibly dragging any civilians into this." His eyes focused on the tech-like watch around each individual's wrist. "Karen any chance you can hack into those things and send these guys a message."
"And after all these years I thought you had more faith in me. Already on it. What do you want me to say."
Peter chuckled as he again tapped the logo on his suit, causing the machines to retract back into his normal business attire.
"Karen, call Melissa and Mei and tell them to reschedule. Something just came up. Look like we're gonna have to let out the welcome mat for a couple of unexpected guests."
"And what should I tell Momo?"
"Let's wait and see. I'm kind of hoping we can solve this quick enough without making my fiancé angry."
Peter Y changes his focus from his watch to the perfect view of the city skyline from the building's top floor. "Alright, first day back home. Karen, mind filling me in on my schedule for the day?"
(X)
"And I thought the talking Spider Pig was weird... and I just walked past an actual pig guy with a Spider-Man t-shirt. Man, the multi-verse is weird." Peter B quietly mulled to himself as he walked through the Japanese city alone; he didn't remember the name, though it reminded him of Star Wars for some reason.
His mind was still getting used to the concept of Quirks this world operated by, the idea that everyone was born with some crazy ability with no limit on what they could be. And once more, heroes were not only a thing in this world; they were an actual job/profession. IE, they got paid to do this. And not just regular hero work, either.
In the past ten minutes, he'd walked by an electronics store with a young woman with headphone plugs for ears advertising some kind of speaker system, a guy with literal engines in his legs promoting what he thought was some kind of orange-flavored beverage, and an admittedly sexy looking pink alien girl busting some moves in some kind of a music video.
Everywhere he went, he was bombarded by ads, merchandise, billboards, and everything else with countless heroes' faces, leaving him feeling... envious.
That envy only got more prominent when he walked past a store filled to the brim with Spider-Man merch on it: action figures, t-shirts, lunch boxes, all with an admittedly different-looking costume... though even then, he saw a couple of his classic suits there.
"Guy must be pulling in seven figures or something from all the merch he's selling." He thought to himself, while subconsciously touching his own wallet.
Now did Peter B love his life... mostly. He had a beautiful wife, a decent house, a relatively stable income, good friends, and a baby on the way. But that didn't change the fact he'd dealt with near destitution for most of his life, multiple injuries that forced him to leave New York almost defenseless, and more than a few of his own decisions that left him in a pretty bad place for a time. So, seeing all of this was pretty hard to swallow.
"Forget it, different universe, different rules. Just gotta find the guy and get out of here as soon as possible. Just gotta ignore everything else."
Sadly, it seemed this universe had a taste for irony as a nearby electronic billboard lit up, with a familiar face appearing on the screen.
"Greetings World, this is James J Johnson with the Daily Trumpet, with some major news in international heroics. Beloved Number 2 Hero Spider Man, has just finished an international mission here in New York with America's own Number 8 Hero and former Japanese native, The Skycrawler, in bringing down the criminal group known as the Ferocious Five. Through their combined efforts, the heroes were able to subdue the villains with minimum damage to the city and no civilian involvement. As to be expected from New York's own pride and joy."
Peter B barely heard most of what was being said, too busy focusing on the announcer, who had a very familiar-looking grey and black flat top and black mustache, along with that same gruff voice he'd been forced to listen to for years.
He couldn't believe it. "You have got to be KIDDING ME!"
"In other related news the upcoming wedding between Spider Man and his longtime girlfriend, Japan's Number 10 Hero Creati, is looking to be a star-studded event with many famous and beloved heroes past and present in attendance. Unfortunately, this reporter will not be able to attend and while I'm saddened, I will not be able to bring you the up-close scope, being able to report on the exploits of these heroes is reward enough for me."
The camera briefly shifted its direct to just behind Johnson's left shoulder, revealing a framed and signed Spider-Man costume on his wall, with the message: To My Number 1 New York Fan - Spider-Man.
Johnson immediately raised his hand to block out the image. "And that's all we have for this segment... back over to you Gina."
The screen went to another news cycle, while Peter B was just struck stupid, watching the alternate version of the guy who'd made it his personal mission to ruin him... being a fanboy of this version of Spider-Man. He didn't know how to process it.
"This... cannot get any weirder or worse. It just can't."
But it did.
Peter B barely took another couple of steps forward and around the block before he saw something that finally made him break.
"No... no FREAKING WAY!"
In front of him was a rather large building, a restaurant, to be specific. And on the front of it was Spider-Man's face and logo for all to see. Right below it has first the big word: Spidey's
Then below it was the small quote: Bringing the Taste of New York City to YOU
And a quick glance showed the location was packed with people, a line forming just outside with a banner near the logo reading "Celebrating the Opening of our 30th Japanese location."
The sight and the banner caused Peter B to finally feel something inside of him snap, and he had only one response to this.
"It's official, I hate this dimension and I'm pretty sure I hate this guy too." And it was at that exact moment that Peter's watch decided to beep.

At a different area, Miguel quietly walked down the streets, trying to avoid drawing attention to himself as best as he could. Easier said than done.
The futuristic Spider-Man groaned as a couple of women stared and giggled as they walked past, all speaking in Japanese, so he had zero clue what they were saying, but he had some ideas.
"If you wanna get technical, they specifically said you're crazy hot and wondered if you're either a model or some new foreign Pro Hero or both. And they aren't wrong on either count."
Miguel didn't even react to the voice in his ear, already aware of who it was. "Lyla, didn't need the translation on Japanese girls gossiping. I just wanna find the Spider here and hopefully, resolve this entire situation before things get out of hand."
"Don't have to tell me boss, though given what we've been able to gleam so far, this guy's been in this universe for quite a while. And so far, there doesn't appear to be any kind of disruption in this world's stability."
That only served as another point of confusion for Miguel. He'd formed the Spider Society after the Collider incident caused havoc all across the multiverse, and he'd already seen first-hand what could happen if you drop someone from one universe to another for too long… it wasn't pretty. Thus, he'd taken every step possible to ensure that didn't happen, no matter how minor the issue might seem.
So many could imagine when he eventually discovered that not only had the Collider effectively pulled a Spider from his universe to another, but it happened to be a universe that, according to his research, was never supposed to have a Spider-Man to begin with.
Suddenly, a seemingly routine mission required his full attention, and nothing added up despite doing a fair amount of research into this universe. It defied all the rules and patterns he'd come to understand across the Spider-Verse.
Put it simply: It broke canon.
"No matter how things appear, this situation needs to be treated like every other." Miguel looked to his side, being met with several screens depicting the Spider-Man of the universe performing various deeds of heroics, laughing with members of the public, and just seemingly living an ideal life.
Where was the tragedy, the struggle, the loss?
In all his time studying the multiverse, Miguel had learned there were certain absolutes when it came to Spider-Man, and one of them was always a tragedy in that person's life, regardless of who or what they were.
And yet here...
"This guy is living the high-life. No secret identity, popular all over the world, rich by the looks of it and plenty of connections without the strain of keeping your hero life and personal life separate. It's..."
Miguel didn't have a word more to say, simply looking away from the countless images and continuing his walk while trying to understand this baffling situation.
"Was I wrong? Have I been wrong this whole time? Maybe... is it possible that..."
His train of thought is cut off when he hears Lyla. "Boss, incoming message. Someone's trying to hack the watch."
Miguel immediately lifted the watch to his face while looking in every direction for a possible attacker, wishing he'd gotten the trademark Spider-Sense that most other Spiders had.
Yet, even without it, he didn't see any danger or harm coming. Instead, the watch's screen simply read out:
Hello Mr. O'Hara. This is an invitation for you and your friends to meet with Mr. Peter Parker at Parker Tech Industries Tower. A map has been included for your convenience.
We look forward to meeting you face-to-face.
Miguel stared at the invitation, already debating whether or not it was some kind of trap like many other scenarios he'd experienced in his time. "Lyla, how'd they manage to hack us? Where were you?"
"I'm sorry boss but whatever program they've got is a lot more sophisticated than I was expecting. It breached my firewalls before I could do anything and slipped away before I could trace it."
The Future Spider grits his teeth at being outplayed. Evidently, this Spider-Man had more than just popularity on his side, and he couldn't help but glare at the map, with the destination signified by the Spider-Man Logo just to add a bit of humor to the situation.
"So, what's the plan boss?"
"He already knows we're here, no point in trying to hide or cause a commotion, for now we'll play it by ear."
Miguel quickly took off in the direction of the map while wondering how things were going with the rest of his team.
(X)
Unlike the two men, Peni was the one getting more attention from the civilians.
"Is that some kind of new Support Item?"
"Looks new, and the colors match up with Parker Tech's brand, but I don't remember seeing any announcements about it."
"Maybe she's a fan trying to show off her skills for a future job with Parker Tech."
Peni frowned inside her robot, furiously typing away on her consoles, immediately working on digging up whatever info she could on Parker Tech after receiving the same message as Miguel not a minute ago.
If she was gonna follow the map, it best to not go in blind.
"Okay Peter Y, let's find out exactly who you are."
Instantly walls of text about Spider-Man appeared on the screens in front of her, which she quickly started to tear into, scanning over countless paragraphs in seconds with ease. Reading out loud what she's seeing.
"Alright, so graduated from UA High as co-valedictorian with Momo Yaoyarozu, debuted at Spider-Man about a month later, rose to Number 2 ranking in about four months and has been competing with current Number 1 Hero Deku for said spot for the last two years while maintaining a friendly rivalry. Co-Founder of Parker Tech Industries responsible for supplying a variety of inventions across the world including prototype nanobots that have revolutionized the medical field, artificial web fluid for law enforcement and nonlethal villain capture and... Arc Reactor Technology which earned him his first Noble Prize three years after graduating for all but solving the world's energy crisis..."
Peni had to take a moment to sit back in stunned silence at the sheer list of accomplishments this Peter had managed to rack up. Between his seemingly never-ending accolades as a hero and the insane volume of technological breakthroughs, he'd created. It was utterly nuts.
Immediately more focused than ever, she quickly started digging back further to Peter's earlier years, combing through any relevant data she could pull up. And there was a lot.
"Hmm, Peter Parker successfully completes Third year at UA, world awaits newest hero's debut. Upcoming Hero Deku manages to break Parker's two-time winning streak in UA Sports Festival, etching out the gold in a climactic final battle."
Peni's fingers typed even faster as she felt herself getting closer to the truth, now reading excerpts of some news and tabloid articles.
"Breaking News, UA High First Years successfully break up the growing Yakuza organization alongside Number 5 Hero Mirko."
"Next Symbol of Peace found? American transfer student Peter Parker wows all of Japan during UA Sports Festival with an incredible display, spectacularly taking the gold."
"UA High attacked. Villains managed to breach the Unforeseen Simulation Joint on UA Campus, leading to two students, Izuku Midoriya and Peter Parker, being injured, the latter in serious condition. Teachers blamed."
Peni felt herself flinch at a photo showing Peter's battered body, recalling more than a few similar or even more brutal encounters she'd witnessed among the Spiders.
"Surprise adoption. New hero Mt. Lady adopts an orphaned American son of overseas friends after a tragic death. How will the young up-and-comer handle parental responsibility?"
That last part widened Peni's eyes as any attempt to find further details about said Peter's parents or lineage came up short. IE, there was nothing to see whatsoever.
More digging turned up nothing else, leaving Peni with one conclusion.
"This must be when he first appeared in this universe. But wait, that can't be right?"
Going over the numbers again, this Peter Parker was apparently supposed to be 24 years old right now, yet according to this data, he first appeared during his first year of High School. Meaning, he'd have been 15 at the time.
"How come he hasn't been glitching like the rest of us?"
Peni recalled the painful experience of feeling one's as it's slowly ripped apart due to the difference in dimensions, and past experience proved it was not a unique phenomenon. Yet this Parker had been in this foreign dimension for over a decade without issues.
How was that possible?
The young prodigy turned her attention to the map and realized she'd found all she could without consulting the source.
"Guess it's time to finally meet."
Hope you guys enjoyed this initial chapter. Have a few more lined up to go so I'll post them soon and make sure to again keep up with Zaru and the main stories on his page. u/1160708/Zaru.
