Chapter 01: A New Hope

Reema, also known by her other name of Reema Ko, took in a deep breath and looked inside the force.

The base is near. I can sense the presence of the General Barak and his troops.

She let out a resigned sigh.

Finally, I can be rid of my oath properly and return home to my family.

The one thing they never explained to her during her training on Coruscant when it came to becoming a Jedi was the fact that you had to distance yourself from everything and everyone you know. She of course understood the reasons why. The Force granted both Jedi and Sith enormous amounts of power. When you combine that with the acceptance and allowance of emotions, it could cause you to do things you regret. However, she still had a fondness for her old life before the Order. She also had feelings for a certain someone. A certain someone she trusted with her life. Emotions were at the core of her very being. Even when she was knighted by the Council, she still housed emotional connections. Normal people may consider the fact that she hid them away for so long to be…unhealthy. But she swore to herself she would be damned if she were asked to forget the home planet she held dear. As she looked around, she realized she was nearing the entrance to the hideout. "Commander, I want you to send an order to the troops to spread out and surround the base," she ordered as she turned her head to him.

Commander Larissian gave her a nod, "You got it Reema." He then turned to the Clones around him. "Cannonhead Formation men! On the double!" Moving quickly, he and the men of the 222nd "Ravenclaw" Division then quickly surrounded the rogue pirate base.

Reema smirked at him as she watched.

And there he goes again. She then sighed. My hero in shining armor.

She then giggled.

Well…more like Clone in shining armor but the same is the same. I wonder what he'll say when I ask him to run away with me.

She then rushed to join her men. She then unhooked her lightsaber from her belt and put a hand to her communicator. She then twisted the knob to the personal channel she shared with Calor...Mode 2.

Jedi battle communicators had two modes.

One that allowed them to communicate with all their men and one that allowed them to communicate only with Calor.

The communicator wheered on until she heard a clicking sound indicating he picked it up. "Hello?"

She felt herself blush and smiled. "Calor…there's something I need to tell you before we rush off into yet another hail of blasterfire. It's about us."

Calor felt himself blush. He then grunted and sighed. He was suddenly glad that his men couldn't hear him or see the blush currently forming on his cheeks. "Reema…can this wait? We're about to rush into a hail of gunfire and grenades. You know how I get when you starting talking about…us."

Reema smirked and added playfully. "But my love. I thought you Clones were trained for every situation."

He then sighed audibly. "They…never said anything about romance. You know I get all jittery when you talk..in that way."

Reema sighed and smirked.

Got him.

"Are you going to keep being difficult or are you let me talk?"

She then heard another audible sigh. "Fine. But be quick."

Reema smiled and took in a deep breath in. "I want to ask you to run away with me…after we finish this last mission. We stop by Coruscant. I stop by the Jedi Temple and hand in my resignation. You stop by Central Command and do the same."

Calor blinked behind his helmet. "Reema…you want to leave the Order? I thought you told me you weren't. You said that the Order still needed you. That you can't in good conscience stop serving the Republic until the Sith are drawn out and dealt with for good."

Reema smiled, nodding. "I did say that my love…but I have had a change of heart as of late. Though they were only speaking through communicator…he could hear the emotion and pain in her voice. "I've fought strong for so long but I do not have the heart anymore. This war has worn on me. I've lost friends, comrades, and even fellow Jedi. I know I promised Master Bin'alli I'd always stay true to the Order but that is just not possible anymore. I know you can relate. I know you feel the same."

Calor nodded. "I do. I know I do. I can only stare death in the face so many times before I start blinking."

Reema's voice came through again. Her voice was brimming with hope. "So…you'll do it? You'll run away with me?"

"Yeah. One last mission and I'm done. I admit I'll miss the men…especially Getzo…but I'll do it."

He then heard her squeal over the comm.

"Oh! You have no idea how happy you just made me! I love you!"

Hearing the words come out of her mouth caused him to blush. He managed to calm his beating heart and replied. "I….love you too."

Reema giggled over the comm again. "Alright enough of that. We've got pirates to round up."

He then heard the ping indicating the closing of the channel.

He then steeled his emotions readying himself for the fight ahead. Switching his comms to Mode 1, he spoke out, making sure to keep his voice authoritative and strong. "Commander! What's the order!"

Reema smiled to herself. "You and your men toss in some smoke grenades to cover and cause confusion. Then...fall and keep the pirate bastards busy. I will sneak in, cut my way through them and try to find the leader."

"Sounds like a plan."

He then walked over to the opening and peeked in.

There seemed to be about thirty to forty pirates in the small fort. Some of them were manning a machine gun.

He then looked towards his men. "Okay. Plan Snow. Smoke then ambush. The Master Jedi will fall in behind us."

All of the men then gave him a nod and primed their blaster rifles.

All of them, including Calor, activated their smoke grenades.

They all then threw them in the room. Shouts of confusion rang out from the pirates.

Calor then gave all of his men a nod. "For the Republic!"

The men roared along with him as their screams were suddenly drowned out by the sounds of gunfire and grenades.

Reema just smirked as she pulled down her hood and grabbed both lightsabers by the hilt off her belt, activating both of them with a single motion. She had to admit…part of her took thrill in the act of combat. She used a variant of Form 5 called Shiem. The form allowed her to both stage attacks quickly and the ability for a mobile defense. She then rushed through the gang of hapless pirates and began cutting through them making her ways up the stairs.

Using the Force, she Force pushed the door open. She then rushed in. There stood a rather menacing man in a strange getup. He had twin blaster pistols. He then looked up at her and smirked. "Well hello there beautiful. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Reema glared at him and raised her lightsabers at him. "Reema Ko. Jedi Knight. By the order of the Republic…I am placing you under arrest. You have one chance to surrender."

Gharus the Terrible grinned at her. "Aw how cute! You want to put me under arrest? How adorable!" He then rested a hand on one of his handguns. "You best get moving darlin'. Scram or I'll have to ruin that pretty little face of yours."

Reema glared at him. "I'd say the same for you. I'm no pushover myself." She then raised one at him threatening. "Last chance."

He then rushed at her firing with both guns. She blocked the bolts with her saber. He kept firing. She kept blocking bolts, slowly closing in on the distance between her and her opponent. Using her dexterity, she managed to kick out his leg from under him. This caused him to drop his guns.

Damn it. She's good. Too good.

He then tried to back up against the wall overlooking his compound.

There was a glass covering overlooking the entire compound. Thinking ahead, He primed a thermal detonator and grinned at her. "Let's see you dodge this Jedi!" He then tried to throw it at her.

Luckily she acted quickly and Force pushed it so it would remain in his hand.

His eyes widened as he took in the situation. "No…No!" Eventually, the thermal detonator exploded, taking the man's hand with it. He howled and screamed in pain. "My hand!"

Reema just shook her head. "I tried to warn you." She then glared. "Now…that was only part of what I'm truly capable of. You really want to test me more?"

Ghazon looked up at her with fear in his eyes. He knew he was beat. "No…no more. Please no more."

Reema nodded. "Much better! Let's go! On your feet!"

Moments later

Calor and the rest of the men had soon succeeded in subduing the rogue pirate force.

Calor then pressed a hand to the communicator in his helmet. He then switched it to Mode 2. "Alema…you okay? Do you have the pirate king under custody?"

Silence responded. "Reema?"

More silence.

Getzo then called out. "Sir! It's the Jedi! She has the pirate leader in custody!"

Calor then looked up at the balcony.

Reema was walking down with a defeated looking man in her hands. He was haggard looking and dressed in scavenger clothes.

Reema smiled when she saw him, speaking in a cheery voice. "Commander! Good to see you!"

Calor blinked and unsealed his helmet, pulling it off. "You okay?"

Reema giggled and smiled. "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"

Calor scoffed and turned his back to her. His face reddened. "No reason."

The blue-skinned, tall Twi'lek just smirked with crossed arms. She couldn't help but tease him a small bit. "Aww Commander. Were you worried?"

Calor growled a little bit and glared at her. He disguised his concern for her through what one would call professional courtesy and respect. "I'm your commanding officer Master Reema. It's my job to make sure you make it from every mission safe. I assure you my interest in your personal safety is purely professional"

Reema smirked and spoke in a rather flirtatious tone. "Of course it is." She then motioned Ghazon forward. "Alright you. Let's go."

Calor sighed in irritation as he put his helmet back on. "Men. Follow her out." He then walked out, following Reema and the chained prisoner.

Moments later

A local Dantoonian patrol force then drove by to pick up the pirate leader and his men.

Reema was taking the moment to meditate on the events of the day. Moreover, she was thinking about how this was the last mission. She had felt nervous asking her secret boyfriend to run off to explore the galaxy with her. She knew of his dedication to the Republic Army and despite the fact that they had talked about it before…she knew it would have been a gamble either way. The good news was that he wasn't leaving anyone behind she needed to worry about. From their talks over the years, Calor had been orphaned on the streets of Ord Mantell. His parents had both died from crime-related attacks and his younger brother was…to her knowledge…missing.

It was a different story for her though. She still had family on the planet Tython. Reema's family was descended from a line of Twi'lek Pilgrims dating all the way back to the days of the Old Republic. Her family were simple farmers. Her mother, father and younger brother were still there. She smiled to herself. Mother. Father. Brother. I'm coming home.

Calor meanwhile was directing the cleanup effort, issuing orders helmetless. "Clean this up on the double! Prepare for departure!"

The men scrambled to fufill his orders. He then sat himself down on a log. He then picked up his helmet and stared at it. No more battles. A part of me feels relief at that but also…unsure.

He then unholstered his DC-17 blaster rifle staring at it intently. All I know…is how to fight…or shoot at things. I wonder where Reema and I are going to go though. I'd recommend Ord Mantell but that place is an utter dungheap. Otherwise…maybe Hoth? I don't know.

His holo-communicator then whirred up. He then quickly grabbed it off his hip and activated it. "Yes?"

The holoimage of a wrinkled old man with a dark hood covering half his face then appeared. His voice was dry and heavily nasal. "Commander Larissian? This is Chancellor Palpatine."

Calor just nodded, blinking at the image. "Yes?"

The nasal voice continued. "Execute Order 66. Kill Jedi Knight Reema Ko."

Something then whirred off in Calor's head. A message kept playing..again…and..again.

Palpatine then continued. "The Jedi Order has betrayed the glorious Republic you have sworn to protect. They even tried to assassinate me in my chambers! This is a crime that will not stand!"

Calor nodded, almost as if he were under a trance. "I understand. What would you have me do? What are my orders?"

"Kill Jedi Knight Reema Ko. She is now an enemy agent of our beloved Republic. Do whatever it takes to fulfill your mission. Am I clear?"

Calor nodded almost obediently. "Of course..sir." He then cut off the connection. Something about this situation isn't right. Reema would never betray the Republic. I'm with her almost all day. Sure…she's a bit of a maverick when it comes to the Jedi Code…or at least what I know of it but she'd never turn traitor. This makes no sense. Why do I feel a sudden need to kill her? The thoughts soon were overpowered by the orders transplanted on the chip implanted within his skull. He stood up, not even bothering to grab his helmet and primed his blaster rifle. He then opened up the holocommunicator on his wrist, switching it to Mode 2. "Men! New orders! Find Jedi Master Reema Ko! She and her Jedi ilk have betrayed the Republic! We will set up a trap here at base camp! When I see her…I want you all to fall in and surround her! Give her no chance of escape!" He heard his men reaffirm the order "Yes sir!"

Calor then walked off without another word.

Moments later

Reema, meanwhile, had decided to go on a little walk to clear her head. When she came back to the camp, she found it abandoned. She tapped her chin for a moment. Hmm. That's weird. Calor isn't the type to just order the men off base…at least not without informing me first. I don't like this. Acting quickly, she ignited her long saber and short blade. "Calor? Where did you go?" She suddenly felt an extreme disturbance in the force. The sound of what seemed to be a thousand screams rang in her head. "Aaah!" She then shook it off. What was that? That was like…a thousand screams all at once. Something…is…wrong. Very wrong.

Spotting her, Calor then began walking up to her with cold determination in his eyes. She then turned to her right and saw him. Her tone immediately turned flirtatious as she quickly disengaged her lightsabers, hooking them to her belt. "Wanted some alone time with me I take it? And you call me a maverick."

He said nothing and brought his wrist communicator to his face. "Men…fall in." Suddenly the men of the "Ravenclaw" Squad then burst out of their hiding places, weapons out.

Reema went from flirtatious and joking to nervous. She looked over at Calor with shock and sadness in her eyes. "Calor. What's going on?"

Calor just glared at her and raised his own rifle. "By the order of Chancellor Palpatine…Reema Ko….you are under arrest for conspiring with the Jedi Council to murder Chancellor Palpatine."

Reema could not believe what she was hearing. "What? Conspiring to murder the Chancellor? That's insane! I've served the Republic for years with honor! Granted…I'm no fan of the Wars but...I'd never commit treason against the Republic! Neither would my brothers and sisters in the Order! You've been lied to..my love." She knew it was a risk letting his men know of their true relationship but she knew that he was under some kind of control. She hoped reminding him of his place in her heart would bring him back to her.

Calor primed his blaster rifle. So did the others. Calor then shouted, "On my order!"

Reema couldn't believe her eyes. My own Commander. The man I respect. The man I love…is going to kill me. Why? What is happening? She then turned around to all the men. I could probably bust my way out of here but I can't leave Calor behind! We've come too far together! I need a plan! Something to distract him and the others. An idea came to her mind. Oh! I know! I'll put them all to sleep with a Jedi Mind Trick! Their minds are robotically programmed but that should confuse them for a while…then I grab Calor and get us far away! Acting quickly, she waved a hand in front of all them, "You do not want to kill me."

All of them except Calor repeated her words. "We do not want to kill you."

Calor just blinked. What is going on?

Reema waved the hand again. "You all are feeling tired. Very tired." Some of the men started to yawn.

Others started to lay down in order to take a nap. Soon all of them were on the ground asleep.

Calor then glared at his men, barking at them. "What are you fools doing? We have a mission to complete! Get up! Get up!"

Reema smiled. Thank the Force it worked. I would have hated to have to kill these men. They have served me and the Republic honorably. I owe them this. She then heard the priming of a rifle and saw Calor glaring at her with daggers in his eyes with his rifle pointed at her. "You! Jedi! What have you done to my men! My comrades!"

She just smiled warmly at him. "At ease…Calor. I'm sorry. They were going to kill me. I had to find a way to take them out non-lethally. They will live. They are my friends."

Calor growled. "Friends? That's rich! You don't care for them! You don't even care for me! It's just like the Chancellor said! You used us…the people of the Republic! The people who depended on you! Who trusted you…to protect us! You used us to fufill your Council's goals! Your Council's goals for power! For domination!"

Reema then spoke worriedly. "Calor…my love…You know that isn't true. The Jedi live to serve the people of the Republic! All we have ever wanted to do is use our powers to help those in need." She then sighed and placed a hand on the barrel of his gun, making sure to look him in the eyes. "The Chancellor is lying to you, my precious Commander…my precious human. He's put you under some sort of mind control. Please believe me. I'd never hurt you…much less the people of the Republic." She then kissed him again, pleading with him. "Please don't kill me. I love you." Upon hearing the words "I love you",

Calor stopped and blinked for a moment. He then dropped his rifle. "I...don't know. I…"

Reema then smiled and caressed his face with a hand. "Perhaps this will remind you." She then summoned her psychic aura. It was a blue aura that formed around her body. She then pressed her lips against his. The trick to break the mind control worked as his eyes widened. She then pulled back smiling. "Come back to me."

His pupils suddenly returned to normal. He then took a good look around. "What happened?"

She hugged him shaking. "The Chancellor tried to get you to kill me. I don't know why. I had no choice but to knock out your men with a Jedi Mind Trick."

He blinked at her and grasped at his head. It was pounding.

Reema blinked at him. "What's wrong my love?"

Calor grunted. "My head. I…remember…The Chancellor…order…something is wrong here. You aren't the enemy."

The Jedi-Clone couple were interrupted however, when they heard the priming of many blaster rifles.

They turned and saw all the Clones raising their blaster rifles at them.

Calor cursed to himself. Damn. This…isn't good.

Getzo then walked up and glanced over at Calor. "Sir! What happened here!"

Calor looked around.

All of the other men were glancing at him equally confused.

He then turned to Reema.

She looked up at him with fear in her eyes. She quietly whispered. "They're still under Palpatine's control my love. I don't want to hurt them but I can't let them take me in. I need your help here. Please."

Calor blinked at her, immediately understanding the situation.

Getzo then removed his helmet and stared at his commanding officer. He's hesitating to act out the Chancellor's orders. Why is that? "Sir! Your orders?"

Calor then sighed and took Reema's hands in his. "Okay. You remember...that one time on Sollust. Where I played guard and you played prisoner to get into the Black Sun base?"

She happily nodded. "I do."

Calor nodded. "We'll have to do it again."

Reema smiled at him affectionately. "I knew I could count on you." She then proceeded to play the act of a scared Jedi. She screamed. "No! No! I won't go back! No!" She began trying to fake run, making sure to not so fast that Calor couldn't catch her. He then tackled her to the ground and pinned her hands behind her back. "Not so fast Jedi scum!"

Reema smirked to herself. She was rather enjoying the roleplay the two were engaged in. She then began crying fake tears on command. "How could you? How could all of you? I cared about you all. I treated you all like family."

Calor then forced her to her feet. "Come on now. Move along." She smirked to herself as she spotted the men following along with Calor's orders. He is a genius. An absolute genius.

Moments later

Calor and his troops were marching a cuffed Reema to the spot where there ships were.

As the ships came in over the horizon, Getzo finally voiced his concerns.

The Commander had been acting rather strange since he last woke up. He was somewhat suspicious. "Sir! Are you sure you don't need me to take the Jedi? Wouldn't it be more paramount of you to let me take her in? That way…you can keep an eye out for any of her traitorous friends."

Reema blinked and felt her heart stop a moment. Is Getzo onto us?

Calor sighed as he switched his helmet to Mode 2. "Getzo! Does it not percure you that the failure of this mission rests solely on you following orders as requested! We traveled here alone! There is nothing around but sand, scavengers, and dead pirates! Your job is to make sure that we all get to the landing pad alive! Am I clear?"

Getzo's panicked voice came over the comm. "N-No sir! I understand! I'll stay quiet!"

Calor just nodded. "Good."

Once they came up to the hill where both the Hope and the squad ship for the 222nd Squad, Calor put his hand on Reema's shoulder and turned her around.

She glanced at him wide-eyed. "Calor?"

He then whispered into her ear. "Smoke. Breakout. Escape."

She smiled at him nodding. "Sounds like a plan." He then used his authoritative tone. "Getzo! Up at center!"

Getzo marched up to him and saluted. "Sir!"

Calor then walked over to him discreetly, unhooking a Type 6 flash grenade and placing it behind his back. "Who do you serve Getzo?"

Getzo then took off his helmet and stared at him. He looked a bit dumbfounded. "I..serve you…and the Republic Army sir! To the last man!"

The men repeated his words in thunderous agreement "To the last man!" He then asked another question. "What was our last order?"

Getzo blinked at him. "Order 66 sir. We have been order to kill every Jedi we serve."

Calor nodded, his face remaining stone cold, "The reason? Who gave the order?"

Getzo replied again. "The Jedi…have betrayed the Republic Army and the constituents we serve. They tried to assassinate the Chancellor in a bid to take over the whole Republic! A grave crime!"

He then scowled. "As for who…it was the Chancellor himself."

Calor then turned to Reema. She blinked at him confused before realizing why he was staring at her. He's trying to confirm all that I told him. A sly smirk came to her lips. As expected of the man I love. He always double checks. She then smiled at Calor and nodded.

He then turned quickly to Getzo. "Answer this next one carefully Getzo. Do you plan on carrying out these orders?"

The older man nodded as did all of the men surrounding them. "I do sir! Orders are orders! To go against the Chancellor of the Republic is treason of the highest order!"

Calor sighed inwardly. "I see." He then took a good look around the field. I've got about thirty men in this platoon. If Reema and I decide to fight them…It's going to get violent. I need a distraction…something to buy me time to break her out of those Force cuffs. A flash grenade might work. I...hate to do this but something smells real rotten about this whole situation. I can't let them take Reema..but something tells me talking things out won't work either. It was only through our connection that she managed to save me. He then twisted the flash grenade five noches to the right, activating it with a beeping noise.

Calor let out a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry Getzo. You were the best second-in-command I ever had but I can't risk you taking Reema. I love her. I also don't intend on living my days in a Republic prison cell once you know I'm not under the Chancellor's control anymore.." He then removed his helmet with one hand. He then put the flash grenade genty into his helmet and tossed it at Getzo and ran over to Reema.

Getzo blinked after him shocked, "Sir? What are you…"

Getzo then realized what he was doing. He's…committed treason. No. "Sir…what…" He didn't have much time to take in the man's words before the smoke grenade went off, quickly blanketing the entire hill with smoke.

The men quickly dropped their weapons and began coughing erratically.

Getzo let out a scream as the smoke burned his eyes. He soon fell to his knees.

Calor quickly rushed over to Reema and quickly unlocked the Force cuffs. He then quickly handed her her lightsabers. "Okay we don't have much…"

He was stopped when she grabbed his face and leaned in for a kiss before quickly breaking it, smirking at him. "My hero."

He then grabbed hers, his hands shaking. "You…always do that at the worst times." He then sighed and grabbed her face, kissing her back quickly.

She then put her hands over his smirking. "I know. Have to keep you on your toes."

He then sighed blushing. He then shook his head. "Never mind that. What do we do?" She then sighed and ran her hand through his hair. "What we do best. Try to talk this out and if that fails…we fight…together."

Calor then sighed. "If we must."

The two then walked towards the group of disoriented men.

Alema drew her lightsabers in Shien form and Calor drew his blaster rifle.

Getzo glared at the two of them as he regained his bearings. He then shook his head. "Commander Larissian has betrayed the Repubic! He has committed treason against the Republic! Take him and the Jedi in…dead or alive!"

Reema then got serious. "Stick close to me Calor!"

He nodded.

The two then rushed into action cutting their way through the platoon of men. Reema, a highly skilled Jedi and master of the Shien form, cut her way through.

Calor, meanwhile, found some cover behind a tree and began firing at every man he could find. Many of them were unable to land a bolt on him because he was so accurate.

One of them rushed at him with his vibroblade drawn.

Calor sighed, dropped his rifle and activated his own. He clashed hard with the other soldier, meeting him strike for strike. He then landed an easy strike in the gut and pulled the vibroblade out of the man's stomach.

The man collapsed to the ground in pain.

Reema, meanwhile, spun around in a circle cutting through eight men.

She rushed at another group and then engaged them.

Calor then came face to face with Getzo.

The man was breathing heavily. Calor could see that his eyes were burned bad. "You! Traitor! You betrayed your oath!"

Calor sighed. "You were one of the best we had! Why switch sides? Why now?"

Calor just stared him down. "Because we are being told to cut down our Generals. The very men and women we have served with for years. There is something wrong. There is something very wrong about all this brother. You must feel it in your soul."

Getzo glared at him and raised his vibroblade. "Oh I feel something alright. I feel betrayal. I feel anger. I looked up to you. Served under your command with pride." He then glared at him even fiercer. "And…you throw it all away for some Twi'lek. Not even one of your own kind. Disgraceful. You should be ashamed of your military honor."

Calor shook his head. "What honor would I have dooming an innocent woman to her execution? I have enough on my conscience thank you."

Getzo glared. "No more talk!" He then rushed at him, aggressively meeting him strike for strike.

Calor sighed. He's getting sloppy. Time to trip him up. He then struck Getzo hard in the ribs with the blade.

The man howled in pain and made a desperate attempt to hit back with a fist. It connected with Calor's face, knocking him back hard and drawing blood.

Getzo then threw another one. It connected.

Calor then growled and tackled him to the ground.

The two began viciously trading punches while trying to get the upper hand on the other.

Calor then drew a knife intending to stab Getzo in the chest.

Getzo grabbed the knife and managed to turn the bladed end towards Calor.

Calor tried to push it back but found himself overpowered by his much stronger second in command. As the blade got closer to his armor…he continued to try to push back. This…isn't good. He's overpowering me.

Getzo glared. "Say your prayers…Commander." Then Getzo felt himself get hit by yellow lightning. He hit the trunk of a tree trunk hard knocking himself unconscious.

Calor, now able to get his bearings, let out a loud gasp for air. He then quickly turned to his left and saw Reema glaring at Getzo. "Get away from him!"

She then walked over to Calor smiling. She then offered a hand. "Need a hand?"

He then took her hand and she pulled him to his feet.

The two then hugged. "I'm so glad you are okay.."

As Calor looked around, he saw carcasses of his men…his comrades.

They were all dead. The guilt suddenly rushed over him. "My…men! I killed them!"

He started bawling and crying into her shoulder.

Reema sighed, holding him close. "I know. I'm sorry my love. I wish we had been given another choice." She then looked around. The coast is clear…for now. Calor began mumbling to himself, shuddering. "There's…nowhere to go. We're criminals now. Fugitives. Nowhere to go…"

She then kissed him and took his hands into hers. "No. We can go to my home village…Reanorok..on the planet Ryloth. It's low-key. Off the radar. There are nothing but farmers and vendors there. We'll be safe there."

Calor nodded, speaking with a stutter, "You..um…sure about that? Will your people be accepting of humans?"

Reema smiled. "I'm sure…my love. Come. We need to go now. No doubt they are going to send reinforcements soon." She then led him by the hand towards her Jedi starfighter, hitting a button on her wrist console.

The ramp to the Hope then opened up and landed in the sandy dirt.

The two then rushed up the ramp.

Reema Ko then closed it by hitting the button.

Getzo still stood there unconscious.

Kitchen

Inside the Hope

Reema then helped her Clone boyfriend sit down on one of the loveseats. "Sit here for now. I'll be back with some lemonade.."

He just nodded. "Okay."

She then activated the ship console. Console online. State destination.

Reema then hit a button. "Ryloth. Right away." She then heard some beeping noises. Destination: Ryloth. Taking off immediately.

The ship then shot forward on its wheels.

Reema then rushed to the dispenser and pressed a button. "lemonade with ice." A voice spoke back. Dispensing two glasses of lemonade with ice. Once it had enough runway…it then took off with the boosters engaging.

Luckily, it didn't shake the inside of the ship a lot.

She then rushed to Calor's side and sat down beside him.

He then looked around. "The..ship just took off…quickly and quietly. How is that possible?"

Reema Ko smirked and sat down with both glasses in her hand.

He took one and began to sip from it. She then put an arm around him sipping her own. "Jedi starfighters are the top of their class Calor. Made to engage enemy vessels and made to take off in a hurry if need be.

He smiled at her and laughed a bit. "Good to know."

He then sat his glass on the table in front of him and rubbed at his eyes. "This…has all happened so fast."

She then put a hand on his shoulder and leaned him into her. "I know my love. I know. I'm here." She then sighed. "There's nowhere else I'd want to be right now."
