Ch 1
"New York. Queens." a loud voice sounded as skyscrapers whizzed by the camera. "It's a rough borough but hey, it's home."
"Who are you talking to?" a gruff voice asked.
"No one." the loud voice replied. "Just making a video of the trip."
"You know you can't show that to anyone, right?" the gruff voice grumbled.
"Yeah, I know." Who would I even show it to? "It's just for fun."
"Uh huh." the gruff voice grunted.
"So, why'd they call you Happy?" I asked.
The privacy window raised, quickly ending the conversation. He wasn't much of a talker.
This entire day was like something out of a dream.
I still couldn't believe that I, Petra Parker, was in the back of a limo.
And not just any limo.
The limo of Toni Stark aka Iron Woman and driven by her bodyguard Happy Hogan!
I still don't know how he possibly ended up with that name.
He hadn't even smiled once since he met me.
After that, we boarded Toni's jet at her own private airport and this was my first time on one.
And it had an autopilot. So cool!
The leather seats were just fine, TVs were everywhere so I never got bored, and there was even an Avengers pinball machine!
"This your first time on a private plane?" Happy asked.
Was that a smile or a smirk?
"First time on any plane." I admitted. "Should it be making that noise?"
But Happy had already gone to sleep.
"Shhh." I whispered to the camera.
Then I slowly crept up to him until he suddenly jolted awake and I burst out laughing as Happy scowled.
Surprisingly, I actually managed to sleep and the ride to Germany didn't even feel that long.
Then I was in another limo with Happy speeding past towering architecture and before I knew it we were at the hotel already that was way bigger than May's apartment in Queens.
"No one has actually told me why I'm in Berlin." I continued narrating. "Or what I'm doing. Something about Captain America going crazy."
"This is you." Happy said as he pointed to my room which was right next to his.
"We're neighbors?" I asked.
"We're not roommates." Happy said. "Suit up."
A few minutes later...
"Okay, you got this."
"What the hell are you wearing?"
"It's my suit." I replied, looking down at my red and blue Spider-Suit that I'd made myself with a sewing machine.
Then Happy showed me into another room with a metal case.
I picked up a note from Toni that read: A minor upgrade.
"A minor upgrade?" I asked before unlocking the case.
The case unfolded to reveal a brand-new Spider-Suit.
"Oh my god!" I said.
It was a shiny magnificent work of art and the eyes made it look like a skintight Iron Woman suit!
It was beautiful!
It made my homemade suit look like a Halloween costume.
This was the proper Spider-Girl suit!
"This is way better than mine!" I blurted out.
"Let's go!" Happy said.
I went to an airstrip with Iron Woman's Team to fight Captain America's Team and I webbed my phone to the wing of an airplane, turned on the camere and...
"Whoa, there's Iron Woman and Captain America! And War Machine! And Black Widow! Wait, who's that cat guy?"
"Underoos!" Iron Woman said.
"I gotta go!" I said into the camera. "Wish me luck!"
THWIP! I shot a web and yanked Cap's shield as I flipped onto a truck, grinning at her surprised expression.
That was awesome!
"Hey, everyone." I said.
Then the Clash of the Avengers began!
Good thing I got it on camera because I could hardly remember any of it!
I remember catching the Winter Soldier's metal arm, taking down Captain America by going for her legs, and taking down Giant-Man, Empire Strikes Back-style.
Yep, it's those great moments that phone cameras were made for.
A few hours later I was in my apartment doing my video breakdown
"And I just flipped in and i grabbed Cap's shield like-!"
Then Happy knocked and I opened the door.
"We have thin walls here." he grumbled.
"Sorry." I said sheepishly.
Later I was in yet another limo with Happy driving and Toni was in the back on her phone.
When we pulled up at my apartment, Toni looked up at me.
"You did good, kid."
Yes!
"Does this mean I'm an Avenger?"
"It definitely does not."
Oh.
"Don't forget the suit."
"I can keep it?"
"Yeah, it's yours. Don't do anything I would do. And definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do. There's a little gray area in there and that's where you operate."
Then Toni opened the door for me and I stepped out with the case.
"So when's our next mission?" I asked.
"We'll call you." Toni said.
"Guess I'll be seeing you around, Happy." I said to the car.
Happy's window lowered but he didn't say anything before Toni closed her door and the car drove off.
I took out my phone and looked right at the camera to add one last update:
"They're gonna call me!"
I was going to be an Avenger!
