Then the next morning, Skye woke up and went back to work.
Then Thomas chugged up.
"Thomas, I'm very sorry that I didn't listen to your warning," Skye said. "I didn't know that will happen and I didn't know that it happened to you."
"It's alright, Skye," Thomas said. "It's kind of hard to listen to a warning when you're new to a place and it's much harder to pull an express, especially three or more coaches, that is filled with people than pulling empty coaches."
Then Percy chugged up.
"Hello, Thomas," Percy said.
"Hello, Percy," Thomas said.
"And who is this?" Percy asked.
"This is Skye," Thomas said. "She's the new tank engine that arrived four days earlier."
"And Skye, this is Percy," Thomas said. "He's my best friend who helps me on my branch line."
"Well, pleased to meet you, Percy," Skye said.
"I'm pleased to meet you too, Skye," Percy said.
"I thought she was going to help you on your branch line, Thomas," Percy said.
"She is but she has to shunt small coaches and fetch them as well," Thomas said. "And also shunt big coaches as well."
"I see," Percy said. "Well, I better get back to work."
Then Percy chugged up to Annie and Clarabel and was coupled up to Annie.
Then Percy chugged up to Knapford and then blew his whistle and the passengers got on board.

"I asked Gordon to take a special train of goods on Periwinkle Freight Cars to the Mainland and then he has to take passengers on Periwinkle Coaches in the Mainland and he did as Rina. And I asked Henry to do Gordon's job while he is away and I asked Sina to to Rina's job while she is away and Edward, Lina, James, and Tina are busy at the docks and delivering supplies to the quarry and the mine. So, Thomas, I want you to take Edward's train and James's train and work on the mainline," Sir Topham Hatt said.
"Yes, sir!" Thomas said.
"Now, Skye, I want you to fetch those coaches!" Sir Topham Hatt said.
"Excuse me, sir, I hate to interrupt but I don't think Skye knows what coaches you're talking about," Thomas said. "The coaches that we were shunting today were not part of Edward's trains and James's train but Skye had to shunt other coaches, Old Coaches, for James and Edward as Bill and Ben has brought those coaches all the way to the Quarry and Duck had to bring them back."
"Sorry about the confusion but can you shunt those coaches, Skye?" Sir Topham Hatt asked.
"I can, sir, but can you tell me which ones are Edward's coaches and which ones are James's coaches?" Skye asked.
"The crimson ones are James's coaches and the navy ones are Edward's coaches," Sir Topham said.
"Now, shunt them," Sir Topham Hatt said.
"Yes, Sir!" Skye said.

Then Thomas chugged up.
"Is something wrong?" Thomas asked worriedly.
"I always to have to shunt coaches and help push them too! I really wish that I can do something different!" Skye said.
"Don't worry," Thomas said. "You'll just help me start with them today."
Then Sir Topham Hatt arrived.
"Thomas, I want you to take the trains tomorrow and the day after that since the Railway Inspector will be coming here and the Railway Manager. They want James and Edward to pull Old Coaches to see if they're wearing out and are still likely to be repaired," Sir Topham Hatt said. "And Skye, I want you to the same thing as you did today for tomorrow and the day after that."
"Yes, Sir!" Skye said.
"Yes, Sir," Thomas said sadly,
"What's the matter, Thomas?" Sir Topham Hatt asked.
"It's about Skye, Sir," Thomas said. "She's getting fed up with fetching coaches and also helping me start them. Can she at least not help me start them, please?"
"Well, Thomas, Skye needs to help start coaches but because she has been doing very well, I will let her not help you start the coaches the day after tomorrow," Sir Topham Hatt said.
"Thank you, Sir!" Thomas said.
"You're welcome, Thomas," Sir Topham Hatt said.
"Thank you, Thomas," Skye said.

Then four hours later, Thomas arrived and the passengers got off and Skye took the coaches away.
Then Skye was seen shunting coaches, especially Old Coaches, and then became cross.
Then Thomas chugged up.
"What's the matter, Skye?" Thomas asked, concerned.
"I'm just fed up with having to shunt coaches!" Skye said. "And that's not all since I always have stay in Knapford! I'm tired of being stuck in one place! I only went to one place when Gordon pulled me there but I want to see more or another place!"
"I see," Thomas said. "Well, if something comes up, I'll be sure ask Sir Topham Hatt something."
"Thank you, Thomas," Skye said.
"You're welcome, Skye," Thomas said.
Then Thomas and Skye went back to Tidmouth Sheds.
Then Skye grumbled up about fetching and shunting coaches, which made Percy and the other engines cross.
"Skye is being a grumpy boiler today," Percy said.
"No, she's not, Percy," Thomas said. "She's just grumbling about the fact that she only shunts and fetch coaches."
Then Percy became sad.
"Oh, sorry, Skye," Percy said.
Then Skye became happy.
"It's okay, Percy," Skye said.
"And anyway, Skye, if you keep on grumbling, you will keep us awake and we will not be fully awake tomorrow, and you won't be able to do your work properly," Percy said.
"And I told Skye, if something comes up, then I'll ask Sir Topham Hatt something," Thomas said.
"And what something is that?" Percy asked.
"I'll ask him if Skye could come with me," Thomas answered.
The other engines were shocked.
"That's a bad idea, Thomas," Henry snorted. "She will most likely get in trouble."
"No, she won't, Henry," Thomas said.
"I agree with Henry, Thomas," Sina snorted. "Newcomers are most likely to get in trouble."
"No, she won't, Sina," Thomas said.
"How would you know?" James asked. "I was new and got in an accident because of the Foolish Freight Cars and also because of my wooden brakes so the same thing could happen to Skye."
"No, she won't get in trouble and she won't get in an accident," Thomas said.
"How do you know that?" Tina asked. "You can't and I was also new and got in an accident and bumped into Fuel Tankers so I agree with James that Skye could get in an accident."
"No, she won't get in trouble," Thomas said.
"You're not answering the question, Thomas," Edward said. "How do you know that that she won't get in trouble?"
"Um..." Thomas said.
"Come on, answer the question," Lina said. "How do you know such a thing like that?"
"Well, I don't," Thomas said.
"We knew it!" Henry, Sina, James, Tina, Edward, and Lina said.
"He wasn't done talking," Percy said. "And I know what he's talking about!"
"What?" Henry, Sina, James, Tina, Edward, and Lina asked.
"I'll ask him," Percy said.
"Thomas, are you gonna let Skye come with you without being coupled to something and going next to you?" Percy asked.
"No, that's dangerous," Thomas said.
"Then what did you mean that you know that she won't get in an accident," Henry, Sina, James, Tina, Edward, and Lina asked.
"I meant that I know that she won't get in an accident because if I have to pull some special coaches or special cars then I'll get her coupled up to the last coach or car and take her with me and then she will get uncoupled and get to the other stations' yards and she won't get in trouble because I will keep an eye on her," Thomas said.
"That is a very good idea, Thomas," Percy said. "She won't get in trouble if you're with her."
"That might be true, Percy, and we also that think that is a very a good idea but she still can get in trouble," Henry, Sina, James, Tina, Edward, and Lina said. "And what we're worried about now is about Bill and Ben and their tricks."
"Don't worry, I'm not taking her to the Quarry, I'm taking her on the Mainline and first we will go to Crossby and then go to Wellsworth and then we will come back here," Thomas said.
"Oh, then we had nothing to worry about," Henry, Sina, James, Tina, Edward, and Lina said.
"Okay, and Skye, you should stopped grumbling and don't start grumbling again so you would be able to rest so you can get that special treat if that something special happens," Percy said.
"Okay, Percy," Skye said. "I won't."
Then Thomas, Skye, Edward, Lina, James, Tina, Henry, Sina, and Percy fell asleep.
Then the next morning, Thomas, Skye, Edward, Lina, James, Tina, Henry, Sina, and Percy woke up.
"Edward, Lina, James, Tina, Henry, and Sina, I want you to take a lot of Old Coaches since the Rescue Team and the Explore Team is coming today," Sir Topham Hatt said. "They want to see if you engines are really useful indeed."
"Yes, sir!" Edward, Lina, James, Tina, Henry and Sina said.
"And you can take your other coaches too," Sir Topham Hatt said. "And your coaches have been shunted by Duck so you don't have to waste time."
"Percy, I want you take Thomas's role on the branch line," Sir Topham Hatt said.
"Thomas, I want you to take a something special for me," Sir Topham Hatt said.
"I want you to take those coaches that you were shunting with Skye when she first got here," Sir Topham Hatt said. "There will be a lot of passengers today and everyone else is very busy."
"Yes, Sir!" Thomas said.
"And Skye, you have to shunt and fetch coaches," Sir Topham Hatt said.
"Um, Sir Topham Hatt, can Skye please go with me to Crossby and then Wellsworth?" Thomas asked. "She's getting annoyed of having to stay in one place all the time, so can she can go with me?"
"Well, Thomas, she can but you must keep an eye on her," Sir Topham Hatt said.
Then Thomas and Skye smiled.
"Thank you, Sir!" Thomas said. "And don't worry, I will keep an eye on her!"
"And Skye, if you are going with Thomas, then make sure you follow his orders, warnings, and advises as I will be very busy today," Sir Topham Hatt said.
"Yes, Sir!" Skye said.
"Good, then I'll let the stationmaster know to not uncoupled Skye," Sir Topham Hatt said.
Then Sir Topham Hatt left the area.
Then Edward, Lina, James, Tina, Henry, and Sina puffed away and collected their coaches and then chugged away.
Then Percy puffed away and collected Annie and Clarabel and went to the station.
Then Thomas chugged away and went to Knapford.
Then Skye fetched the four Red Coaches and brought them to the middle track.
Then Skye fetched the four Blue Coaches and brought them to the middle track.
Then Skye fetched the four Yellow Coaches and brought them to the middle track.
Then Skye fetched the four Orange Coaches and brought them to the middle track
Then Skye fetched the four Green Coaches and brought them to the middle track.
Then Skye fetched the four Pink Coaches and brought them to the middle track.
Then Skye fetched the four Purple Coaches and brought them to the middle track.
Then Skye fetched the four Brown Coaches and brought them to the middle track.
Then Skye fetched the four White Coaches and brought them to the middle track.
Then Skye fetched the four Black Coaches and brought them to the middle track.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth Red Coach and the first Blue Coach.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth Blue Coach and the first Yellow Coach.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth Yellow Coach and the first Orange Coach.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth Orange Coach and the first Green Coach.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth Green Coach and the first Pink Coach.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth Pink Coach and the first Purple Coach.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth Purple Coach and the first Brown Coach.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth Brown Coach and the first White Coach.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth White Coach and the first Black Coach.
Then the workmen coupled up the fourth Black Coach and Skye.
Then Skye shunted the coaches to Thomas.
Then Thomas was coupled up to the train.
Then Thomas whistled three times and the passengers got on board.
Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and then chugged away and then, when they got to Crossby, they stopped.
Then the passengers got off.
Then Skye was uncoupled.
"Skye, just stay in Crossby or in the Crossby Station Yard," Thomas said.
Then Skye shunted more coaches until they were all in place.
Then Skye went back to the train and was coupled again.
Then the passengers got on board.
Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and then chugged away and then, when they got to Wellsworth, they stopped.
Then the passengers got off.
Then Skye was uncoupled.
Then Skye shunted more coaches until they were in place.
Then Skye went back to the train.
"Can you please not coupled this time?" Skye asked. "I want to explore more of this station and the yard.
"Alright, you can," Thomas said. "But don't go too far and stay where I can see you!"
"I will!" Skye said.
Then Skye shunted Tar Tankers.
Then Skye shunted Fuel Tankers.
Then Skye shunted Oil Tankers.
Then Skye shunted Glue Tankers.
But what Thomas and Skye didn't know is that Bill and Ben also arrived in Wellsworth after they arrived.
"Hey, look Ben," Bill said. "There's a new steam engine."
'Yes, there is, Bill," Ben said. "And she's a tank engine."
"I wonder what her name is?" Bill and Ben asked.
"Alright, Skye, you can go off to many sidings to shunt those Salt Cars and those Pepper Cars but don't go pass the signal!" Thomas said.
"I won't do that, Thomas!" Skye said. "I really won't do such a thing like that and I will do as you say."
"Deema, please pass the message to other engines you see," the coaches whispered.
"I will," Deema, the yellow tender engine shaped like James, said and then she chugged away.
Then Skye shunted more Salt Cars and more Pepper Cars.
Then Bill and Ben had an idea.
"Let's play a trick on Thomas and Skye!" Bill and Ben said but realized that they said too loud but nobody heard it except for Duck, who just arrived.
"We will move the Freight Cars into wrong spots, hoping Thomas will push and we will keep doing it until Skye gets bored and she leaves." Bill and Ben whispered.
Then Bill and Ben disorganized the Freight Cars.
"Seriously, who disorganized the Freight Cars?" Thomas asked himself. "I better put them back."
Then Thomas shunted the Freight Cars back to their proper places as Skye was still shunting Salt Cars and Pepper Cars but Skye called him but he didn't hear.
Then Bill and Ben disorganized the Freight Cars again as Skye was still shunting Salt Cars and Pepper Cars but Skye called him but he didn't hear.
Then Thomas tried to reorganize the Freight Cars but every time he moved a group of Freight Cars to the proper place, Bill and Ben moved them again as Skye was still shunting Salt Cars and Pepper Cars and he didn't hear Skye, no matter how many times she called him.
Then Skye had finished organizing the Salt Cars and the Pepper Cars as Thomas was still trying to reorganize the Freight Cars to their own proper places but Bill and Ben kept moving a group of them back to the wrong place.
"Hey, Thomas!" Skye called but Thomas didn't hear her gain.
Skye was getting bored.
"I've been calling Thomas all day," Skye said. "I know I said that I wouldn't go pass the signal but I guess it won't hurt just to pass the signal and go somewhere else."
Then Skye went on the middle track and started chugging away and went passed the signal.
"We did it," Bill and Ben said.
Then Bill and Ben chugged away.
But as Skye was still chugging away from the signal, Percy arrived in Wellsworth and was able to see Skye chugging away.
"Bother," Percy said. "I thought Thomas said that he will keep an eye on her but he's busy shunting those cars."
Then Thomas finished shunting those Freight Cars.
"Now, Skye, let's go," Thomas said.
There was no answer.
"Skye?" Thomas asked. "Please answer me!"
There was no answer.
"Skye?" Thomas asked. "Please answer me!"
There was no answer.
"Skye?" Thomas asked. "Please answer me!"
There was no answer.
Then Thomas looked everywhere in the Wellsworth Station as he called out "Skye, please answer!"
Then Thomas went back to Wellsworth and tried to find Skye but couldn't see her anywhere there either.
"Skye!" Thomas said. "This isn't funny, so please answer me!"
Then another steam engine arrived.
"Is something wrong?" the steam engine asked.
"Yes, there is, Nonny" Thomas answered. "There's a female tank engine named Skye and I was supposed to be keeping an eye on her but I don't know where she is and all I have been doing shunting freight cars who were mysteriously organized and when I was done, I can't find Skye anywhere here or in the Wellsworth Station Yard."
"I already know where Skye is," Nonny, the orange tank engine that is shaped like James, said.
"Where?" Thomas asked.
"I just passed her going past four freight cars with pipes on them," Nonny said. "We did introduce ourselves and I wanted to go back to stop her because I knew that she shouldn't pass the signal."
"I thought I told her not to pass the signal," Thomas said.
"Yes, you did," Nonny said. "I heard from Deema that your coaches told Deema to pass the message to other steam engines about Skye not passing the signal on Thomas's orders and she did told me that and then I saw Skye after Deema left."
"Where was Skye going?" Thomas asked.
"She's going to the Feron Sheds," Nonny said. "The tracks there are very slippery due to some freight cars being troublesome and spilling shampoo on the tracks by spilling their shampoo bottles out of them and landing on the ground very hard that they burst out."
"I see," Thomas said. "I better go after her."
Then Thomas chugged away, going after Skye.
Meanwhile, Skye was still having fun as she passed three more freight cars with pipes.
"This is fun! This is fun! This is fun!" Skye said as she kept chugging down the track.
But what Skye didn't know is that some freight cars spilled shampoo on the tracks by being troublesome and launching their bottles out of them and landing on the ground, spraying the tracks with shampoo.
But when Skye was approaching Feron Sheds, her driver pulled the brakes, but Skye's wheels skidded on the shampoowy rails and couldn't stop and kept on going and going and going and then she saw four Milk Tankers and she closed her eyes and she crashed right into them, making her stop but destroying them in the process and getting her and Goby all dirty with milk, but luckily, no one was hurt.
"Look what you did, Skye!" Goby said. "You ruined my train of milk! Now, I will have to get some more! And you got us both dirty!"
Then Thomas arrived and stopped next to Skye and he was crossed.
"I thought I told you to not pass the signal, Skye!" Thomas said.
"Yes, you did, Thomas," Skye said. "And I'm sorry."
"Well, you should be," Thomas said.
Skye was getting worried. What would Sir Topham Hatt say?
She found out soon enough when he arrived.
"Skye, I told you that you come with Thomas if you follow his orders," Sir Topham Hatt said. "And now you know that is very wrong to go ignore orders."
"Yes, Sir," Skye said. "Sorry, Sir."
"Now, I want you back to Knapford right away," Sir Topham Hatt said. "I want you to shunt coaches there and shunt more coaches as well as freight cars for this behavior."
Then Percy chugged up to next to Thomas.
"Sir, it was also Thomas's fault," Percy said. "He wasn't keeping an eye on her and was busy shunting freight cars."
"Thomas, I thought I told you to keep an eye on Skye," Sir Topham Hatt said. "I want you to shunt Freight Cars at Knapford, Crossby, and Wellsworth."
Then Duck chugged up as well as Oona.
"You can't punish Thomas and Skye for something they didn't do," Duck said angrily. "And you shouldn't jump to conclusions, Percy."
"What do you mean?" Sir Topham Hatt asked.
"Thomas was keeping an eye on Skye but Bill and Ben were being naughty and messed with freight cars, which made Thomas shunt them back into place," Duck said.
"Where are going with this, Duck?" Sir Topham Hatt asked.
"What I mean is that Skye only left the area because she was bored and Thomas was only shunting them because of Bill's and Ben's antics and moving some cars when Thomas already moved into place and they kept doing that with Thomas doing the same thing after they did that and they only stopped when Skye left the area and chugged away."
"I see," Sir Topham Hatt said. "I'll speak to Bill and Ben about this."
"But please, Sir, don't punish Percy," Thomas said.
"Why not?" Sir Topham Hatt asked.
"Because he was only trying to be a good friend," Thomas said.
"Very well, Thomas, then I won't punish him," Sir Topham Hatt said.
"I can pull her, Sir," Thomas said.
"And I can too, Sir," Percy said.
"No, Percy, this is my responsibility," Thomas said. "I was the one, who fell into Bill and Ben's pranks when I should have realized that it was a trick and not realizing that it was a trick made Skye go off, so I should do this alone."
Then Thomas and Skye were chained together.
Then Thomas chugged and puffed as hard as he could and pulled Skye out of the wreckage.
"Thanks, Thomas," Skye said.
"You're welcome, Skye," Thomas said.
"I'm sorry for disobeying your orders, Thomas," Skye said. "I was just bored of waiting for you to finish shunting those freight cars."
"It's okay, and I'm sorry for getting angry with you, Skye," Thomas said. "And I should not have fallen into one of those tricks by Bill and Ben."
"It's okay, Thomas," Skye said.
"Come on, let's go back to Knapford," Thomas said.
"Yes, let's do that," Skye said.
Then Oona took Goby to the washdown and Goby was washed and cleaned and then he and Oona soon went off to get more Milk Tankers.
Then Thomas and Skye went back to Knapford.
Then the passengers got off and Thomas was uncoupled and Duck shunted the coaches to a big siding.
Then Percy arrived back in Knapford.
Then the passengers got off.
Then Percy went to the siding where Annie and Clarabel are when not being used.
Then Percy was uncoupled and then went back to Knapford.
Then Thomas, Percy, and Skye chugged back to Tidmouth Sheds and everyone else thought that it was very funny.
"Hey, look, it's Cream Skye!" Tina hooted.
"Custard Custard Skye!" James tooted.
"Yogurt Skye!" Edward puffed.
"Pudding Skye!" Lina huffed.
"Parfait Skye!" Sina chimed in.
"Trifle Skye!" Henry chipped in.
This made Skye very crossed as well as Thomas and Percy.
"This isn't very funny, especially to Skye," Thomas said. "It's no fun being covered with milk!"
"Yeah, that's right," Percy said. "And you wouldn't be laughing if you got covered with milk!"
Meanwhile, at the Clay Pits when Thomas, Percy and Skye arrived in Knap, Sir Topham Hatt arrived.
"Bill and Ben, your naughty pranks have caused confusion and delay," Sir Topham Hatt said. "Skye is a new tank engine who had recently arrived in Knapford eights days ago and she had crashed into Goby's train of four Milk Tankers, delaying his job."
"Sorry, Sir," Bill and Ben said.
"Skye is a new tank engine that needs to learn certain stuff and stay in Knapford before I can send her to other stations," Sir Topham Hatt said. "Thomas has asked me permission if she can go with him on a special train which I allowed but only if Thomas promised to keep an eye on her and you silly engines thought it will be fun to play a trick on Thomas and Skye. However, no more silly tricks like that, especially on Skye or on Thomas if he is with Skye, Bill and Ben."
"Yes, Sir," Bill and Ben said.
Then Sir Topham Hatt left the area and went back to Tidmouth Sheds.
"Skye, go and have a washdown," Sir Topham Hatt said. "You definitely need it."
Then Thomas, Skye, and Percy stopped being crossed.
"Yes, Sir," Skye said.
Then Skye went to the washdown and got washed and was all clean again.
"Thomas and Percy, go and take a rest," Sir Topham Hatt said.
Then Thomas and Percy went back to their sheds.
Then Skye went back to her shed.
The other engines, except for Thomas and Percy, kept telling each other for four hours on how Skye looked funny when she came back to Tidmouth Sheds, covered with milk, which made Skye crossed again as well Thomas and Percy.
She knew not to make the same mistake again.
Then Thomas, Skye, and Percy stopped being crossed while the other engines talking.
Then Thomas, Skye, Percy, and the other engines fell asleep.
What's going to happen next?
Stay tuned to find out!
