Having long practice with forcing unpleasant thoughts out of his mind – maybe too much practice, really – Tommy was able to go through his Karate training without wondering what was happening with either the rest of the Power Rangers, or even the other Animorphs back in Century City. Once he was finished with his Karate class, however, the worries for both groups of his friends came right back.
He didn't know what Rita and her forces might have been doing, and he didn't know what the Yeerks and their forces might be planning, either.
All he could do, right now, was wait for some kind of sign from either of the groups he was friends with. Wait for either Tobias to make contact with him, or for the communicator that Billy had given him to go off. Wait, and hope that both groups of his friends would be all right when he wasn't there to help them.
