On moving day, Senji followed behind Izuku with her headphones on and blasting. She had resigned to wearing lighter clothes, since they'd be walking most of the way there. She had a tank top covered by an unbuttoned short-sleeve shirt, and a more elaborate pair of baggy shorts with straps that hung behind her. Her tail wouldn't disappear anymore, so it dragged after her too. To help cover her arm, and maintain the shape, she had wrapped it in bandages and wore a fingerless glove. Just her fingertips were visible this way, and even if the blue was odd it was easy to explain it away as some type of burn scarring. At the school, Eraser gave a powerful lecture toward the class stating that he would have expelled everyone but Jiro, Hagakure, and Bakugo. Senji flinched, despite her name not being mentioned once during his tirade. The class stood in shared feelings of guilt and unease, before Bakugo dragged Kaminari off. There was a flash, and a derpy Kaminari was shoved back to the group while the other blonde shoved some cash into a confused Kirishima's hands. The situation was undoubtedly funny, and helped everyone shake off their unease and enter the dorm with renewed excitement.
After a quick tour of the amenities, everyone shuffled to their respective rooms to start unpacking. Senji was surprised to find most of her furniture already assembled, including the newly purchased desk and bookshelves. She set a reminder to thank Eraser and got to work. She didn't have a lot, exactly, but there was still a lot to put away and organize. Especially with only one arm. She worked for a few hours and finally just had one box left. An array of figures and manga lined the shelves, with some medical textbooks mixed in. There was her bed, across from her desk and gaming set up. Then to the side she had put together a small entertainment center and lined her consoles and games up around the tv. She reached into the last box, pulling out a tiny keychain plush that had a single red feather attached to it.
"Ah," she paused. The keychain featured a relatively new hero's form, modeled into a cute sort of chibi form. One that she knew by a different name, and would have to thank later. If she could, that is. Several complicated feelings had been building up toward this person for a long time now.
FWAM!
"Senji!," the girl was ripped from her thoughts by her door being pounded on, and a loud voice on the other side. She stuffed the keychain into her pocket and walked over, dreading the level of excitement in that voice. She was greeted by an even bubblier than usual Mina, who quickly dragged her off to the common area with the rest of the girls.
"Oh, you cut your hair?," Uraraka noticed first, and the other girls started to stare. Senji blushed and looked away, tugging at the much shorter strands.
"Y-yeah. It was getting annoying, and the roots had grown out," she responded quietly. She was sure it would look fine, but now with everyone staring and fawning she grew extremely self conscious.
"It looks good! Kinda cool, like Todoroki," Hagakure complimented first, then the others followed suit and they kept walking down the stairs.
"Guys, we had an idea!," Mina started innocently enough, but then went on. "A room tour! We wanna see everyone's rooms!"
"Eh?!," Senji exclaimed loudly, while the boys went dead silent. They didn't have time to process though, as they were quickly all dragged along. Izuku was up first, and his face turned tomato-red once everyone saw his full All Might collection. Senji spat out a quiet laugh, and teased him as they walked.
"You really brought everything?," she whispered to him from the back of the group. Next was Tokoyami, who's room was decked out in full gothic style. The dim purple light was easy on Senji's eyes, at least. He was clearly flustered, as well. Aoyama's room was so bright and sparkly that Senji's eyes screamed in pain and she fell backwards out of the door. Her keychain fell out, and Kirishima knelt to pick it up for her. He helped her to her feet and handed it back, but noticed what it was.
"Huh? Hawks?," he spoke too loudly, gaining the attention of the others. Senji snatched the keychain and stuffed it deep into her pocket before anyone could see, her cheeks flushed. Thankfully the girls had barreled on up to the third floor, and the rooms there were all pretty normal while still reflecting the personality of their owners.
After the girls fawned over Koda's pet rabbit, the boys got a fire lit under them and pushed to see the girls' rooms too. Mina agreed too quickly, leaving Jiro and Senji desperately trying to find a way out of it. Steamrolling ahead they checked out several other boys' rooms. Sero's was pretty interesting, and Uraraka and Senji were somewhat excited by Kirishima's room. Todoroki's completely remodeled room took the wind right out of everyone's sails, but it was saved by Sato's room and the cake he'd made. Senji snacked on her piece as they worked their way back down, through the girls' rooms.
Jiro, whose room was up next, tried again to protest but was shut down. Her room was loaded with instruments, which piqued Senji's interest. She knelt next to two guitars and her hands instinctively moved like she was itching to play, which didn't go unnoticed by a few of the students. The next three were either super girly or relatively plain, and the boys started to express feeling bad for looking at all the normal girls' rooms. With Tsuyu not being present, Senji's was dead last. Yoayorozu's bourgeois furniture was extreme, but the class was still taken aback at Senjis room style. It felt like a different type of otaku's room than Izuku's, and the rest of the class was quick to spot a few pieces of Hawks memorabilia. Tokoyami and a few of the boys made a note of that for sure, and she quickly shooed them out.
After Sato was announced the winner, due to the free cake, everyone dispersed on their own. Senji was teased a little by Kaminari and Jiro for the Hawks merch, but her room came up on the second floor so she ducked into it and went straight to bed. The next day was an early start, and she was already overwhelmed by the reception she'd received from her classmates.
