Sitting in his office Nobutsuna was writing a manual on the art of Kido. He was categorizing them into offensive, defensive, and supplementary. He was also listing them in order of difficulty and the best ways to learn them. While he was fast at work, a knock came at this door. "What?" He huffed. The door opened and Entetsu walked in. "Good Evening. Hope I'm not bothering you." Entetsu said. "Somewhat, I'm in the middle of organizing different Kido." Nobutsuna sighed. "Oh good, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. The function I'm giving my Division is a Police Force for the Seireitei. Need some good Kido for surveillance, binding, and sealing." Entetsu stated. "No offense?" Nobutsuna wondered. "That's what Zanpakuto and fist are for." Grunted Entetsu. "Ha. Nice. I'll make you a list and in your free time I can teach you some of them." Nobutsuna smiled. "Thanks." Entetsu said shaking his hand and leaving.
In a field Chika was training in intensely with Hakudo. His Reitsu was surging throughout his body and at times created sparks of lightning and flickers of fire. The ground around him began to quake and ripe. The wind started to howl and whip around unpredictably. The moisture in the air started to take form and moved as fluid as Chika. He started to command the five elements with his reitsu and combined it with his Hakudo. With swift and precise movements, Chika did a series of strikes and observed his new attack. "hmm this will be quite the new addition to my arsenal." He said to himself. After a couple of hours he finished his training and went back to his estate. On the way he saw Yachiru having a stroll. "What are you doing roaming about?" Chika inquired. "Just getting some fresh air. Is that okay with you?" Yachiru wondered. "Yes, just not something you usually do." Chika teased. As they were walking they sensed something was amiss. Chika casually drew reishi into his fist, while Yachiru slowly placed her hand on the hilt of her Zanpakuto. From the shadows a figure darted out towards them and attacked. With incredible speed, Chika punched the figure three times and sent it into the air where Yachiru leaped into the air and slashed it several times sending it back to the ground. Observing it they realized they were attacked by a hollow of some kind. It was tall, gray, and had dreads. Its mask was white and black, forearms were large, and legs strong and thick. It started to regenerate from the damage it just sustained. "So you have decent power." Yachiru hissed licking her lips. "Why are you here?" Chika growled. "To see what you Captains were made of. Your power is adequate." The hollow hissed. " You haven't seen our power yet." Chika smiled unleashing his reitsu. It was white and dense, causing the hollow to fall to its knees gasping for air. With a quick motion, Yachiru sliced off the hollows arms. "UGH!" It howled. "Silence." Yachiru hissed. Chika appeared behind the hollow and dashed away with it in his hands and Yachiru following close behind.
The two made their way to 1st Division Barracks and to the office of Yamamoto. "Sorry to intrude in such a manner Head Captain." Chika sighed throwing the hollow to the ground. "The hell is he doing here?" Yamamoto snarled glaring at the hollow. "He fucked around and found out." Chika replied. "I see. Must be an underling for those beings known as Arrancar." Yamamoto stated. "The hell is that?" Yachiru asked. What's been happening in the Land of the Living. I was going to bring it up the next Captain Meeting. They are hollows that have somehow gained the powers of a Shinigami." Yamamoto sighed. "That's something you should have told us earlier." Chika huffed. The hollow tried to crawl away but was stopped by a glaring Yachiru. "Well you know now. Take him to Entetsu. He'll make him talk." Yamamoto grinned. Chika picked up the hollow and vanished. "What is our next plan of attack?" Yachiru asked with must enthusiasm. "We prepare for war." Yamamoto declared.
Arriving at the office of the 9th Division, Chika banged on the door. "Oi! Open up!" He hollered. The door flew open and Entetsu was glaring at the white haired Captain. "You better have a damn good reason for disturbing me in such a manner." Entetsu breathed side eyeing the hollow. "Yeah, Yamamoto wants to you get some information out of this one." Chika smiled sinisterly. "I see. Should've led with that." Entetsu stared daggers at the hollow he began to tremble with fear. Entetsu dragged the hollow away who was pleading with Chika to not leave him with the golden mouth Captain.
The next day the Captains assembled in the 1st Division Barracks and held a meeting. "I now bring this meeting to order. Captain Kumoi, what information did you manage to gather from the hollow prisoner?" Yamamoto inquired. "That there are at least two dozen Arrancar and a couple hundred Menos that are high level. They are preparing to invade and take over the Soul Society. They are well organized and sent him to see how powerful the rest of us are. Unfortunately for him that didn't go over very well." Entetsu stated. "I say we go there and slaughter them all." Furoufushi cackled. "I agree." Yachiru smiled. "Yeah, we should definitely paint Hueco Mundo with their blood." Chigiri voiced hissing. " That wouldn't be the best course of action. We have to smart about this. I say we send two Captains to infiltrate Hueco Mundo and see what these guys are about. Covertly of course." Nobutsuna argued. "We can see what they are about by laying them all to waste." Yachiru hissed flaring up her reitsu. In retaliation, Nobutsuna unleashed his reitsu and shook the entire barracks. "Enough!" Yamamoto roared. The two then relaxed their reitsu. "Whatever you say Shigi." Nobutsuna spoke nonchalantly. "Damn I forget how terrifying his reitsu is." Chigiri muttered. "No kidding, I see why he and the Head Captain were known as Shigi Brothers." Furoufushi whispered. Yachiru was glaring intensely at Nobutsuna who couldn't care less and got back to business. "Like I was saying we send two or three in for covert observation and see what else they are planning and see their powers and what they can actually do." Nobutsuna voiced. "That sounds like a decent plan. The Captains of Divisions 2, 7, and 9 will be going to Hueco Mundo and observe the Arrancar….covertly. For three days." Yamamoto decreed. "Yes Sir." Replied the three Captains. "if there is nothing else you're all dismissed.
"So what's the plan?" Chika asked. "Simply we study and observe the enemy." Nobutsuna replied. "What happens if we get found out?" Entetsu inquired. "Don't let them speak." Nobutsuna replied coldly. "How are we going to get there anyway?" Chika wondered. "I'll take care of that. We leave in an hour." Nobutsuna stated. Going to his office he got a couple of supplies and a few narrow cigars. Opening the door to leave he was met by a slightly tall man with short hair. "Hello Captain Shigyou, are you off to somewhere?" he asked. "Yes I am Lieutenant Tsukabishi. Me and two other Captains are going to Hueco Mundo. You're in charge of the Division till I get back. Make sure they don't slack off and keep practicing their Kido and Zanjutsu." Nobutsuna ordered. "Yes sir." His lieutenant replied. " At ease Mahotsukai. You'll do fine." Nobutsuna assured him. "Thank you sir." Mahotsukai smiled and bowed slightly. "Good luck Captain." He said waving goodbye.
Meeting in the Land of the Living the three Captains prepared for their venture into Hueco Mundo. "Alright we'll be in there for three and we have to be covert." Nobutsuna stated. "Yeah yeah we know. Let's get moving. I'm itching for some excitement." Chika smiled. "Calm down." Entetsu huffed rolling his eyes. Stretching forth his hand, Nobutsuna made some motions and opened a Garganta to Hueco Mundo. "Impressive, you must have observed Hollows for quite a while to do that." Entetsu commented. "You could say that." Nobutsuna grinned taking out a cigar and lighting it and taking a puff. The three Captains dashed through the Garganta and made their way to Hueco Mundo. Landing in the vast desert of the home of the Hollows the three Captains observed their surroundings and made note and every noticeable thing. Closing his eyes, Nobutsuna sought to sense the location of the Arrancar. "They're due north, about an hour away." He conveyed.
Using Shunpo they made their way to the base of the Arrancar stronghold. Once they were close they all focused on their reitsu and lowered it with Nobutsuna using Kido to help conceal their presence. As they entered the fortress they observed the crude structure and the vast amount of Menos that roamed around. For several hours they quietly watched the Hollows and how they mingled with one another. Chika noticed a group of Arrancar battling it out amongst themselves to increase their strength and speed. While he was watching their fighting he saw how they could move with astonishing speed and lost track of them from time to time. "Interesting, similar to Shunpo, but has some uniqueness." He whispered to himself.
Elsewhere Entetsu was watching the large army doing drills and coordinating movements for an assault. He noted that they were a bit savage and willing to take unnecessary damage to get the job done. "So they're brutes with at the core, which will be good for us." He muttered to himself. After a few more hours, he went to another location and observed the group there. They seemed a bit smarter and had a form of martial arts, it was basic but effective. "Hmm they have a primal way of moving. Intriguing." Entetsu commented.
Close to the main group of Arrancar, Nobutsuna gazed at them intensely as they were working with their reitsu and channeling it into different styles of Cero and energy attacks. Nobutsuna observed their methods and thought of ways to create new Kido spells. Making a sigil in the air, he put it to his ear the hear what they were saying amongst themselves. "We have to make sure we're well rounded. The Shinigami have various abilities with their Zanpakuto. Countering them will be hard. We also have to make sure we divide and conquer. The Captains are strongest together and they are bloodthirsty and brutal. If we don't hit them hard and fast we will surely die." Belzor informed them all. "Damn these guys mean business." Nobutsuna sighed. Turning his head he sensed something was amiss. The Arrancar that the were being watched by Chika began to stir with the Menos that were around them. "What's wrong?" One asked. "There are spies here I can taste them." Snarled a Menos. "Hmm hold on." A green haired Arrancar whispered. Placing his hand on the ground he sent out a large wave an sensed the three Captains. " INSTRUDERS!" Roared the Arrancar. "Shit." The Captains muttered simultaneously.
Figuring out where the others were, Chika moved with incredible speed and grabbed Entetsu and went to Nobutsuna and they made a break for it. Suddenly they were surrounded by several Menos. Reacting quickly, Chika summoned a vast amount of Reiryoku into fist and attacked. "Fist of A 1,000 Suns!" He bellowed as he sent a vast blast of light and heat towards the Menos and roasted them to the raw nerve. More came to attack from the left and were quickly dealt with. Entetsu pulled out his Zanpakuto and released it. "Resonate Saundo Ringu." He spoke strongly. His katana transformed into a blue metal kanabo. Swinging it with much speed, he projected several waves of sound with extreme force that ripped and blasted through several of the Menos. Getting another start on their escape they trio were halted by Belzor. "You're not going anywhere." He grinned. With a single finger Nobutsuna summoned a vast Kido spell. "Hado #98: Divine Arrow." He breathed creating a giant arrow that blasted Belzor in half. Soon several more Arrancar arrived with a hoard of Menos. "Damn, guess we have to make a bloody exit." Nobutsuna grunted. Drawing his Zanpakuto he dashed into the fray. Slashing and swinging he started to slay them all. Chika erupted in Reiryoku that changed to the five elements. Using his Hakudo and speed he tore through them like a hot knife through butter. Entetsu bashed his way through the hollows like stampede. After a couple of minutes the three Captains stood victorious in an ocean of blood.
"Damn bastards were persistent." Nobutsuna huffed. "Let's go home and report our findings." Chika sighed. Dashing away they got to clearing and Nobutsuna opened a Garganta and got them to the Land of the Living and eventually they returned to the Soul Society. Going to the 1st Division barracks the three went to speak with Yamamoto. "Hey Shigi!" Nobutsuna hollered. "Must you shout?" Yamamoto grunted. "Stop being a stick in the mud lil brother." Nobutsuna teased. "We have quite a bit to report." Entetsu stated. "What happened?" Yamamoto inquired. "Well for starters they are actually organized and are doing drills to increase their abilities and powers." Entetsu started. "They are also still brutish and take unnecessary blows which we can exploit. Their martial arts is primal but effective." He continued. "They also have an ability similar to Shunpo except it erases their reitsu once they move. You have to be on your toes so you don't get hit before tracking them again." Chika stated. "Interesting." Yamamoto stated. "Then they have their Ceros which they are changing and making different as well. I'll be making some new Kido to combat that and give us an edge." Nobutsuna stated. "Seems like we will have quite the war on our hands once again." Yamamoto sighed. "The Quincy had more numbers but the hollows will have less restraint." Nobutsuna commented. "Well spread the news amongst the other Captains so they can prepare their Divisions. Dismissed." Yamamoto declared.
Going around to the other Divisions, Nobutsuna gave them instructions on how to improve their Kido. As he went to the 11th Division he was met with some resistance. "Kido isn't my style. I prefer outright battle." Yachiru smiled. "Not what I hear. You've been spending some time with Tenjiro from the 4th Division with his offshoot invention he made studying Kido." Nobutsuna commented. "That's different, I'm not using that for fighting just to extend the battle." Yachiru clarified. "Fine least tell your subordinates about it and let them decide." Nobutsuna said walking away.
At the 6th Division Barracks, Furoufushi was training with her division. She was observing their form and correcting them where she saw fit. Walking through the members that were training, Furoufushi stopped at a young black haired man. He had a stern and serious demeanor. "Your focus is pretty great Ginrei." Furoufushi smiled. "Thank you Captain." He nodded firmly. " Don't be so stiff relax." Furoufushi cackled. The training session went on for a little bit more before stopping. Furoufushi dismissed them and then went to her office. "How's your Division doing with their training?" Kinroku asked slightly startling Furoufushi. "They're doing well, also what the hell are you doing here?" She asked angrily. " Just stopping by and seeing how everything is going. I'm checking up with all Divisions. We need to be on the same page. Nobutsuna is giving out more Kido spells and I'm seeing if everyone is diligent in their training while Genryusai is coordinating our moves." Kinroku stated. "Aren't you the nice one." Furoufushi teased. "No I'm just doing my job." Kinroku insisted.
Leaving the 6th Division Kinroku headed for the 2nd Division. Entering the barracks he searched for Chika and was taken aback when he came across a large panther. "Easy boy." Kinroku said casually putting his hand on his Zanpakuto. "Be not afraid." The panther said smiling. "What the hell?" Kinroku expressed shocked. The panther then began to glow and smoke arose around them both. "Sorry for startling you." Chika said returning to his normal form. "You can transform into a panther?" Kinroku asked bewildered. "Yes. Tell no one. Is there something I can do for you?" Chika wondered. "I'm just checking on the progress of all the Divisions." Kinroku replied. "I see. I have everyone running drills with their stealth and Shunpo." Chika informed him. "Excellent. I hope you are going around and observing the others and their use of Shunpo as well. After all you are The God of Speed." Kinroku stated as he left. "I'm aware." Chika said softly.
Entering the 4th Division Kinroku saw Chigiri sparring with his men. He made sure to be precise and test their reaction times. "Seems like you're on top of things." Kinroku commented. "Of course. We have to be ready for those hollows. I'm making sure everyone is in sync and good at improvising and planning." Chigiri stated. "Excellent. Keep it up." Kinroku smirked. "I will. I also have Tenjiro teaching everyone basic first aid." Chigiri added. "That'll be helpful in the long run." Kinroku commented as he left.
Later that night the members of the 9th Division patrolled the perimeter of the Seireitei and made sure everything was secure. As they observed everything around them some of the members felt an odd presence. One of the Shinigami gripped his Zanpakuto and was ready for battle. As he went towards the presence he was cut down. The other members of the 9th Division were on high alert as the assailant started to attack them. it was a an Arrancar wearing a blue cloak with white hair. He was tall and had caramel skin and a blade with a green hilt. He darted for one of the Shinigami as he drew his blade. As he was bringing it down his Zanpakuto was blocked by Entetsu. "Retreat, I'll take it from here." He growled glaring at the Arrancar that killed his men. "Hmmm a Captain. This will be interesting." The Arrancar cackled. The two then erupted in dense reitsu. This alerted the other Captains who all prepared for battle.
Suddenly a hoard of hollows descended upon the Seireitei. Yamamoto engaged the ones closest to his barracks and unleashed a wave of a searing fire that roasted them to the raw nerve. "Seek and destroy the enemy!" He ordered to his men. "YES SIR!" Chojiro replied instructing the others where to go. Chika sent out the 2nd Division and had them pick off hollows that were posted at high places sniping Shinigami with precise Ceros. Kinroku had the 3rd Division deal with the large hollows and secure the walls of the Seireitei. Entetsu and the Arrancar were in a heated battle. He had unleashed his Shikai blasted the Arrancar with a powerful sound waves. "Damn you're actually pretty strong." The Arrancar huffed. "You're weaker than we thought you'd be." Entetsu mocked. "We'll see about that." The Arrancar snarled. He placed his hand on his Zanpakuto and unleashed his power. "Push Puno Fuerte." He laughed as he transformed and grew bulging muscles and a helmet appeared on his head. He had armor around him and gauntlets on his hands. "Interesting." Entetsu commented. They engaged each other once more with the Arrancar putting up a better fight.
Elsewhere several Menos infiltrated the Seireitei and crossed paths with Yachiru. "So I get some Adjuchuas to play with." Yachiru smiled sinisterly. With swiftness she drew her blade and cut them all down and sprayed their blood all around her. "Cut them down and leave the strong ones for me!" She ordered The 11th Division. In the shadows another Arrancar was watching everything go down and waited for the right opportunity to strike. Seeing an opening where they could get into one of the barracks, the Arrancar moved with Sonido and took out twelve Shinigami as he almost got into the barracks before getting kicked in the face and crashing into the ground. "The hell was that?" He grunted. " You're not a Shinigami so you're not welcomed inside." Nobutsuna stated coldly. The Arrancar was slender in a gray suite. "Guess I should get serious." The Arrancar grunted as he exerted his spiritual pressure. Nobutsuna was intrigued and drew his Zanpakuto. The two clashed heavily with Nobutsuna mostly defending and seeing what the Arrancar could do. He was able to create several Ceros that hovered around Nobutsuna and then bolted towards him simultaneously. With ease, Nobutsuna created a rope with Kido and whipped all the Ceros away. "Interesting ability with the Ceros." Nobutsuna smiled. "You're quite the specimen. But I have to end this." The Arrancar sighed. "Gleam Reluciente Alegria." The Arrancar spoke steadily. He erupted in white reitsu and his body was covered in diamonds. "This will be your last battle!" The Arrancar roared. Nobutsuna defended himself against the vicious assault. Using his superior skill he managed to block all the attacks and counter with a few strikes that managed give the Arrancar mild nicks. "Gleaming Cero" Hissed the Arrancar firing a Cero imbued with diamonds. " Bakudo 81:Danku." Nobutsuna retaliated with a Kido wall and stopped the attack. "I've seen all I needed to. Dance through the Heavens and Strike the Earth: Sāji Denryū.: Nobutsuna declared. His Zanpakuto unleashed a graviton of lightning and power that caused all the hollows around to quiver in fear. The sky began to be filled with clouds and lightning dancing throughout it. Swinging his Zanpakuto swiftly, Nobutsuna unleashed a wave of lightning that crashed into the Arrancar and surged through his body
"Damn." He huffed trying to recover from the hit. "Come now, you were talking big just a few moments ago." Nobutsuna said coldly as he walked slowly towards the Arrancar. His eyes were piercing and his Zanpakuto crackling with lightning. "Stay away from me. Please.." The Arrancar whimpered. " Warriors don't beg." Nobutsuna stated as he moved with Shunpo and fried the Arrancar with one swing of his Zanpakuto. "Keep up our defenses and clear out the enemy." He ordered to his Division.
A large Gillian raged throughout the area and started firing Ceros about. "Chop Meiyo no Senshi." Zenjoji spoke. His Zanpakuto transformed into a double sided axe. Swinging his arm with incredible power, Zenjoji bisected the Gillian with ease and started to clear the area of hollows. Yamamoto and Kinroku observed the Hollows as the other Captains and Shinigami laid them all to waste. "These bastards are foolish and blood thirsty. So unorganized." Kinroku huffed. "That is for our benefit." Yamamoto stated.
Soon after the Hollows were all dead and the Shinigami started to recollect themselves. "Tenjiro!" Chigiri called out. A tall man with a pompadour hairstyle came rushing to him. "Yes Captain." Tenjiro replied. "Start healing everyone and get them into recovery." Chigiri ordered. "Understood sir." Tenjiro said getting to work.
Entetsu had picked up his fallen division member and walked him back to his barracks. The 9th Division stood at attention for their fallen comrade. The other Divisions were doing clean up and making sure that the enemy was completely gone. After a couple of hours the Captains had an emergency meeting. "How in the hell did these Hollows get in the Seireitei?!" Furoufushi roared. "They seem to be craftier than we realized." Zenjoji grunted. "Those blasted Gargantas of theirs are able to just slip in and out of places." Nobutsuna sighed. "I've been working on something in my spare time. What little I have of it." He continued. "What exactly is it you've been working on?" Entetsu inquired. "I sent out a letter seeking those who excel in reishi control and for them to learn advanced Kido. Also to learn creative ways of utilizing it to its fullest potential. I'm thinking that there should be a special division in the Seireitei called the Kido Corps. That could specialize in barriers and seals and keeping things like the events of earlier from happening again. They could also help keep the balance and make sure reishi isn't getting absorbed." Nobutsuna declared. "I see. It would be very beneficial." Yamamoto agreed. "Excellent. The organization can be their own thing that way the Noble Families don't think we're trying to gain complete control or anything. I've been thinking my Lieutenant could become it's Commander since he's almost as good as me." Nobutsuna stated. "I will talk with the Central 46 and make it so." Yamamoto declared. " While being masters of Kido is a great thing how are their skills in Hakudo?" Kinroku asked. "There are decent and better skills in Zanjutsu." Nobutsuna admitted. "I could give them some lessons periodically that way they would be a bit more well rounded." Chika voiced. "That sounds like a plan." Nobutsuna smiled. " What about the Stealth Force?" Batsu'unsai asked. "I have them working on securing territory throughout the Soul Society and creating a web of information that way we can know about more plots against us; both internal and external." Chika stated. " Our next plan of action is to prepare for our next encounter. Make sure you cover every possible maneuver you can think of. We might have to invade fully and eradicate the Arrancar." Yamamoto stated. "Excellent" Yachiru giggled licking her lips.
