Savannah and Tina were going to be on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan as it was now July 4th.
Luke, Beau, Chalice, Mugman, and Cuphead were on the way to Washington D.C. to perform on A Capitol Fourth.
"We really are famous!" Cuphead says.
"A Capitol Fourth! This is an honor!" Beau says.
Beau was replacing Oliver in the band as The Elemental Strike needed a fifth member. And wouldn't you know it? Beau was great on the guitar!
"Wait, what about me?" Lucy asked, looking down. Luke facepalmed.
"Right, you're the sixth member of this band." Luke says.
"Okay, have fun out there." Lucy says.
"You're joining us." Luke says. "We aren't leaving you behind."
Charity was happy for them as she wrapped Tina's half-birthday present.
They arrived in Washington D.C. that same day, and they headed off to rehearse for that night's event.
With Savannah and Tina, the show was starting very soon.
"I'm really excited!" Tina says.
"Me, too!" Savannah says.
The show begins as the girls get interviewed.
"So how are your chances of winning America's Next Hitmaker?" Ryan asked.
"We have a fair chance, but we are in it to have fun. Also if I win, I'm donating it to all the sick kids." Tina says.
"Nice!" Ryan says.
"What are you girls going to do next?" Kelly asked.
"Crime fighting." Savannah says.
Tina wasn't sure.
In Washington D.C., The Elemental Strike was rehearsing their song for the big show later.
"Go, Johnny, go, go, go! Go, Johnny, go, go! Johnny B. Goode!" Luke and Beau sang, smiling.
"That was our best rehearsal yet!" Cuphead says.
Lucy nodded and went to write poems. Cuphead decided to keep her company.
"Can't wait to win!" Chalice says.
"It's just a performance." Luke says.
"I meant America's Next Hitmaker." She says.
"Oh, okay." Luke says.
"Yeah, right…" Cuphead chuckled as he watched Lucy. He was fascinated by her poems. Lucy blushed.
"Oh, in two weeks, we decided to both get married." Mugman says.
"A double wedding?" Luke asked.
"Yeah!" Cuphead says. Lucy blushed a bit while writing.
On the Kelly and Ryan show, the girls were still on.
"Who wants a sneak peek of our next performance on America's Next Hitmaker?" Savannah asked.
Everyone cheered as they go to get dressed in their costumes. Suddenly, a net fell on them as they were being dragged.
"Help!" Savannah says.
Meanwhile with Luna, she was going to watch Luke. Luna saw Luke feeling a little jealous.
"What's wrong?" Luna asked.
"There's enough wrong!" Luke hisses.
"Like what?" Luna asked.
"JUST FORGET IT!" Luke shouted and walked off. Lucy looked concerned as Luke walked away.
"What's wrong with him?" Leni asked Garrett.
"Someone's a little mad…" Garrett says.
"But he's already married..." Leni says.
"He just feels forgotten about because of Chalice being part of the wedding planning. The cups didn't even ask Luke to help. They only asked Chalice to help." Garrett says. Luke was long gone by this point.
"Luke!" Lucy called out.
Luke hissed and ran off further. Lynn holds him, trying to comfort him.
"I WON'T BE THERE!" Luke shouted and hissed. He looked down and just avoided eye contact. It was clear they never wanted Luke to be part of any of the wedding planning or the festivities in general.
Lucy began to feel uncomfortable. "Luke, would you like to plan my wedding?" Lucy asked, looking at him.
Luke didn't know how to answer that.
"Yes, I will." Luke says.
"Thank you, thank you. This means a lot to me…" Lucy says.
At show time that night, Luke refused to appear. Chalice was trying to get Luke to come out on stage.
Meanwhile, Angry Luigi, Bill, and Jason arrived at a base. Jason shot a shockwave out of his power glove as this broke the door.
The trio rushed around knocking out guards.
They soon arrive at the main hall.
"Nobody move! This is a hostage situation!" Mrs. Clusterfield says.
Bill let a small robotic bug crawl down and lets it hack into the ship.
Meanwhile, Lucy reads Luke a poem to cheer him up. Luke looks at Lucy, then looks down.
Cuphead and Mugman came in, feeling guilty.
"Luke, we're sorry we didn't invite you to plan the wedding. We thought you were busy with a lot of parties." Mugman says.
"OH, YOU THOUGHT?!" Luke says.
They nod, looking guilty. Luke just turns his back. "You asked Chalice. So just ask her from now on!" Luke says tearfully.
Luke's fans were growing impatient. Luke storms on stage, an angry sneer on his face.
They all cheered, but could see Luke wasn't smiling.
Luke cries and runs off stage.
Meanwhile, Angry Luigi, Bill, and Jason were all tied up.
"I love it when a plan comes together! Now all we need are Chrissy and Randy." Axel says.
"Yeah and you villains love monologuing." Bill says as the power runs out.
Axel took out a sword and glared as Angry Luigi tried to hammer Axel, who kicked him aside, but Jason punched him.
Savannah and Tina ducked as lasers were shooting everywhere.
"Take this!" Bill says, firing lasers.
"Let's bail!" Angry Luigi says.
"For once, I agree." Jason says as the heroes get on Bill's plane. They then flew off.
"Heh…" Angry Luigi says as the ship got power and shot missiles.
"Hang on!" Bill says, doing a barrel roll.
"Sweet mother of mayhem! We're all going to die!" Angry Luigi says as all the missiles exploded, but the heroes were safe.
"Nice!" Savannah says.
"THOSE BRATS! THEY WILL PAY!" Mrs. Clusterfield screamed as Angry Luigi turned into Fire Angry Luigi, shooting a fireball at an engine as it caused an explosion of fireworks.
"Sweet, fireworks!" Savannah says.
"You think they're dead?" Tina asked.
"Nope." Bill says.
"Yep." Jason and Fire Angry Luigi say.
Meanwhile, the siblings comfort Luke. Luke pulled himself together long enough to perform. Fans cheered for them. They soon finished as the Capitol Fourth fireworks began.
"I am so proud of you both!" Charity says as Luke and Lucy smile a bit.
"Thanks, Mom." Lucy says.
Luke hugged his mom before sitting by himself.
Later, Connor sighed as Carol went to Luke and Lucy.
"Connor's birthday is on the 18th, could you two do me a favor and plan a party for him?" she asked.
"That I can do." Luke says. Lucy nods.
Luke goes off to work on the party.
A few days later, Luke was working alone. He had his planning book and was writing in it.
Leni brings him snacks as he eats them, then he does more party work. His mind was clearly on the wedding and how he was useless to the cups and the others.
Lucy felt worried about him. She saw Luke's tears overtake his eyes as he threw his planning book across the room and cried. Luke hissed and sobbed.
Lucy goes to comfort him.
"I'M USELESS!" Luke sobbed.
"No, you're not." Lucy says.
"They didn't need me…" Luke sniffed. "I won't be there if that's how they want it to be…"
"As you wish." Lucy says, leaving the room, a bit sad.
"Lukey, what was that for?" Leni asked.
He explained everything in a way Leni would understand.
"Oh…" Leni says as there was a crash.
"What was that?" Luke asked.
Leni heads upstairs and sees Lucy's messy room as she sobs.
"What happened here?" Luan asked.
"Luke didn't want to attend my wedding…" Lucy sniffed.
"I don't think Luke being upset has anything to do with you, Luce." Luan says.
"Still, it stings." Lucy sniffed.
Luke was throwing a fit in his room.
"THEY CAN PLAN THEIR OWN WEDDING! SEE HOW WELL THEY DO WITHOUT ME!" Luke screamed from his room.
"What happened, girls?" Charity asked.
Lucy sniffed as Leni explained. As she did, Lucy was noticeably unstable and unsure of whether she should get married at all.
"Luke isn't mad at Lucy, but at the cups for leaving him out. Luke wants to be there for Lucy, but Luke's fear of being left out is what drove Luke to the brink of being broken." Charity says.
"I wanna cancel the marriage. I-I don't want Luke to suffer." Lucy stammered, her heart hurting.
"Nobody is canceling anything. I think it's time to talk to a couple of cups about inclusion." Charity says. "What they did was wrong."
They soon go to talk to them as they explained everything. Cuphead and Mugman looked guilty and agreed to let Luke help with the wedding plans.
They find Luke tearing his planning book apart.
"Luke, stop, we're sorry!" Cuphead says.
"We want you to plan!" Mugman says. "Really!"
"Oh?" Luke says. They nod truthfully.
