Morning rose over the mansion. Butterflies flittered amongst the flowers. Birds began to chirp, welcoming the day.

And this tranquility was broken by the sound of yelling.

"Agh, I so did not need someone screaming in my ears at 7 in the morning!" Amity complained. "Who got set off?!"

"Set off isn't the right word." Nemo said, leaning against the doorway. "There's a…little scuffle going on in the common area."

"They're sparring in the common area?"

"Not exactly…" the pirate said. "You know how Kazuma got that kotatsu made? Well, he's not coming out of it."

"I swear… this is what happens when you make deals with devils." Tanya said.

"I told you guys we should've accounted for Vanir having an extra life." Seiya said.

"Hey, none of us knew him selling us a Kotastu would lead to the manor becoming an active war zone!" Michiru countered.

"Are Kotatsus really that dangerous?" Rem asked.

"Oh, they are. They're so tempting with how comfy they are, people can get lost inside of them." Subaru said.

"We gotta get Kazuma outta that thing. But he's already entrenched himself in it and refuses to move. He's even willing to fight us to stay inside." Mirror Match said.

"Right…" Amity said as she summoned an Abomination as it lifted Kazuma in the kotatsu. "Who votes we toss this idiot and the kotatsu out the window?"

"Right with you there." Darkness said.

"Wait…before you do, could you girls maybe carry me to the bathroom to…" Kazuma said.

"You are unbelievable sometimes, you know that?" Amity said.

"Basuru, open a window, if you would." Ram said.

"You got it." Subaru said, opening said window.

"E tu, Subaru?!" Kazuma gasped as the Abomination reared its arm back. "W-Wait, hold on a second-!"

"Heave ho!"

The kotatsu was launched out the window, Kazuma screaming as it did.

"Alright, I'll admit it: I got carried away." Kazuma said as he was shivering on the steps of the mansion.

"Honestly, Sato. You wanted to bring us to Belzerg so you could take the Lugunica branch on vacation, not fall to the temptation of a Kotatsu." Tanya said. "You don't have any form of self-restraint."

"Hey, that thing sucked me in! People with stronger wills than me have failed to resist!" Kazuma said. "But yeah, you're right, I gotta get out of the house. Luckily, I have a reason to go out today."

"Oh, really?" Legolia asked.

"Really! I put some of our newfound riches into getting myself a new weapon." Kazuma grinned. "Your boy's getting himself a katana!"

"They sell those in the Adventure Universe?" Subaru said.

"Some places do, but I think what he means is he is going to forge one. He's been picking up a lot of blacksmithing skills lately." Otto said.

"Pretty soon, Kurobee's not gonna be the guild's only smithy." Kazuma smiled. "Once in a while, he's gotta be swamped with a lot of work requests."

"From Gobta especially. He's always trying to pester Kurobee for a legendary weapon." Luz said.

"Do you have an idea in mind on what you want?" Ethox asked.

"Yeah, I got a pretty good idea." Kazuma said. "Since I was pulled out of the fortress of warmth, I might as well go and take care of it now. Anybody wanna come with?"

"You, forging a blade? Now this I have to see." Gimilor remarked. "I may be a shaman, but I spent many a day in the forges before my adventuring life began. I can make sure you don't burn yourself."

"Guess I'll come along too." Subaru said.

"Same here. Wanna see what this katana business is all about." Garfiel said.

"Alrighty then. Let's go get me a new sword!" Kazuma declared as he gathered a few necessary items and headed out with the others. "Don't wait up for us!"

In the middle of their partings, nobody noticed the single fly hovering above the mansion, watching them before flying away. It flew across the landscape before it came to rest at the edge of a forest, buzzing.

"Ah, so that's where they are. Good…it is time to redeem myself in the eyes of my fellow demons." a voice said, understanding the fly's buzzing. "Ariel Assault Flies…prepare to attack!"

Later, the group members not out with Kazuma were about the mansion, doing their own thing.

"Hey Luz, you use Glyph Magic, right?" Ultra asked the young witch in training as the Pokémon Trainer was looking at his phone. "I gotta ask…is it just glyphs from that island you can use, or could you use glyphs from other worlds?"

"I don't really know, Ultra… why do you ask though? I mean, I'm still just a witch in training." Luz reminded him.

"Well, I've been looking around, and there are a few worlds that have glyph magic in them. Not just alternate versions of the ones you use, either."

"Well…the magic comes from the Titan, the giant thing that eventually became the isles." Luz said.

"Ah…" Ultra said in understanding. "Still, it wouldn't hurt to take a look at some examples from other worlds. Here, there's these kinds that are elemental glyphs, but a bit more expanded-"

Their conversation came to a sudden end when, without warning, a window shattered as a large fly hurled itself through it!

"What the heck?!" Ultra exclaimed in shock as the fly buzzed and lifted itself off the ground.

"What's going on?!" Rista asked as everyone was alerted, and she recognized the fly. "No way… a Demon Fly?!"

The fly turned towards the group and charged at them quickly, seemingly intent on doing them harm, before it was quickly put down by Theo.

"What in Davy Jones's Locker was that thing?!" Tida exclaimed.

"It's a Demon Fly, which is pretty self-explanatory." Seiya said, looking abnormally confused. "Could've sworn I burned them all, then burned their ashes."

"It's Zenos. He must have gotten strong enough to resurrect them." Theo said.

"But, if he's brought back the flies, then…that means he might've brought back-" Rista realized.

"Cower before me, Cautious Hero, and those who stand with him!" a voice from outside declared, the group looking outside to see a huge army of Demon Flies surrounding the mansion. At the front of the army was a face familiar to the original four Fatebreakers.

"Beel Bub!" Ethox and Mirror Match exclaimed.

"No way! He was reduced to nothing thanks to Transform: Automatic Garuda!" Rista said.

"You're still using that name?" Seiya asked.

"Well we're definitely not using yours." Mirror Match deadpanned.

"So how is this guy alive if one of Seiya's moves obliterated him?" Legolia asked.

"I've got a pretty good idea… look what's all over his body!" Aqua pointed out. Everyone looked to see Beel Bub's body covered in E-Series mold.

"Eveline's mold! She must've gotten some of his DNA and recreated him!" Rista realized.

"It's been a long time, my killers!" Beel Bub shouted down to them. "I can tell by the looks on your faces that you haven't forgotten me. How kind of you."

"Alright, what's this about, Beel?" Ethox yelled back up. "Are you here to try and kill us for Zenos?"

"Oh no, this has nothing to do with Lord Zenos's plans." Beel Bub clarified. "Since my death, the demons of Gaebrande have made a mockery of me! Beel Bub, the little gnat, swattered out of the sky by mere fake birds! I intend to pay you back tenfold for that humiliation. So this, as you humans say, is personal."

"You don't really think this is going to work well for you, do you?" Nemo asked. "We killed Lucifer Crowe, Bug Bite!"

"Ah, but then, you had help and an exploding superweapon." Beel Bub pointed out. "Neither of which you have now. And, as you can see, I haven't come alone! Add that to my new status as a Demonic Molded, and your hopes for victory this time are completely dashed!"

"Be cautious, everyone. Ever since becoming a demon, Eveline's mold is stronger than ever." Darkness said. "Supposedly, any Molded she makes is now completely immortal, recovering from even the most fatal of wounds."

"Well, you guys saw her in Nariko's world, right? How'd you beat her new Molded there?" Neumann asked.

"Nariko used the Heavenly Sword to defeat them. Which means that Demonic Molded can only be permanently destroyed by Divine Weapons or attacks." Tanya said. "Nariko isn't here right now, sadly. Meaning it's up to my Type 95 Enhancements or Aqua's Divine skills to do him damage."

"Be careful, he's a quick one." Ethox said. "We had to take him by surprise to beat him back in Gaeabrande."

"If you're done planning your strategy…I think it's time to celebrate my payback!" Beel Bub declared, pointing a clawed limb towards the mansion. "Ariel Assault Flies! Take their companions and make reverse fireworks out of them! The four from before are mine!"

With that, the army of flies began to dive bomb down to the mansion.

"Airstrike Shield!" Naofumi called out as a number of flies squished against the created shield.

"Reverse Fireworks?" Luz asked.

"It's when he drops you from the sky to the ground." Mirror Match explained. "He calls them fireworks because…well…they explode."

"Ugh…okay. Didn't wanna know that." Luz said. "He's not gonna stop until he kills us all, is he?"

"Well, he's not gonna get away with it." Ethox said.

"All of you keep him distracted and thin his army. Aqua, come with me!" Tanya ordered.

"Uh, right! Where are we going?" Aqua asked.

"To make our own damn miracles." the major replied.

The flies, blocked from getting to the group directly, instead crashed through the lower windows of the mansion, flying their way to get to the group's position.

"Luz, Amity, Catarina, keep your distance, we'll swat these flies!" Legolia said as she shot down a few with some of her arrows.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" Catarina agreed as she hid behind a chair.

"Wait, Amity and I can help!" Luz said

"Your Light glyphs aren't strong enough to blind that many flies." Amity said.

"I know but…" she said before looking at Ultra. "Ultra, show me those symbols."

"Sure! Catch!" Ultra said, tossing her his phone as his Kartana carved his way through many flies.

"Luz, what are you doing?" Amity asked.

"About to try an experiment." Luz said, grabbing some paper and a pencil.

As the flies made it to the main room the others were in, they were surprised to see furniture turned towards them and papers with symbols on them.

"And…fire!" Luz said touching the paper as spikes were firing out and mowing down the incoming flies.

"Luz, what did you do?" Cobalt asked.

"It's the Spike Glyph Ultra showed me. I put them on the furniture…instant spike machine guns." Luz said.

"Well done, Young Luz! Your mastery of Magic Glyphs is truly impressive!" Necroapache complimented her.

"Not really mastery but…it's a start." Luz said.

"Well, make it a jump start, because they're still coming!" DJ said as more flies buzzed into the room.

"We've taken down fifty so far." Goblin Slayer said. "From a glance, Beel Bub brought five hundred."

"Oof, we're in for a long haul…" Nemo grunted as the group engaged the flies.

Meanwhile, Ethox, Seiya, Mirror Match, Theo, Lycan and Kumoko had made their way outside to confront Beel Bub.

"What? Not using your archery skill this time?" Beel Bub asked.

"Please. As if I'd be dumb enough to use the same strategy twice, especially on the same enemy." Seiya said. "You're too smart to fall for that again."

"Ah, how right you are! I underestimated you and that Keyblade wielder last time. I don't plan to do so again." Beel Bub said, spreading his insectoid winds to full span. "Now you'll see why I'm known as the Stat Master of Speed!"

"Stat Master…?" Ethox wondered aloud.

"Most likely a new division of Zenos's forces, and as the name implies, all of them specialize in one specific area." Lycan noted.

"So he's min-maxed speed." Kumoko said. "That doesn't make a difference."

With that, Beel Bub seemed to vanish before the group's eyes, before he reappeared above them, then shot down like a missile.

"Watch out!" Ethox called out as the group dodged, Beel Bub slamming into the dirt, throwing up a cloud of it. Ethox landed backwards, barely having time to catch a breath before he nearly lost his head to Beel Bub's arm. The Nobody found himself on the defensive, his whole focus on blocking the fly demon's rapid strikes.

"Not so confident now, are you, Nobody?" Beel Bub asked before he punched Ethox in the gut, knocking the wind out of him before uppercutting him in the jaw, knocking him down.

"Hey, fly boy!" Kumoko called out as she managed to hook onto him with some webbing. "You're going to be dinner tonight."

"An Arachne?" Beel Bub said. "Ah, I've heard of your kind. In life, I would have feared for my life. But here, it's a different matter!" he said, as he rapidly spun in place, the webbing becoming tanunt as Kumoko began to be pulled towards him.

"He's trying to break free and pull Kumoko in!" Koenig said.

"Heh…now…Warping Evil Eye!" Kumoko said as Beel Bub's arms went and became twisted.

"Argh!" Beel Bub cried out in pain. "Grr…Empty Evasion!" he called, becoming transparent for a moment, managing to escape the webbing as he looked at his mangled arm. "Very well then…"

The demonic fly then took hold of his wounded arm and, with a yell of pain, tore it off and threw it towards the group like a makeshift weapon. He then seemed to focus as the stump left behind began to bubble, then reform into what looked like a hive of some sort. "So this is a mutation…" Beel Bub said. "Let's give it a whirl!"

Beel pointed the hive at the group as smaller flies were shot out of it at bullet speed.

"Agh, dammit!" Ethox said as the group took cover. "Now he's got a machine gun for an arm?! How the heck is Eveline doing this?!"

"Hahahahaha! Lady Eveline's blessings are unstoppable!" Beel Bub laughed, strafing through the air quickly and firing at the group. "At last, after two long years…revenge is mine!"

"Man, this is awesome." Kazuma said as he admired his new katana as he, Gimilor, and Garfiel were walking down the path from town.

"Well, it's a decent first smithing job for a human." Gimilor said. "By dwarf standards, you'd have needed to start with that before you could train under anyone, but still…a decent job, kid."

"It's just a curved sword." Garfiel said. "I don't get why that's any better than a regular sword."

"Are you kidding? These have been a staple of Japan for centuries! Lots of heroes and warriors have used these to forge their legends. And today…I've joined 'em." Kazuma said with pride.

"Yeah, but…isn't it…kinda small?" Subaru asked.

Kazuma deflated a bit at that, as he looked at the reduced length he'd been forced to go with. "...Stupid door." he mumbled darkly.

"Well, all that's left for you to do is name it. Any ideas?" Gimilor asked.

"Actually, there was one I had in mind." Kazuma said. "See, back in Tokyo, Eikichi befriended this stray dog, and he called it-"

"Uh…Kazuma?" Subaru interrupted as he saw the numerous flies around the mansion. "I think we have a pest problem."

"What in the-?!" Kazuma exclaimed, before they heard laughing from nearby. Turning to the source of the noise, they saw Beel Bub firing at the group. "Is that the Human Fly with a fly machine gun?!"

"I'd say it's an enemy." Gimilor said, pulling out a bag of sand and grain. "We'd best assist everyone else, before he razes your hard-earned home to the ground, boy!"

"...Subaru, Garfiel, you get to the mansion, see how everyone else is doing." Kazuma said, completely serious. "Gimilor, you're with me. We're helping Ethox and Theo swat that fly. Let's go, people!"

With that, the quartet split up, Subaru and Garfiel charging through the courtyard (the former throwing up a Shamok to mask themselves), while Kazuma and Gimilor approached the battle.

"225! 226!" Nemo counted as he threw knives into a few flies. "Chins up, boys and girls, we're almost halfway there!"

"This would go a lot faster if Tanya and Aqua could do something right now!" Megumin said.

"Don't worry! They know what they're doing!... Well, Major Degurechaff does, anyway." Viktoriya said as she and the other 501st members shot down as many flies as they could.

Tanya and Aqua meanwhile, raced up to the roof of the mansion, Tanya in her flight gear, having taken some time to suit up.

"Explain to me again… why we're headed…. To the roof?" Aqua panted.

"So we can get a clear shot at these buzzing bastards." Tanya said. "How big of a magic circle can you create?"

"Well, I once made a barrier that surrounded the graveyard nearby… ooooooh!" Aqua realized. "I get it!"

"Glad you caught on to my plan. Hopefully Beel Bub will be too absorbed in his vengeance to realize and disrupt this." Tanya said. "Go ahead and put up a barrier. This will be our parlor."

"You got it!" Aqua said, erecting a magic barrier around the mansion, preventing the flies from leaving. "Now what?"

"Now…cover your ears and open your mouth." Tanya said as she pointed her gun up towards the sky, magic circles appearing in front of it. "Dearest Lord, just like in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, rain your fury down upon those who would turn from your light."

Beel Bub was blasting away, having the time of his life, when suddenly he noticed Tanya charging up.

"Whats this? One of your allies seems to be charging an AoE skill." Beel Bub recognized. "No matter. I'll deal with her, then come back to finish you-!"

"STONE BLAST!" a voice called out as multiple rocks came and shredded Beel Bub's body, the attack coming from Gimilor.

"We're back, guys!" Kazuma said, running up as well. "Who's the Jeff Goldbloom cosplayer?"

"Demon of Gaeabrande." Ethox said. "And he's a Molded."

Beel Bub's body managed to pierce itself back together. "Urg…that still hurts. But it's useless! Now you've sealed your-!"

"Uh, hey, before you do!" Kazuma spoke up as he watched the lightshow happening at the roof of the mansion. "Look, I know you're this evil demon, but you're also probably sheltered, so I'll say it for you. Just this once."

"Say what?" Beel Bub asked.

"Oh…son of a bitch!" Kazuma said as Tanya pulled the trigger, shooting a large blast of light into the air that hit the top of Aqua's barrier and split into multiple bullets that rained down across the mansion grounds. The surroundings and Mythos Hearts members weren't affected, but the flies were vaporized on contact.

"Oh my Demon God!" Beel Bub exclaimed as he continuously used Evasion Skills to dodge out of the way of the beams of light. "Ha! I'm still fast enough to dodge these attacks!"

"But I'm not the one aiming for you." Tanya smirked from the roof down at Beel Bub.

At that, Aqua leapt off the roof, holding her Water Gun and aiming at Beel Bub.

"A pressurized water gun? That's not gonna-"

"Purification!" Aqua called as as the gun shined.

"No…she has Purification skills?! But she's a Water Goddess!" Beel Bub exclaimed as he raised his hive arm up at her. "I have to-!"

Kazuma then ran up, pulling out his katana, and with a desperate slash, cut Beel's hive arm off.

"I'm the only one who gets to hit her!" Kazuma declared. "Ethox!"

"Earthly Robe: Great Tatsumaki!" Ethox declared, a whirlwind launching Beel Bub up towards Aqua, the winds preventing him from moving as Aqua pulled the trigger and fired.

"It can't be…!" Beel Bub sputtered as the shot of holy water hit his torso, leaving a hole in it. "Once again…I'm…the firework!"

With that, Beel Bub exploded in a huge fireball, nothing left of him.

"Woo! I did it!" Aqua cheered, before remembering she was still falling. "AAAH! Kazuma, catch me!"

"I got you, I got you!" Kazuma said, holding his arms out to catch her…only for her to land just out of arm's reach. "Ooohh…sorry."

"Owwww….Thanks…for nothing." Aqua groaned.

"Still, that was amazing, Kazuma. You gave Aqua an opening to finish Beel Bub off. Guess that new sword of yours paid off in spades." Ethox said.

"Guess it was worth crawlin' outta the kotatsu to make this baby." Kazuma said as he held his sword out. "And since this sword saved the day, it deserves an awesome name. And I've got just the one."

Kazuma raised his katana to the sky. "From this day forth, this blade shall be known as-!"

"Chunchunmaru."

Kazuma stopped in his tracks, slowly turning his head to look at the source of the voice, that being Megumin. "...What did you say?"

"Chunchunmaru. That is what you should call it." Megumin said matter-of-factly.

"Alright, I have to call foul on that one." DJ said. "I mean, whoever heard of a sword called Chunchunmaru?"

"Megumin, you shouldn't cut in on the naming of a weapon. Kazuma needs to pick the name for himself, and no one else." Darkness chided.

"But the Crimson Demons pick the best names!" Megumin said.

"Look, it's his sword, not yours." Theo said. "He gets to name it. Go ahead, Kazuma."

"Yeah, okay." Kazuma said, more subdued. "But, I'm actually kind of surprised, Meg."

"Huh? Why?" the arch wizard asked.

"How'd you know the name I was going to give it?" the otaku asked as he applied a piece of paper onto the hilt of the blade.

"...HUH?!" the group exclaimed in confusion, except for Subaru.

"Oh yeah! The stray dog that Eikichi befriended, he named it Chunchunmaru!" the boy remembered.

"What a coincidence!" Emilia said in shock.

"He named it that?" DJ asked.

"Yeah…David was always better at naming things than the rest of us." Kazuma admitted.

"But Megumin, how did you come to the conclusion that Kazuma would give his sword the name Chunchunmaru?" Rem asked.

Megumin confidently snickered. "Never underestimate the perception of a Crimson Demon! I peered into his very soul, and-!"

"You just came up with the name yourself, didn't you?" Granz asked.

"...Maybe." Megumin pouted, the group laughing at that.

Kazuma finished applying the name to the hilt, looking at his work with a beaming grin. "Ah…will you look at that?"

"Yeah…though I see you decided to make a knife instead of a sword." Le Kraken remarked.

"It was the door's fault!" Kazuma snapped. "Actually, you know what? Not gonna let the moment be ruined. This is my sword, that I made, and I'm proud of it. And I just helped defeat a demonic fly servant of Zenos Road, so, you know what? I'm happy." he declared.

"...It matches the size of your-" Ram started.

"I WILL BURY YOU ALIVE, PINKY!" Kazuma yelled.

With another laugh, the group's battle with the resurrected Beel Bub had come to an end. Little do they know that this fight was but a prelude for what is to come…

At the Adventurer's Guild, some time later…

"Did you hear that Sato's mansion got attacked by some sort of fly army?" Dust asked some of his fellow adventurers.

"Really? Is he doing alright?"

"Yeah, I heard he and his party wiped him out. Gotta say, you'd never expect something like that from him, but he can do work when the chips are down."

"Eh, I dunno. He seems more of a planner than a fighter." another adventurer said. "You ask me, that one kid with that weird looking sword is the one to look out for. What's his name? Ethan? Ethel?"

"Ethox." another voice corrected them, the group turning to see a young woman in armor standing there. "Is that who you're talking about?"

"Yeah, that's right. What's it to you?" Dust asked.

"...Where is this mansion?" Princess Rosalie asked.
