Its dark outside, raining, a few kids from the neighbourhood hiding in the home of a dragon, the dragon, telling a story to the kids, who curiously asked about the origin of dragons
"You seem curious, and sweet, so let me tell you about, the story of the 9 legends of dragon's island",
"Long long ago, when the earth was first born, two dragons met atop the peak of a mountain's top, the two dragons were young but curious, they spoke and understood each other, as they were the same kind, they danced together, falling in love,
With all power they have, power of balance, and power of chaos, the lovers rose land from sea, stone from water, a world of their own,
"Dragon's island"
They started their own species, the dragon, alongside the 9 elements of the now known world, spreading their species across the newborn island, feral, two-legged (anthro), or other,
One day, the two species, human, and dragon (and other) met, and started mixing, creating an eternal harmony,
But it went wrong anyway..
the king's wife, the queen of dragons, were hunted down and slaughtered by humans, once more separating the two species for years, "the war between magic and steel"
The king, and his two first children, found 7 other warriors to protect the island after the war, creating the "9 legends", each given their own gem to amplify their powers,
The legend of fire, pyros, carrier of the mega-blade,
An energetic and kind warrior,

The legend of the earth, ruckus, carrier of earth's hammer,
A calm but strong, father like figure

The legend of thunder, thundricc, wielder of the storm-claws,
An energetic, nerdy, and outgoing outtrovert

The legend of nature, florisa, wielder of the bow (& arrows),
A calm, but dominant, and slick person, sneaky

The legend of the ocean, aqua, holder of the ocean's trident,
A calm and motherlike woman, can heal any wound (includes lost limbs),

The legend of permafrost, luminos, carrier of the sword,
A sharp and snarky tutor, but protective to his family,

The legend of wind, gustus, holder of the areal boomerang,
An upbeat and kind guy, ready to fly,
And of course the king's two children,
The legend of light, bridgette, guardian of the light, king's daughter, and a kind and loving woman,

The legend of darkness, darius, holder of the dark scythe, A dark, sketchy, and deceptive ruler, brother of bridgette, son of the king
Long after the legends were found, and the first war has ended, darius built his own army from the shadows, wanting to kill his own sister, and take over the island,
He attacked the island, starting "the war between dragon's eye",
Darius struck and killed his sister, her final light empowered the legends further, but it wasnt enough,
The dark ruler slaughtered each legend, one by one, winning the war,
But with all the power they had left, the legends separated their souls from their bodies, creating the spirits, and together destroyed the legend of the dark, sealing him away to never be seen again,
Millions of years after the war, the dragon's and humans have bonded again, and now the island and the rest of earth have mixed in harmony,
But once the spirits, and the dark return,
A new 8 legends will be born…"
The children were amazed at the tale, and asking the big dragon a lot of questions, the dragon answering them all,
With a yawn from each kid, and the dragon himself, they all went to bed in the dragon's den,
"But thats a story for another day"
