Chapter 3: The Grand Tour
Phoebe was currently brushing her teeth in her bathroom before heading to bed and getting up to go to summer school with John and Podcast. She felt so joyful when reuniting with her boyfriend as she can resume being functional without going into depression mode. It is a funny circumstance that her grandfather moved and died in a hit town called Summerville for reasons unknown. Even though they inherit the land, the house, and whatever is on the estate while not getting any money due to no life insurance or policies.
Yes, it made things a little bit difficult for them but they can somehow manage. After putting her electric toothbrush back on its charger, Phoebe left her bathroom and went straight to her bedroom. Upon arriving she closed the door behind her and sat down on the bed and picked up the strange device she had originally found underneath the armchair. She examined it really well but has no idea what it is or does but knows that it is old.
"Huh, strange-looking thing," Phoebe commented to herself. "Hmmm, it would be best to let my boyfriend have a good look at you. He might know what you are."
Just after she said this the device in her hands started to beep and lifted its arms up. Phoebe looked at the device with confusion on her face as she has no idea how it is activated.
"What the?." Phoebe looking at the thing.
Suddenly on the other side of her bed near the window, her chess set is knocked right off from where it was laying. It made Phoebe jump in surprise when she heard the noise before hearing and seeing the device in her hands go silent, and returned back to the way it was. A brow raised, Phoebe got up off her bed and then set the device down on a small dresser. Next, she picked up the chessboard and placed it on her other dresser near the door before gathering all the pieces off the floor. Placing them back in their proper places before eyeing them for a second.
"Do not know how you fell off but I am not going to worry myself about it," Phoebe told herself before leaving her view from the chess.
Phoebe removed her glasses and placed them right beside the chess and turned her lamp off. Smuggling into her pillow she went right to sleep. When morning came she woke up from both the sunrise and some nearby roosters crowing as that is going to take some getting used to. Stretching her arms and a little bit of yawn, Phoebe got out of her bed and put on her glasses with a fresh positive attitude for today. She made her bed nice and neat and set her pillow in the center, before making her way to the bathroom to get washed up and get dressed.
Phoebe was inches away from her door but stopped when looking at her chess and noticed something strange. There on the chessboard, she saw the brown pawn away from its lineup, and looks like as if someone placed it there to challenge her to a game of chess. Looking at it for a second she then reached the white pawn and moved it up. Once after washing and putting on clean clothes, Phoebe headed to the kitchen where she sees her mom and Trevor eating breakfast of cereals that they packed from their apartment. She joined them before saying good morning and pouring herself a bowl of fruity pebbles.
"Hey, Trevor?." Phoebe got her older brother's attention. "Did you by any chance move the brown pawn from my chessboard to one space?."
Trevor shook his head no before swallowing his chewed captain crunch. "No. I never went to your room and touched your chessboard. I'm not good a chess remember?."
"Right, that is true." Phoebe took a bite of her cereal with the mindset of what to do after a day of summer school.
Phoebe did not need to bother asking her mom since she has zero interest or care about chess or checkers. Last night was strange and unexplained to Phoebe. She never had this type of issue in her life until now. And what makes it, even more, a tab bit stranger is that she had a feeling that someone or something was watching her when she was asleep. She ruled out the idea of paranormal activity as she denounced it as being science. However, Phoebe did not mind getting a second opinion on her current situation. Especially knowing someone personally who is in her personal opinion and the person's self-proclaiming of being the expert of that particular category.
Speaking of the expert, John was in his room getting his clothes on and trying to look nice for Phoebe. He put on his black t-shirt that reads 'Ghostbusters-For-Life' in white with the logo at the bottom. Then he went to grab one of his Jordans that will match his attire before looking at himself in the mirror.
"Yes, sir, I look really sharp," John told himself this before going to his dresser to grab and put on some cologne.
Before grabbing his Ghostbusters-themed bike he said his goodbyes to his mom and drive off. Paddling with much speed as he can not wait to spend time with his girlfriend and best friend Podcast. As a matter of fact, he and Podcast had planned to give Phoebe the grand tour of Summerville after summer school since they would only be there for just four hours. Plus, show her what Podcast showed him when he first arrived in Summerville a year ago. Something that is most interesting and shows proof of evidence about the paranormal and what caused the wild incidents in both 1984 and 1991.
Even though Phoebe will be in irritated denial but John's effort will one day pay off. Or it was destiny that he would rub his 'I was Right' celebration on Phoebe. John truly loves that autistic girl. He loved her and would absolutely do anything for her in a heartbeat. Shoot, he will be willing to give up his own life for her as he knows that she would do the same for him. Their love bond is that deep since the two became best friends in kindergarten.
"Come on Ecto-Bike," John called his bike while paddling faster. "Do not let me down."
Upon arriving at the middle school he could very see Phoebe and Trevor's mom walking away from the school and getting ready to go back into her car. John smiled as he ride up to get attention as she saw him pulled up.
"Morning, Ms. Callie," said John, stopping his bike.
"John." Callie went over and hugged the black boy with delight. "It is so nice for us to have you and your family as our neighbors again."
John broke the warm hug and looked at Callie. "It sure is, ma'am. Oh, and my mom wants me to give you our phone number and address so you and the others can drop by anytime. I'm assuming that Phoebe is already inside, yes?."
Callie grabs the small paper from John and smiled. "Yes, she is. I just dropped her off seconds ago. Make sure she is well taken care of. As her boyfriend, you are responsible for her."
John chuckled. "Would not have it any other way, Ms. Callie. I will see you later."
Callie nodded. "Sounds like a plan. And whenever I get a job around here and buy some groceries, I will invite you or your family to come over for dinner. And knowing Phoebe she will invite you to come over for a sleepover."
"Awesome. I will be in class before Mr. Grooberson marks me tardy. Well, he never does that since I am his favorite student besides Podcast. That and we share the same obsession." said John, before rolling out to go park and lock his bike.
Callie already had the idea of what sort of obsession John and the guy she just ran into not too long ago have in common.
"Talk about getting to know your students and teachers," Callie commented before getting back into her car and driving out of the parking lot.
Once John had locked his bike he entered the building and went down the hall where Mr. Grooberson's classroom is. Upon entering he sees Phoebe trying to introduce herself to the other kids in an attempt to make another friend. Unfortunately, one of the other kids responded by shooting their bag of Doritos at her.
This anger John as he approached them with the mindset of what he is going to do without going overboard.
"Hey, she is new here. Try to make her feel welcome and not the complete opposite. Jackass." John pulled Phoebe by her hand and take her to his and Podcast's spot.
"Nerd lover." called out one of the kids.
"Not Ashamed about it because I am one as well." John stopped to look at the dude with a warning look. "And If I catch any of you jerks or my girlfriend tells me you are bullying and harassing her then, I will beat the shit out of you New York style. No Cap."
None of them responded back after hearing John's dead warning as he proved this last year when one of them had purposely bullied Podcast. They learned that day to never mess with a New Yorker or their friends and family. Phoebe can not help but proudly smile at John for defending her. She just loves it when John refused to let anything happen to her both physically and emotionally. Once that was said the two sat in the back where Podcast sat and grinned at seeing his best friend's actions.
"Dude that was so badass." grinned Podcast as he and John fist-pumped.
John smirked. "I know. I am a badass when the situation needs it."
Phoebe sat down in between the two. "John always defended me back in New York numerous times. He shows his aggression when it is needed."
"Damn straight I do." John opened his bookbag and pulled out his wireless headset.
Phoebe saw this. "Are we supposed to learn something?."
John shook his head. "In summer school we don't with Mr. Grooberson. He will just put a VHS movie in and let us either watch it or do what we want to do. As long as we do not leave the classroom unless we are going to the bathroom."
Mr. Grooberson came in from the back room with a fat tv on wheels and pulled in front of them. Then he grabbed the VHS box and pulled the tape out.
"Today we are going to watch a horror classic called Cujo." Mr. Grooberson looked at everyone before putting the tape inside the machine. "In case none of you guys do not know what Cujo is, he is like the dog Beethoven but with rabies. Enjoy."
As he pressed play on the old machine he retreated back into the room to do whatever it is that he is doing. They watched a little bit of the movie even though John is listening to his music while Podcast is interviewing Phoebe, who is answering every question being asked of her before the interruption of the earthquake. Everyone was alert by this except for John who got used to it. Which reminded Phoebe about this.
"John?." Phoebe shook John by the shoulder to get his attention.
John removed one of his earbuds. "Yeah?."
Phoebe looked at her boyfriend. "The earthquakes. What are your theories about it?."
John paused his music from his phone. "My theory was the traveling of tectonic plates. I figure that the increased heat of the earth's core is expanding wildly it encourages the plates to expand to an area where they don't shift."
"Hmmm, sounds good." Phoebe turned her attention to the room where Mr. Grooberson went.
John noticed this as he nudged her. "Why don't you go and introduce yourself to our science teacher?. He too is investigating sudden earthquakes as well. He is a really cool dude. Me and him share the same love and obsession for the Ghostbusters."
"Ah, boy." Phoebe rolled her eyes at this. "Another silly person who believes in paranormal activities and is a fan of the Ghostbusters. It was bad enough it was just you."
"Make that three." Podcast got Phoebe's attention. "I did not know who the Ghostbusters are until John arrived here in Summerville. I must say they sound pretty darn amazing."
Phoebe sighed. "I'm surrounded by silly ghost lovers." she looked at her smirking boyfriend. "And you are the worst of them all, Ghost Head."
"Just go and say what's up to Mr. Grooberson, Twinkie Girl," said John, before putting his earbud back on and resuming his music.
Phoebe gave John a quick soft slap on his bicep before getting up to go see the man named Mr. Grooberson. She entered to see the man monitoring a small device that is a seismometer. Phoebe looked in front and noticed something that catch her interest.
"Hey, what is this?." asked Phoebe, approaching the large map.
Mr. Grooberson took his sights off his machine and saw Phoebe and did not want her to be in the same room as him.
"Um, you know, there is a highly entertaining movie about a killer dog happening right over there." Mr. Grooberson tried to distract her but had no luck.
Phoebe looked at the man. "Is this a seismic map?."
Mr. Grooberson looked interested. "Uh, yes. Yes, it is. How exactly did you know that by any chance?."
Phoebe fold her arms and smirked. "It is a seismic activity. It is very common in science class you know. Are you seriously a seismologist?."
Mr. Grooberson shrugged his shoulders and had an embraced look. "Is it so hard to believe?."
"Somewhat." Phoebe looked at the man. "You look more like a football coach than a seismologist."
Mr.Grooberson chuckled. "Yeah, John says the same thing when I met him and have him as one of my students. Besides Podcast, John is my top smartest student in Summervill Middle School. I'm lucky to have him and have another person that loves the Ghostbusters. Even though he knows way much more about them and everything paranormal."
"Tell me about it." Phoebe eyed the map again and examine the drawing add on's. "He is my boyfriend."
"Boyfriend?." Mr. Grooberson blinked and looked at Phoebe for a minute. "You're Phoebe?. So you are the girl that John has been talking about."
Phoebe looked at Mr. Grooberson. "He does?. Well, not want to brag but I am his favorite girl. I'm assuming you heard his theory on the frequent earthquakes."
Mr. Grooberson approached right beside Phoebe and looked at the seismic map. "Yes, he did. John's theory is good."
"Well, to me this does not look like either tectonic or volcanic." Phoebe looked at the man and explained. "You see, based upon this map the earthquakes of this town both builds and crests."
"Right and it is a tectonic volcano," said Mr. Grooberson pointing at the map. "Notice a little P-wave followed by a large S wave?. Well, this is the pattern in Summerville. It is like a constant explosion."
"Any idea where this is coming from?." asked Phoebe, looking back at the man.
"That is just it." Mr. Grooberson looked at Phoebe with seriousness on his face. "I do not know. I set up geophones, but I can not triangulate. Even John has yet to figure it out."
"Are you using three and not more?." asked Phoebe.
"Pfft, of course, I am using three," said Mr. Grooberson.
"Well, I asked because I just thought you were being obtuse," said Phoebe.
When Phoebe said that she winked at Mr. Grooberson and hoped that he catches her drift.
Mr. Grooberson raised his brow in confusion. "Wait. Was that a geometry joke?."
"Uh, yeah that was a joke. That is why I winked. Yeah, I know that is so corny of me." said Phoebe, a bit disappointed.
"Somewhat. But humorous. I love it.," said Mr. Grooberson, before guiding her back to where the others were.
Upon the end of the day of summer school, John and Podcast gave Phoebe the whole tour of Summerville. They showed her from the medium-sized public library to the dollar movie theater. So far the tour is looking promising to Phoebe as the town itself is starting to warm up on her. Even though she still misses the Big Apple and all of its value. Still, she is willing to give Summerville a chance since now that she and John are physically together again. Plus having a new friend in Podcast.
"I can really see why you and Podcast would find some trouble to keep yourselves entertained. This town is lacking just about everything," said Phoebe, waking beside her boyfriend.
"I told you this town is a straight ghost town. This town doesn't have a freaking McDonald's. Uhh, man, I would do anything for a sausage egg and cheese mcgriddle and a large caramel mocha frappe. Well, not almost anything." said John, looking at the empty streets and sidewalks.
Podcast turned around with his microphone in hand. "Hey, at least we have Walmart."
"Yeah, a Walmart with no indoor McDonald's," said John, a bit disappointed.
"No kidding?." Phoebe looked at the two in disbelief.
"Yeah, no kidding." Podcast smiled when pointing his microphone at her. "Say something. I love recording my friends and family. Don't worry I'm not going to use it for my podcast or anything."
Phoebe and John stopped walking and so did Podcast. Phoebe have no idea what to say as she stood there a bit frozen. John already said his thing by saying that NY and Northside are for life.
"Phoebe tell Podcast one of your jokes." John grinned at the idea he just had. "Podcast has a great sense of educational humor just like us."
"Yeah, John told me about you making jokes. Lay one on me." Podcast encouraged.
Phoebe gave it thought on which joke would be good enough to say. "What do you call a dead polar bear?."
Podcast shrugged his shoulders while John tried to keep his laughter in before the punch line.
"Anything you want. It can not hear you," said Phoebe.
Just like that Podcast busted out laughing and so did John. Phoebe smiled at seeing this and is happy that someone else gets her jokes other than John.
"I told you she is a comedian of logic!." John laughed with tears running down his face.
"Yeah, she is!." Podcast laughed. "Phoebe you are a riot!."
"Yeah, that was a good one was it not?." Phoebe resumed walking with the boys with a proud smile on her face.
"Well, there is one more thing to end the grand tour of Summerville," said Podcast, getting on his bike.
John nodded with excitement as he guided Phoebe to hop on his bike. "Right. This is one of my favorite sights to see in Summerville."
Phoebe got behind John and had her arms around his waist for support before he rode off with Podcast. She leaned her head on his back like a pillow as she closed her eyes with a smile. Loving the ride as she always rides with John on his bike in New York. They take turns when riding the bike both going somewhere in the city and heading back to their home apartment. It felt like an hour but with really just thirty minutes and crossing over an old rusty metal bride to reach whatever it is that John and Podcast want to show her.
"And made it with great timing." Podcast spoke when stopping his bike.
"Yep. Phoebe, we are here." John looked at his girlfriend who is slowly waking up. "Wakey, Wakey, Twinkie Girl."
Phoebe woke up before looking at their surroundings and see the area is clay dirt. She let go of John and got off the bike to see where the boys have taken her. From what her eyes are showing her she sees what appears to be an old mining company that has been closed and abandoned for decades.
"What is so special about this old mining company?." Phoebe asked.
"Well..." John took her hand and guided her closer to the sign with a big grin. "This mining company was founded and formerly owned by Ivo Shandor the architect. Aka the occult leader of Gozer worshippers."
Phoebe frowned a little after hearing this and looked at John and Podcast. "Are you two serious?. You guys brought me here to a wannabe conspiracy that relates to the Ghostbusters."
"It is not a wannabe, Phoebe." Podcast smiled. "It is facts."
John guided Phoebe inside while putting their bikes on the side and entered the mining cave. Upon entering they found themselves in an area where there is a clear empty space with a carved detailed wall in front. John and Podcast showed Phoebe the handmade carving picture that looked like a big temple with lighting in the background and two big-looking dogs on each side of the temple.
"There is one interesting fact about Summerville, Phoebe," said John, watching her touch the carving.
"Which is?." Phoebe asked while feeling the carving of the art.
"This place is the very first Gozer occult worshipping place that Shandor built. The mining company itself is nothing but a front in order to keep himself and his followers from being exposed or caught in the act." John informed while feeling the carved Zuul art.
"Shandor did some wild shit rituals in this cave and attempted to bring froth Gozer in our dimension," said Podcast, playing around by disappearing and reappearing with the curtains to entertain Phoebe.
Phoebe shook her head. "Gozer is a hoax make-believe." Phoebe looked at John. "A silly fairytale."
John fake laughs. "That is what the Gozer occult wants you to believe. Shandor has tried for years to bring Gozer here to Summerville but failed due to the lack of members based on the town's population, despite the metals he dug up from this mine. And so he moved back to his estate and planned at making full attempts in New York."
John went behind Phoebe and put his arms around her frame before resting his chin on her left shoulder. "He had the cash to fund and be in charge of building the Sedgwick Hotel. The National History Museum. The New York Public Library. And the Shandor Apartments. That is not including his handy work on his family's island."
"So true," said Podcast, looking at the wall once again in amazement.
Phoebe sighed. "My delusional boyfriend has been feeding you a hunk of smelly garbage since the moment he moved here. Oh, what am I going to do with you, John?."
John snuggled his nose to her neck. "You tell me."
Phoebe can not resist smiling when John rubs his nose against her skin. He truly knows her secret weak spots. John turned Phoebe around to face him as he can see her blushing. He just loves it when she looks down at her feet trying to hide her smiling blush. John gently lifted her chin up and smiled at her before leaning in to kiss her on the lips.
Phoebe did not hesitate in kissing her lover back. They kissed while Podcast started voice recording himself.
"Uh, Yes. Young love. A boy and a girl show their emotions for one another. Truly saying that love conquers all." spoke Podcast, trying not to laugh.
John broke the kiss and looked at Podcast with an eyebrow raised. "You are killing a good romance moment dude."
Podcast shrugged his shoulders with a chuckle. "That is why they called a third wheel."
Phoebe looked at Podcast. "No kidding. You two ready to go now?."
Agreeing on the question the three exited out of the cave and the abandoned mining company itself. They ride down to the area where Phoebe lives and just walked down the road and talked a bit more. Phoebe was convinced by John to be a subscriber to Podcast's podcast and be a third member of their lab partners and making it a trio team. The three amigos. They continue on walking until a solo farmhouse appeared as Phoebe stopped.
"This is where I live," said Phoebe.
"No way you live on the Dirt Farmer's farm." Podcast looked in awe and shock.
"Wow, Phoebe that is so cool," said John, looking at his girlfriend.
Phoebe raised her brow in confusion. "Dirt Farmer?. This town calls my grandfather the Dirt Farmer. Why?."
"Well, based on what everyone told me and my folks, the Dirt Farmer never grows any corps or takes part in any festive activities of the town. He is antisocial from what we were told. I personally wanted to go say what's up to the guy, but the guy never was home. I have no idea he is your grandfather, Phoebe." said John, still holding her hand.
"Hmmm, I see. It is strange how my grandfather lived here without any of us knowing and died." Phoebe walked forward and pulled John along. "We are having a sleepover."
"What...now?." John was not expecting this. "I need to inform my mom and dad before we can even think about a sleepover."
Phoebe shot back at John. "You can call them on the way we reach my house. Podcast do you want to join us?."
"Nah." Podcast was filming them in case something pulls them apart. "Wrong day and time for me. Next time I will. Until then you two love birds enjoy yourselves. See you guys tomorrow."
After saying goodbye to Podcast and after John had called his dad and mom about getting permission to stay over at Phoebe and her family's place. Upon entering and saying hi to Callie and Trevor, Phoebe guided John to where she slept as she also needed him to check something out for her. That is if he knows what it is.
"John, I found this device underneath the armchair after myself, my mom, and Trevor got up from underneath the table after the earthquake. Here have a look." Phoebe said handing him the device.
John's eyes went wide when seeing the device as he took the device. Examining it very good and well and was in great disbelief. Phoebe watched her boyfriend, and she can see that John was fascinated by this device while assuming he knows what exactly it was.
"No freaking way." John looked back at Phoebe for a quick second and then back at the device in his hand. "Baby, how did you obtain an actual legitimate P.K.E meter?."
"P.K.E meter?." Phoebe looked confused. "You mean the one that you told me about that the Ghostbusters use to track down a ghost?."
"Uh, yeah." John looked at the P.K.E meter and then back at Phoebe. "How did you get this?."
"As I said, I found it underneath the armchair. It was there the moment we arrived here," explained Phoebe while seating on her bed. "But why?."
John looked at the old device for a few seconds until his mind hit a hypothesis and assumption. He got extremely excited as he put the missing puzzle together after remembering the facial features of one of the Ghostbusters and comparing it to Phoebe's.
"You are going to be in denial." John grinned big.
Phoebe leaned back on her bed with her leg over the other. "Lay it on me, Ghost Head."
"Phoebe. Your grandfather...is a Ghostbuster. Much less he is none other than Egon Spengler!." said John, with enthusiasm.
"I'm sorry but what?." Phoebe looked in denial.
"Phoebe, I can not believe that I did not see this years ago." John sat down beside Phoebe. "You and Egon are just alike. He loves twinkies. You love twinkies. He has an autistic personality. You have an autistic personality. I'm just over-excited that I'm dating the granddaughter of Egon Spengler!. Man, talk about destiny."
Phoebe shook her head and denied it once more. "John, I am not who you think I am. I'm just Phoebe Simpson. Your girlfriend. Not a grandchild of one of your favorite members of the Ghostbusters."
"Oh, really?. Then explain the P.K.E meter being in your grandfather's house?." John pointed at the device.
Shrugging her shoulders, Phoebe then said, "He is probably a collector."
"Or he was a Ghostbuster." John lifted the device up and spoke. "Dr. Spengler?. Hi, my name is John Domingo. I'm your granddaughter's best friend since kindergarten and her current boyfriend. Phoebe is having doubts and disbelief about you and the guys' adventures in the paranormal. Can you do me a small favor and reveal yourself to us?. It does not have to be outstanding. I'm willing to buy you a family-sized box of twinkies."
Phoebe shook her head. "You are looking real foolish here, John."
Before John can speak back, the P.K.E meter went off as the arms lifted up. This made Phoebe be quiet when seeing this again. John was also quiet and excited about seeing this in person. He got up from Phoebe's bed and followed the signal. He found it on the chessboard. Phoebe raised in curiosity as she looked at the chessboard and see that the brown knight was in the attack position of the white pawn.
Phoebe got up off her bed and went over to the chessboard with John. "I forgot to tell you that my chessboard had somehow fallen over from where I put it, but it was not on the edge and so I put it here. This morning I woke up and saw the brown pawn in the first move. I put the white pawn on the first move as well. I thought that Trevor had moved the brown pawn but he said he never came to my room."
"No cap?." John looked at the still-active P.K.E meter. "Move the white knight."
Phoebe did what John told her and placed the white knight in position.
"Dr. Spengler?." John asked and waited.
Suddenly, the brown knight levitated up to both John and Phoebe's astonishment and see it forcibly knocked the white knight off the chessboard.
"Well, shoot, Egon, you did not have to be aggressive," said John, before aiming the meter out to the doorway.
When doing so the wall light lit up. Indicating that he wants them to follow him.
"Come on," John told his girlfriend as she grab her left hand and placed it on the meter's handle with his hand on it as well. "Let us follow your grandfather together. And yeah, I am right about the paranormal and the Ghostbusters all along."
Phoebe did not argue with her boyfriend after seeing the display of her chessboard. All those years she did not believe and doubted everything that John has told her about the Ghostbusters and the ghost activity itself until now. She had become wrong and it hit her like a ton of bricks. As for John he never gave up on anything supernatural or the Ghostbusters themselves. Seeing what just happened let alone having the actual P.K.E meter in their procession it felt like Christmas and his birthday had come earlier this year.
They followed the ghost signal and walked past Callie who was at the dinner table and passed out drunk with a bottle of wine and a wine glass near her.
"What a wino your mom is," commented John.
"You should have been knowing that every New Year, John," added Phoebe.
The two walked into the living room and stopped where the ghost signal had taken them. It leads them to the armchair. John handed the meter to Phoebe and pushed the chair back and looked at the floor.
"What do you see?." Phoebe wondered when kneeling.
"A floor puzzle. Sweet." John looked at Phoebe with excitement. "Wanna solve it or should I?. I say it is ladies first."
Phoebe smiled as she handed John back the P.K.E meter and went to solve the puzzle. In just seconds the floor opened up and revealed something inside. John reached down and pulled out to his surprise.
"Is that?." Phoebe looks at it in pure shock.
"A ghost trap?." John looked at Phoebe with strong enthusiasm. "Fuck yes!."
Suddenly his phone beeped a text and pulled it out to read it from the person that sent it. To his surprise, it was from Egon Spengler himself.
"John, you owe me a box of Twinkies. The family-size box. And nice to meet you let alone impressed by your knowledge of the paranormal and myself and the others. Will talk more soon fellow Ghostbuster fan. Until then enjoy your sleepover with your girlfriend who so happens to be my only granddaughter."
"Who texted you, Ghost Head?." Phoebe asked when grabbing the trap from his grip.
John showed his phone to Phoebe. "Your grandfather texted me."
Phoebe looked at the screen in shock with her eyes wide. "No shit."
"I shit you not, Twinkie Girl," said John, looking at the P.K.E before closing the secret cubby back and putting the armchair over it as if they never went over there.
(A/N): I hope you guys have enjoyed this sweet and awesome paranormal chapter here. Please review and have a good day or night. Go Ghostbusters!.
