Spider-Man: Webmaster Season 01 Episode 01
We open upon a sign that reads Neo York City: Where oppertunity comes to knock and move in seeing many things that would be considered futuristic, or just alien and more commonplace as we see an elevator bus moving up and go in through one of the windows on a young man with dark hair sporting a brown jacket as the news was rambling on about Parker-Powers takeover and a guy dressed as a clown with pointed ears had come in and sprayed the tv with paint.
The guy in the clown outfit then went and sat down beside a woman stating "I saw you smile, yes I did." and held out his hand as if expecting something.
The dark haired young man walked over and grabbed the weirdo by the arm and pulling it behind the guy's back shoving him away from the woman stating "Get lost clown." and we see them hitting a pole with a noticable dent in it.
The Clown got up and began acting like he was gonna fight but then stuck out his tongue blowing rhaspberries and ran out the side exit into the building.
"Goblinz.." The Guy sighed annoyed as we fade off to a building with Hamilton Hill High School along with a blue circle that had HH drawn on it and some girls had gone into the gym to see what was going on.
"Sounds like Nelson's got another victim, I wonder who it is this time?" The blonde girl spoke going to see who it was this time.
We see the dark haired guy from earlier and in olympic style werestling gear as the Dark haired girl beside the blond says "Hey it's Terry." as the two watched them wrestling.
Nelson despite being better physically than Terry was hanving a hard time getting anywhere and spat in Terry's face which the Choach had blown the whistle on calling "Nelson, hit the showers."
"I so had you." Nelson spoke angry while unwrapping his arms and going to get his stuff together.
"Ya, keep telling yourself that." Terry called back as he'd noticed the time and calls "Sorry Coach, but I gotta go meet up with my dad." and headed on off too.
We see a man with spiders in display cases that didn't seem like natural specimines as he was on the computer checking something out that seemed important by the look on his face as Terry had come in calling "Knock Knock, ready to go?" asking the guy if he was ready indicating this was his dad and he'd gone checking out the spiders that were in the room and noticed one was missing.
"I'm almost done with a project." The man, Terry's dad, answered back telling him to just head on without them.
Terry slams his hands onto the table with the display and says "You always say that and yet you're never done dad!"
"Terry this work is important." His dad stated to him which just frustrated him more as we see one of the spiders from the display was moving away.
"Ya, well so am I! Or at least I should be." Terry answered back and began to leave stating "Forget it, finish your work. I'm bailing, at least mom would have heard me out." and stormed off about his dad trying to blow him off for his work.. again. We then see him running out of the shouse that seemed to be attached to an uper level of the streets of the city.
We see the girls from earlier dressedfor a night out witing in line to get into a club with Terry coming over and tapping the dark haired girl on the shoulder saying "Boo."
"Hey, I thought you had plans for the night?" She'd spoken about him being there instead of off with what he was supposed to be doing.
"Change of plans." He answered back with a shrug as they'd heard a car skid across the place and park very poorly with one wheel up on the curb with Nelson and a couple of other guys getting out.
They'd herd some weird sound and see another group coming over on bikes with one of them jusing Nelson's car for a ramp to jump over. One of them had grabbed up the dark haired girl as they were driving by and sh'ed struggled against him making the guy have to stop with Terry grabbing the guy by the arm.
"Hands off Dreg." He'd told the guy distracting him so the dark haired girl could get away and he'd thrown the guy, who also had pointed ears alongside all the other gang members, into the side of Nelson's car and and denting the door in the process.
The others began to give chase on their bikes and one tried to attack him with a flail but he'd ducked and it hit a pole wrapping around it and jerking them off of the bike as even more guys showed up to go after him. Terry picked up the downed guy's bike and climbed on driving off and putting the helmet sitting on the side of the bike on for safety.
Terry drove off the side of the street and down one of the slanted support poles underneath it down to a building at the base of it and then off of the building and off towards the harbor as some tried to follow but failed and well.. crash. Some up above had noticed he was headed off in the direction of the harbor and went to cut him off.
He'd driven across the harbor and up towards an older building that was off by itself atop a hill hoping to loose them there, but they'd followed and so he'd driven off further towards the buidling finding a guy there that appeared to be around his dad's age, maybe slightly older using a cane and he'd swerved to miss them crashing into a tree.
"Aw, the no fun boy had an accident." The leader of that group of crazies stated to them about Terry crashing.
"Leave him alone." The man stated to them walking over towards them before adding "And get off my property, you're tresspassing."
"Who do you think you're talking to old man?" The leader questioned going over to them and grabbing him by the shirt stating "We're the Goblinz."
"Sure you are." The man answered back and bacshed him with his cane knocking them into their group as Terry went to stand alongside him ready to help the guy fight.
The two had actually managed to make quick work of them sending the gang retreating in the process and Terry says "Man you're something, I've never seen anyone.." But noticed that he was leaning against a wall and breathing heavily and so cuts off his train of thought asking "Are you alright?"
"My medicine.. at the house." The man stated pushing a button on a remote and opening up a gate with Terry helping them to get into the building with the dog barking at them. "Down Ace, he's okay." The man told the dog and they'd calmed down allowing Terry to get the man inside.
Fading off we see Terry bringing the man some pills and a glass of water handing them over saying "There you go, the pill were right where you said."
"Well I'll just let you rest now, thanks again for your help with those guys. Guess I'll see myself out." Terry spoke as the man had slumped into his chair, but was thankfully just resting as you could hear them snoring and he went to leave but Ace was barking at him and he'd shut the door and says "On the other hand maybe I'll just give him a call, my life is so over.."
He'd sighed taking out a device used to communicate with and noticed that one of the panels in the wall seemed to be loose and he'd pushed his had against it with part of the wall then moving up revealing a staircase surprising Terry that something like that was there and he'd turned on the light switch which revealed what looked to be some sort of base of opperations judging by the large computer and the different vehicles down there.
He'd gone to check it out and discovered multiple suits that had a spider theme to them, a classic red and blue, one that was mostly red and black with white strips across the belt area and the wrists on it. There was another that was like the one with white strips only they were blue now, along with a red and blue one with gold armbands and a large gold spider on it. And finally the last one was mostly purple and black with a red spider motif that had a red spider on it with the upper legs attached to give off the look similar to that of bat wings.
"Whoa, no wonder he could fight." Terry spoke to himself reaching for the purple and black one out of curiosity and rolled to one side as we see the reflection of the man with the cane swinging it down at him.
"Get out!" He'd growled at Terry and we then see that Ace had shoved him out of the gate as it shut automatically by itself.
"Alright I'm going, but it's not like I did anything wrong!" Terry called back looking at the light that was still on and then turned to leave with his hands in his pockets saying "Freak." as he'd done so.
Terry had seen the police around his house and went to see what was going on worried as a red haired woman ran over hugging him saying "Terry, thank goodness you're safe!" seeming relieved that he was okay too.
"Mom? What happened where's dad?" He questioned looking worried as his mother looked off into the building saddened again.
"There was a robbery, they said that your dad was caught by surprise." She'd answered back as Terry moved to race off.
"No, no no no no no!" He'd called running towards the building and shoving past the baricade finding paint all over the walls that had various pumpkin faces on them and ran off to a room where he'd seen the body bag and slumped over onto his knees next to a photo on the floor when he'd noticed a faint beeping sound and looked towards it seeing a small device stuck to the underside of the desk and he'd grabbed the photo frame and all and ran towards a window as we see the front of the home where an explosion had gone off blowing up everything inside.
"TERRY!" Called out Terry's mom worried as the officers and everyone held her and the rest of the crowd back away from it as they'd began trying to put out the flames.
We Then cut to Terry who'd been clinging to the side of a building completely surprised by the fact he was sticking to the wall and he tried to jump down onto the beam behind him and managing to stick to it and began to climb down looking confused about everything.
"Okay McGinnis think, you're sticking to walls like Spider-Man, what else can you do.. Let's try the webbing once we get down to safety." He'd though aloud to himself and turned himself so that he could slide down the rest of the slanted beam and once safe at the base he'd began trying to figure out how the webbing thing worked, but that was a total bust. He'd picked up the photo and decided it best to call his mom on his Phone and sent a message that he'd managed to get to safety by sliding down the beam after jumping out the window.
We then finally see The News had been talking about Terry's dad Warren stating that he'd left behind two sons Terry and Matt McGinnis along with his former wife Mary, and Warren's employer Derek Powers as well and the television was turned off as Mary had been speaking with Matt saying "Why don't you go on to bed okay?"
"Okay." Matt spoke getting up to go and do that while sniffling and rubbing his eyes and Mary then went over to a door opening it up where Terry was sitting in the dark. "That friend of your Dana called, she left her number."
"Why would he open the door?" Terry questioned confusing his mother. "He wouldn't have opened the door, they were Goblinz, he would have looked first.. How'd they trace me back to him."
"Honey we don't know if it's the same gang." His mother spoke trying to help him in some way "You've gotta Sto"I Should have been there! I could've helped him, done something, anything!"" She'd began to continue but he'd cut her off.
"I could have help him, we could've fought them off could've.." Terry spoke still frustated then stops and begins letting tears fall "I yelled at him mom, the last thing i ever said to him was that he put his work before me and compared him to you. The things I said.." He'd continued as his mother hugged him. "The things I said, I wish I could have gotten even a moment to tell him I was sorry, I'm such a jerk."
We then fade to Terry getting what little stuff had survived the explosion into his room and set them down shutting the bedroom door and went to put the photo he'd saved into a new frame as something had fallen out with him looking at it confused and went to check was was on it using his computer discovering some heavy stuff on the files.
"I have to go for a bit, I might be late getting home." Terry called out taking the drive and going running out the door and then we immeately cut to a car stopping with the dark haired girl from earlier driving as Terry says "Thanks for the ride Dana. If you follow the street it curves all the way back around to the freeway."
"I can't leave you out here." The girl, Dana, stated to him about leaving him out there but he'd gotten out anyway.
"Sure you can, I just have to see this guy." Terry told her saying to just leave him there. I'll explain later but right now you can go ahead without me." Once she'd driven off Terry pushed the button for the com and says "C'mon I know you're in there, listen, something in your company stinks I think it cost my old man his life!"
He waited for an answer but there wasn't a response, not even the dog barking at him and so Terry pushed the button again saying "C'mon I think the answers are on this!" as he'd held up the drive he found, look I'd take it to the cops but you know how cozy they are with Powers!" and still he didn't get an answer "Alright fine then, I should have known you wouldn't care. You're no Spider-Man you wacked out old Fraud!"
He'd turned to leave and the gate opened up to allow him onto the grounds as we move up and zoom towards a window seeing the man standing there looking down at them.
