Spider-Man: Webmaster Season 01 Episode 03
We see that Peter had moved up to Derek's office using an elevator as Powers seemed surprised to see he'd actually showed up stating "Come in Peter, what a pleasant surprise. Howe've you been holding up?"
"With a cane." Peter answered back as they'd continued walking towards the desk in the office to see what they were up to.
Powers shut the folder on his desk and says "Very cleaver, we're lucky to have you as a resource." while Peter just turned and began to leave taking a look at one of the new art piece decorations. "I'd rather prefer you didn't touch that."
Peter reached for a hankerchif from his pocket and dabbed it onto his head stating "In case you're worried, I didn't come here to set up shop again. Just a quick social call to see how things are going." He'd stated to Powers about not actually wanting to take control back from him and was simply checking up on things.
"I see." Derek spoke as they'd moved down out of the office from the elevated platform and seen Terry there stating "The McGinnis Boy."
"I work for Mr. Parker now." Terry stated getting up to walk over to them as the platform had been completing it's loweirng onto the floor.
"Yes well, with your father gone I suppose that would make you the breadwinner." Power stated to Terry, though he didn't answer and instead left with Peter.
"So, did you beat it out of him?" Terry questioned Peter about getting the info they were after at the moment.
"Not exactly, but I do have some things to check out." He'd stated to Terry as they were preparing to leave.
"So about what you were asking earlier, my dad was experimenting with spiders and one did managed to get away so it's possible I could have been bitten in my sleep or something." Terry stated back about everything.
"That's most likely the reason then." Peter stated back as they'd been going to leave the building.
We then cut to later on when there was a game going on at school. Nelson had slammed one of the other team's players into the clear wall of the tube they were in and made them slide down to the bottom and winkied at Dana.
"Eww. Is it wrong for me to be rooting for the other team?" Dana questioned watching the game play out.
"In this circumstance, not really." Terry answered back and his communications device had rang and he'd answered it. "Ya but.. Alright then."
"Mr. Parker?" Dana questioned and Terry nodded preparing to head out "He's sure got you under a tight leash it isn't normal."
"You have no idea." Terry stated to Dana as he'd headed off to go and take care of what's going on right now.
"Parker, you there?" Terry questioned now wearing the black and purple Spider-Man costume he'd stolen previously and been allowed to keep it and use the old Spider-Man name for hismelf by Peter.
"Ya I'm here, go ahead." Peter answered back stating he was there and letting him ask his question.
"Is there any time of day that I get to have a social life exactly?" Terry, er.. Spider-Man, then questioned the man.
"Not in this business." Peter answered back checking out the hankerchif that he'd used earlier and opening it up revealing a strand of black goo.
"You get a real qick out of this, don't you?" Spider-Man questioned him landing atop a roof. "Y'know maybe it should be you up here instead of me."
"I'm doing my part." Peter answered back about working and was looking through a speacialy designed microscope.
"Which is what again?" The new wallcrawler questioned about what he was doing exactly to help.
"I did some digging after I saw a report on Powers' desk." Answered back the former wallcralwer about what he's doing while continuing to check out the goo. "It sees that he and the company that's been attacked are up for the same job, the government wants a new lunar station, but only one of them gets to build it."
"So Powers is crippling the competition with sabotage." Spider-Man stated getting the gist of just what's going on before noticing sparks inside of the building "Looks like someone's celebrating with fireworks inside their office. I'm going in." he'd then swung down and crashed through the wall.
Terry had found something and was checking it out seeing that it was like the black ooze that Peter was checking out as well and we see the ooze on peter's end broke out of the slide with Peter calling "McGinnis, get out of there!"
"In a sec, I'm.." The new webslinger spoke but something had seemed off and he'd moved to dodge out of the way but had been grabbed by his ankle and thrown head first into a computer and dropped to the ground. "Ow." he'd stated getting up with the ooze grabbing him before he could react and began to swing him around and making him crash through the computers and stuff.
He'd looked up from where he'd crashed and saw what looked like a single eyed blob that had a feminine shape to it that then escaped through the vents of the building. "What the heck was that?" He'd questioned surprised by what he'd just fought.
We then fade off to Terry back in the base stilll in costume but without his mask questioning "What the heck did you send me into? It was like some kind of blob, you should have warned me!"
I tried, you have to learn to think on your feet, you got a spider-sense don't you?" Peter answered back but Terry wasn't sure about that.
"What's a spider-sense?" He'd then questioned the elder man about the thing he'd been talking about.
"It's this thing in your brain that gives you a strange sensation that warns you of danger." Parker answered back about that.
"Oh, is that what that was?" He'd questioned about the sensations he kept getting about the strange feelings he'd been getting.
"Yup, learn to trust it, I onced had to blindfold myself and rely purely on it alone because I couldn't trust my eyes with one of my old enemies." Peter answered back about that.
"Look, you may be used to dealing with freaks and monsters but I'm a little new to this, I don't even know what half the stuff here even is." Terry stated looking around the base not sure how to handle things like that.
"This place is the Nest, it's from before your time back when it was an active plumber base. When it was decomissioned I bought it off of the plumbers and renovated the building up top into a house to live in." Peter answered back while checking out things on the computer. "There, here name's Inque. She's a corporate saboteur. Interpol has been after her for years."
"Looks like Powers is her new emplyer. But what is she exactly?" Terry stated walking over and questioned just what he was up against.
"She's the result of a mutation experiment, the details aren't really known." Peter answered back about dealing with Inque.
Terry looked over at Peter before then questioning "Okay, so how do you stop her exactly?" wanting to know any weaknesses.
"That's where thinking on your feet comes in. Take Gossamer and see if you can find her next target." He'd answered back about the new wallcrawler's question.
Terry nodded and put on his mask again and then looked confused questioning "Gossamer?" looking over at Peter who simply smirked in response.
We then see a high tech vehicle flying through the city and we see that Spider-Man was inside of it flying the vehickle stating "This is unbareably cool."
"Remember, easy gestures. Let the suit do the work." Peter spoke over the communcations in the mask of Terry's costume.
Terry however had made it go faster and was playing around with the controls having a good time calling "Whoo-hoo!"
"Would you mind not doing that please?" Parker spoke being able to see through the visuals built into the mask.
"Sorry." He'd quickly apologized and went to check out where they might attack next given where they've hit previously. "So why Gossamer anyway?"
"Gossamer is what you call the thin strands of webbing that some spiders used to catch the wind and fly from place to place." Peter answered back about why he chose that name in particular. "I've just picked up a radio call, the shipping bay over at pier eighteen."
"I'm on it!" Spider-Man called turning around to fly off to that particular pier and stop what's going on.
When he'd gotten there one of the hovering forklifts had been about to crash into a building but he'd lauched a missile from Gossamer and blasted it apart and then chased after Inque when she'd appeared ejecting from Gossamer and landing on top of her slammping himself down flatting Inque in the process but she'd quickly pulled herself back together and attacked him. Spider-Man then tried a couple of the spiderangs but she'd just sent them back at him.
Inque had gone to attack him and says "you're not exactly a fast lerner are you?" though she then takes off and Spider-Man had jumped from the platform landing in front of her blocking her path.
She'd tried to run but was blocked off by the water and Spider-Man noticed this stating "So, you don't like the water huh?" kicking some water over at her which she'd moved out of the way to avoid and then sunks herself into the ground ripping up the tiles under them and knocking him into the water below.
We then cut to a building on fire as Spider-Man had used Gossamer to get there but it was already being taken care of by the fire fighters "Anyone inside?" He'd asked one of the workers in the uniform and they'd shaken their head no.
"This facility is fully automated aside from maintance and we've all made it out okay." The worker answered back.
"There's nothing you can do here, come home for now." Peter told him and so he'd went back to the vehicle with something feeling off so he'd stopped and was a bit warry about getting back into the vehicle.
"Something's wrong, spider-sense is going nuts when I get close to Gossamer." Spider-Man stated into his com about something not feeling right.
That seemed to surprise Peter and he says "Let's find out." pressing a button on the computer that made the vechile electrify it's shell as they see Inque appearing from where she'd tried to blend into the black part of it's design and been zapped by it screaming out in pain and dropping from it.
"Nice, hey does Gossamer have any water based weapons or foam or something?" The webslinger stated before asking about something that could help.
"There's a cryogenic projectile you can throw at her." Peter answered back and pushed a button making one of the cannisters drop out for Terry to use.
Smirking Terry then picked it up and hurled it at Inque's feet as hard as he could causing it to explode and encase her in a block of ice in the process. "Alright you so gotta show me everything when I get back."
We then cut to a blond woman with a short haircut getting a call on her, well what passed for a phone now a days, and says "Captain Stacy." before listning to whomever was on the other end and then says "I figured I'd hear from you sooner or later. I heard you've got a new errand boy."
"Would you like to meet him?" Peter answered back as we see him sitting in the chair behind the compter. "Because he's leaving you a get-acquainted gift right now." We then cut back to Stacy who'd opened up the blinds on her window surprised to see a large bag floating outside her window attached to a spider shapped drone of sorts. "I'd keep it on ice if I were you."
We then see Gossamer flying past and off into the distance as the woman watched them leave until he was quickly out of sight.
