Spider-Man: Webmaster Season 01 Episode 06
Terry had been watching a show where a guy was revealing secrets of celebrities and about some stuff that wasn't quite appropriate especially for Matt who'd questioned "What are they doing?"
Terry tried to block his little brother from seeing it and says "This kind of thing isn't for you." and continued trying to block them with Matt then running around the couch with his older brother chasing after him.
Their mom turned off the TV and says "I don't want you watching this. Either of you." having the remote in her hand while she did so.
"Come on it's just entertainment." Terry told their mom with a shrug not getting why it's such a big deal.
"You wouldn't find it so entertaining if you were on the recieving end." She'd stated before walking off with Terry considering what she'd said.
Fading off we see Gossamer flying through the city when an alarm began to beep with Spider-Man inside stating "Sounds like something is happening in city hall." flying off to find out what.
"City Hall? Better be careful then." Peter stated back into the communicator built into the mask "You've never had to face politicians before."
He stopped atop the building and dropped out of the hatch seing this weird looking person running atop the roof and tried to web them but they phased through it instead. Spider-Man then tried to tackle them but again phased through the guy. The guy jumped and phased through the wall of the building next door and the wallcralwer went through the open window chasing after them into the next room over looking for them when his Spider-Sense went off and he dodged them.
He tried to attack them but he'd phased through again and the guy grabbed him by the leg swinging him into large crates. Something was definately wrong here, the guy could hit him but he couldn't hit them. The guy broke one of the pipes in front of him and turned on a lighter dropping it with the liquid from the pipes going up in flames and causing the tank it was stored in to blow.
The next day a man ws showing them something on his desk stating "Don't forget that this modle Atom isn't built to actual scale. If it were and if a nucleus were actually this big these electrons would be over two miles away. Any questions?" The man then asked the group in front of him and we then see Terry raising his hand. "Mr. McGinnis, you're awake."
"Aren't you saying that the stuff we think of as solid is mostly empty space?" he'd then questioned the teacher. "If that's the case then there must be a way for one solid object to move through another right?"
"Well that depends on the circumstances, the ghosts found in Amity Park for example have a way to do this but exactly how the manipulate their ectoplasmic states to do this still has yet to be fully explored. And species such as Necrofrigian have their own way of doing it without Ectroplasm, however outside of that most scientists believe that nuclear forces make that impossible for the average person." The teacher then explained to them.
"You said most?" Terry then questioned about those that did believe that there was a way to possibly do that.
"There was one scientist who thought the forces could be circumvented he was head of the research division at Parker-Powers." The teacher explained as we then fade off to Terry in the Nest standing next to Peter.
"I knew him well, Nobuo Taka. He developed a theory called viber-space." Peter explained pressing a button on the computer pulling the information up. "He thought atoms could be made to vibrate in such a way that they could pass right through each other."
"Like that guy from the other night. But what would Taka want from that tong gangster?" Terry questioned about what he could possibly want.
"Taka died years ago. There was a fire, it destroyed all his research too." Peter explained stating that the man had died a long time ago.
We then cut to Terry riding on the elevator bus thing he rode when he busted that Goblinz creep bothering people as that show he was watching earlier was playing and he'd gotten up to go somewhere.
The guy from the show was speaking to one of the guys from behind the scenes of the show and says "It's probably just tension while taking a couple of pills.
"I'd be tense too if I was exposing the mob like that Ian." The guy from behind the scenes stated to the guy from the show stating that his name was Ian.
"Nah, don't worry about it. I'm untouchable." Ian stated back about behing able to handle the situation.
"That's exactly what I think." Spider-Man then states coming down on a webline to speak with Ian. "Untouchable."
"Don't you have a boot to lick?" Ian questioned the guy from behind the scenes and getting the message the guy then turned and left them alone and Ian then turned back to Spider-Man who was walking over asking "You were saying?"
"I'm saying that you, or someone who works for you figured out a way of moving through walls." The wallcrawler stated back letting Ian know that he was onto him.
"Moving through walls, if I could do that I'd be a very rich reporter." Ian then stated back in response to him.
"You are." Spider-Man reminded him about already being rich and heard someone breaking in seeing the guy who was squealing to the cops in the video Ian had pointing a rocket launcher at him.
Spider-Man threw a spiderang at the other two guys shooting and made them drop their weapons and the guy from the video blasted the door to where Ian had ran into before then being attacked by the webslinger as he'd taken them down and webbed the guys up leaving them dangling and left.
Going back to Gossamer he'd gotten in and flown off going back to the Nest and gets out to speak with Peter stating "Peek's the one. He's found a way to move through solid matter."
"You're sure it's him?" Peter questioned wanting to have it completely confirmed that he was the one they were after.
"During the fight he went into a broom closet and disappeared." Spider-Man then stated about him just up and vanishing while taking off his mask and sighing as all of a sudden both his and Peter's spider-senses had gone off and he'd put the mask back on quick trying to find what's going on.
Ace had growled at Gossamer and they'd discovered a camera with Terry taking it off of there and getting mad "You couldn't have warned me before this thing came on?" He'd questioned his spider-sense frustrated and snapped it.
"Peek probably had video footage of us now. I'll give a call to an old contact to see if they can help us out of this mess. For now go home and get some sleep." Peter told Terry who'd sighed and did just that.
The next morning Matt had come into the room all excited stating "Get up you gotta see this, it's Spider-Man!" and ran off back to the tv.
This got Terry up quick as he'd gone to see just what his litte brother was talking about Spider-Man exactly with Peek on tv stating "It's some sort of underground base of sorts but what it really is, is more like a bizzare museum of old costumes and the like, and the cheif curator is this man. You know him as Spider-Man but he has another identity, one that I'll reveal tonight on The Inside Peek."
"Schway." Matt spoke seeming to be mesmerized by the idea getting to know Spider-Man's identity.
"But that's not all, you'll also see the face of Spider-Man's mysterious friend. And you'll find out what part he played in Neo York's greatest secret." Ian had stated while some text had been scrolling across the bottom of the screen but didn't reveal anything.
Terry's phone had rang and he'd answered it saying "Mr. Parker, it's playing on the web." while listening in on the teaser.
"I know it's been playing ever two hours since dawn, I've been trying to get through to some old friends about helping stop it." Peter answered back about having someone helping out.
"And if they don't make it in time, secret's out just like that?" Terry questioned if that meant his secret would be blown out into the open. "I don't want my family finding out about it like that. If they find out I want it to come from me."
"I never said you couldn't tell anyone Terry, only that you should make sure that you know you can trust the people you tell with the secret." The older man answered back telling Terry that if he believed that he could trust them that he could tell them himself.
Taking a deep breath Terry then calls out "Mom, can you come in here for a moment?" and waited for her to join them.
"What is it honey?" Their mother questioned coming into the romm asking what was bothering Terry as his tone of voice seemed to show that it was important.
"Mom, Matt, there's something I need to tell you." Terry then stated to the two of them as they'd both looked up at him wondering just what he had to say. "I.." he began to state before taking a deep breath before stating "I'm Spider-Man."
The two had began to laugh not believing him, however he'd jumped up onto the cieling and stuck to it crawling over to being just above them making them quiet down and go wide eyed to see that he wasn't joking and that he was actually Spider-Man.
"It's a long story." Terry began to tell them after they'd quieted down knowing that they'd want to know more about what's going on as the tv had said the inside peek was canceled due to attempting to reveal information on previous P.H.D. hero identities.
We then cut to Ian trying to force Peter to fix him but given Peter still had his spider strenght he'd thrown them into the wall as Spider-Man arrived not long after and they'd watched Ian phasing through the ground being unable to keep himself as solid anymore and Peter took the drive containing the footage putting it into his jacket.
"It looks like there's only one force that has any affect on him anymore. Gravity." Peter stated to Spider-Man as he'd phased through the ground completely.
"He always loved the inside stories, that's about as Inside as you can get." Spider-Man stated back to his mentor with a sigh as the two stared down at where Ian Peek had just been.
"By the way I'm grounded."
