Spider-Man: Webmaster Season 02 Episode 02
"Alright, what did you do exactly?" Dana questioned once they'd gotten Phantom Hawk to the medical bay to recover.
"Lay off him, Spider-Man saved my life. If he hadn't slown me down I whould have been in the blast range when the missile went off." Phantom Hawk stated from the bed he was in.
"It is strange that it went off once it reached the exact same level you were in. What's more it was laced with Ectoplasm so that it would affect your unique phsyology." Static stated about the blast replaying it over and over trying to figure out what was going on.
"Why didn't any of the rest of you respond to the distress signal? Spider-Man I get he's not official but the rest of you.." Phantom Hawk questioned about the situation though they all just looked at him confused.
"You're the only one that got the signal, someone wanted it to be you specifically in the blast alone and I'm starting to get the picture of just who it might be." Spider-Man answered back about what's going on.
"Shiip." A small green and black mechamorph blob spoke out to the group while coming over looking like he'd been tired.
"Ship, I thought you were visiting Ben?" Marina questioned as the little blob shook what would pass for their head no in response.
"We gotta go talk to Albedo about this." Static stated wanting to see what Albedo had known about what was going on.
"You can talk, I got other plans if the new guy's right." Phantom Hawk stated getting up ready to go after resting for a couple of hours.
They'd gone to speak with Albedo and Ship surprisingly growled at him with Spider-Man's spider-sense going off to warn him of danger now being around Albedo. "Hold on somethings wrong here." he'd told the group.
Ship the changed into his gattling form and immediately began shooting at Albedo repeatedly damaging the shirt he was wearing and causing the chest of it to be ripped off revealing a strange starlike creature attached to him.
Albedo had transformed and left after the thing had been revealed and Ship had jumped out through the hole Albedo busted out of and changed into the sleeker hovercraft form and opened up allowing them to jump in before then flying off tracking the Biomnitrix signal and landed in an underwater cavern.
"Look sharp Albedo's a wild card with the Biomnitrix." Static stated about the situation as they were looking for him.
"Or maybe he already knows we're here and is laying a trap." Aquagirl added to the conversation while looking around.
"I say we find him first." Wonder Woman stated to them ready to get on the move again and going after them.
"I second that." Phantom Hawk agreed with them about going to stop Albedo and the thing on him before anymore trouble could happen.
They'd discovered Albedo who'd went to transform calling out "Atomi-X." but when he's put the bands together he'd actually changed into what looked like a cross between The Worst and Nanomech.
Phantom Hawk then blasted them into a wall with an ectoplasmic blast and the group went over to check this thing out as Aquagirl reaches for the creature with Spider-Man stopping her questioning "What do you think you're doing?"
"Maybe I can connect to it, they do appeared to be similar to that of a starfish." She'd answered back as he let go of her hand letting her try. "It appears to be oold centuries. It came from a world of water where Ship and Albedo had done a mission there and had stuck to Albedo's pants leg without him noticing." She then began to explain while Ship growled at them.
"So how did it managed to get ahold of Albedo and what's it doing now?" Spider-Man questioned wanting answers.
"The creature had attacked Albedo because of being frightened while along the way home and since Ship couldn't leave Albedo out in space they'd come along for the ride." Aquagirl answered back about what happened. "Though once on earth Ship tried to get rid of the creature using Albedo as a host but the creature figured out Albedo's powers through linking with him and blasted a hole in Ship leaving him to recover."
"And the rest we know from there." Static answered back about the whole situation with Aquagirl nodding in response.
"The creature seems to have bigger plans however. Follow me." She'd spoken leading the way as they were dragging Nano-Worst with them still unconscious.
"So how bad are we talking here exactly?" Wonder Woman questioned as Aquagirl had led them into a chamber where there were thousands, possibly millions of these star creatures.
They were jumped by the little star creatures but Static had been able to juice himself up and make them drop off of him while the others had been taken over, all except for Spider-Man who'd dodged them thanks to his spider-sense. Static then zapped the ones coming at them and backed up alongside the webslinger.
"Hey, how come that didn't work with that Big Chill Shocksquatch combo form Albedo's got?" Spider-Man questioned why Static could zap them but Albedo couldn't.
"Shocksquatch is like a bug zapper and I'm a hydroelectric dam." Static explained to them about being able to zap them.
"Think you can get that thing off of Albedo and the others?" Asked the webslinger and Static nodded blasting the one on Albedo giving them the chance to fight back and to rip it off of him hitting the Omnitrix and changing into a form of a combination of Heatblast and Gutrot.
"Thanks for getting me out of there, guess I gotta get more training against mind control." The Heat-Rot stated and blasted a bunch of them with flames like that of a blowtorch causing them to shrivil as the others prepared to attack.
Wonder Woman went after Albedo who blasted the star creature in their singular eye. causing them to shrivel and drop down from her face. Once freed she'd started fighting back against the creatures that were trying to attack them.
Phantom Hawk had charged at them and Spider-Man pushed a button on a device that caused a green see-through shield to pop up which the half ghost thanagarian hybrid crashed into and slid down onto the ground.
"Mini Ghost Sheild Projector courtesy of Phantom Hawk." Spider-Man stated to the creature that had latched onto them. After noticing Aquagirl was trying to dive into the water he'd called out "Static, the water!"
"I'm on it." The Electrokinetic hero stated blasting the water with his powers and causing it to zap all of the creatures inside of it and they'd began to float to the surface.
When Aquagirl floated up too the webhead jumped into the water grabbing and pulling her to safety climbing up out of the water through the mouth of the pool and pulled on the zapped creature making it let go of her and throwing it back into the water.
Heat-Rot blasted all the rest of the ones on the surface into the water and Static gave them another jolt just for good measure as Phantom Hawk had come to and Spider-Man turned off the shield. Once they were all in the water Heat-Rot then dropped a device that caused the water down below to freeze with all those creatures in it.
"Alright now that they're contained what exactly should we do with them?" Questioned Wonder Woman about how to handle the situation now that it's over.
"We should send them home, after all they didn't ask to come here, it was an accident." Aquagirl answered about what they should do.
"Problem is not even Ship is big enough to carry them all." Heat-Rot stated to them as Ship growled at the creatures while poking at the ice with what would pass for a front paw for him curious.
"Wulf ni bezonas portalon por sendi ion malproksimen." Phantom Hawk stated into a communicator.
"Was that Esperanto just now?" The wallcrawler questioned about how they were speaking over the communicator.
"Jes, ĉu vi parolas Esperanton?" Answered back the Thanagarian Half-Ghost hybrid hero about what he was asked.
Nodding Spider-Man then answered back "Jes, sed mi ankoraŭ lernas." and they see a portal seeming to be ripped open with a large werewolf like creature with sharp claws coming out.
"Vi diris, ke vi volas ion movi?" The Werewolf creature questioned looking over at Phantom Hawk though some of the others couldn't quite understand.
Hitting the dial Heat-Rot then changed into a combination of Brain Storm and Ampfibian "Amp-Storm." He'd then called out the new transoformations name then says "Alright one sec and I'll connect the two of you."
Using the electrical pulses in their brains and the hightened intellect to act as a sort of Psychic medium between the two so that she could show him exactly where they should send those thing. After seeing what he needed Wulf then looked at all the frozen creatures and seems to be measureing for how big a portal they would need.
"Forigu ilin eksteren, mi bezonas pli da loko." Wulf told the group and Phantom Hawk nodded ging to fly under them.
Phasing the whole block and everything in it up to the surface above the cavern, Phantom Hawk took the entire thing with him. The others howerver had to use different meathods to get on outside eventually meeting up with him and the block.
Wulf made his way to the top of the frozen pillar those things were trapped in and jumped clawing down ripping over a rather large rift that would go to the homeworld of the creatures and the group pushed them on through knocking the ice pillar over into the snow and halfway through the portal as they did so. Eventually they'd gotten them all through and the pillar began to melt in the water rather quickly under the sun of the world they were now at letting the creatures swim away back to their own oceans and things as the largest one seemed to wave as if thanking them before diving into the water as well.
"Well Kid I gotta say I was wrong about you." Phantom Hawk stated putting his hand on Spider-Man's shoulder.
"Think you can get used to it?" Albedo questioned Spider-Man about joining for real while changing back to his human form with a green flash that was almost blinding.
"Maybe someday, after you've all actually taken a vote first." He'd answered back as Gossamer had come to land in front of him as he was walking away from the Front Line members.
"Spider-Man wait a moment." Aquagirl called out as he was about to jump into Gossamer to leave making him stop to turn towards her "You forgot something."
"What'd I forget?" He questioned pretty sure he did have everything he needed to take with him so that he could leave.
Once she'd gotten to be standing in front of him Marina reached forwards pulling up part of his mask stopping just at the bridge of his nose before stating "This." and leaned forwards kissing him.
Spider-Man began to smirk in response to being kissed by her and says "Maybe you guys will see me around more often afterall."
