Bart was now ready to be baptized to the Catholic Church. He knew the witness had to be part of the catholic church. Bart knew one student who was the scariest student in class, Michael D'Amico.
Didn't Lisa know him? Bart burst into Lisa's room, before realizing that was improper and disrespectful. "Sorry, Lisa, my impatience got the better of me." "It's fine, Bart." "You know Michael D'Amico." She nodded. "We aren't friends anymore." "Is he okay to talk to?" "Of course, he isn't a bad guy."
Bart found Michael at school. He was for once happy his mom said no to Catholic school until he spent a year in church. This made it easier to track Michael down. "Michael, I wish to ask for a favor." "What do you need?" "Can you be a witness to my baptism?" "Yes. You know you could've just asked me in church." Bart wanted to slap himself, "Right. That wasn't wise." Bart avoided cussing with major will power.
Father Sean wasn't happy about Bart being baptized on a Wednesday because he preferred Sunday baptisms due to recommendation of the Rite of Baptism for Children, but understood that Bart wanted his family there, so allowed it. He wished Bart's father would reconsider converting instead of going to the protestant church.
Bart was happily baptized with his family there, and a Catholic witness too. Marge kept her tears to herself, her baby was Catholic. What did she do to deserve this? Lisa a Buddhist and Bart a Catholic? It was blasphemy! But she would support her kids no matter what, even if they weren't welcome with her in heaven.
