Spider-Man: Webmaster Season 02 Episode 03

We see a building that was being guarded and watch as someone snuck around the guards up front and watched from the shadows as another guard from inside had gotten close and a web grabbed them from behind and pulled them up into the air before then being webbed up so that they couldn't scream. The figure in shadows had held up his finger gesturing for them to be quiet before then jumping down onto the ground.

They'd taken out a special card and put it into the secruity id scanner unlocking the door and went in. The screens on a monitoring system had gone fuzzy and the guard stationed there reached for his gun, but the guy from the shadows grabbed their hand and then knocked them out in a single punch.

He then ran off going into a locked room busting the door open and began to look around. He began to go look around when the light came on and we see that the person in the shadows was actually Terry who'd held a Spiderang at the ready for the person who turned on the lights.

"I've been expecting you Terry McGinnis, or do you prefer Spider-Man?" The dark skinned woman spoke as we see that her hair was starting to turn white due to age. "You can put that away, take off your coat and sit a spell."

"Peter says you're the go to for the quickest way to get answers. I would have called but, you're not exactly listed." Terry stated about why he was there exactly.

"Of course, why else would you break into the lair of the great and powerful Amanda Waller?" She'd then questioned about why he was there. "How about some tea?" She'd then offered going over to the teaset and poured some into a small cup.

"I'm here for something a little more important than Tea." He'd told her showing Waller the papers his mother had given him.

"You'll have to humor me, it's been awhile since I've had a young gentleman caller. Why is it that Superheroes are always good looking?" Amanda answered back looking over the information while sipping the cup in her hand and went to sit at the desk while reading them.

"Think you can help me out with this?" Terry questioned Amanda about his situation he'd found himself in.

"You know, a simple test would give you the answer." She'd answered back going over everything about this situation in particular.

Terry then sighed and answered back to her "Maybe, but it won't help me find them after I get it."

"I suppose that's true. One little prick is all it'll take. But I want something from you in return." Amanda answered back to him stating that she wasn't about to simply do it for free.

"Name it." He answered back wanting to know just what the price was for finding out this information.

"Promise me that once this is over you'll continue to be a hero. The world needs someone like Spider-Man in it, and if anything major happens take the time to heal. I don't want you going out and doing something stupid like Peter did to leave himself permanently injured." Waller then stated about her price for helping him out with this little side mission he's got for himself.

"Done." Terry then agreed without hesitation to that request wanting to find out the information.

Waller took something out of her drawer and gestured for him to come over and says "Stretch out your arm and give me your hand."

Doing so she'd taken a whipe and opened it cleaning off his index finger before stabbing it with a sewing needle to make it bleed before gathering the blood onto a slip of some sort and placed it into a scanner. The two stood and watched the computer screen as it'd given them the information surprising them to see.

"This is too surreal." Terry stated about the information that he was seeing on the screen. "It's gotta be some cosmic joke."

"Well, the universe works in mysterious ways Terry." Amanda spoke printing out the information and handing him the papers back along with the new page she'd just printed. "No go find out the truth."

We see Terry nod before then fading off to a large mansion with the name Hardy written on the mailbox and see a woman who's hair appeared to be nearly white, though younger than Waller more around Eddie's age maybe instead walking into the building. As she walks into the front door we see Spider-Man above the woman's front door up on the high wall watching her as if contemplating something.

With a deep breath he'd decided to do something and cleared his throat to get the woman's attention as she turned towards the sound seeing him up on her wall "I'm not here to fight." He'd told the woman jumping down to stand in front of her. "I'm here for answers."

"Answers?" The woman questioned watching him warily as he'd held the doccuments in hand and handed them to her as if that would answer her question.

She began to look at the doccuments though still cautious and then looked wide eyed and looked at him as he'd pulled the mask off of his face. "I wanna know why?"

The woman led him to the living room and sat down as Terry sat down on the couch opposite her waiting for the answers to his questions and why it'd turned out the way it did. She'd seemed to want answer but was having a hard time giving him the information that he wants to know. He'd continued to sit there waiting for the answer as she'd seemed to be looking for the right works.

"We'll.. I gues that it's best to start.. Mhmm.. Well, do you know about Liz?" She'd finally decided to start trying to explain.

"I do." He answered back about knowing what happened to Liz which seemed to help her better be able to figure out what to say.

"Well, I did try to help after that.. He tried to move on once, but.. Well we tried to date but it was clear that he still wasn't ready to let go. At the time I thought he never would. Sure we went through the motion of a relatonship but it was clear Peter was just doing what he thought he was supposed to do. That's not the kind of man that would be ready to be able to step up." She'd finally stated to Terry about the situation.

"So then why?" Terry continued to questioned wanting to know just why things had to be the way they were now.

"I realized Without Peter to help be who you'd need that I wouldn't be able to be the woman you'd need me to be. I even contemplated the alternate route, but I couldn't go through with it. You didn't ask for the life you were given after all." She then answered back about why things had to be that way "I remembered a friend from when I was in school and her husband were having difficulties so I left you in their care."

"The note I was shown didn't have a name on it, you didn't think to have given one?" He'd questioned why she didn't at least do that much.

"Milo Leon Parker, but I wanted them to truly love you as theirs, coming up with their own name for you would help with that." The Hardy woman answered back.

Terry stopped to take in everything that she'd said and then looked up at her questioning "Did you ever come back?"

"Once, I watched you from a distance and saw that you were happy with the McGinnis family that made me happy so I left knowing you were loved. That was enough for me." She answered back about having come to see him. "There's not much else I can tell you really. I never went back after that."

"I guess there's only one thing left for me to do now." Terry spoke putting his mask back on and preparing to head out.

"If you.. if you ever want to visit, I wouldn't mind." She'd then called off to him as he'd been about to leave.

Spider-Man nodded and pushed a button with Gossamer coming to pick him up and he'd jumped ito the vehicle and headed on back to The nest where peter had been checking things on the computer. "So, find what you were after?" He'd questioned looking over at Spider-Man who'd taken off his mask.

"Ya, and I think I finally know what the new costume needs to be completed." He'd answered back going to run the program fininishing the edits and having a specialized printer make the costume for him.

"Hm.. Interesting design." The elder man spoke looking at the design while Terry had gone to try it on for size.

"It feels right." Terry answered back walking off to go and put on the new costume after it was ready.

He'd come out not long after now dawning a mostly purple costume with green spiders on the arms that had spikes coming from them along with them attaching to the main logo on the chest that looked like a large spider that had given off the look of being sorta like a skull. The eyes had a unique pattern but was also vastly different to the old design and atop the mask was what looked to be catlike ears made into the costume all tied together with the addition of a weblike cape on his back.

While he'd been ganging a distress signal had come from Aquagirl on the front lines and Peter says "Just in time."

"Ya." Terry answered back tossing the envelope that he'd shown Waller and Hardy over at Peter and hopped into Gossamer flying off to see Aquagirl battling a fire creature and says "Just in time." before firing off a Cryogenic Missile at the creature freezing them in their tracks as Aquagirl waved at him and he'd jumped out in the new costume.
