A/N No one has made a comment on it yet, but I wanted to make sure everyone understands the continuing changes to Xander's name. The adults are calling him Alexander, calling him this is based off of Epione's suggestion, which used it as an example of referring to him by a name he, himself did not want be called by. (In canon we never find out why he goes by Xander, it's never explained, so various authors have come up with their own reasons, so have I and you will see that reason soon. Yes, Epione said it was because of Willow, but didn't go into detail).
Buffy, Willow and Oz haven't yet made the transition to calling him anything else, and Buffy and Willow will probably be a little stubborn about it. Cordelia is the only one whom he has so far asked to call him Alex. Soon he will be asking the others to as well.
Now on with the story.
After hanging up with Amelia, Giles called each of the children and left a message asking them to meet him in the library after school to discuss Epione's revelations and Alexander's new status, adding to Alexander's message to meet him in the library during his free period, so they could have a private discussion themselves first. He then headed up to his own library to research what would be expected of Alexander. As well as potential powers and issues being an Avatar of Janus would bring. His research was most enlightening. He couldn't wait to discuss it with the children. Afterward he checked his books to determine if he had an appropriate summoning ritual. He did, and saw that he would need to make a trip to the magic store to get some ingredients. He would need a large crystal and he didn't have one.
The next morning dawned bright and beautiful. Some met the new day with enthusiasm. Alex was humming as he got ready for class, making sure he dressed in nice clothes, he didn't want to disappoint Cordelia and he liked the way she looked at him when he wore something other than Hawaiian shirts.
Cordelia took her time, also wanting to look her best. She already was planning how to deal with the sheep and use it as an opportunity to dig a little revenge against Willow. She didn't plan to do much, since that would probably hurt Alex and she didn't want to do that. Just a little something to burn the bitch.
Buffy wasn't so happy when she got up. Yesterday, after her mother and Faith had gotten back from the mall, mom had sat her down and they had had long talk. Mom really hadn't been happy and let Buffy know it. She felt stung by everything her mother had said. On the other hand she had given her some advice for dealing with everything, so hopefully it would help.
Willow woke with a headache, still feeling bad about the last couple of days, but determined to try to work through it with the others. Hopefully she wouldn't get kicked out of the group and maybe they would eventually forgive her.
When Alex's free period rolled around he headed for the library. The rumor mill had been running all day about him and Cordelia getting back together. There was also a story going around that Willow had set the whole 'Cordelia catching them kissing' thing up and used hypnosis to get him to kiss her. He had to admit it was a good story and close to the truth. He figured the story was Cordelia's way of getting some revenge and found it fitting.
Willow had been giving him sad puppy eyes all day and Buffy was avoiding him. He hoped they both could deal because he knew things were about to change even more.
