A/N So I am going to take a moment and put in an author note here. There are a few things I need to clear up and some points I need to make in regards to my thinking in how this story is evolving.

First, two plot holes I have discovered in what was originally going to just be a one off but instead became chapter one of this story. No one has mentioned them, but I dislike plot holes and feel they need to be addressed.

In Epione's explanation of the corrupted and guardian rituals, she says Xander met the conditions of the guardian ritual, but not the corrupted one. If that was true he would only have been affected by the guardian ritual and not the corrupted one and his behavior would have been very different. In point of fact he met the conditions for both rituals, simultaneously. How you might ask? With a single act. The corrupted ritual required an act of violence, the guardian ritual required an act of sincere protectiveness. By pushing the bully away from his intended victim, Alexander simultaneously acted in a violent, but protective manner, thus meeting the conditions of both rituals in one move.

The second plot hole has to do with Epione's explanation of what was missed in regards to the Halloween chaos spell. She pointed out why Alexander should not have been effected by it, by did not explain why he was affected. Giles only asked if Janus used the spell as the means of bestowing the knowledge of Alexander's counterpart on him.

Both of these will be addressed by Janus himself, once the gang finally gets around to summoning him, which will be coming up soon.

Next I want to address a review that stated that Willow was not responsible for the fluke because in canon she tried to do an anti-lust spell. In fact we don't actually know that that was what she was trying to do. What we see, is her attempting a spell on Alexander with neither his knowledge nor consent and telling him it's an anti-lust spell when he catches her. And if you're going to bring up her going to the magic store to get ingredients, take another look at that scene. Willow tells the clerk she is researching an anti-lust spell and shows her the list of ingredients she is looking for. The clerk looks amused and tells her there are better ingredients to use if she really wants to do an anti-lust spell. So early on in her magic use, as well as during the whole fluke fiasco, you have Willow willingly using magic on someone without their knowledge or consent. This just feeds into my belief that she is manipulative and controlling. And I stand by my belief that the scene where she uses the oh so convenient Lethe's Bramble on Tara, shows just how quick and easy it is for her to use it. Why have it there if she hasn't used it before?

Now as to the issue of Alexander's powers as an Avatar. Yes he will have some and actually, I think the powers list I have come up with could explain some of what we see him do in canon, at least it would if he didn't know he had powers and things randomly happen that could be attributed to them. The powers are from the list of what a Janus Avatar in the Percy Jackson wiki would get. So credit to the wiki and the writer/publisher of the books. I haven't even read them so I certainly don't own them.

One more thing, Alexander still has his talk with Giles coming up and this is going to be an opportunity for him to vent. I am using his vent to express a few more issues I have with the show. So these are my views, my opinions. Everyone is entitled to their own.

Thank everyone who has reviewed, they have been mostly positive and even helpful.

Now on with the story.

Faith meandered down the hall of the high school, trying to decide which of the options Mrs. S had presented her with she should take. Option one, enrolling in high school. She had been out of school since the prof died last year and that would put her way behind her classmates, which wouldn't be fun, on the other hand she would see the gang every day and maybe they could all actually become real friends. Wouldn't that help with the things Epione thought she needed help with, so she didn't get her own butt hijacked like X had? Homeschooling didn't really appeal though, maybe GED? Getting a GED had the added bonus of meaning she could get a real job sooner and have real money and not have to rely on robbing vamps. Though she would probably keep doing it since it was a waste not to. X would probably agree and even rob them himself if he had a chance. Miss I am so Important (thank you Epione for that little epitaph) and Miss I pray to the god of homework, probably wouldn't. Queenie would probably say you can never have too much money. The Watchers would be all disapproving and tut-tutting. Which would be fun to watch. Faith looked up when she heard a whiny voice say "Even if Rosenberg did that hypno thing on Xander Harris and made him kiss her, why would you want get back with him? He's a loser, what could he possibly do to make you want to date him."

'Hypno thingy? Oh she must mean hypnosis, is that what C is telling people happened? Gotta admit with these sheep that's probably a believable explaination. As for a reason for C to stay with X, how about -

Faith strolled up to the gaggle of girls and said, "Oh how 'bout lots of orgasms? Seems like a good reason to me. I mean last week before Queenie and Xand decided to get back together, he and I rolled naked and let me tell you, he has got some great hands on him, not to mention he's hung like a horse." Total silence met Faith's announcement and Cordelia, spotting Buffy and Willow standing a few feet behind Faith and staring at her shocked, said, "Did he do that tongue thing? That tongue thing always makes my eyes roll back in my head and my brains feel like their leaking out of my ears when I come. He's really good at that." Faith looked amused and said "Nah, but he probably would have if you two hadn't decided to get back together after we found out what Red did to him. Ever think of sharing him, never done a threesome, but it be might fun." As she steered Cordelia away from the sheep.

Once they were far enough away, Cordelia said, "Thank you, I don't think I will ever forget the look on Harmony's face, not to mention Buffy and Willow who were a few feet behind you. That was fun and twists the knife a little on Willow."

"No probs, I meant it, he's good, 'specially it being his first time and all. If you weren't getting back together, I'd go again."

"Really? Because he's afraid you weren't happy since you kicked him out and all. Frankly, I'm not happy with you about that."

"Yah, I've thought about the way I acted and I think maybe, he scared me a little."

"Scared you, how?"

"Afterward, most guys just want to leave, he wanted to cuddle, he was looking at me like I was something special. It kinda scared me, I'm just not used to people giving a shit, you know?"

"I can see that, but you should talk to him, set him straight on that, so he doesn't wonder, he doesn't deserve that."

"No he doesn't. So you're not mad that we got our unh on together."

"No, we weren't together at the time and we are now, besides he was honest with me about. It was the first thing he told when we talked yesterday, along with the fact that he did some of that heroically stupid stuff he tends to do. It'll probably come up later so I won't get into it now, just know he earned himself a dope slap for what else he did that night."

"K." Before Faith could say anything else, they realized they were in front of the library doors and they could hear Alexander. Ranting.
