Confession

When Natsu confessed his feelings to Juvia, he never thought he would do it so impulsively. Of course, he had always been impulsive and he always acted without thinking. But this time, he wanted it to be different.

When Juvia and Gray broke up, he decided to spend time with her. She was sad and he wanted her to get better. She was his friend, like any member of Fairy Tail and he did not like seeing her like that. At first he wanted to see her stop crying, then he tried to make her smile and laugh. He had succeeded. It had taken time, but she was happy again.

Natsu realized that the more time he spent with her, the more he wanted to be with her. At first, he did not understand why. It was the first time he had felt this kind of feeling. He had never felt this way about Lucy or Lisanna. It took him a while to figure out what that meant. In fact, Happy had to jokingly tell him, "You looove her!", to make him realize that he was in love with Juvia. Love. He never thought this would happen to him. He was not one to make a big romantic declaration. Yet, he had tried to think of something special for Juvia. He plunged into the void by confessing his feelings to her. He was her friend, but did she feel more than friendship ?

Natsu opened his eyes wide, realizing what he had just said. Juvia had made him laugh by saying something funny, he could not remember what it was he had had a black hole, and without thinking he had said to her :

"I love you."

Juvia froze, as surprised as he was. What had gotten into him ? Why could not he think for once ? What was he going to do ? She had heard him, so it was too late to pretend he had not said anything.

"I… Well… It's not…" he stammered.

He did not know what to say to make up for it. Juvia had not moved an inch. He had not expected her to suddenly throw herself into his arms and kiss him. Natsu put his arms around her waist and kissed her back. Juvia pulled away slightly.

"Juvia loves you too."

A huge smile lit up Natsu's face. He moved his lips closer to hers and kissed her again. Juvia loved him and that was all that mattered.
