With the new movie coming out this July 2023 I have gotten back into the Zoey 101 characters and universe.
Logan & Quinn were my favorite couple from the show and wanted to write a cute little story about them.

Work Text:

Zoey Brooks knew life never went exactly the way you dreamed it could. She learned that the path she initially thought she would go down was very different when she graduated high school. It took her former roommate and best friend's wedding to realize that she had been kidding herself and that her life wasn't what she wanted. Back in PCA, everyone knew her as the girl who fixed problems and seemed to have everything put together. She would solve other people's issues and help them learn valuable lessons. She was embarrassed to say that she couldn't do the same for herself.

Turning in her bed, she groaned when she saw the clock read it was only a little past five in the morning. The hair and makeup team would arrive around seven to prepare the girls and Quinn for the wedding. This whole weekend felt like one giant mistake, one she wanted to run away from so severely, but she wouldn't do that to her friend. She would be there on the girl's special day, and when they went on their honeymoon, then she could run away and hide.

She was tired of lying in bed and figured she might as well get up. She slowly walked out of her room and threw the silk covers off her body. Trying not to make much noise, she headed to the kitchen to make some coffee and get a little snack. If she was going to be up, she might as well have something to eat, and maybe she could do some sketching. She hasn't been able to do that in a long while.

She walked through the hallway of the rented home they were staying in for the wedding. Logan had set the girl's up so they would have everything they needed to get ready. It still surprised her just how much the jerky guy who said girls couldn't play basketball had changed into a sweet and loving boyfriend. Neither her nor Lola would ever admit it out loud, but both were a little jealous of the treatment Quinn gets. Both were so happy for the girl; Lola had been messaging nonstop about how she was so excited about the wedding but was so sorry she was missing it because of her work schedule. Logan said he would give her a part in whatever movie he produces next so she could be there for Quinn, but she refused. Saying she wanted to make it on her own.

Looking at her watch, she saw the time and figured the time difference where Lola was currently meant it was nighttime. Dialing the number, she stood in the middle of the kitchen, fiddling with a banana.

"Hello?"

"Hey, how are you?" She asked, keeping her voice low as she spoke into the speaker.

"Zoey? Why are you whispering?" Lola's voice rang through, making the blonde lower the volume on her phone.

"Because it's like 5 am here, and everyone is still sleeping." Looking over her shoulder to make sure no one heard, she returned the banana and sat at the kitchen table.

Lola hummed in understanding on the other end. "How come you're awake?"

Zoey shrugged, momentarily forgetting that her friend couldn't see her. "I don't know," she sighed heavily, switching the phone from one ear to the other. "I think I'm just a little overwhelmed with everything."
Lola chuckled, "Shouldn't it be the bride who's overwhelmed on the wedding day?"
The blonde girl smiled sadly, "If Quinn is stressed, Logan is doing everything possible to ensure she's happy."
"How that boy is a top-tier boyfriend, I'll never understand." Lola scoffed, still in disbelief at the thought of Logan being such a good partner.
"Well, believe it," Zoey didn't mean to have an edge in her tone, but it was there. She's seen every interaction between the couple since she got the news, how they seemed to always be holding each other and looked so happy together. It was sickeningly sweet, and it was something she wanted. "If I'd known he could be such a good guy, I would have kissed him all those times he asked me to make out." She gave an empty laugh, expecting her friend to agree and laugh with her.
Only Lola was quiet on the other line. "Zoey, you aren't thinking of doing anything, are you?"
Zoey shuffled in her seat, "What? God no!" She scoffed, insulted her friend would even suggest such a thing. Didn't she know her? "I was joking. I mean, I always figured Logan would never get married or have a string to ex-wives like his father." She had pegged him for one way, but it turns out he was the total opposite. Nobody but Quinn saw him for who he really was. "Look, I didn't mean anything by my comment; I was just…" she sighed, running fingers through frizzy long blonde hair. "Chase is here, and I had always thought he and I would have been together at this point in our lives."

Now Lola understood and sighed with relief. "Feeling a little envious?"
Zoey nodded, "I thought we agreed we would never say that out loud."
This time Lola did laugh. "Yeah, well from the photos I've been getting from Quinn, I'm saying it. I am jealous she's marrying that boy and living the dream."
"She really is living the dream." Zoey couldn't help but sigh. Her friend was living the dream life she thought she would have.

"It's okay, you know." Lola softened her voice, what sounded like a book being put down on a table in the background. "All of us expected things to be different after high school, but just because life didn't go as planned doesn't mean the finale won't be good."
Zoey felt a little better after talking with her friend. "Yeah, you're right." Sighing to herself, she leaned back in the chair and looked around the magnificent kitchen. The whole room was about the size of her apartment. She opened her mouth to talk more with her friend but stopped when she saw Quinn standing outside on the balcony. "Quinn's awake."

The living room had the long and wide balcony the bride-to-be was currently on. Judging from the plush blanket and the half-empty coffee cup that was resting on the little end table, told Zoey the girl had been out there for a while.

"Put her on! I wanna wish her a happy wedding day!" Lola cheered, clapping on the other end. She had been planning on sending a text but being able to talk was so much better.

Zoey smiled, it would have been so amazing if the three girls could've gotten the chance to be together for this special day, but the phone call was a good close second. Getting up from her seat, she walked into the living room, hand on the already open balcony door but stopped when she heard a hard stomp on the concrete flooring. She jumped, back pressed against the living room wall and out of sight of those on the balcony.

"Logan?" Quinn's voice rang out in a hushed tone. "What are you doing here?" She gasped, footsteps quickening until she stood in the middle of the balcony with her back turned to him. "Don't you know it's bad luck for us to see each other before the wedding?!"

He walked up behind the girl, standing only a few feet away from her. "I know, but I wanted to talk with you."

"What's happening?"

Zoey hushed her friend, bringing the phone up close so she could whisper. "Logan just jumped on the balcony because he said he has to talk with her." She whispered into the receiver; she didn't want to be discovered.
"Put me on video. I wanna see!" Lola had to see for herself what was going on with the two soon-to-be newlyweds.
Zoey thought about it for a moment. On the one hand, she knew spying on her best friend was wrong, but usually, when someone says they have to talk, it's not usually a good thing. "Okay, but I'm putting you on mute." Switching the call to video, she muted the actress and crouched down so they could be out of view of the couple but still see what was happening.

Quinn kept her back to Logan, arms crossed over the soft ivory robe she wore. "Okay, so talk." She had her hair up in a messy bun and glasses on top of her hair.
Instantly he came up behind her to wrap his arms around her body, pulling her back against his chest and sighed into her hair. "I needed to see you before I didn't get to for hours."
She giggled, moving her arms so that her hands covered his. "We'll see each other soon enough at the ceremony."
"Not soon enough," he kissed her temple, nuzzling against her soft skin. "I promised myself once we left PCA that I would do everything to keep seeing you." He somehow managed to pull her closer to his body, hands running up and down the silk robe that covered her body. "Those years we were apart sucked, and I'll be damned if I let some stupid tradition keep me away from you."
Quinn let out a breathless laugh, turning around in his arms so that she could wrap her hands around his neck. "I like being with you too and hated not being able to wake up with you this morning." It was why she was out there this morning. She woke up in a bed that felt so empty and big that it became impossible to fall asleep.
He kissed her forehead. "Me too," he then pressed his forehead against hers. "I missed having you in my arms last night." Reaching one hand up, he pulled her glasses off her head and placed them gently on her face. "Hey, there's my Quinn."

She smiles, her love for him shining bright in her brown eyes. Standing on her toes, she pressed forward to kiss him. He happily returned the gesture, kissing her back. He had one hand on her lower back while the other held the back of her head. She kept her hands wrapped around his neck. Soon their little kids turned into more. Mouths open so tongues could dance as moans sang out in between breaths. Hands started to wonder, grabbing flesh and pulling at clothing.
Quinn's hands pulled at his t-shirt and jeans, pushing the shirt up so she could work on his zipper. He pulled the robe down to her shoulders, sucking on her neck collarbone. She moaned more, arching her neck to give him more access to her body. Slowly he pushed her against the wall, one hand held out to soften the impact in order to not cause her discomfort. They returned to kissing as she freed his member from his pants and he grabbed at her butt. With a simple lift, she wrapped her legs around his waist and he entered her body. They both groaned at the first thrust, taking the time to adjust to one another with simple and sweet kisses. Before long the need grew too great and they began. He wrapped both arms around her, keeping her body up so that he could thrust inside her wet core. She buried her face in his neck, now she was the one sucking on his skin as one hand pulled on his soft brown locks.
Soft heated gasps escaped her when he hit a certain spot inside her while he hissed as she started to clench tighter around his member. He tried to keep the pace sweet but she pulled the back of his hair, making his head fall back so she could kiss more of his neck. This was her sign for him that she didn't want sweet and slow, she had the same urgency as him. Moving one hand off her body, he pressed against the wall to have more support as he picked up the pace. She still had one leg wrapped around his waist while the other had fallen down, now wrapping around his leg. She kept one hand gripped in his hair while the other ran up his shirt, stroking his muscles as she moaned into his ear.

With one final thrust they came, him shooting inside her while she clenched tightly around his member. They held each other close, panting heavily as their hearts tried to return to a steady rate. Slowly he pushed off the wall, making sure to have a hold of her and keep them both steady. She carefully put both feet back down on the ground, giggling a little when he foraged as he pulled out of her. She helped him zip his still-hard member back up. Usually, one go wasn't enough for them but today they just did not have the time. Besides, neither really cared so much for sex and just wanted to be together.
Interlacing their hands together, they kissed some more. A gentle touch with a promise of so much more. After a moment, the sun started to rise up more into the sky, indicating the day was now starting. Quinn's alarm rang out, letting them know it was time to start getting ready.

"I'll see you later, Mr. Reese." She wrapped her arms back around his neck, swaying slightly on her feet as if she was slowly dancing with him.
He placed his hands on her hips and gave her a loving smile. "Can't wait, Mrs. Reese."
She giggled, "That's still Pensky to you."
"Not for long." With one last kiss, he left her. She watched him from the edge of the railing as he climbed down the balcony. When he landed safety on the group he looked up at her and blew a kiss. She blew one back with her left hand, the engagement ring she wore sparkly in the sunlight.

Letting out a long dreamy sigh, she fixed herself up to head back inside. The bun she once had her hair up in came undone, making her shoulder-length locks fall freely against her shoulders. She tied her robe up, making sure to check for any marking but saw none. Fixing her glasses on her face, she made her way back inside with careful steps. She walked slowly inside the living room and gently closed the balcony door. Her plan was to take a little power nap before she gets ready for her big day. Only she stopped short when she saw her old roommate and best friend crouching down on in the corner of the room, her phone clenched between her fingers showing a video call with Lola. Both girls looked absolutely shell-shocked and a little spooked.
"Zoey? Why are you on the ground? And why do you two both look so-?!" She gasped, taking three steps back and pulling her robe so tight it went up to her neck. The realization of why they appeared so disturbed came to mind. Her face turned beet red when she made eye contact with both girls who had their eyes and mouths wide open. "So…" she laughed awkwardly, swaying a bit more in an uncomfortable manner. "I don't really know what I'm supposed to say in a situation like this." She had an IQ of 177 but this situation completely stumped her.

Snapping out of it long enough, Zoey sprang to her feet, arms flailing out to stop her friend from speaking. "We won't say a word about this. Just pretend neither of us were here."
Quinn nodded and gave a thumbs up, "I like that plan."

Both girls fled to their rooms and locked the doors.

Zoey threw herself face-first onto the mattress, gasping a little as her mind kept replaying what she had seen. From the moment the kiss had started to become more than just a kiss she knew what was coming but it was like watching an accident happen. She couldn't look away no matter how badly she wanted to. It was mortifying seeing your best friends have sex but it also felt like she had intruded on such a personal moment. It was more than just sex with them. She had always scoffed and made fun of people who use the term lovemaking but that was the only way to describe what she had seen. Rolling onto her back, she stared at the ceiling. Wondering how she was going to face Quinn in the next hour. She could only hope that the girl would never tell Logan because she doesn't think she could deal with that.
Especially considering she felt a little turned on by their display.

Shaking her head, she went to cover her hands but bopped herself in the face with her phone. She had completely forgotten about Lola. Flipping the device around, she saw that the video was still going but Lola was sitting in her chair. Her hair & makeup was all done, dressed in a very cute outfit with the script to the movie she was in, resting in her lap. Her face seemed frozen in shock, brown eyes so wide they looked ready to pop out and her mouth hung open. "Lola?" She called, unmuting the call and trying to snap her friend out of it but it seemed that seeing the two go at it was enough to make her freeze in shock. "I'll talk with you later." Laughing she ended the call, making a mental note to check in on her friend later. Maybe they could both work on a memory-blocking technique or if they were lucky Quinn would be able to erase their minds. For now, she was going to try and get some sleep and she prayed her dreams were empty.
