On October 13 2012 in Piedmont California at 4:00 AM, two fraternal twins known as Dipper and Mabel, had absolutely no idea that there were three black hooded strangers outside, that were trying to kill them. The two of them were simply fast asleep, completely unaware of the dangers outside.
In the street just outside their house, were the three masked murderers in question. On of them was currently holding a laptop. "Okay guys, i've hacked into the main power source of the town, and all of the security cameras in the neighborhood are dead" said the guy with the laptop. The two other guys then went up to the front door, and very quietly, worked together to pry it open with a crowbar. Then they quietly went up the stairs, took out paintbrushes, and began coating the twins bedroom door with kerosine. Then they lit the door on fire with a match, and booked it out outta there. All three criminals left the scene of the crime.
Back inside the house, the twins heard the sound of the smoke alarm going off, and instantly woke up. "Darn it, dad needs to stop making eggs at midnight" said Mabel. But upon reaching the door, they felt that their bodies were feeling warm, and they quickly backed up. "Um, Mabel, I think the door is on fire" said Dipper. "What are we gonna do?" asked Mabel. "That's our only way out." They then heard screaming from the other side of the door. The screaming was coming from their parents, Alex and Samantha.
Over at the firehouse, the fire department had just been informed of what was going on. "Wow, Alex was always notorious for being a bad cook and burning everything, but this is too much" said the fire chief. "And this late at night no less" replied another firefighter. "That man is not a very suitable father" said the chief.
The fire department arrived on the scene, noticing that the whole neighborhood had been woken up. They could see the twins leaning out of their bedroom window, horror on their faces. Their parents were now safely out of the house, and were really worried for their children. While one firefighter was getting a ladder ready, two of his partners put on oxygen masks, and went inside to tackle the blaze.
Authors note: Attempted murder is not the only crime being committed here, the other crime is arson. Arson is the act of deliberately setting fire to someone's property.
In real life, disabling all of the security cameras in an entire neighborhood, is a lot more difficult than how it seems in this fanfic. I'm no tech genius, but i'm pretty sure it takes more than just a laptop.
