Author's Note
I'm sure this story will offend someone out there who are all about the Taliban. I do not hate, nor do I like the Taliban. I wouldn't join them because I think the Taliban is really a boy's club run by pompous, arrogant, and cruel men. Just like every other boy's club has ever existed.
I believe that religion is a very rickety thing. It can be good, and there are good people practicing many types of religion. Even devil worshipers, which, ironically, are some of the best people I've ever met.
But I've seen and endured enough of different religion's dark, seedy underbellies to know that there are many people who hide their asshole tendencies in their religion. There are people who will twist their religious texts in grotesque ways to self-serve and justify immoral atrocities against other humans. History is riddled with these examples. As will the future, I would guess.
