As I pulled up to Betty's house on my motorcycle I could feel my heart beating fast. She was sitting on the front step waiting for me with the biggest smile on he face. She was so beautiful. She walked over and gave me hug.

Betty is my girlfriend and proud owner of the town newspaper. She has helped solved countless mysteries here in the wicked little town of Riverdale and I honestly couldn't imagine my life without her.

Betty - "Hi Jug. Let's go I'm starving."

Jughead - "Well nice to see you too."

Betty - "Sorry, I just haven't eaten all day. I've been working on this piece for the paper and I just completely lost track of time."

I laughed, it was just like Betty to be entirely focused on one thing and forget about everything else. It was why she was so good at solving mysteries, she wasn't easily avoided and she never gave up. If she wanted something done it would happen no matter what.

Jughead - "So you're ready to go then?"

Betty - "Ha ha, very funny."

She climbed onto the back of my motorcycle and put on her helmet. Ten minutes later we were sitting in a booth at Pop's diner. I know not the most romantic setting but it was where we had some of the best times of our life, me Betty, Archie, and Veronica all laughing in a booth at Pop's. It was the perfect place to ask Betty to marry me.

Betty - "What are you getting Jug?"

Jughead - "A burger. What about you?"

Betty - "I can't decide it all sound so good. I think I'm going to get a burger too though."

Pop - "What can I get for you kids?"

Pop was the manager of Pop's and he made the best burgers in town. He was always there and everyone knew and loved him. The diner was owned by Veronica but she never changed it. Everything still sat in the same place it had since I was a little kid.

Jughead - "Two burgers and a vanilla milkshake please Pop."

Pop - "Coming right up."

Jughead - "We've had some great times together right here in this booth, haven't we?"

Betty - "Yeah, to bad everyone's always to busy to hang out anymore."

Betty was right. After Archie's music career picked up and Veronica expanded her rum empire neither of them were ever in town anymore, but little did Betty know is that both were on their way to Pop's at this very moment to surprise her.

Pop - "Two burgers and one vanilla milkshake, here you go."

Betty - "Thank you Pop."

Pop smiled and nodded. I picked up my burger and looked at it. For once in my life I wasn't hungry, my mind was elsewhere. I picked up a French fry and began twirling it on my plate. Betty looked up and raised her eyebrows.

Betty - "Is something wrong Jug? I don't think I've ever seen one of Pop's burgers last that long around you."

I laugh and shrug.

Jughead - "Guess I'm just not hungry."

Betty - "You're up to something, aren't you?"

Jughead - "Not at all. Why do you ask?"

Archie - "Hey Jug, if you're not going to eat that burger can I have?"

Betty jumps and turns around. There standing behind her were Archie and Veronica.

Betty - "OMG! When did you guys get here? How did you get here? I thought you were both in New York?"

Veronica - "Surprise!"

Archie - "We were in New York until Jughead invited us up."

Betty turned back to me and frowned.

Betty - "Why didn't you tell me."

Jughead - "Because it was part of the surprise."

Betty - "What surprise?"

Veronica - "This one."

I got down on one knee and opened the box. Her eyes widened .

Jughead - "Elizabeth Grattan Cooper will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?"

Betty - "Yes, yes, a hundred times yes!"

I stood up and hugged her. Archie and Veronica run over and hug us both.

Archie - "Congrats you guys!"

Veronica - "We're so happy for you guys!"

I took hold of Betty's hand and carefully slipped on the silver engagement ring with the twin gold snakes wrapped together to make an infinity symbol.

Veronica - "That ring is perfect."

Jughead - "And thank you to Veronica for helping me to design it."

Betty - "Thank you so much V! It's beautiful!"

We all sat down and Pop came over with more milkshakes. That night we all sat in the booth and talked for hours. In that moment everything was perfect.
