Chapter 1: The Tombstone Prologue
The rain poured down onto the cemetery in Harlem, fitting the feeling of how everyone has been feeling this week. There had been a lot of deaths recently, and all of the Spider-Men and Spider-Women were dealing with more than they'd ever had to before. Standing under an umbrella, Miles looked down at a tombstone.
Miles stood there, and for the first time in a long time, felt as if he didn't know where he belonged. This was a feeling that felt both familiar and foreign at once. He didn't know what to do...he had lost his mother, his father, and now...this.
He bent down to one knee, and placed some flowers on the grave. Miles closed his eyes for a moment, then stood all the way up and opened his eyes, saying three words: "Goodbye...Peter Parker."
