"Yvonne!" I gasped. She frowned and walked up to the door.
"I-I realized that I forgot to grab my pencil..." I pulled her back in the hotel room and closed the door behind her, pushing her onto the door, surprising her "Calem..?"

Look!" She pointed. She's really into jewelry that I'm not surprised that she gets excited about the glowing crystals "You think we're allowed to take one?"
"I'm pretty sure they sell some in the souvenir shops" I said, watching her getting a closer look in the cave and looked at the outfit she had on. She hadn't had this outfit from what I've seen, so I assume she bought it at a shop in town.
Yvonne noticed me staring and posed for me, catching me off guard "You like my outfit?" I blushed and looked at her blue crop top followed by a high waisted white skirt that reached down to her mid thighs. It matched well with her blue felt hat.
"Yeah. You look good in blue" she smiled "I'm assuming it's your favorite color?"

"You got me" she laughed with her Delphox "How come you keep leaving in the morning to go shopping? I can go with you" She tilted her head confused.
"Huh? I wouldn't think a boy would want to go shopping with a girl" well, that's true. They do take their time with it "Had your friends ever asked you to go shopping with them?" We decided to stop hanging around the outside of the cave since Yvonne was getting uncomfortable with the blazing sun and went in and walk the path.
"Yeah. Serena and Shauna use to ask me all the time to go shopping with them. They mostly just want me to carry their bags, but it was mostly Serena asking me to go with her. I always refused because she'd take hours just window shopping"
"And you asked why I didn't ask you?" I shrugged.
"I was a kid back then. I had other things I wanted to do" I sighed "but I feel like now if I just knew what happened to Serena, I wouldn't mind going out to shop with her" Even with the keychain out of sight, out of mind, I end up still talking about her "Sorry... I shouldn't keep talking about this when I'm with you"

She always tried getting my attention, but I would always brush her off because I was always busy doing something else, and when I did have time, I always complained about her taking too long shopping. I even got to the point where it kinda got annoying with how many times she asked me for a battle... but I take all that any day instead of not knowing what happened to her"
"Calem..." I shook my head and looked at Yvonne's sad eyes looking at mine.

Oh, she means when she walked out the hotel room last night "Let's keep walking" I nodded and quietly went through the cave with Yvonne, regretting ever mentioning Serena. Thinking about earlier, seeing her sad eyes, I wish I didn't say anything at all. I hated when she was sad...
"Look! There's a opening with light inside!" She pointed up again. Delphox hissed and kept Yvonne from going in recklessly "what is it?"
"It might have felt something unsafe in that direction" I kept her behind me "Stay behind me" I walked into the cave with string lights on the corners of the cave instead of crystals.
"The researcher guy must be in trouble then..." Yvonne said. Earlier we had went to the fossil museum to learn more about mega evolution. I've been slacking on trying to figure out what it does and thought to do it now since we've been busy with other things on the road.
Once entering the new opening, there stood a man standing in the middle of a wide opening with carts filled with rocks and railroad tracks. He was turned the other way on the phone before hearing Yvonne gasp at the sight of him.
"Hm?" The guy noticed us "What's this?"
"Yvonne. What's wrong?" I looked behind me at her hiding deep behind my back. Her Deplox glared at the person in all red and prepared itself for battle. I grabbed a Pokéball in hand just in case something happens. I don't know why the two behind me are freaking out, but if Yvonne knew them, it can't be anything good.
"Well well well" the guy walked up to us "What do we have here?" He tilted his head to look behind me "Not one, but two little trainers has come poking around"
"What's it to you?" I glared. The guy snorted and crossed his arms "Who are you?"
"We're the fashionable team whose very name makes people tremble in fear: Team Flare!" Yvonne gripped on my jacket. This guy was trouble... I don't want Yvonne to get involved "Team Flare's goal is to make it so we're the only ones who are happy!"
"What?! So you're crooks!" Yvonne was shaking behind me.
"We don't care one bit about what happens to other trainers and Pokémon" he continued.
"Calem..." Yvonne called me, sounding afraid "Let's get out of here. These guys are dangerous"
"We don't want trouble..." I explained. Hearing Yvonne's scared voice made me want to do something about the guy that probably did something to her, but I can't get her involved.
The grunt smacked his lips together "Get out of here, kid. Don't you know not to play with fire?" Having no choice, I moved out the way to get Yvonne out of here. As soon as I turned to take her out, she was pulled away from me by her hair and was forced to face the grunt smirking down at her.
"Hey there, I didn't think I get to run into you in a place like this" he told her.
"Hey!" My voice echoed across the cave. A few other people in the same tacky red suit came running from another corner and covered the grunt holding Yvonne tightly by her neck.
"Ow!" She whined.
"Del!" Delphox glared and summoned balls of Fire to surround us. I threw out my Greninja to fight off these grunts getting in my way.
"How long as it been since I had saw you?" He asked her, brushing against her ear.
"Yvonne!" I shouted, growing angrier by the minute. Greninja felt much anger and fought with me with five against two. Delphox fought on its own, wanting to get its trainer back.
"Let go!" Yvonne tried moving his hand away, but ended up getting shaken to stop.
"You think I'm going to let you go after what you did to me?" He moved his red glasses to show off the scar lining horizontally across both his eyes "You tried making me go blind!"
"You tried raping me! So fuck you!" She spat in his face. He threw her on the floor and aimed to stomp on her head, but then she spun like a spinning toy and threw her foot to knock him on his cheek to throw him against the wall. I was stunned to see that technique. It almost reminded me of...
"You little..." the grunt groaned. Yvonne stood back up and looked at Delphox.
"Delphox! Mystical fire!" Delphox gathered the fireballs around us and made a wall to knock into the grunts and their Pokémon. The burns had overwhelmed them and had them scatter out the cave. I quickly put my attention to the grunt climbing on top of Yvonne on the ground and pinned her down with one hand while the other begun unbuttoning his pants. Greninja and I dashed towards them as fast as possible.
Greninja pulled Yvonne back while I grabbed the grunt and punched his face a few times over and over, feeling my rage overpower me. I couldn't stop swinging my arms.
Still going on with punching the grunt now covering his face with his arms, my body floated in the air and pulled me away from him, letting him make a run for it.
"Hey!" I glared and looked to see that it was Delphox who was levitating me to get off the grunt. I was breathing heavily, feeling like my rage cooling down, and hurried over to Yvonne laying on Greninja's arms.
"Yvonne..." I took her hand, watching her breathing heavily while sweating. She looked up at me and smiled.
"Did you like my spin attack?" She chuckled. I sighed and brought her up to hold her in my arms "Calem..."
"I'm sorry... I should had held onto you closer. Are you okay?" She held my arm, holding me back.
"I'm fine..." some footsteps were running towards us. We looked over to see a man in a lab coat rushing towards us.
"There was a lot of ruckus, so I came to see what was going on" he said. He was most likely the scientist we were looking for.
"Team Flare was making a disturbance here. Did they mess with you?" I asked.
"Who?" He must not have noticed.
"Nevermind then" I sighed and hugged Yvonne again "Let's get out of here... It's not worth staying" I picked her up and walked out the cave, feeling a bubble of anger still forming in my body. I can't believe how slow I was to save her... If I was just more careful, this wouldn't have happened.
